Casual, brightly hued restaurant for a variety of classic Thai eats, including vegetarian options.
What a delight!
We popped in here quick for a lunch while on a work trip, and we’ll absolutely keep returning.
The owner met us at our table with cabbage soup, it was delicious, chatted with us about the menu, advised on spice levels, and we both landed on two dishes we wouldn’t normally order.
Spoiler alert: BOTH FANTASTIC.
We started with the crispy shrimp in rice paper and really enjoyed them.
I went with the Peanut Noodles, which was a comfortably dense thick noodle dish with fresh cut veggies, shrimp (you pick the protein), and a Thai peanut sauce. I got though maybe half and was stuffed. Took the rest home to devour later.
My friend ordered the Curry Noodles, and it was like a next level pad Thai. Very, very tasty.
This place is the definition of eating fresh and local, and it was a joy to share a meal and a conversation here.
I recently visited Lue Thai Cafe and let me tell you, it was like a hole-in-one dining experience! As a vegetarian, I appreciated the wide variety of vegetarian options on the menu. The fresh rolls were so tasty, they were like hitting a clean drive right down the fairway. And the drunken noodles were a hole-in-one - the perfect combination of sweet, spicy, and savory.
What really impressed me was how accommodating the restaurant was to people with allergies - it was like hitting a perfect chip shot out of a sand trap. The service was top-notch, as attentive as a golf caddy. And the owner is a true pro, making sure every dish is as satisfying as a winning putt.
And let's not forget about the Thai iced tea - it was so refreshing and sweet, it was like hitting a perfect shot onto the green on a hot summer day. But what really took me by surprise was the cheesy noodles - it was like discovering a new club in my golf bag!
Overall, Lue Thai Cafe is a must-visit for anyone looking for a fun and delicious dining experience. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, like a day on the links. So, whether you're a vegetarian, a spice lover, or just someone who appreciates good food and a good time, make sure to check out Lue Thai Cafe. It's definitely a hole-in-one!
Service is great. You can tell they are short of people but the lady in floor tried her best to serve us.
Food served very fast which was common in Thai restaurant.
Kids food were great! The fired rice was amazing and the satay chicken was tendered.
Curry food was above average. But the CU(flat noodles) was 😭 my was too sweet and my sisters’ was too slaty. The cooking way was not right either. They were too wet…
Overall, recommend for Thai food but not recommend for the flat noodles(all)
We checked in at a hotel across the street and the place had reasonable reviews so we decided to check it out. The restaurant is very simple and the food was okay for the price. I had the Panang Curry with chicken and they served crab chips as we started ordering. The server was friendly but our dinners came to the table with 10 min difference so we didn't eat at the same time even though there were few guests. If you like spicy be careful with the hot option, I like it hot but the medium plus I got was almost too much... I will probably not become a regular here but it was okay for a one time dinner.
My family of five, which includes three kids, sat down for dinner. The server brings us water, and for the kids she has water in Styrofoam cups. She immediately says, don’t let them play with it because they’re going to make a mess, I don’t want to clean up their mess. Obviously we immediately left and told her this is not how you treat customer especially new ones who are sitting down for dinner in your restaurant for the first time.
No way we would come back with that kind of service and attitude
Cozy place with excellent food!! The pad Thai was delicious 🤤 I love spicy food and they offer five levels of heat. Since it was my first time I went with the third level which was right in the middle. There was enough to let me know there was heat in it, but next time I will definitely go for the fifth level SUPER SPICY 🌶 CANT WAIT!!
The wait staff was extremely friendly and very helpful. I cannot wait to go back! They are very reasonable and pricing and have a lot of options. If you’re in the neighborhood and looking for a quick lunch or dinner, this is definitely a place to try.
Lue Thai is awesome, incredibly sad to see them go.
Local favorite Thai restaurant. Sadly... they have signs posted announcing they will be closing on 17-January-2025.
Amazing food. Been here 3 times and hoping to come back many times more!
This place adds whatever amount they choose as tip to your bill, rather than you voluntarily giving how much tip you want based on their service. If you miss to see this on your bill, you might end up tipping double! This is border line illegal, and a bit crooked. I am not going back.
Nice place. Parking lot in the back and service was good but the food was kinda meh. I got the drunken noodles with chicken and it was very salty.
Very yummy food. The restaurant is very small, which gives it a very comfy atmosphere.

I get take out from here all the time and it is always so delicious! This place is my go to for a great meal. The service is always friendly and fast!
Not sure about the food, hit or miss, depends on who’s cooking.
Great Thai food, friendly, will return.
Amazing pineapple sesame chicken 10/10 🐤🐤
It was a little pricey for Thai, but they have a large menu and good food. The only complaint I have is that they do down down the spices for American tastes.
