Little gem of a place in Salisbury, not far from Blue Ocean Music Hall where we were headed to see an ABBA concert. This family business has very friendly service, a dining area that can seat 20 people and a clean, well kept lobby. We ordered the chicken drunken noodles and crispy chicken basil. Both were delicious. Will go back again!

First time trying Thai Zap this week & since I’ve ordered takeout from here 3 nights in a row. Hands down my new favorite go-to! Each time, I was blown away with how fresh and cooked to perfection each item was. Their online ordering was very easy to navigate and customize dishes (protein, rice, & spice). Highly recommended!

Gee thanks . She said the table was now reserved. We were kind of thrown, but just left because she wasn’t very polite about it. We had no Idea you could reserve a table, but was kinda given the vibe from the server “yeah you can but you didn’t” There was no” I’m so sorry” “I can rush a take out order ” or “one of the other tables will be free in x minutes”. So we left with a “bad taste in our mouth” I guess the other times we were oblivious to the fact you can reserve because it was never an issue.I can see reserving as an option maybe but not on a busy Friday night but maybe you have to at a small place.

Foods good though so I guess reserve a table so you won’t get the boot like us.

Anyhow, there are too many other options out there and we will take them out of the rotation for now.

Really good Pad Thai and curry. Be careful on the spice level. My wife and I recently ordered the medium level and our mouths were quite hot, and we have a solid tolerance. Very sweet owner as well

We visited Thai Zap in Salisbury this afternoon. What a treat! The food was AMAZING from the Crab Rangoon (the best we've never had), Steamed Dumplings, and Tom Yum soup, to the Jumbo Shrimp Pad Thai, Red Curry Chicken, Steamed Noodles, and Garlic Salmon. Even the Thai Tea was exceptional.

I've lived in town for the last eight years and driven by this place every day and never considered trying this place. I finally did about 5 months ago, and haven't regretted it once in all the times I've returned since then. Food is excellent and as spicy as you want it. Try the Tom Kha or the Yellow Curry with Chicken! So many other goodies, too! The staff are friendly and the service excellent. Try it. You'll love it!

After hearing great things about Thai Zap we tried take out for the first time. The Pad Thai and the House Fried Rice were both tasty. We will definitely be back to try more menu items.

I love Shrimp Tom Yum Soup very tasty the shrimp very fresh soup is very good with the Thai Herb I love it so 😋

The fresh rolls were great. My only complaint about them is that they cut them in thirds instead of halfs. The middle sections self-destruct when you try to eat it. I'm sure they would cut them in half if you asked when you order them.
I got the salmon fried rice that was a weekly special. It was well made but the fish was a little dry and overcooked. The waitress was friendly and very on top of everything. I would come back here if I was heading through town again.

Mainly takeout with a few seats. The food is very good. I liked the pad Thai and my wife liked the papaya salad.

This place is fantastic! You wouldn't notice it if you didn't drive by every day, and even so you probably wouldn't think a hole-in-the-wall Thai place at the end of quiet shopping strip would be any good - but I promise you won't be disappointed. The salmon is of excellent quality, and I absolutely loved it with fried rice and green curry. The fried tofu and steamed dumplings were awesome as well. As a bonus, the service is great - can't get such good, fresh-tasting food this quick in too many places. Definitely the best Thai food I've personally had on the east coast, and I would argue this is the best Asian-style food you'll find in the North Shore. ENJOY!!

Visiting Salisbury and found this highly rated Thai restaurant online. Fresh, flavorful, delicious. We ordered Door Dash delivery and it arrived piping hot and thoughtfully packaged. Real care goes into this food. If you order spicy, be assured that spicy is what you will get. So refreshing! Wonderful! We had the Spicy Pad Thai, Massaman Curry, and Yellow Curry. Highly recommend these dishes. Would love to sample every item on the menu. Would return to charming Salisbury just to eat here. Thank you!

This place has the best drunken noodles you can find north of Boston. Not only do they have a great selection of vegetarian options, but their fresh spring rolls are second to none. I would recommend Thai Zap highly to anyone looking for great Thai food.

We are well traveled and try a LOT of restaurants. They had BY FAR the best Crab Rangoon. ALL of the food is FRESH and the vegetables are cooked perfectly. Great service as well. They accommodated my family with 5 kids easily and treated us like family!

Asian good places in this area are usually just okay, but this place is genuinely very good. For those who are not used to spicy food, medium is spicier than you think.

