Thai Restaurant
The food is great. Service was OK. In fact, in the previous posts I've made, the service would greatly influence my impression of the food. But this food was sooooo good that it could have been delivered to the table by the most vial of person, and I would still give this a five-star rating, they could of rolled it out on a dolly a dropped it on my plate with a horse manure shovel the food would still of brought this place to a five-star rating. If you love Thai food, this is a must go place in the area! Fantastic!
Wow, how did we land in this gem 💎. We went for our normal Saturday workout at the LA Fitness in Allen Park on top of the hill.
It was one cold day in Michigan, so why not go just across the street sown the hill and “Get Some Spice” in my Life💪🏽💪🏽
I ordered the Hot 🥵Curry Catfish and my friend ordered the Mild Pad Noodles. We both had a Thai Ice Tea!
I super recommend this spot. It wasn’t busy at all, we sat down and enjoyed our meal 🥘 on a cold but beautiful Michigan Winter ❄️
Jerry got mad skills in the kitchen. Totally blown away Best ever eaten Thai Breaded Catfish in Red Curry and Veggies OMG 😳. I could only eat half a perfect medium spicy bowl of Love. Why doesn't any of the media outlets mention Thai Fish dishes for Lent? Available everyday dining room open filled with Happy diners, place been open three years now. The Chef got mad skills even better than Bangkok 96, yes had a dozen plus meals to say that. The family has three locations in Metro Detroit and not one media outlet has ever bothered to write a article WHY. We always start with the Big Tom Kha plenty to share and leftovers for home. She absolutely Loves the Chicken Satay, Tofu Tod and Spring Rolls her full meal. Fast friendly service, quality food and reasonable prices makes this a must visit. Hidden in the corner next to Lowe's bottom of the hill shopping center Allen Park. See the great reviews around the web Yelp Google Instagram Facebook.
After several years of coming here I have decided to quit because of very ooor customer service experience. It is a shame that a mere request to have my meal shared for both my kids is against company’s policy which I deem very unprofessional. And the emphasis by the employee doubling down on not being able to share the meal is alarming as I have always had it done for me everything I have driven two hours from Kalamazoo to come support this business. But i will never come here anymore as my money is certainly not appreciated .
Atmosphere: restraunt was very nice looking and had tvs and good music . Food:The Tom kha was watered down. I think It almost tasted like Khao Niao (mango sticky rice.) Tom Yum tasted good, although it had alot of tomatoes and had a weird aftertaste . The pad Thai was good! But too sweet. I couldn't taste the tamarind. I think this place is overpriced. Sanitation: The soap is watered down in the bathroom, but they have hand sanitizer in the front. As far as I could tell, it was very sanitary. And the employees were nice too. But they didn't check on us pr ask us how the food was, which was a little unusual to me. We spent 50 dollars on bottled ice tea, lemonade, and water. We bought 2 large soups , a gyoza plate, and 1 pad Thai.
I love Thai food and decided to give Spicy Bangkok Cafe a try. I'm glad I did! The place is clean and spacious, and the menu on the wall was easy to read. I ordered the Basil Fried Rice and the Pad Thai, both with chicken but without spice. (Considering this was my first visit, I purposely ordered non-spicy food to gauge the true flavors.) The ingredients were fresh and both dishes were very flavorful. My order was ready in 10 minutes. I look forward to going back soon and getting meals with spices. If this first experience is any indication, I will be raising my rating up to five stars.
Music is amazing Though I can't understand lyrics sometimes. Services was kind and informative about menu. The atmosphere makes you want to travel. I recommend the tea.
Placing a takeout order is relatively easy, and the food was promptly prepared. I ordered the vegetarian pad thai, with medium spice and spring rolls.
It's not my favorite thai spot for a few reasons. The spring rolls were mush on the inside. There was an overpowering flavor of some sort and zero spice.

immaculate vibes, incredible food 🧡

yummy cheesy noodle da best
I called to make an order and they didn’t have something that someone wanted. I said I would hang up and call back I called back in less than one minute and they told me the kitchen closed at 830 and I was literally speaking to the manager. They would not allow me to order knowing that I just needed to get details straight and then order. This was extremely frustrating because if I was talking to the manager why not say just so you know the kitchen closes at 830.
Food was disgusting and they gave me this for dinner and it had cockroaches and its mouth I wanted a and they gave me the soup and it had cockroaches
The resturant has a very small dining area. The food was very good and the portions are generous. The service was excellent.