Less Quantity , very pricey ! Taste was okay !! And on top of that 18%gratuity!
felt like we gave money for service than for the food !!! Though we ordered three dishes all the quantities are very less ! Ridiculous! I would recommend “ La Thai “ ! That was delicious and priceworthy
I ordered pad see ew, and it was very good!
Horrible service, horrible taste
Unfortunately lots of people told me to try this restaurant as they have great Thai food and this was my first time here.Iordered a peanut butter bowl and it was horrible.
I don't get it, there was no taste no creativity no presentation they just put some sticky rice with some vegetables on top and dumped half a bottle of peanut butter which was disgusting
(By the way I love peanut butter) the only thing I ate was the chicken. maybe the chef wasn't in the mood or he/she is just not a real chef. I'm surprised he/she had the guts to serve a plate like this.
Plus we were asking the waitress about kids meals and other meals and she was super mean and at the end she was like "to be honest I never tried it so I can't help you!!"
Like seriously look at this pic ( u can't see the rice it's in the bottom) I was confused am I eating White sticky rice, salad with no dressing or peanut butter.and together believe me this isn't the Thai meal u are waiting for!!!
Just ordered take out today, and was very impressed! I personally believe there isn’t such a thing as “too much sauce”, because the sauce is delicious!
I ordered Pad Thai, medium spice, and my husband ordered Orange Chicken. The Pad Thai was the best I’ve ever had, usually I have an issue with Pad Thai dishes being dry, but not today! It was delicious! 10/10 this will be our new regular Thai take out. :)
Lue Thai is also HALAL. 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Very good food and service
First time eating there yesterday, the service was fabulous as was the food!😋 Pad ped with shrimp was delicious and the Tom Yum soup was very good! I would definitely go again!
The food was excellent. The pad pak, drunken noodle, and shrimp chips were delicious. The staff was kind and attentive. It is a great establishment.
Delicious food and wonderful staff.
My favorite thai food peanuty curry is what Is usually get.
Food's ok. Not the best thai food but it'll do if you're hungry.
Ordered the veggie rolls and shrimp pad Thai. Everything was good but for the pad Thai, the noodles were drenched in sauce and there wasn’t enough shrimp.
Perfect. Love this place. Been going here for 7 years and it's always a treat. Perfect for eating alone, dates, or a small group. Way better when you sit down. I just can't get enough of Lue Thai Cafe!
I ordered udon noodles and instead of udon noodles they gave me egg noodles which BTW didn't even tast goood. I callled them and the offered .e no help.
great food, fast service.
Best crab rangoons in the area, by far. I've had over a dozen places and this is the greatest.
I'll be back for sure
Chicken laab was delicious, but a little less sauce next time 🤣 spilled a good amount in my seat when picking it up.
Was Herr a few days ago, something is different with the food. Good but different, maybe a new cook.
Go for the food. Very good. Super clean - quick service. I'll be back
My Sweetie loves their Sweet and Sour chicken so we went for dinner. I ordered the Drunken Noodles mild spice and I must say it is so good I stopped eating to write this review. I think everyone deserves to try it, 😆.
Love the vegetarian curry there, always tastes! Not too sweet and the perfect balance of ingredients. Alsays ready on time and always a good price. You can't go wrong here!
I stopped in for a late lunch. The hostess was kind and welcoming, and I was sat with a menu instantly. I ordered the Pad Ped with chicken. My waitress brought me a bowl of hot and sour soup with a large bowl of prawn crackers, which was an unexpected treat! The pad ped was delicious and came with white rice. All for 11 dollars! Wish I had pictures but I was too hungry:)
I ordered thru Uber eats the food had no flavor bland no seasoning it is honestly the worst Thai I ever ate I asked for utensils none given no flavor I ordered pad Thai no hot spices no gravy I asked for a side of Peanut sauce paid extra and they give me the tiny container waste of money and was 40$ with a side of tofu added which was hard and hardly any chicken I will never go there again so disappointed also orders crab cheese Rangoon tastes like just cream cheese a few strands of crab ! I can’t believe they use the word Thai in the name of there business ! Don’t go waste of money
There was no spice on a dish ordered extra hot.
Owner was also wait staff andvwasvreally cool. Nice to be able to sit sndbdine in.
Great service and great food. Definitely a must try.

Nice restaurant, great service. My friend and I ordered Pad Thai, it was very tasty.
What a delight!

Great thai food, experience was great
Incredible high quality food. Nong Tong wings are the best wings I've ever tasted. Incredibly kind and friendly staff to boot! (:
Best Crab Rangoon I've ever had! Husband loves the Peanut Curry! Also the staff is so friendly and attentive. Definetly stop by!!
