They seemed really busy for a Saturday night, but the food was DEFINITELY worth the wait. I did order medium plus spice, and I felt it was definitely more of a mild spice, or they forgot to add spice at all. Beside from this, the food was delicious and filling. They deserve a five-star review, and I will definitely visit again in the future.

Ordered a fried rice. Taste was absolutely delicious but the quantity was reduced. Felt the quantity was more earlier. The chips provided were ok but tasted more oily. Afternoon lunch time quantity has to improve otherwise all good.

curry noodle had great flavor and comes with some tofu AND your choice of protein. the crab rangoons were…. different… the shell didnt have the usual “legs” and was more like a uniquely folded oreo. out waiter was very friendly and kind.

Thai green curry was very salty.

We arrived at 8:05 pm, with closing time set for 9:00 pm. Upon entry, the waitress promptly informed us that the kitchen would close in 5 minutes, urging us to order quickly. Her demeanor throughout the evening, as well as the presentation of the food, felt somewhat brusque. The quality of the food was disappointing; the green curry was excessively salty and watery, lacking creaminess and any hint of sweetness.
A gentleman who appeared to be the owner kept a close watch on our table throughout the meal, not engaging but observing, which felt odd. Dishes were swiftly cleared from our table as we finished them, indicating a rush to clean up and close for the night. We hurriedly finished our meal to ensure we left before 9:00 pm, unable to fully enjoy the dining experience. Ultimately, we departed at 8:53 pm, deeply unsatisfied with the overall experience.

Decent portion. The staff weren’t too attentive. She only came to get our orders and give the bill. They don’t serve complimentary shrimp chips during lunch anymore. Thai tea didn’t taste that good.

All mediocre

I called to ask about their red curry as thats a common Thai dish and the lady on the phone directed me to the website. I asked her why she couldn't tell me what's in the red curry and she said they have many curries. Guess she ignored my question. So I checked their menu online and it's honestly just a blurry mess. They have many curries, but their red curry is called Gang Gai so I called back and ordered. I asked for veggie Tom Yum and she insisted I picked a meat, which I insisted it should be veggie only. I also ordered Larb (laab) chicken, and all three dishes came SWEET!
I am from Isaan, I know what a "Laab" is suppose to taste like and it definitely should not have that much sugar - if not at all. Gang Phet is suppose to be between sweet & more savoury, not just sweet.
Upon picking up food, I noticed they have hand written note right up at the front counter stating to customers that if they ordered the wrong dish, they will not replace or refund it. Makes sense why the lady in the phone was so short and dismissive when I had questions about their menu, she was already on the defense. She even avoided me when I picked up the food, a gentlemen cashed me out instead.

Maybe they should redo their menu so it's less confusing to customers or maybe they should read back orders as to confirm that's what customers want, then they won't have a problem with the misunderstanding.

If you like cold service, overly sweet Thai food, then this is your place!

The drunken noodles were perfectly seasoned, NOT mushy, and the veggies were tender yet crisp. The coconut soup was HEAVENLY! The broth was rich and savory. It does have cilantro in it so if you’re allergic, be careful. The Thai iced tea was refreshing and sweet, and the spring rolls were delicious with the sauce 😊 They also have vegetarian and gluten free menus too! The service was pleasantly polite and prompt. 5/5 would DEFINITELY come here again and again!

Crab Rangoon was still frozen in the middle and was filled with mayonnaise. It was disgusting. Everything was bland and low quality. Very obviously trying to cut costs. I'll never be back.

This is the worst thai restaurant I have been in my life, even the plain white rice was bad. Servers were extremely incompetent and served very bland food, their explanation was it was American spicy scale which is ironic for a restaurant called siam spicy. My love for Thai food is setback for a while now.

We have tried many Thai places and this is the best!! It is absolutely worth it, I love they have waterchestnuts on a couple plates. Great variety, prices and quality.