I was craving thai and that big place in Newburyport was full/not doing take out. Googled Mali for dinner and now we are hooked. Easy online ordering and pick up at Mali. I love thai food and I’m not a thai cuisine expert but this is excellent thai food. Fresh, diverse menu and very professional staff. I haven’t disliked anything yet…3rd time ordering. Looking forward to being a regular and actually dining inside. The price point is also appropriate. Levels beyond the big thai place in Newburyport.

I stopped for takeout figured I'd eat when I got home because I'm already behind schedule. I ate the spring rolls in the van and after that decided I need to pull over and eat the rest. I've had plenty of good food in my travels all over New England, but this BY FAR takes the cake and I'd give 10 stars if I could. I hope this food isn't too fattening because I plan to travel out of my way to stop here anytime i can. Small but comfortable restaurant. You can dine in or place orders for take out (the option I selected). I usually order ahead at restaurants but this time I didn't. But no worries the staff accommodated me and still received prompt friendly service.
Opted to try spicy pad thai with chicken along with a few crab Rangoons. Delicious! Spicy pad thai, yes but not so spicy you can't taste the flavor of the dish. The crab Rangoon tasty as well. Thank you!! I have to return to try some of the other dishes on the menu

We have lived in Newburyport for almost 5 years. Our experience with Asian restaurants has been, at best mediocre. Until we discovered Mali ThaiZap, that is. Their food is absolutely amazing. IMO it’s the best Asian restaurant in this area. The only caution we can offer is that the spice levels are Thai levels so proceed with caution. I usually do mild to medium. Excellent Asian food. It has become our go to place.

The owner and staff are all friendly and welcoming! Their Thai food is truly authentic and made to order.......Spicy fried rice and Panang curry (with chicken) are my favorites, but everything is great and so fresh!! I eat at Thai Zap often and the food and service is consistently excellent!

So, I don't write a ton of Google reviews - only when I'm seriously impressed. Mali's Thai Zap is rapidly becoming my hands-down favorite Thai food spot in the area. Too many good choices to list here, but if you're a fan of pad Thai (and who isn't?) do yourself a favor and get their chef's special pad Thai with jumbo prawns. I could live off of their scallion pancakes. The curries are amazing. Amazing duck and salmon options. It's all good. Fresh, crafted, authentic. Oh, and the heat... if you're into something that'll wake your body up, go for extra-spicy, and thank me later.

Really good Thai, friendly but strip mall atmosphere. Pad Thai, curries, Thai iced tea, and Thai/Vietnamese-style summer rolls are all flavorful and what I envision when I think of each dish. Just wish Mali’s was still on DoorDash for my area and had longer hours so I could eat there more often.

Really good food for a reasonable price, absolutely love the curry and the Thai style bubble tea. The reason I decided to take the time to write this (other than all the previous positive experiences) is because last night I placed an order just before they closed and I had no idea. I showed up half hour later and picked up my food still having no idea until the nice young lady followed me out and closed the door. I immediately thanked her for being so kind. No telling me that “we’re about to close, no orders” and no just closing up and being like “oh well not our fault”. Truly amazed by this because in today’s day and age customer service is out the window; not so with Thai zap.

They are always making my kids feel special when we come. Letting them try all of the flavors of popping bubbles.

I had my fair share of Thai food around, and I got to say this place delivers on big flavors and great food. I phone in my ordered on Saturday afternoon and it was ready as promised. We ordered Drunken and Pai Thai noodles, Red Curry and wontons. Best Drunken noodles ever! I highly recommend this place if yo are around Salisbury Beach.

The building is not impressive so you might be inclined to drive by but the food is excellent and prices are reasonable. They need at least a half hour to prepare an order to go but the wait is well worth it.

Got takeout from here a couple weeks ago based on stellar reviews we read online. The restaurants outside appearance is not super great but I know looks can be deceiving so we gave it a try anyways. Food smelled great and service was very quick and friendly, which is why I am not giving it one star.. unfortunately when we got home and opened our food, we found a mealworm in our white rice immediately. We called and the woman apologized profusely and offered to refund us. We were disappointed to not be able to eat the food because it smelled delicious, but we ended up tossing it obviously. She then called back 5 minutes later and said it was just a piece of brown rice that got into our white rice... I know what rice looks like and this was NOT it. They seem very friendly but unfortunately there are clearly some cleanliness issues that need to be taken care of.. and accountBility.

Edit: adding since the owners response implies we were just trying to get $47 worth of free food.. when we called about the worm, we did not ask for a refund, the woman made the offer to refund us.