Mediocre Thai food. Waited over an hour for my food and it came all wrong. 5lbs of bean sprouts, no spice, bland. Go somewhere else, the cook here can’t follow simple directions. 3 orders of food all wrong.
Ordered the orange chicken, chicken crispy rolls, and crab Rangoon, all halal. The orange chicken was a very small portion for the price, it tasted okay though nothing great. The chicken crispy rolls were very tough and hard to chew. The crab Rangoons were the best part with the sauce.
I am a Thai lover and figured I'd give this location a try. I've never thrown away thai food but this kow pad fried rice was awful. Trust my warning and go else where!
Cozy, clean little restaurant with friendly staff. I took myself here on a study-date last week and hung around for about an hour and a half (was getting the vibe from the waitstaff that it was time for me to go). I'm vegan~ had to say no to the shrimp chips they brought over when I sat down. I ordered a Thai iced tea with coconut milk, vegetable spring rolls, larb salad with tofu (ask for a knife!), and the Tom Kha soup with fried tofu. All delicious and would order again!! Next time I'll try the curry :)
They must have changed chefs because my last two orders were very oily, oil floating on the top, bell peppers just cut up in to chunks, not cooked and thrown on top of the entrees, meal lacked the flavor that I experienced with previous entrees from this resturant. I love Thai food, have ordered many meals from this resturant but I afraid I have to take my business elsewhere🤨
Amazing place!! And they accommodated my seafood allergy by eliminating fish oil and oyster sauce. Thank you so much!!! I'll definitely will be ordering from here again and recommend this place.

Love it there !
Food was very tasty🍜friendly, courteous staff
I ordered to go and the noodles were really dry and stuck together. Also, I said I needed utensils since I was staying at a hotel, but no utensils, not even a napkin.
Good food, friendly staff
One of the best Pad Thais Downriver. Orange Chicken is also phenomenal.
I ordered online and it was quick pickup. I tried the fresh rolls-the sauce was not the typical peanut sauce but it was yum. The rolls were okay--not as tasty as other places (too many carrots, not enough herbs), but were okay in a pinch.
Excellent food and great service. Red curry tasted awesome!
Nhân viên nhiệt tình, dễ thương!
Món ăn ngon, hợp khẩu vị.
Sẽ quay lại
My regular placed closed so I was looking for a new place. Glad i found them the food is good and they are open on Sundays. Guess this about to be my new go to.
Good pad thai (4*) and ok soup (3*). VERY fast lunch service (5*). Good location (4.5*)
Delicious. Consistent. Have eaten here at least 25 times and have never been disappointed. One of my favorite take out spots in Dearborn.
food is great, they accommodate dietary requests, portion sizes are good but I noticed that recently dine in is 18% charge
Nice Staff
Underrated
The chicken satay and peanut sauce was sooooo good! That's how I like the peanut sauce it isn't spicy at all. Chicken was charred and juicy, not overcooked. My boyfriend has pad Thai and that was really good too! All very flavorful and give you a decent amount for the price. Very accommodating too. I also love that they have gluten free options and also list that as well. ❤️
First time eating here while visiting for my niece’s graduation. The hosts were very friendly and the food was absolutely delicious! We started off with fresh rolls and vegetation spring rolls: both were tasty. As my brother in law frequented this restaurant, he spoke to the owner and inquired about the upcoming summer menu, which will include papaya salad! To our delight the owner prepared one for us which was both fresh & authentic; he did not disappoint, as the spicy sauce and even the small crabs nailed all the right details. As for the main entrees, the flavor profiles of both the pad ped (with beef) and the keaw warn were amazing! All in all we were very happy with the food and service and will be definitely patronizing this family business 😎👍🏽
Best shrimp fried rice, period
Perfectly mediocre Americanized Thai food. Spent about $12 per dish but good service!
Very satisfied with their service. They made sure that my order doesn't come in contact with any peanuts. The staff were very polite and respectful. And the food was delicious.
My table had to wait over 30 minutes for the food. The rice they give is tiny. Portions are very small. There are no refills on drinks. There was just one waitress there and not many people.
Great food, good flavors. Loved the service.
The Pad Gai was sooo good!
Excellant
The food was so good we ate here twice last week! A strong 5 stars for Thai!
This place is awesome.
Tried during restaurant week with work team for lunch. Service was great and fast, good was delicious, great experience.
The worst Thai food I have eaten. It is not authentic Thai cuisine, but anericanized. The Yum Nuea had no flavor and the beef was over cooked. The Pad Thai had a awful smell and taste. It was not worth the price they charged.
Very good food ,
Parking was not convenient 2 blocks away.