I usually get the drunken fried rice with tofu (made vegan). It's absolutely incredible about 75 percent of the time. The other 25 percent it's only perfectly adequate. I'm not sure if they have more than one chef that each changes how they make it, but it can be a bit inconsistent. But like I said, even when it's "worse" it's still good! I've tried the drunken fried rice at a couple other non-Siam Spicy restaurants and they usually just use frozen mixed veggies (carrots and peas), but this place uses much better ingredients. Note/fyi: if you order an entree as vegan at lunch time they'll make the dinner size portion, which is a higher price, so you should be prepared for that difference 🙂

We had Satay, Tom Yum, fried rice, Chu Chee and Green Curry. All are very delicious. I liked Satay the most, but my son-in-law adored the Chu Chee fish. The restaurant is also beautifully decorated, with paintings coming directly from Thailand. The staff were busy with constant orders going in and out--which speaks to how well they sell. Luckily we came in before the dinner rush and were able to eat until bursting. Definitely going to go eat again when we can!

I grew up in Novi eating at this Siam Spicy. In my adult years I was ordering takeout from here probably once a week. I live in Livonia now and have come back just for Novi’s Siam Spicy a few times this year. Something changed here. The food lacks flavor, the chicken is never fresh anymore, and the spice levels are inconsistent. I ordered takeout last night and the fried rice is bland, burnt, and tastes terrible. I don’t even know how to salvage it at home. Thought the last time was a fluke but I’ve been burnt three times in a row here now. Very disappointed as this was my go-to Thai spot for years and years. Have to look for a new one.

The portions were small. And the chicken tasted old. I was there 10/1/2022 around 2ish with my mom and daughter Place was not busy the owner lady asked my 10 year old daughter if she liked the food she said so good but really she did not like the food. Great Thai food with prompt and friendly service. My Gang Gai Curry dish had a ton of chicken in it. Very delicious.

It's not exactly the local taste of Thailand, but it's pretty ethnic. Stir-fried vermicelli and beef salad were satisfying in both taste and quantity. Soup is also good. They have Japanese and American beers but no Thai. Waitresses are very friendly. Highly recommended for those who want to eat Thai food in Novi area.

Used to be an old favorite but I was not happy on my last visit a few weeks back . My chicken Pad Thai was very watery, didn’t have much flavor and was not the highlight in my day I as hoping it would be. I called it in when they weren’t that busy and I still had to wait. The 2 gentlemen in the kitchen didn’t seem very happy to be cooking but I might have just caught them on an off day . Regardless , I can’t say I will be going back soon even though they gave me a comped meal next time I’m out that way . It was very off and not what I used to know.

Amazing rice

This is one of the best Thia food restaurants around the Detroit area. The food is well prepared, delicious and consistent. The service is always prompt and a tentative without being intrusive. It has been this way, in my experience, for the last 10 years even through the pandemic. I moved 8 mi away but I still make the trip to eat at this restaurant. Over the years I have had most of the different dishes on the menu and haven't been ever disappointed. This time I got the old standby, pad Thai and it was as always, delicious. Parking here is not a problem at all, there are vegetarian options and it is wheelchair accessible.

I've been going to this restaurant for 21 years. It was almost a gold standard of Thai food. I ate there for the first time in about a year. It was not satisfactory. I got the"Jungle prince (curry). Hardly any curry sauce, skimpy protein portions, and the soda machine wasn't working. Water, dry curry, and small portions...this place now officially sucks! Won't ever be back. There are far better Thai restaurants in the area....a matter of fact, all of them are better, I suggest any Thai restaurant in Oakland county other than this one!

I ordered pad prik, but received a depressing bowl of very little chicken, an overwhelming amount of water chestnuts, and way too strong onions. The peppers had a terrible texture, obviously coming from frozen. That poor mixture was attempted to be drowned out in a watery soy sauce that was bitter and unpleasant. They also gave me white rice, which tasted soapy. May have just been an off day, but my food was disappointing. Didn’t finish it.

I ordered carry out Curry Pad Thai with chicken. What I got was a couple of pieces of chicken and mostly tofu. Were they masquerading it as chicken? Couldn’t go all the way back and luckily I don’t mind tofu but that should not have happened.

Whoever answered the phone was rude when telling me they were closed. Even though according to Google, they were not. Why answer the phone in the first place if you're closed?

The staff were great. Very nice and present. The food was not so good. The crab rangoons had too much mayonaise and just tasted off. I ordered my pad thai medium+ and it had no heat and was overall pretty flavorless.

Siam spicy is a great chill restaurant. The waitresses are nice and attentive. The food came out fast , though even it was a Saturday and is great. I love the curry, it had a great flavor and heat. The bathrooms are nice and clean too. I will definitely go back.
