This is by far the best Thai food south of Boston. Other Asian restaurants I've tried are disappointments in comparison. The sauces are light and flavorful while the vegetables and meats and seafood are fresh. In too many suburban Asian restaurants, the sauces have the consistency of cough syrup and the flavor profiles of every other mediocore Asian place nearby. Ruk Mae's offerings are a cut above. I'm glad I found this gem.

Yes we were going to this restaurant for last 10yrs but as per my last month experience was so bad, I was told that they are closing by 8 pm due to harsh weather but they stopped taking the order 30mins back, also the service was so poor . The owner not even brought smile while serving food. Also for 2nd order I didn't like her gesture so unwelcoming talk she did. We reached an hour before 8pm so I thought that since I m unsatisfied with the service I will pay less tip but she made us stand and started arguing that how we suppose to give so less tip inspite of such a bad service. Really hate to say but no more I m going to this my old favorite place.

I had soup, Rangoon, a stir fry, and the sizzling Combo and was absolutely satisfied… Bold tastes of ginger and spices. The veggies were fresh. The service was also very good.

Not very customer service friendly even though the food is good as a business owner I am big on customer service. When I went in the second time the owner continued to argue with me about how she did not put eggs in my food when she did. She also said customer isn’t always right, uh ok, I am not looking to be always right. What exactly are you talking about. It was like a salesman trying to convince you that the sky is green and the grass is blue when you are clearly looking at a blue sky and green grass. The biggest disappointments are business folks playing mind games with kind customers trying to support their business as well as interrupting them when they speak. Shaking my head. It’s ok if you forgot we are human. Then she proceeded to project her issues into me and tell me I am an unhappy person. Which is crazy because she always has a resting …..face. I always greet her with a pleasant hello. I always treat folks dealing with my food respectfully because hey you are eating the food and you don’t know what energy they are putting into your food which overall can affect your energy. None the less there is no judgement because sometimes we do not know what one is going through in life.

This is one of our go to take out places. Food is always consistently good. Something for everyone and she is very good about making sure things are kept vegan and if you have an allergy that it is prepared safely.

I have had better Thai food. I was very disappointed. It did not have the flavor and deep culture. Braintree’s Anchan is authentic Thai food. Now I know! I tried it but I will not buy anymore.

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. The food is absolutely amazing, never had anything bad and the service and friendliness is next to none. If you love Thai food and haven’t eaten here yet you are missing out!!

I just would like to say that my partner and I ordered from here for our first time yesterday and we got the shrimp in the blanket and we got chicken Pad Thai and chicken fried rice and a mango smoothie and a mango pineapple smoothie.. but idk what it was but we both ended up getting sick throwing up and such

We loved our lunch here. Good food (not too spicy), clean, good service, large variety on menu. We tried the ginger chicken and the cashew chicken, both excellent with plenty of fresh vegetables.

This place is NOT allergy friendly. Please use a separate fryer for your vegetables like every other legitimate restaurant known to man. Not everyone eats meat or seafood.

Overall the food is good they are a little pricey and I don't like that they charge you extra for sauce that should already come with my meal. I sent $45 and the women wanted to charge me extra for sauce for my brother's rice

An absolute hidden gem! Found this place on a gluten free app and so glad I tried it. I tried the pineapple fried rice and it was the best I’ve had so far! The chicken skewers (I forgot the name on the menu) were cooked perfectly and seasoned well. I felt full but not heavy!

On the drive home, my car smelled of burnt oil. Garlic wings had no garlic, but did taste like... you guessed it...burnt oil. The chicken and shrimp Pad Thai had a WHOLE box of thai noodles and TWO shrimp. No egg, green onions, slice of lime. Dang!! Not your traditional Thai. Disappointing.

I cant say enough about this restaurant. Very clean open kitchen. The staff is very familiar with their style of food and culture. I have yet to be disappointed and don’t expect to be. The staff are very kind and friendly and appreciate your business. I guarantee you will love this food and place, you will not regret it.