Absolutely DELICIOUS food! Fresh ingredients and super tasty menu. We get takeout from here all the time (with Covid times) and they have an easy walk up window to pick your food up with sanitary and safe process.

I also was just lucky enough to have them cater my Baby Shower. All of the guests raved about the food and LOVED it! Mel, one of the owners, was super sweet working with my sister to get our order together. They made a special grocery trip to pick up all the ingredients for our menu and cooked all the food when they weren't typically open. We had fresh rolls, scallion pancakes, panang curry (their curries are awesome!), and pad thai (for an easy crowd pleasing option).

It's so hard to find awesome authentic international food in this area. Feel so lucky to have this fantastic FAMILY owned restaurant so close to home. If you've been meaning to try them do it! (I'm writing this as I eat leftovers from there, so good.)

Mali's Thaizap is THE best Thai places, I've ever been to. Mel, the owner is super awesome and she takes very good care of the customers. I am a vegan and she accommodated me and made dishes with no fish sauce and eggs and that was the best vegan thai food I ever had. We ordered Scallion Pancake for appetizers and it was yummy!! Ginger veggie dish was amazing! We had Pad thai, 2 different kinds of fried rices and all of them were great. They serve only bottled water!!! I would highly recommend this place to anyone and would be back again soon!!

Best Thai in the area, large portions at a great price.

This was our first ever order while visting Salisbury. We ordered online and had to wait for pickup. Accidentally they gave us wrong order. But they found about it half hour later and called us. Luckily we had not opened the food. They were courteous enough to offer to deliver our order inspite of the fact that we were half an hour away from there.
Food was amazing. We ordered chicken satay, spicy drunken noodles and spicy massaman curry.

This place is amazing! Fresh ingredients, great service and a relaxing atmosphere make for an excellent dining experience. Some of the best dishes are the basil entree, papaya salad, red curry, spicy pad Thai, and all of the appetizers particularly the fried tofu. Delicious, fresh food! Thank you

Delish red curry!

They have the best thai food for the most reasonable price compared to other thai restaurants in Newburyport, Amesbury and Salisbury! They are always so kind and the food is always fresh!

Everything I've ordered here is fantastic including the gluten free options. I like the chili pepper fish sauce and they make it special for me all the time. Great service. Friendly. Reasonable prices. Can't go wrong.

Great food nice people

First off, don't let the outside fool you. The restaurant is very low key and one might not visit them because of that. The restaurant itself is not that big and does not have a lot of tables. One reason that I hesitate to write the review. Because selfish old me wants to make sure that when I get there, I won't have any issue finding a table. The food however is out of this world. This is probably the best Thai food in the area. I mean, I have eaten at all the other Thai restaurant in Salisbury, Newburyport, Seabrook, Exeter, etc. Nothing even come close in terms of flavor and price. Try them and I guarantee that you will be a regular customer.

1st visit and the food was amazing!! Started with combo appetizers plates, nice start with multiple tastings. Beef and Garlic, Beef and Basil Dinners were “10”!! Pork Lo Mein was light, extremely flavorful and so fresh. BYOB is an add on bonus. Great value without sacrificing quality and quantity. Only comment would be on service, little lax on checking back on everything, but a very minor item, waitress was extremely nice thou. Highly recommend a visit.

I took a chance on this small Thai restaurant in Amesbury. Don’t be turned away by the shabby strip mall it’s in. Family owned business super friendly. Food was fresh and very tasty. The only reason I didn’t give it five stars is inside/outside appearance. They say don’t judge a book by its cover but unfortunately we do at times. The ownership would benefit from a quick interior/exterior makeover.

One of the best Thai places we have been to.
The chef has over 20 years experience. Food is great quality and feels more authentic than other Thai places we have been. Service is always very courteous and prompt. Pineapple fried rice and drunken noodle is our most favorite.

Haven't eaten here as of yet. But I have heard from several people that Mali's has really good Thai food.

Delicious cooked to order thai food. Delightful couple own a d operated. Don't let the hidden entrance next to a computer repair throw you off. Small cozy dine in experience or order to go. Best thai food on north shore. Try it - they start serving lunch in June!!

I love love love Thai food. We have eaten at many Thai food restaurants between Vermont, New Hampshire, Maine, Massachusetts etc. I have only two Thai restaurants that I really like and this is one of them. Food is delicious in fresh and the owners are wonderful. If I could I would go here everyday to eat. When I do go, I want to take half of my meal back so I can have it for breakfast and next day. DELICIOUS.

Newer owners, way better now. Worth another shot if you've been in past. Prices are fair, portions are good, quality is impeccable. They are super fast too.
