This place taste authentic and not too Americanized in its ingredients and flavors. Would come here again to try some of the other traditional dishes.

The place is pretty large with plenty of seating. Looks to be pretty well kept and decorated modestly. I think it’s family run so I was patient with the error on my charge the young girl made.

Food was ok, not particularly delicious. Nothing memorable -Tom Kha soup had too much additional sugar. Coconut milk is sweet enough on its own...added sugar is not good and masks if there were any aromatics like lime or cilantro. Entrees were smallish, EXPENSIVE and lacked any subtle or complex flavoring....too sweet, lacking characteristic Thai flavors.

The Shrimp Himsparn is every bit as good as it sounds in the menu. Delicious! Would take a little spiciness if that's your taste.

Disappointing experience. The pad thai was sour and a very strong fish sauce smell. Massuman curry was watery and the potatoes uncooked. Even the rice was sub par. Idk, maybe the chef was having a really off day because I saw lots of good reviews here.

We were trying to get some Thai food in Framingham and finally ended up in this place. Nice location and we underestimated this place. the food quality was really good. The food was little salty and spicy but it was tasty and not oily. Little pricey for the quantity but worth a try

The chicken was not even cooked properly every single plate fork and spoon had stains on them either you have been having several off days for years or you are just making food for people with no tastebuds

Frequent visitor from out of town... I think this is some of the best Thai food in the Natick / Waltham / Framingham area, after Manow Thai in Newton. I travel to Thailand frequently and think their wok-based meals are fantastic. Definitely won't be disappointed with any basil-wok dish.

Not sure about some of the aged low reviews posted. Perhaps the restaurant has changed chef or manager since. I will state that I have not tried any curries here.

Terrible food. Chicken was undercooked, multiple forks were dirty and unpresentable. No bathroom in this establishment either. Don’t come here if you’re concerned for your wellbeing.

I went here on a whim because the sushi place down the street was unexpectedly closed for the day. The food was delicious and the service was friendly!

Take out on 12/6/21: Your place definitely deserves at least half a star for a good laugh we had. My Bengal tripod cat was accidentally on the table and started burying the Chili Basil Thai food so thoroughly that we couldn't stop laughing at her persistence, despite food being the worst we have tried for many years.

100$+ absolutely wasted. Under cooked veggies, chicken with rotten smell, absolutely disgusting shrimps... The color of broth in one of the meals was like in the bucket with a dirty rag after i wet clean the entire house. Are those meals leftovers from Sunday?

Seriously, think twice before choosing this place. First and last time here...

I had some curry delivered last night, when it arrived there was no rice (order doesn't come with rice you have to pay extra). So I asked them to resend the rice. I got one small container of rice and a whole new serving of curry. So now l still need more rice but oh man! That curry is delicious!

Surprising find. had the Winter shrimp which were delivered hot and cooked perfectly. Pork KaProw could have been a bit spicier, but great vegetables with it and lots of flavors.

Food was mostly Delicious. Not as generous of helpings as at other Thai restaurants in area however.
Blend of spices was very good. The tempura veggies were amazing. The three stooges was sublime.
Beef in macadamia beef was chewy. Golden tofu triangles were good and sauces were excellent.
Hot and sour soup was just ok. Not a lot of flavor or hot. Two small shrimp did nothing to improve it. I will not try it again.
Overall, Definitely worth another try .

The food was too sweet for my taste. I have had authentic thai food and the food here does not taste very authentic.

We mostly do take out here and their pad tai is awesomely addictive. Their duck is one of our favorite dishes now as well and their appetizers are all good. In terms of dine-in, it's a small place but there is usually a table and the service is good.

We went there about 6 p.m. and the restaurant was very cold. After we asked several times to turn the heat up they did. Ordered the beef macadamia and some appetizers dumplings and spring rolls which were very delicious. They brought me the beef macadamia which was lukewarm. Had to send it back for them to warm up. The beaf itself was very chewy and overdone. When we got the check my friend complained about it and they took it off the bill. The service was very good. All in all I would say that the restaurant is usually pretty good but not a good night this time.

Gentle ambiance, chicken satay to die for! Would definitely return!

I am surprised that this hidden gem is not more widely praised. Let's break it down.

Ambiance; Quality & Presentation; Cost

1. Ambiance

This place is downright homie and charming. On every visit, our server was fast, friendly, knowledgeable and not excessively attentive. My only slight complaint is that when outdoor temperature dips below freezing, it's a bit drafty by the front window.

2. About the food...

Any restaurant can make a decent Pad Thai. The primary flavors are a simple blend of peanuts sugar and noodles. And so, I use more subtle and complex Thai staples as bellwether -- to compare the quality of cuisine: (1) Lemongrass hot & sour soup and (2) Coconut green curry w/chicken.

Presentation: Colorful, aesthetic and slightly structured. Without going overboard, it was lovely.

On these critical dishes, I can't imagine a more incredibly enjoyable experience. Distinct flavors blend into a medley of epicurian joy. The level of sweet, Salt, and Spice was just perfect! I found myself thanking my good fortune for having a tongue.

3. And finally on the issue of cost...

Chili Basil Thai charges slightly less than the average for this upscale town. 1 soup, 2 appetizers, 2 entrees and 2 drinks come to under $60, before tax. It's not the cheapest restaurant in town, but slightly less than what I would expect for the experience.

I'm have pretty high standards and expectations. I can find no reason to give this wonderful dining experience less than five stars. The incredible slavers lingard on my pellet as I returned to my car .

The taste was good but don’t know why but my wife puked that out and I faced gastritis on the same night. There is definitely something wrong with the food

warm glass of water,hot room did not have a.c. working and no Pho,I understand,it is Vietnamese but put it on the menu no one else on route 20 is doing it you will make a killing

We get takeout from Chili Basil weekly. They are great with our complicated orders (no egg or no peanut. Light on on the onions, and whatnot) Very nice staff. Food is excellent.
