We probably should have asked for extra plates so we could share more easily - next time! I appreciated that they asked for the preferred spice level for each item ordered.

I ordered the Pad Thai Chicken, which came out quickly for a Friday night. And I was also impressed with the amount of food I got. I usually do not need a to-go box. Well, let's face it, I am a fat @ss! Lol. The food was delicious, and this will be my new go-to Thai place. Also, another point that I need to point out is that they thanked me for my business. I don't need someone to tell me that, but it is nice to hear. Anywho you should check this place out if you have not.

I'm not sure what went wrong, but the food was completely bland. Perhaps they forgot to add salt or any seasoning for that matter, because I got an order of the Drunken noodles, and it was absolutely tasteless. I’m from out of state, this was my first meal in Michigan upon leaving the airport and it was disappointing. I'm hoping this was a mistake as the reviews I saw were good.

Absolute worst pad thai Ive had. I never leave reviews and this stuff had no flavor at all. I drove out of my way to try this place too. Just rename the dish spicy beef stroganoff.

The best Thai in Troy! And ranks with ant Ive ever had. The chicken satay is phenomenal - quality chicken cooked perfectly with a terrific peanut sauce! The kow pad is never dry, always the perfect balance with beautifully and perfectly cooked rice, chicken, onions and peas! You'll have to go a long way to top Bangkok Bistro!

Hospitalist is bad. She thinks coming in at 8 is late and told us to go back until she saw few other people coming in. I didn't leave tip as I didn't like food and the way she received us. And she says we are not good at all. I hate her behavior.

This place is amazing. I work nearby and find myself eating here once or twice a week and it's so good every time. I usually get spicy curry or spicy vegetable fried rice with basil and the vegetables are so fresh and delicious. They do a great job on the heat too, I order medium plus and it's just enough so I feel it but it's not overwhelming. Service is friendly and they remember my order. Can't recommend this place enough.

Speechless! We had fried rice and penang curry. Exceptional taste. Thai iced tea (amazing). I asked for spicy level "hot" for my fried rice. It was more than hot and it was very tasty. Can't believe I haven't heard much about this place. Staff was very courteous, price is lower than many places around. My waiting time was 5 minutes! Highly recommended.

First time visit! Very disappointed. I ordered fried Thai rice with shrimp there were only 5 shrimp and the rice was tasteless and mushy. NO THANK YOU I WILL STICK WITH PENN ON 14 mile I should of waited until 4 pm when they opened.

It's really good Thai food

I went to Bangkok Bistro for lunch after moving to a new building for work and I was unimpressed. I ordered the Drunken Noodles and they were extremely dry. They had a pretty good flavor to them but the noodles were sticking together to the point of clumping up. That's not supposed to happen in my experience. On top of that I ordered a side of rice and the person I spoke with confirmed my order back to me, when I got back to work I noticed there was no rice so I called them and they told me if I wanted to come get them I could. They ended up charging me for the rice after their mistake that took up my entire break. That's not very good service in my opinion. I think I'll be finding somewhere else to get Thai food from now on.

I'm pretty picky about Thai food and forgot about this place, hadn't been here in around 4 years at least. I had the chicken pad Thai, excellent food, good sized portions. Go here, you won't regret it. Very friendly staff, and excellent Thai food.

This place deserves 5 star. It’s not a fancy restaurant where they ask you every 5 minutes if everything is alright. The food is good and excellent and prices decent. Nothing like overly fat or sugary food you find elsewhere. Just good Thai cuisine 🙂

Fantastic Thai food and a go-to place for many regulars in the Troy-Birmingham areas. Great service, family owned, so you know the food will be tasty. You get hot and sour soup with your lunch entrée that tastes very very traditional. We had an additional order of the Tum-Yum soup which is great for anyone with a runny nose. Clean, with booth style dressing for privacy and mask-weary patrons, this is a must do. Open on TG!

Bad attitude and no respect for customers . When I asked them for who I was taking to she hung up on me. I called at 8:25 and tried to place an order . She asked me to pull up the menu and I requested if I could I could call back and they could take my order … she said ok . I called at 8:28 and the phone was busy. I called again and by the time she picked up it was 8:31…. Very well knowing that I just talked to her and requested but instead of being courteous she said sorry kitchen closed and can’t do anything. Really in 1min she could not accommodate me . Bad customer service!!!

I'm a regular at this place. They have excellent food all across the board. The staff is helpful and very friendly. Lunch is typically $8-$9 and dinner is usually around $12. Definitely one of my favorite Thai places

Carry out only, thanks Covid. The food was good, more noodles than anything else. My only small issue was the food was stuffed into the thin Styrofoam containers. By the time I got home, one of the containers had melted through and shredded the bottom out. The grease/sauce was all over the container below it...which also was falling apart. Also, no napkins, chopsticks or plastic flatware. I totally get having to cut a few corners right now, but cheaping out on carry out containers isn't the best idea. Just gonna say, given that the hot food melted the Styrofoam, all of those chemicals become One with it. Styrofoam is not a great idea in general, but this was really bad.

Go to Thai. This is a great Thai place. The food is consistently good. The spice levels are what you would expect them to be. I hate when I order medium and my face melts! The portions are nice size and take out... (like we are all doing) is fast. 15 minutes. Great for Friday night..." What do you want to eat for dinner? " at 8pm.

Meat tatses tainted

The flavors were amazing! They definitely take pride in their craft. The wife and I took one bite and we both looked at each other in amazement. They do not have a separate vegan menu, nor does their menu mark the vegan choices. Having said that, we've still added them to our favorite restaurants list.

Pork Pad Thai and Chicken Pineapple Fried Rice, my go to and haven’t been the same since. Really, try it... tell me you don’t like it and I would be absolutely shocked!

Ordered a takeout and was satisfied with the experience. Had the green curry with chicken and pad Thai with beef. The spicy level medium was perfect for me. Prices are a little high and that is because they do not have small portions available.

Holy smokes- literally!! While there were no other people in the restaurant (apart from my friend and I) at that moment, this restaurant definitely delivered. The Pad Thai was authentic and fresh, and the Drunken Noodles were out of this world.
Be warned that their food can be quite spicy, so pick your level (no spice, mild, medium, hot) carefully--medium was just right for us.
Overall, check them out if you're in the area; if you're not in the area, check them out anyway. Bon appetit.

I travel a lot for work and frequent Thai restaurants around the country. Bangkok Bistro is the best Thai I've ever had. Try the Chiang Rai Eggplant. You won't be disappointed.

Food is always amazing. The amount of spice is back and forth alot though. Best to get it at a lower spice and just add as you eat.

Used to be a great place. Great portion sizes and a frIendly staff as well. I don’t know if they’ve changed owners or something but the quality has dipped considerably. Yesterday the girl who took my $60 plus a $10 tip for a carry out order was very dismissive, like I was bothering her. On top of that my food was 90% noodles. Barely any chicken or veggies at all. Won’t be going back

Found the restaurant thru Grub Hub. The food is fabulous! I skipped Grub hub and went straight to the restaurant today. Service was friendly and I received my order quickly. This is a great find! I'm actually sad that I didn't try this place sooner. Convenient and easy to get to.

Food was great I had the Talay Medium with the Kow Pad Shrimp it was spicy just the way I like it,but what made the food and experience awesome was our server Ben she was the sweetest and nicest waitress her smile was contagious. Thanks Ben you rock 😊😊
