Prime Thai? No.. it’s prime GARBAGE!! The place is so unsanitary and so dirty that it can’t even be hidden from the public eye. It’s one thing to raise prices due to inflation but it doesn’t make sense to skimp out on the food even more every time the prices raise a dollar or 2 (which they increase frequently!) The new cooks do not make the recipes the same either, food does not taste up to par nor fresh.

Update: Well once again, I’ve been disappointed with my food even after a new owner has taken over. I gave it benefit of doubt to try again because I thought this new management would have improved this place but I was wrong. The prime Thai platter has to be a joke. Everything in it was either soaked up in oil, overcooked, or empty! The shrimp rolls were just 2 pieces of overcooked and burnt shrimp, half way filled, the rest is just air of the spring roll skins. I couldn’t even eat the crispy rolls, they were INEDIBLE and insanely soggy, I can not believe the amount of oil that came out of it. Like I said before and I say again.. prime garbage!!

Got my order from this place. Order drunken noodle with vegetables.there was no vegetables. My husband got vegtable delight his had no vegetables either. Thus was my second time ordering from here will not do that again

If you are reading this please never waste your money here. I used to come here all the time and it was always the best thai I’ve had. Now I’m pissed off. I understand they’re under new management but putting apple cider vinegar as a dipping sauce for crab rangoons deserves jail time. Not to mention they weren’t even actual crab rangoons, they were flat and made with a sour crab filling and a different kind of dough. We ordered a veg curry, curry noodle, and a gang dang. All barely edible. The veg curry and gang dang barely had anything in it just a container full of sauce. My curry noodle barely had any beef and tasted like fish. I don’t even smoke cigs but I’m gonna have to take a step outside here in a minute and spark one up to wrap my mind around what the hell I just ingested. Thank you prime thai for causing me emotional distress and ruining my night.

Edit 8/3/24: I'm not sure what happened, but something has drastically changed with this place. Ordered drunken noodles and the prime Thai platter. The people were nice, but the food was just bland. The crab Rangoon was just literally folded in half, and everything just really lacked flavor. The drunken noodles had spice, but it's definitely not the same as it was before. Unfortunately I won't be returning again. I don't know if this place was sold, or they lost all their staff. But the food is just lackluster.

Under new management and the service was warm and attentive, food was flavorful and beautifully presented. Large portions for the price. Some of the best Thai food we’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend!

We tried it tonight for the first time. The drunken noodles had everything in them except flavor and sauce. So dry and no taste. Boba tea was chunks of ice and overcooked pearls. Tried once against warnings from others, but never again.

This was one of the worst Thai restaurants I’ve ever been to. I didn’t realize it is a different owner than it used to be. I walked in and it is freezing cold. No heat at all. Then it’s incredibly dirty and the menus were sticky and just have random things crossed out. I ordered hot and sour soup, which is listed without meat on the menu. Then red curry with fried tofu, brown rice and extra veggies. The soup came out freezing cold. Another customer complained of the same thing. And it had huge chunks of meat in it which I do not eat. The waiter took the other customer’s soup and put it in the microwave. My food actually came out extremely hot and was pretty good initially. But then I was noticing random pieces of tofu tasted really weird and off. I ended up spitting out one of the pieces and not eating the rest. I am a huge fan of Thai food but I didn’t even bring the leftovers. I am hoping I don’t get sick.

I've had fried veggie rolls, vegetables delight stir fry with chicken, chicken drunken noodles, chicken pad Thai all were good dishes in my opinion 😋 👌 if you go during the week they have the hot and sour soup for free it has a kick to it but very good 👍

Too spicy. The lowest amount of spice you can select through grubhub or doordash is mild but thier mild is painfully spicy. Please add a Not spicy option for online ordering. The food is good otherwise.

I normally love their food, but not this time. I departed from my usual order based on the popular dish suggestion. The shrimp rolls were raw and the kow pad khana tasted like it was cooked in an old shoe. It only takes one bad experience. I won't ever be back.

