I ordered General Tso's and Pad Thai. The General Tso's chicken was VERY good and you can tell it was REAL chicken breast. The fried rice was bland and didn't taste like fried rice. I didn't care for the pad Thai as the noodles were too soggy. Lol the broccoli I added to the pad Thai dish tasted good in the sauce though. Will definitely give this place another try.

Well, after you reopened, it hasn't been the same. I have visited a few times, Thinking it would get better each time, but the quality of food has gone down and the price has gone up. Your crab Rangoons are absolutely horrible. Fried rice is ok.

Update: On my last ride by I stop by to talk, they were painting after the kitchen fire. Estimated reopening, the 2nd week in August 2024.
I've lived in Asia, and American Asian food is a bit different. Yum Yum does a great job considering Muskegon isn't the best place for sourcing hard to find Asian ingredients, and that makes the authentic flavors difficult to reproduce. The egg rolls are beef, and are stuffed full of it. Hands down the best egg rolls in town. The stir fry veg is very good, and a heavy load of broccoli, zucchini, carrot, onion, mushrooms, and bamboo shoots. The garlic sauce isn't overpowering, and salt isn't the main seasoning. The sushi is quite good. The smoked Eel roll being my favorite, with the Dragon roll hot on its tail.

I miss you yum-yum sushi, I miss the extensive affordable variety of food you offered with the small kitchen. I miss the quality sushi. I wish the fire never happened. I long for your reopening, I will be there the moment you flip the sign. I recommend you to everyone I meet looking for sushi, all I ask is for an update. When might you be open again?

Take out only, food was fast and fresh. Now I know where to get my sushi/pad thai fix right here in Muskegon. I got two sushi rolls and an order of pad thai all for under $30. Yum yum for sure

I absolutely love this place! They have some of the best, most authentic fried rice I've ever had. Their sushi is to die for! My favorite is the Yum Yum Roll. I hope they recover from the recent fire soon so I can go again! <3

Great food. I was super happy with my sushi. It had been a long time since id had sushi. Got a craving and phoned in the order. 20 minutes and they did not disappoint.

This is strictly a take out place. Food was good but the place was unkempt.

Small business with decent food and prices. There’s not a lot of other options close by for good sushi or Chinese. We hit this at least weekly for a quick meal.

This place is the greatest. We went in there once and asked if they could make us something not on the menu. Without a moments thought, they said yes, gave it a price and whipped it up. Since then, we've been in once or twice a week to get the same thing. And they always know exactly what we want when we walk in.

The staff is always friendly, and seem genuinely happy to see me when I come in.

On a more personal note, someone almost always helps me out with my food, since I'm disabled. I'm very appreciative of this simple act of kindness.

As a follow up, I haven't had curry in about 30 years. I asked how theirs was, and he offered to make me a sample. He whipped up a red curry with shrimp that was perfectly spiced and delicious. I will definitely be ordering that again. I can't recommend it enough.

Orange chicken was good. The chicken was a little dry but tasty. I might return but I will order ahead.

Our Christmas plans fell through last minute leaving us scrambling for meal plans. Excellent food, pretty fast considering that it was really busy today! And they were so efficient and kind. They even gave us a Christmas gift. I love that I could order my favorite sushi and also get Chinese for other family members.

I placed an order on line after I submitted the order I noticed something wrong with it. I immediately called the restaurant to see if it could be corrected and he responded so rudely and yelled at me. So I asked him to cancel my order . He said he did, let's just say it took 4 more phone calls and getting yelled at 2 more times for them to finally cancel and to find out he thought I was someone else and that's why he yelled at me I was told.

Walked in and was immediately greeted by like 50 flys just zooming around. The amount of dirt and grim on the walls and floor was shocking.

And the spicy shrimp roll tasted like I stuck a clump of kitty litter in my mouth. Both were thrown away.

I’ve gotten better sushi at mejier definitely a pass from me and I won’t recommend to anyone either.

I ordered 3 items and they all would get different ratings. Yum Yum roll gets 5 stars. Spicy crab and the sweet mayo and the crispy crumbs and the tender rice. Great balance of taste and texture. Rainbow roll was good. Nothing out of the ordinary. It's a simple, boring roll, but steady - 4 stars. The tuna sashimi was at best 3 stars. Portion was huge, but the texture was like it got frozen and defrosted. Just a little mushy. Also, when you eat this last, there's the law of diminishing returns too.
Definitely worth visiting again. No indoor dining though so all take out which was a bit of a bummer too.

First time ever was awesome quite the wait though but totally worth it! Order in advanced

Finally tried and not disappointed at all! Great tasting food and very affordable for the portion. Rangoon was the best I have had in a long time. Takeout is never as good as it would be eating in, but I am still beyond impressed.

This place is my favorite. Amazing food, very affordable. I always order their special rolls. I think I tried all of them by now and not a single one disappointed me. It's a tiny place so no way to eat inside but you can always see the kitchen and how they prepare the food. Cooks always wear gloves and everything is very clean and fresh.

There are always people ordering which means great turnover…which means always great sushi! Mostly takeout as there are only a couple of tables…but worth it.

They also have some Chinese food which is also good but in my opinion their Japanese food is better! The udon soup is delicious. BUT…they also make a pad Thai which is pretty good as well. I guess I’m saying you can’t go wrong with whatever you order here!

The order came before scheduled ETA. STILL hot, the driver followed my suggestion to the letter. And overall the food was exactly what I was looking for. Rangoon, light and flaky, the crab sauce inside amazing; the veggies cooked but not over done... I can go on and on about how good it was. But I'm gonna leave the experience up to those interested in GREAT Chinese food and absolutely the only spot for fresh sushi. GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!

Food was ready fast. The employees were very cordial. However, the spicy tuna roll was sub par. The Beef Pad Thai was also a bit of a let down. Asked for spicy, it was not. Looked very mashed together and hurried. Visually, it was unappealing, lacked flavor and the quality of the Beef was questionable.

I have tried to support this establishment on several occasions and EVERY time I am “greeted” with a attitude by the young lady at the front counter. As a business owner myself I expect the staff to be nice at the least. I’m not sure if it is my race or what but I have never had a pleasant experience and will never spend my money here again.

They have the best sushi in town...granted, it's the only sushi place in town. Still, very good and always consistent. They get very busy in the evenings, so give yourself extra time.

They'll need to expand soon or at least improve the take-out method. If nothing else just issue a simple order number for each order. It has to flow if Take-Out is your only option. Regardless, they are often very busy for the right reasons. I've been there several times and have always been impressed.

Love this place! The food is the best Chinese and Thai in Muskegon in my opinion. They need a better system for take out. It get crowded and confusing for customers coming in. Other than that, always impressed.

I would take a picture but we ate it all! Ordered a spicy tuna roll, yellowtail roll, Hot Girl roll, and the shrimp lo mein. It was all delish …and less than $30! The lo mein portion was not huge, like enough for 1 hungry person, or two people who are also eating sushi :) I didn’t realize they have more than just sushi and look forward to trying more! My husband and I have tried all the chinese food places around Muskegon and this is hands-down the best!

Spicy tuna and salmon rolls use the chopped fish that has the consistency of cat food. Not my favorite style. Not a big selection, and not very confidence inspiring for raw fish. Other rolls are OK. Takeout only.