Hidden gem! Parking lot made me nervous as it was empty on a Friday, we were the only ones inside but people were taking out left and right. The food was fresh and flavorful I could not get enough. The owner was so sweet and attentive too.

Great prices, excellent quality, soo glad they make it easy to see what is gluten free & what is vegan/vegetarian! Really accommodating to dietary restrictions which seems to be rare in New England. Such an awesome Thai place - one of the best I've ever been to!

Also glad they admit the fresh rolls are 2 rolls, instead of calling them "pieces", chopping them up and deliberately misleading customers into thinking they're paying for more rolls than they are. They're a pain to make, and tricky to master, so $8 is expensive for 2, but not entirely out of the realm of sanity. Either way, I'm glad they don't try to pretend you're getting more than you are. This place is very honest & up front.

Food is good. Not a fan of the credit card upcharge. And definitely not a fan of the fact that it is more expensive for a chicken and shrimp pad thai is way more expensive here than what I usually pay for in Brookline. Such a shame.

Great food. Got the beef pepper, jungle curry, and Masaman curry. If you like spicy food, then I suggest that you make it very clear; the food was not quite as spicy as we would have liked. Despite this, it was seasoned very well and made for a very enjoyable experience. Great food, inexpensive, I'm coming back.

Growing up in a multi-cultural area I learned to appreciate different cuisines. Years before I attended J&W, my family would go out to restaurants along the Rt 195 corridor, from Providence to Wareham. Ruk Mae portions are good, and the menu tells you the level of spice heat for the different items. I like spice, but still have to be cautious, so I'm always happy with their food.

I've eaten at Ruk Mae many times over the past few years and have always enjoyed my meals.

We have a family member with Celiac disease who eats here regularly, as the Ruk Mae ladies can prepare many options gluten free.

I absolutely love this place. When we moved to Stoughton I was worried I wouldn’t be able to find a good local Thai place. Well, boy was I wrong. This knocks all other places I’ve tried out of the water. The food is fresh and delicious, well spiced, the portions are generous, and the staff is so warm and friendly. Seriously the nicest people you will ever meet. The decor is very nice, with thoughtful touches throughout (love seeing family photos!). We’re working our way through the entire menu and everything has been phenomenal. I rave about this place to everyone and am I’m so happy I found Ruk Mae. Give it a try- you won’t be disappointed!!

We order from here at least once a week for take out but its also a very comfy atmosphere for a family dinner too! 10/10 would recommend if you are looking for authentic and affordable food. Authentic and Delicious! Fast courteous service. Glad I found this place so I don’t have to always trek to Boston! Watch for different hours though... maybe call ahead. Only thing is they need to invest in new silverware and plates... guess it contributed to the “like home” feel. Foodies will love it!

My family has been going to Ruk Mae since they opened years ago in Stoughton. We always do take out instead of dining-in, not sure why, the place is clean and wonderful. The owner is terrific and friendly and always has a smile on her face from what I've seen. The food is terrific and my goto's are always Pad Thai, Chicken Hot Basil, with veggie spring rolls. Highly recommend Ruk Mae in Stoughton and its our #1 Thai restaurant in/near Stoughton.

The perfect restaurant, I'll go here any day of the week. I feel like i can open the menu, close my eyes and point at something and trust that whatever i get would be great (i don't do that, i have my favorites). If you like really spicy stuff you gotta try the jungle rice, it's on it's own level. If you can't handle the heat then get a thai iced tea on the side. If spicy isn't your thing then try the sesame chicken, look, I know you've had chicken with some flavored sauce from some chinese food restaurants but ruk mae makes it different. Food always comes out fast, fresh and hot. Just go there already, the place is great.

Noodle dishes are better than other entres. Don't go with beef as meat.

Food was great, but we had one dish with cross contamination. If you're vegan or vegetarian, check food thoroughly before eating.
