Previously barbecue! Now currently ONLY serving Thai!
Update:
The second visit was even better. This time I tried the Potstickers, Pad Thai, and salmon. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is a hidden gem for Thai! My mouth is watering, just thinking about the scrumptious meal I had. I tried the:
Por Pia Thad (spring rolls)
Khao Phad w/ Chicken
Gaeng Massamen w/ Chicken (almost too salty)
Everything was ah-mazing!!! The food was fresh and flavorful. Can't wait to return again for more food. No photos this time. We ate everything too quickly. Stay tuned!
WOW. So we are just now trying this place after it became only Thai... it's amazing! The food is incredible-- the fresh spring rolls were chock full of crispy veggies, plus a nice bit of chicken (optional). The drunken noodles are very complex with a nice, subtle heat. And the red curry? I have always had mixed feelings about curries... but not this one. I absolutely love it, great heat, and the shrimp option was perfect, but I am sure going straight veggie would be fantastic as well. We can't wait to try it again!
I've been wanting to try them for a while and I'm pretty disappointed.
I ordered massaman. I was given about a half cup of rice with my order. Not nearly enough to soak up the curry. It had a weird burnt oil after taste. I ended up throwing it away because it was unpleasant. Big bummer considering it was $18.
The spring rolls were pretty solid tho and the staff seemed nice.
Decided to walk in and order for the first time as I have always seen this place driving down Mack and wanted to give it a chance. I was aware it was a type of fusion restaurant but I figured it leaned more towards the BBQ side due to the name, I was wrong!
Ended up having a pleasant conversation with the owner while my food was cooking and learned a lot more about the food that they make!
This is not the type of place to sacrifice authenticity for extra flavor so please keep in mind that your version of the dish you eat might be a lot more “Americanized” than what you get here (still delicious nonetheless).
I ended up going basic for my first time, with a slight twist. I got the Pad Thai with the noodle they use for Woo-Sen (vermicelli noodles).
Was very flavorful and FRESH, you can really taste each vegetable in the dish and the peanuts were excellent as well within the Pad Thai.
Fantastic Thai food - probably my new favorite Thai place - I don't know how we have missed out on this for so long.
So good and giant portions. Everyone is so nice there too
The best pad Thai I’ve ever had. Absolutely amazing

Good 👍🏾

This place has high quality food and high quality people, easily the best Thai restaurant/eatery in the south east MI area. Quality and authenticity un matched
Good authentic Thai food. Curry dishes are basically soup with the amount of rice provided.
I just had the kow pade fried Thai rice with chicken and it was delicious.
No dine in available…didn’t have that listed so we unloaded the kids and had to reload and find somewhere else to go.

Very cozy!
Female owner was very kind!
Food very fresh!
This is hands down the best Thai meal I have had in Michigan. It’s not Americanized Thai, so plan to try something new and actually experience Thai cooking. Enjoy!

Best Thai food in Michigan, best restaurant in the Pointes. Tell me I’m wrong
Great service good food nice clean establishment.
The best and most flavorful Thai food in the Grosse pointe area. So flavorful it doesn’t even require overpowering spicy to make it interesting.
The potstickers were amazing - just soaking in a wonderful sauce and slurping up the flavor from it.
The Pad Thai was perhaps the best I’ve ever had. At lesser eateries the Pad Thai can be bland at lower spice levels, but not here!!
BBQ is what was offered when this place opened and was awesome for years but now they only offer Tai food.. really disappointed former customer
Amazing Thai food. The best most flavorful Thai food I have had outside of South East Asia. The owner is super helpful it is clear that she has a passion for what she is doing and the food she is making. Can’t recommend enough!
Very authentic Thai. Everything is perfectly consistent and delicious every time. Best Thai food on the east side, arguably Detroit.
The price online menu was 13.95 for 1/2 slub of ribs when I ordered it was almost double the price I asked why the guy respond he’s to busy! Very rude would never order this place again ..
Always my favorite carry out. Something for everyone—from bbq to Thai. Well-made and family-owned. Never disappoints
Lovely owners and spectacular food. The combination may seem a little strange but the BBQ and the Thai dishes are both amazing. I love the ribs and pulled pork, don't sleep on their noodles though!
Best Thai food all around. So fresh and full of flavor!
The BEST Thai food in the surrounding tri County area!!!
Don't hesitate to order. Everything is so fresh and flavorful. We love this place.
Hit and miss but this time was a hit. Sometimes the portions are small. Sometimes the meat isn't super tender. This was a win...and when it's a win it's the best Thai in GP
Worst ribs ever! They were so dry the dog would not even eat them! I thought $35 for a half slab and dozen wings was way too much for the poor quality of food. The wings were a "c".