I ordered the Orange Chicken...it was bland at best. Really?
Good food, had Pho
Super slow they tell you 15-20min buts it's 35min plus
Best Thai restaurant downriver. Get it off of door dash and it's always 10/10

First, start with good. TOM Yum was pretty good. Pad Thai had a lot of chicken and crushed peanut. Now with the bad. Watered down Tom Kha. Not very flavorable. Hardly noticed the coconut. Pad Thai mostly tasted like a sugar bowl. Where was that wonderful tamarind flavor Pad Thai has? The bean sprouts and green onions were not fresh but cooked in. The pot stickers obviously were from some frozen package. Huge potential in this place to do good exciting Thai.
They were friendly and great customer service!
One of my favorite Thai places in MI. It's definitely worth eating here.
Please support this business! They have lovely staff and they've never messed up my order and it's tasty too. The interior isn't great(it's just where it's located and how the building is set up. They really try to make it look as nice as possible), but it's not terrible. Very clean, and lots of options. Probably one of the better places to get pho in Downriver.
Got sesame chicken. It was in an orange sauce for some reason. And well, it's just Chinese food lol. Fried rice was OK. Won't be back.
We have ordered takeout multiple times but unfortunately this last time was disappointing. Ordered veggie pad Thai and massaman curry. There were three pieces of broccoli, a little tofu and the rest was potatoes. And the curry was half the usual amount. Taste is still good but I hope this was a one-off miss. It doesn’t make me want to go back again.
Restaurant fulfilled all of my requests and has delicious food. Will be eating here again!
Fast service for carry out, only waited about 10 minutes. Pad Thai was delicious and spicy with a good container that made it easy to transport and keep leftovers. Excellent!
Be careful people I ordered from this restaurant last night from doordash. All morning I've been really nauseous and had a very bad cramps. I'm still having issues as I write. I got no refund and I just had to suffer
Food is literally chefs kiss . First time here did some minor modifications that they allowed (substitutes) and omgg all the flavors & freshness with the original plate hit the spot . Best Thai I’ve had in a while !! Everything was soooo fudging delish !!! Def comparable with downtown Detroit ones !! My new go to near home Must try I swear ❤️
Great food! Peanut Noodles delicious
Best boba tea around nice size portions low quality ingredients
Come here once a month. Just to treat my self after work. Foods always so good the cheesy noodles are one of my favorite with hot level spice
Great food. I've been away for a while, and the portions are smaller. Service was better but not bad now.
Food and service was good. The staff were friendly. Definitely recommend this place for anyone looking to eat Thai food
I really enjoyed the food here, it was fresh and delicious and the portion I got for my fried rice was almost for two! The price is also great. Tiffany was my waiter and was so kind and attentive. Let’s just say customer service goes hand in hand with the food here, everything amazing!
What is this peanut sauce looked like soup and so pale. Oooh! No cucumber chutney. Satay delicious. Our Pad thai/drunken noodle they were good but too much liquid. Clean place, sweet workers ,took kinda long too.
I stopped in here after shopping next door and it was amazing. I got the curry noodles with chicken and asked for it spicy. It was quick, delicious, and reasonably priced. The place was also very clean.
Just drink a glass of oil, it's the same thing
I came in around 1:00 on a Tuesday. The place was not crowded. This was my first time dining here. Waitress was nice. I ordered Pad Cashew chicken extra hot for $10.50. The dish was good. My only suggestion would be to marinate the chicken for more flavor. Heat level was decent, but could have been hotter for "extra hot".
First time trying them out tonight... food was Amazing, only thing was I should have asked for heavy sauce. Other than that great filling dinner!! Medium spice was on point!
I eat here once a week and my order has never been wrong. The food has always tasted amazing and the price feels like a steal for how much I get.
Excellent!
I have eaten there twice, once dining in and carryout, both times ordering the Masaman Curry, which is delicious. For some reason they NEVER give enough sauce, I always have to order extra sauce. I dined in today and Alexa the young girl that took my order was not personable at all. She didn't speak to me when walked in and spoke to her, I had to wave at her for her to speak. Also I don't mind being patient but I had to get up and ask for a water refill and a carry out box. She dropped off my food and never came back. There was another shorter nice lady that assisted me, offered to refill my water and was more personable and welcoming. Overall the food is great 👍 but I will probably order my food to go.