Waitress friendly and attentive. Food beautifully prepared, very generous. My Gang Dang, in a savory red curry coconut milk sauce, was loaded with more vegetables than I have ever had in any restaurant. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his Sesame Chicken.
I love ethnic food. Now, between LaMarsa and Prime Thai, I can call Waterford Home Sweet Home.

I think they have the best pad Thai in Waterford. Boyfriend thinks their basil fried rice is the best. He loves their spring rolls, I love their crab rangoons. Their Thai tea is amazing! Honestly can’t go wrong here!

This place was so delicious. The crab rolls were the best and certainly our most pleasant surprise. Like a spring roll but filled with the most delicious cream cheese filling and huge chunks of crab.

Our chicken pad Thai was also delicious, but we ordered mild, which we usually order from other places and can handle more spice, and this was just a tad too spicy for us.

This was our go to, around the corner, Thai spot. I don’t know what happened or maybe they have a new chef but today we ordered 2 pineapple fried rices with chcicken, a pad Thai with chicken and 2 orders of crab ragoon. The crab ragoon was delicious 10/10, it was flavorful, crispy and had a good amount of filling in each wonton. Unfortunately we can’t say the same about the rest of the meal, We pretty much tossed everything else out. The pineapple fried rice were both super bland and soggy with no flavor at all and the pad thai was dry and bland also had no flavor. I’m not sure what changed but I hope this was just an off night but I’ll be staying away for now.

Delicious food and friendly staff. We came in on a Saturday night and there were plenty of empty tables. Our server suggested the potstickers as an appetizer as they were made in house and they were amazing! Hot and crispy and delicious. Just be cautious when choosing your spice level on the dishes: I usually consider myself to have a medium tolerance, so since it was a level 2/5 on the spice chart, I chose medium. It was definitely spicier than I would have preferred, so I plan to order mild next time! The food was still delicious and the mango bubble tea helped to cut the spice level.

Food and service was great. Both the hot and sour soup and the miso soup were amazing, as was the platter with different rolls. Shrimp tempura roll was a favorite. Sashimi was not a hit for me and neither was the roll with ground chicken. Overall will be back due friendly service and to try more things . Portions are very generous and good prices worth the value

BEST drunken noodles I've ever had!! I'm so impressed!

We went for dinner on January 5, 2023. Service was wonderful, there was one lady working the whole room *they were not busy* but she was so nice, and helpful. She brought us samples of the hot sour soup, and ginger salad dressing just because she thought we would love it.

I ordered some Maki rolls and nigiri, and my gf got pad thai. The sushi was AMAZING, And the pad thai beyond being delicious was a A HUGE portion.

Prices were very fair.

They also give free soup during their lunch hours. I will 100% be coming back. Highly recommend

Restaurant had just opened and they were still setting up. They were very responsive to me and answered all questions I had. I ordered Pad Cashew done medium. Portion was large for a lunch portion. Price was reasonable. As this was take out, I was pleasantly surprised how good this dish was. I was also my first order from them.

Wouldn't honor their own coupon, left out key ingredients and the sushi was warm. Kroger offers better sushi than this place.

We stopped here to grab a bite before heading to see a show back in November. Ordered shrimp appetizer and an order of spicy tuna, along with the spicy fried chicken dish. Overall I thought the food was good. The one star dock was simply because I was struggling to get them to make a spicy tuna handle for me. They didn’t know what it was. Cheers

Incredible! Many of the Thai restaurants in the area offer great food. Prime Thai, however, is a different caliber of delicious. Ordered the Curry Noodle (Hot) w/Chicken. Without question: Five stars.