Went to order at 3. As posted. Then was told come back at 4. Then tried to order over the phone. Young lady gave me hard time about making separate orders. Then tried to finish order then was told they have no drinks. What!
How can I wash the meat down. Covid policy is not cool.
Ribs and cornbread are where it's at. Fresh rolls are also lovely, and chicken pad Thai too.
Worse than Dog / Cat food. Stay away from this place!
Half Thai, half BBQ. That's right, an odd combination, but worth trying. Our first order last week included both.
My Cuban sandwich was messy but very tasty, with real roasted pork pieces. The baked beans are HOT! If you can't handle spicy, avoid them.
The Thai fried rice surprised me with its lightness, nicely done, less oily than typical Chinese versions. I'd order it again. Generous portion too, made 2+ meals from it. Their cashew chicken was a letdown; the chicken was overcooked, kinda tough and chewy.
This is absolutely a hidden gem and worth the drive from anywhere in the metro area. Both the bbq and Thai menu are excellent. We highly recommend.
Placed an order on Sunday, October 4th, 3 entrees and 2 Thai apps. Despite the fact that I read 2 of their menus on line, the prices were anywhere from $1 to $4 more when I placed the order and the food cost $82.38! The food was okay, not great, but way over priced. We'll never order from there again.
Got a "half slab" of the ribs and steak fries (only because the mac and cheese was sold out). Was shocked at the large amount of ribs. Detroit sauce was delicious, steak fries were perfect, and everyone wa super polite and masked. they even sanitized my credit card before returning it to me. So respectful of the health and safety of their customers (and staff). I will be back soon!
Price on their menu from the website is not what they actually charge. When asked they said it was an old menu and then would not talk to me anymore. Way too expensove for mediocre BBQ, especially cause it came out cold/luke warm.
Thank you so much for your amazing food and outstanding service! When I phoned in my order earlier today, he explained all the precautions they are taking in order for their customers to be safe. When I pulled up to the curb this evening, she came out with to greet me. I was amazed at the extensive sensitization efforts they are making.
Cashew Chicken and pot stickers are our favorite and tonight it was better than ever. We're so happy you are still here to serve our community.
best comfort food in grosse pointe/saint Clair shores, no contest. Family-run and everything is made to order. Every time I get one of the Thai dishes it becomes my new favorite. And the bbq is incredible, obviously.
Can’t get a better meal—who would have thought Thai food and bbq went so well together?
Great food and great service!!! Julia is awesome👍
Just delicious food! Please check hours before venturing out, very small restaurant with terrific service!!
Great food! Dumplings are killer! Both the authentic thai (phad kee mao) and the sandwiches (BLT) were very good. I'm a spice sissy and it was perfect. Would have been 5*, but they were sold out of the thing I wanted. O well, there will be other trips and maybe a 5* in the future.
Ate there for dinner on 10/23/2019 with old roommate; had garlic beef and smoked wings. "Bone" BBQ sauce STILL has me smacking my lips! Small, quaint establishment; we were the only ones there. Next time I'm in town, will try my best to return!
The food is great, the prices are okay. The hours are absolutely horrendous though. To make matters worse, they often aren't even open during their posted hours, which are bad enough as it is. A couple of the times I've been in there, they were so busy with a catering order that it took them over an hour to prepare my carry out order.
It's a shame, this place could be so much better than it is.
Can't remember
Great little place for some great food.
The food is really delicious, but single-use plastic containers are so 2018. Lead, good restaurants, lead.
Great place good food
Just delicious! I had the La Cubana Sandwich and it was spot on! The peanut butter mousse cake was soooo good! A+++++
Traditional BBQ (pulled pork, brisket, etc.) and thai food.
Call ahead. They aren't open the hours they say they're open.
Sweet meat
The ribs were exceptionally delicious, as was the pulled pork. Try all the sauces!
I’ve been coming to this place for years and as a restaurant, the food is top notch. I give it 3 stars because of the business side of things. Make sure you call before going up. This place just opens and closes whenever they want and the hours listed on their door and online mean nothing. I’ve been let down more times then I can count. Beef brisket is awesome though and why I keep coming back!
Nice service with a very interesting menu of thai and American food. The atmosphere is also great. It is a tiny restaurant though.
Got carry out, the pulled pork is 🔥. And the gold sauce is 💯
Wow I must admit that the food here is the best and the service is awesome.
The location was closed although the hours said they should be open. They had no sign up either and I didn't see anything on their FB page. Foiled my plans for the day!
Great bbq
I went in to order two sides today. I was told I couldn't pay with my debit card as they have a minimum charge of 10.00 to use the card. I asked if I could use the card if I ordered a third side bringing the total to 9.38. The woman still said no. I told her Federal Law, Visa, and MasterCard all prohibit retailers from setting minimum purchase accounts (information readily available for review on credit cards dot com, and several other places on the Internet). She told me the guy working in the back had a law degree and she could get him to come to the counter to prove it. I didn't have time to argue with her.