Over the past year or so, we have dined in and/or ordered take out and it's all be very good. Once or twice, when I ordered a dish "mild," it was quite hot so now I select either "extra mild" or "no spice." I'm not too adventurous an eater and don't like curry so I stick to basic dishes like kow pad or chicken fried rice. The portions are large, the food is always hot and we always have leftovers. When dining in, the restaurant is clean, quiet and the staff is great!
Food is great! I had the beef pho and the portion is huge! Amazing flavor. Highly recommend, especially for the cold weather. Great service as well. Will come again
Super salty 🙅🏼♂️ deep fried potatoes in the curry? The peas and carrots looked and tasty like a frozen mix from Kroger and weren’t cooked enough. Bummer! :(
So many options it was hard to choose! We had the yellow curry with squid and the beef pho both were savory, and so flavorful! Presentation was nice, waitress was super attentive. The restaurant and its bathroom were pristine. We highly recommend! Definitely try the taro bobba, you’re going to love it!

portions could be bigger but they always accommodate my requests for sauce on the side.
We have been ordering from here for a little over a year now, and it's the best! My boyfriend and I love Thai food, and they nail our dishes every time. My favorites are the chicken satay and the pad khing.
Good pad se ewe, sweeter than other places and less smokey flavored, not better or worse just different. Good proportions.
Fried rice could use a bit more buttery sauce sear to it.
Spring rolls light and crispy, very good. Good for the price, would eat here again.
$12.50 for fried rice w/ beef at a strip mall take out is way overpriced. Food was okay, but not worth that price.
Everything I've gotten from here is so good. And well priced! Apple salad and fresh rolls are among my favorites. Love a close and quality Thai restaurant.
The food was not good at all. The sesame chicken was old and rubbery and the Pad Thai was too sweet and the noodles were over cooked. Had I known they were closed on Mondays I would have never ordered. Learned the hard way. The food was really bad.
Great food and awesome service!
Went to the restaurant because I specifically needed a dine in place. They are not offering that still, even though it is once again quite common. (-1 star) Ended up having to go out of my way to their competitor, even though I didn't really want to. (-1 star)
I pass buy 3 Thai places to come to spicy Bangkok, we order the cheesy noodle, steamed tofu, extra broccoli, extra sauce, also the curry noodle, made the same way (medium spice), always delicious, always fresh, and the ladies at the front are always kind! I love this place, try it out you won’t be disappointed!!!!
We chose this place for our new years Eve dinner for a reason. Their food is always fresh and taste amazing. I've tried several tai restaurants and this is the one. If you haven't tried yet give it a try you won't be disappointed. Also very friendly and welcoming staff. One of favorite restaurants
To be rated a 3.6 is beyond me to pay 15 for some NOODLES is ridiculous id rather drive to wyandotte to get jees they have the best thai food downriver. Ordered the drunken noodles literally 3 pieces of beef no veggies all noodles 😒 and ive never rated any restaurant 1 star so upset
Called at 8, she asked me to hold for a second and sat the phone down. She let it sit there for over
10 minutes. I heard someone say "is someone waiting on the phone and she said she's done taking orders. I hung up and called back twice and they let it ring until the voice-mail hit. Never ordering from here again.
Today I decided to try something different I ordered drunken noodles for dinner December 1 the wide noodles were so over cooked and the bell pepper’s were cut so big I’m wondering was the cook drunk I will never order that dish again.☹️
Tried to call & place a carry out order. They kept muting me, eventually hanging up on me & making their phone go straight to voicemail. They close @ 9 & i called at 8. I’m literally going to the PetCo next door & would have been right there 😂 owner should definitely reconsider their employees. If y it hate your job, don’t work there
Nothing special about this restaurant. The food is average in taste and quality. We read the reviews and only chose the restaurant because it was close to the hotel.
This was not good. Undercooked and slimy
Never open
The curry was a SOUPY mess …. No consistency or thickness… the spring rolls were horrible, have had better store bought spring rolls from Costco… the phad thai had no flavor as well..! DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE ! Wayyyy too expensive for what this food really is….and that’s horrible.
First time here. We ordered the drunken noodles and the spicy chicken. The noodles were ok, but the chicken was disgusting. The meat was so rubbery and hard that you couldn’t even chew it. My husband, who can usually power though food, spit it out.