Won't be back. Made chicken instead of tofu for vegetarian gf. Called to explain what happened and simply asked for a credit for a later purchase. Nope. Made us drive back out at 830pm so they could take the chicken dinner and throw it away and remake her dinner for which she no longer had an appetite. We could have done that. Customer service truly lacking. The mistake could have been dealt with more easily and kept us as a customer. 3 or 4 other thai places around that will get our business.

Wow. The broccoli in my main dish was spoiled. It smelled aweful. And the Tom Ka soup was the inedible. Both items smelled unfresh. I will never go back. And you shouldn't either.

I do not eat spicy food often but love Thai food. Usually when I order mild, it’s fine. This time I ordered no spice level for Pad Thai and drunken noodles. Both were so spicy my daughter and I were having a difficult time eating our dinner. How is NO SPICE level able to burn your mouth and your lips.? I don’t get it! And my Pad Thai had a very strong vinegar flavor. Disappointed!

I have only ordered the shrimp tempura rolls which were pretty good however very expensive. 4 rolls cost almost $50 So $12 a roll. The problem was with the lady who took the order. She was very disorganized and I don’t know if she was talking to or herself but to take my order took a very long time and when I asked a question about the food she didn’t know what to do … as if she was there by herself and didn’t have anyone to ask … like the people making it … anyways I have not had bad food there …

Great restaurant in Waterford near intersection of M59 and Elizabeth Lake Rd. In the Plaza. We've gotten take out twice. Very good food. We had Pad Thai with Chicken and Fried Rice with Chicken. Both were excellent. Portions are very generous. Enough food for leftovers for me. My son's a big guy, he ate it all. Extensive seating with nice booths. The manager and the waitress were very friendly and informative. They have several gluten free options. Closed Tuesdays.

Such a wonderful change of pace from the standard fair that's been here in Waterford/White Lake. I love the massamun curry and it's always delightfully spicy, just as I want it to be. If you're in the area, it's definitely worth the time to stop by and grab a bite

Each time I order carry out here I get home and something is wrong with the order. Missing items, order not correct etc..which means I have to drive back and get the corrected items. So it takes two trips to the place just to eat dinner. I’ve been patient and kind about the mess ups but it’s such a waste of time and energy. This last visit allowed me the pleasure of meeting Tony, the owner, who solidified the fact that happy customers and repeat business are not important. I won’t be back, it’s just not worth all the hassle for over priced, just ok tasting food, that is most likely not what you even ordered. I’ll drive the extra quarter mile up the road and get my dinner at So Thai. Step up your customer service game Tony.

Food is so so. We ordered the Tom Yum soup with chicken. It has lemon grass in it. Took a spoon full and chewed abit. Something hard in it and before I knew it, it was stuck in my throat. Luckily I was able to get it out. Went thru the rest of the soup. Found about ten pieces that were hard like a tooth pick. Took it back to the restaurant. Talked with cook or someone that was a owner. He said that its filler that goes in the soup. FILLER WITH STICKS!!!! Told him I could have coked to death if I hadn't got it out. Didn't even say he was sorry. Or offer a refund. I will not go back there. Recommen to all don't go there.

Ordered from here about 6 months ago got my order home the pot stickers I was all excited about had no soy sauce dip with it,it's the only reason why you would get it! had to drive all the way back there took me 6 months to go back.. got my order home same exact thing happened! I had no sauce for my pot stickers no sauce for my crab rangoons just sauce for the spring rolls. (which were all very tasty don't get me wrong but 80% of it is the dipping sauce!) I spent $60 there I barely eat out..very disappointing! My delivery guy was awesome though