I'm happy to give my money to retailers who don't attempt to extort more money from a regular customer because they can't handle the low fees the credit card companies charge for their use. I'm not usually a defender of huge companies line Visa, but those charges help keep the system running without interruption, and pay for the credit card machines and infrastructure used.
The food I've tried is good, but not good enough that I'm ok with being told I have to spend double than I planned to for lunch just so I can use my debit card. A retailer should care more about customer relationships than nickels and times. Plus half the time I go there they're closed due to catering. Oh well.
The food was very tasty! We had baby back ribs, chicken wings, baked beans, and potato salad and everything tasted great. Everything was cooked just right. The restaurant itself was a nice and cozy little spot. It's a carryout or dine in restaurant. We dined in and our waitress was very nice as well. I'm so glad we found this restaurant the Noble Pig. It's like a hidden jewel. 😋❤
Hands down. Really good! Really friendly!
Awesome food very small and intimate place American and Asian split menu Awsome
The food was great, this is a small, quaint restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere. I ate the Pad Pak and it was delicious. The service was great as well. Thanks Noble pig for an awesome experience.
Michigan salad - all white lettuce, smoked turkey - meh, threw in some walnut halves from a bag, poached apple?? NO! It was chopped up apple pieces.
Pulled pork - husband left half of it on plate because it was so chewy.
Fish and chips - fish was chewy.
Mac & cheese . . . Tasteless
* It smelled good outside though
More than pleased everytime I order here. I love everything I've tried and the portion sizes are great. The service is always fast and polite.
Awsome BBQ and sauces. Also do meat by the pound
Very good food. Very friendly people. Very quaint. Take out or dine in, delicious. Great homemade ice cream, too!
Love the food and the ambiance. Good service and very friendly.
I probably should have tried what they are known for in the title, pulled pork. I went Thi.... at a pig place, no go. The garlic beef was terribly tough.....not tasty at all.
The coconut ice cream was BOSS.....if any cancellation. If I do date go again. Pulled pork!!!!
If you're purchasing BBQ, I'm expecting for it to come off the grill.
Im not into pork, but it's a nice place
Unique Eatery. The combination of venues was awesome. The ribs are fantastic and the Thai food was extra good too.
Great Pulled Pork!
Tasty pulled pork
Who would've guessed that a place that does a mix of BBQ and Asian would do both so perfectly.
The pulled pork sandwich was phenomenal. The pork was tender and well flavored. The sweet and spicy sauce added some solid heat. Also, the baked beans had delicious flavor. This is one of the best bbq joints I've ever been to.
Pricey, dried meat. The location leaves much to be desired, but it does appear most pick up to go. The brisket was dry as leather, but their cole slaw was yummy.
The best beef brisket sandwich ever; better than Bad Brad's or Lockhart's. Service is excellent too!
We love everything about Noble Pig. The food is interesting and delicious. We are always greeted with friendliness and great conversation. We recommend Noble Pig to all our friends.
I love this food. Brandon, the owner and my cousin, has been an outstanding chef for years, and previously owned/cooked at Bambu in Grosse Pointe before relocating. Don't miss out on this gem!!!
Their ribs are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! Didn't care for the sauces too much though, they were thin and I didn't like the taste. I ate the ribs without any sauce, and I still think they're the best I've had from a restaurant. The cornbread is really good, but I wasn't impressed with the other sides. They are a little pricey compared to similar places, but it's okay. I'd save up to eat those ribs if I had to
The best bbq beef brisket I've found in Detroit, and right up there with the best I've had anywhere. There are a couple other places with good bbq, but Noble Pig has them beat hands-down. Their sauces are great, so are their sides (cornbread is just as good as any you can find in Charleston), and they make home-made ice cream. Service is great also.
First time was on Saturday and loved the Fried PIckles, the Sample Platter of ALL the meats and sauces!!! And the best coffee around....I am Very Picky on Food and Coffee...it better be better than what I can cook....and I am a great cook....or it is a waste of time ....this place is a Great Place and I am going back for more coffee (i usually grind my own coffee beans and brew it...this has a full body coffee that does not have a lot of acid), double order of fried pickles and the big platter of meats!!!
Thanks You for great friendly service and price!
Peter-John Parisis
AMAZING food, fantastic service and a total success for your next large party at home! Simply put, the legendary Slows (Detroit) has some serious competition... oh and one minor detail, you don't have to wait 2 hours for your order! Outstanding ribs, pulled pork, cole slaw and corn bread!