It was expensive too! Don’t waste your money here.
Only carry out at this time.
Love pad tai. Spice just right. Hot.....real chicken??
Best Drunken noodles I’ve ever had!! So good that I will drive right past 3 other Thai food places to get it here!
I love this place! Great food, fast service, and allergy friendly.
Great food me and my staff goes here almost every day plus very understanding workers!!!
Consistently good Thai food ... I've had a selection of pad thai curry and drunken noodles Thom Kha and appetizers. All have been great.
Cashier not very helpful trying to decide what I wanted to order no input from the young lady
Great Thai dishes Pad Curry to shrimp chips.
First time ordering. I am VERY picky when it comes to Thai and Chinese food. I ordered the Orange chicken, the sauce flavor was really really good. The chicken was typical of what you get at any carry out..kinda dry. Hubby ordered Three's Company Fried Rice, he liked the flavor but it didn't seem like it had any shrimp or beef in it..only chicken. Overall it is good enough that we would order again but nothing to write home about.
Most often medium is too hot so I get my food mild and add my own spice at home.
My husband likes real spicy we order medium spice for him. All noodle dishes have great flavor.
Have ordered here about ten times now. Ordered a few different dishes. If you looking for the best thing to order here it is the fried rice. Always fresh and hot. It is Spicy Bangkok Cafe’s “no disappointment dish” .
So pleased with our first carry-out from this place! Our entire order was correct, all of our meals were delicious and so flavorful, the mild spice level was spot on, and their fresh rolls were HUMONGOUS and so yummy. Can’t wait to go back and try more! Highly recommend!
The worst experience ever microwaved food you can’t even smell the food while you walk in
We love the food here. Food is delicious and made the way we like it. Service is great and everybody is so nice. My favorite dishes here are the pad see ew, masama curry and pad thai. I definitely recommend.
Everything I’ve ordered has been great! Love their extra spicy chicken pad thai
We've ordered here a few times.
1st time awesome no complaints.
However after that down hill, but we've tried giving benefit of doubt.
We've been hung up on trying to place an order eventho they were supposed to be open another hour.
Half cooked veggies in pad tai rice, even found hair strings!
They haven't been open long so the actions they're exhibiting is really disappointing.
The Pad Thai was extremely flavorful, the sauce excellent. The Gang Gai had a wonderful aroma and taste. The consistency of the sauce was great and was spicy without taking away the flavor. The spring rolls were crispy and delicious.
We have ordered from here several times. Food is very good however, we have found black hair in our dinner 2 times!!!!! Kind of disgusting! Cooks are supposed to wear hair nets! Health department might be called soon...
Wish they would take orders before 11 so we could eat there for lunch. But obviously no one cares. Lol maybe they will are when the place closes.
I really wanted to like this place and maybe I just ordered the wrong thing. I ordered the peanut noodle dish medium spicy. They did a very good job giving me extra veggies and were very nice. But this dish didn’t have the items listed in the dish and no eggs. It also has no flavor or spice at all. For the price, I expected it to be better. But, there are better spots for Thai food.
It was very good! They were nice and accommodating to me as a vegan. Will be back :)
Orange Chicken was right on the money, must try
Sooo good!! Curry noodle! 😍😍
Quality food and customer service! Definitely recommend!
Good food every time :)
Food is great and quick to grab
Really good! I wish they added more beef or chicken in the pad thai and offered brown rice as an option. But the flavor is really good and service is fast.
Couldn't stay to eat. NO BATHROOMS❗
WHAT DO THEIR EMPLOYEES DO ❓❓❓
Ordered from here while shopping at nearby stores. We ordered basil fried rice, gang dang (red curry), and pad thai with chicken. Also got edamame and spring rolls. Everything was delicious; I've eaten at almost every Thai restaurant in Wayne county, and this rivaled or surpassed all the best.
Service was friendly, the order was ready exactly when they said it would be (I was there around 3pm on a weekday). I can't wait to go back and try more dishes! Highly recommended.
I've eaten here several times already since it opened and it has yet to disappoint! Great food and friendly staff. So happy to finally have a good Thai place nearby!
The lady who took my order was very nice but the food was very disappointing. Ordered the Three's Company dinner and it was almost entirely rice. I had to scavenge through it to find 2 pieces of shrimp and 2 tiny bits of chicken and beef. For $13, it felt like a rip-off.
Good food great taste, I will eat hear again..