We went to So Thai at its new location and happened to be closed that day. Went to Prime Thai instead for dinner to check it out. Ordered hot tea and potstickers...which came out with our dinners. Potstickers were so over fried it was oily and too crunchy. Lacked flavor. Tea container was filthy. Table was sticky and fruit flies kept bouncing off of us. I asked for no spice in my Pad Thai. Totally had spice in it. My daughter's Kickboxing chicken was not good quality. Very little meat in a doughy deep fried ball. She said the rice tasted like it had chemicals in it. I tried it and agreed. Bubble tea came as a slushy drink with whip cream on top ?? Gross Boba. Low quality ingredients used in their food! Dirty! To top it off, when the waitress brought my daughter's dinner, she took my appetizer plate in front of me that I just used with sauce on it and put it in front of my daughter, added a spoon, and put her dinner down. Wth? Just gross! $45 bill. We both agreed....So Thai is 100% better. Go eat at both and you'll see the difference in quality ingredients and cleanliness. Quit wasting our hard earned money cheap low quality restaurants of Waterford! Prime just made that list....

I got a spicy poke bowl. They was no edamame or seaweed salad; instead, there was romaine lettuce and cucumber. I got the fried catfish curry. The curry was very oily, and the catfish was frozen in the middle. I also got a bubble tea with hard uncooked bubbles. Need I say more?

First time ordering to try it out. Had the mild pad thai with chicken, flavor was good but for sure a medium spice level. Had the fried Philly roll which was not good. The oil was probably not hot enough since it was soaked in oil and not fried long enough since the batter was still very light and not crispy at all. It mostly just tasted like it was made at a fish and chips place that doesn't change their oil. My husband had the pad see you which he said was ok but agreed on the spice level for mild was way too spicy.

Pad Thai was the Worst that I've ever had. Why are there pickled peppers, green peppers, green beans, corn in it? No egg, no bean sprouts. Chicken pad pak was terrible. Everything was just Wrong. It was brought back to see if it was made right. It was even worse. How does this happen. I would give negative stars if I could.

We are a lot of freshly made sushi. Absolutely loved it. Great spring rolls also. Hard to really say how much it cost per person cause we all shared.

We just left here and were served spoiled food. Our server was great but we will never be back. And apparently our experience isn't the only one like it! Do not go. We have been gone for ten minutes and my boyfriend is already getting sick.

Had the red curry cat fish here it was amazing, the portions are huge so you’ll have a lot to take home. The staff here are also very nice.

Scallops tasted a little odd.

Sushi is back and better than ever in this location.

Food is very good. They are not skimpy on the meat like most places.

Food was cooked perfectly, was served quickly and hot to our table. Service was amazing. Not sure if was the owner or the chef who came to check in on is multiple times but it was much appreciated. Of the Thai restaurants in the area, this one is definitely our favorite and we will be back.

My wife and I ordered from here for the first time tonight. We got par Thai and sweet chili fried rice. Our experience was excellent from the start. Ordered over the phone and the person taking our order was kind and helpful. The food was made quickly, which had me skeptical. When we arrived the building seemed really nice and I would consider eating in next time. The quantity of food was crazy seemed like several lbs of food for 2 people. There will surely be left overs. Finally the taste. I felt like things were a bit spicier than some other places (my mild+ would be a medium at other places) but everything tasted great. Tons of veggies and meat in my fried rice. Definitely worth the money. We would absolutely recommend this place.

Tried this place for the first time after it changed ownership. I got the Kickboxing chicken mild. It was so loaded with MSG and sodium I couldn't eat a third of it. There wasn't even any spice or flavor besides overpowering sodium the rice was all clumpy as well. I will never be back. Way overpriced also.

This was not the best Thai I had but not the worst.

I wish I could give them zero stars. They food was just ew.1) I got fried Philly rolls and they were mushy and just overpowering taste of salmon ( I've had Philly rolls from numerous places and none have ever served such grossness) 2) the veggie egg rolls just had nothing but the taste of pepper.3) the pad thia chicken noodles had no real flavor. Just spicy and mushy. 4) the California rolls had this wierd yellow beads looking thing on the rice and my daughter didn't like the way they stuck in her mouth. THREW AWAY ALL THE FOOD!! Gonna have to order from so thai where I know its good.

Best in Waterford. Keep up the great service. Chicken pad thai is really good. Great portion for the price. The bubble teas are really good also.