Very good food never disappoints
I would like to tell everyone that this restaurant please do not go there the most rudest Steph owners there is the owner actually told us not to come back there again because their food was not thoroughly cooked and because we complaint they copped an attitude no one to these people do not have any business there do not go there!!!!!!
Very good food. Great service.
I will return💯
The food is always good! Don’t mind the drive to get there! Plus the front desk girl is a cutie !!! ( neeed to get me that # ) lol
Excellent noodle dishes, hot and sour soup, and pretty much anything. Also the staff here is ALWAYS super friendly and helpful!! Love this restaurant
My friend and I came here while apartment searching in the area. We had different peanut entrees with a sample appetizer platter. The food was okay- not my favorite-tasting Thai food, but enough to make several meals per portion! The staff were all very kind, and I would return for the great service.
Excellent food!
Amazing 👏
We had really good drunken noodles. Definitely recommend
Order was wrong. Wrong soup. Ordered pad ped. Got the wrong too. Peanut sauce was peanut but no flavor.
Satay was burned dry and no flavor. Also ordered hot and came no spice. Omg never NEVER Again!
Didn’t even ask if they could make up for it. Terrible food terrible service
The best Thai food
Was good :)
Horrible pad Thai curry noodles .. absolutely dry with no curry whatsoever. Super disappointing
Ordered it with shrimp and literally counted 5 small shrimps in the entire serving.
Has been my go to for Thai food for a couple years now. Service is good and everybody is friendly. The food is great, fresh and consistent.
Worst food. I loved this place before pandemic, but now the curry noodle did not have curry at all even after orderimg extra curry. It felt like i was eating dry noodle, even the drunken noodle tasted dry and bad👎
Decent
Chicken Pad Thai/Jab Chai/Sesame Chicken, Fresh Rolls, chicken lettuce wraps & Tom Kha
We'd try different dishes next time
Staff very friendly!
I've never had a bad experience here. The food has always been consistent and I'm always up for the challenge of their hottest spice. Drunken Noodles w/chicken is the way to go.
Great people, great food.
Tom Yum soup is great
Food is ok here. Prices are around $12-14 per person. 4 main dishes, 2 apps, for $57 and some change. Have Halal meat.
Service wasn't good at all here this time, server was probably tired though so it's understandable after a busy weekend.
Larb Salad and peanut curry are our favorites.
Very good, great sauces, serving size is just right, very fresh ingredients used. The noodle dishes are great and the curry dishes are amazing. Glad this joint is open in my neighborhood, they are my go to and only disappoint if they aren't open.
food was great I really loved it. the staff was friendly and polite. and did not wait long for the food to be ready. thank you!
Great food and portions! I've always found the food consistently good here. Delicious!
Very easy ordering during the pandemic and safety precautions setup inside. Easy, free parking across the street or in structure behind the building on W Village Drive.
Ordered an egg noodles and a spring roll. The portion was adequate for sharing.
Carryout was packaged really well. Food was good and large portions were given.
Very kind staff.
The best dish hands down is the Gang Gai. Amazing red coconut curry.
The Pad Thai was too sweet for my liking and the curry noodles had a seafood flavor.
They offer shrimp chips and they’re worth it!!
Food was hot and delicious!
A+. No Pho anymore. (-1 star)
Pros: Very quick, friendly. Peanut noodles are delicious if you like peanut butter, and curry dishes are delicious even if skimpy on vegetables.
Cons: Somewhat small portions compared to other local Thai restaurants for same price. Chicken is tough, thin low quality, and shrimp are few and tiny. Pad thai was very dry, perhaps too little sauce, and there were no peanuts or green onions as the menu states... in fact most vegetables listed in the descriptions were missing crun the dishes. Both fried rice dishes were completely flavorless, even though one was medium heat, the rice was just like the bland oily yellow rice you'd find at a buffet, with a spoonful of mixed vegetables.
If you normally go to Bangkok 96 for rice or pad thai, you will be very disappointed here, but the curry is on par.
Awesome
Good food. Their beef fried rice is fantastic.
I love being able to walk to a downtown West Dearborn (Mun)Thai place! Their food is AWESOME, and they love that I walk there and park my dog outside!
Food was horrible. Kow Pad taste like it had curry in it when I didn't for the curry rice and very little Pad Pak was submerged in sauce; Nothing was hot like I asked. Order was out in 5 minutes, what meal is cooked in 5 minutes.
Food was really good, however mistake on the order.
Amazing vegetarian options! I love their soup! Service is amazing to top it all off! As a college student I really appreciate the reasonable prices for delicious food!
Great food but if you are looking for a place with good ambiance I wouldn't recommend this place.