Very strong cigarette odor on the women working the front. Disgustingly unpleasant to walk into a restaurant and having the surrounding air smell foul.

The Chicken pad Thai is awesome! Also I recommend the salmon avacado roll and the firecracker roll. Everything tastes so fresh.

I liked prime Thai however I was embarrassed when my card got declined and I had to cancel my order Thai food is good even though I haven't eat it in a long time they also have Japanese food too no alcohol though but they do have pop and coffee and tea too nice place decorated nice too they serve for lunch and dinner I would try eating there soon again for lunch and or dinner I would recommend this place they do have loyal customers who I think enjoy I'm not entirely sure though nice place though

Had nothing but a great experience here! We’ve been two times and have been blown away both times. The prices are amazing for what you get:) the spring rolls were huge and very fresh as was the poke bowl. My boyfriend got a pad won sen and loved it. Today we got five of the sushi rolls and all were amazing! Easily on par if not better than miyakos. The service was also amazing between the hostess, waiter and chef we felt very welcome. 100/10 recommend. Please keep their business up!!

Pad thai was gross ordered medium and was not spicy at all not even a little. It was more sweet than anything and lacked flavor. Fried tofu was even more disappointing, there costumer service was good, but food was very bad.

Today I was going to try this place for the first time. Unfortunately they put a bad taste in my month with their inability to be professional. 1st I called to place an order and was put on hold for a long time. During that time I was on hold I could hear other customers information and then employee talking a lot of junk about other customers with swear words. I don’t want to go to a place where my information can be heard and employees who think it is ok to talk bad about others.

I wanted to like Prime Thai because their customer service was great and friendly, but the food was lacking. The seasonings and flavors were not like any Thai restaurant I've ever been to. Some of the food even tasted like it was heated up food from the grocery store.

Prime Thai was fantastic, both food and service. The food was fresh and the portions were very generous!!!! Definitely will go back again.

First, the bubble tea is the best I've ever had, and I've had it in several states, including CA. It is different than other places, with a more icy/ice cream texture.

Second, the food. In the past couple weeks, I had the pad Thai and garlic fried rice. The portions are perfect, but the quality leaves a little to be desired. The garlic fried rice barely had any garlic flavor. Pad Thai was good but Thai legend down the road has a bit more flavor.

First time, thought I’d try them out. Not feeling great so I got chicken Tom Kai, wow, NOT GOOD! The soup was curdled like cottage cheese and tasted as such. Who would serve that!!? I called, they said they would replace it(cause when I’m sick that exactly what I feel like doing) but honestly, they saw what they were putting in the to-go container and served it anyway, no thank you. This place will have to do much better to stay open, they have lost my business. A mistake is ok, I understand, but a conscious decision to serve a customer food that is clearly curdled, visually sub-par… that’s not a mistake. It’s like trying to pass off a salad with brown lettuce.

Our first time trying this place was tonight. We ordered Vegetable Pad Thai which ended up being just noodles & peanuts with a few bits of carrot & sprouts. We also ordered Pad Cashew which was basically like soup, not stir fry (Decent flavor but mushy). The spring rolls weren't crunchy. Tracy, the hostess, was very nice. Maybe the sushi is better or maybe we caught them on a bad night? They've only been open for about a week so they can still turn things around I guess.

First time trying tonight, I ordered peanut curry with chicken, but mine had zero peanuts in it. My husband got pad Thai level hot, but his dish had little spice to it. The quality of food was good, however the flavors were lacking for us. We enjoy a nice kick and spice when it comes to Thai food.

Just ordered the Pad Ped and Gang Garee…. So good! We loved both. I loved the spring rolls , but might have liked them even more if they were crispier. Flavor was delish. So happy they are here, we will be ordering often!

House fried rice is just ok. If you want good fried rice (kow pad) then go to thai legend. But I still give this 4/5!
