Thai, Sushi Bar, Selection Japanese and Korean. Authentic Thai and Japanese decor with modern vibe.
Carefully crafted sushi rolls. Fresh ingredients with perfected house recipes. Signature dishes with vibrant presentation.
I have been going to Ying's for years. The sushi is delicious and the food is pretty consistently yummy, although the portions have changed over the years. The vibes are very mellow and it is a very lowkey dine-in experience. The server who I have gotten the past few times has always been a tad rude, specifically by questioning the amount of food being ordered in an almost disapproving tone. It is a little odd and unexpected that a server would want to make one feel that way but I still come back because of this specific dish: Bangkok Roti. I have never found this dish anywhere else and it is LOVED by my whole family. Overall it is definitely worth going and they also have boba which is kind of hard to find on cape!
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Finally, the Thai restaurant that is authentic in Hyannis😭💕 The food is authentic. The best part is that they use "Jasmine Rice" here! REAL Thai food comes with Jasmine Rice, guys.
Tried the Pad See-U, it's real authentic. Each bite brought me back to Thailand😭🥺 The roti with yellow curry sauce (appetizer) is so gooooood. The sauce isn't spicy and very flavorful. Chives Dumplings are hard to find in the Cape so THANK YOU for having this on the menu and of course, they're delicious!
My husband met the owner and she was very nice. Thank you for having this good standard of Thai food. It's hard to find around here. I really do appreciated Thai restaurants that use Jasmine Rice, don't downgrade our own food🇹🇭
Honeymoon Chicken Roll was delicious. The Jalapeno Tuna roll was just the right balance of spicy and savory. The fried ice cream and Custard Sticky Rice were some of the best deserts I've had. The boba tea was rich and flavorful. The service was polite, sweet, and attentive. This truly was an excellent experience, I would recommend this place to anyone given the opportunity.
I went for lunch with a friend at about 2 o’clock in the afternoon in November. They apparently had no staff at the time because there appeared to be only one person there who was making lunch for a table of four that had arrived before we had.
Therefore, we had to wait over half an hour before we were waited upon. But once the other table left and was cleaned up, we received great attention. However, that took up a considerable amount of time.
I found their miso soup to be excellent, but my extra large and special sushi roll was good, but not exceptionally good. I would definitely eat there again as I really liked the decorations that they had in the restaurant. But if I go again and have to wait over half an hour to get any food at all, I probably would not go back a third time.
Tried this place on the fly as we were in Hyannis and thought this might be nice. Only 1 person seating, taking the order, making the dishes AND serving, too!! I wondered :" how is this possible?". It's NOT. Thankfully his prep of food is amazing and delicious. BUT, no one should be asked to juggle everything like this. Tonights Waiter, Server, and Food Preparer was terrific. How about giving him more help... or calling it a day.
Food was excellent. Sushi portions are generous. They are clearly understaffed. Reviews stated that, so we went with that in mind. Place was not busy. Waiter was also the bartender, sushi chef, host, and phone operator among other responsibilities. Seeing this, my expectations dropped. Knowing all of this, we were not in a hurry. Every cocktail and every bit of food was absolutely excellent. I would recommend Yings to everyone. Have patience, it's well worth it. Mai Tais, martinis, spring rolls, shu mai, tuna, salmon, rolls, pineapple shrimp rice, Korean beef.

We just came in for the boba all was fine except for my drink i ordered taro smoothie and it was watery i told him if he could make it a smoothie cause thats what i orderd. He said i did blend it. soo disappointing.we spent alot of money and they seemed to be short staffed.
One of best Asian restaurants on the Cape
Spicy pineapple curry chicken with white rice is a very good meal.

Food was alright (amazing shrimp tempura roll though!). They do have a very large menu though and many other options looked and sounded great.
My main qualm is poor service for dining in. Only 2 other tables in the whole restaurant were occupied, but service was still extremely slow (which I don’t understand). There was a sign in the front for no host but also said to please wait to be seated, so my friend and I had to awkwardly flag down a waiter in the dining area after a few minutes. Once we were seated, it also took quite a while for my friend and I to get drinks, have our orders taken, and to receive a check.
On top of this, the staff sat us directly next to a very loud family with kids that were running around the restaurant, yelling, touching decor, and literally coming up to our table. I understand it’s due to the fact that we had to be seated in a waiter’s section, but the only other occupied table in the restaurant was seated far away from us and the loud family... It just further ruined our experience on top of the slow service and frankly made us uncomfortable. I wish the restaurant had been more aware of this and had tried to address the issue with parents as it’s also a safety concern. All shame is on the parents, but it should not be on other customers themselves to speak up about this bad behavior (nor did I want to escalate the situation by doing so myself).
It also worries me that this restaurant has several years of negative reviews about rude and poor service, but seemingly no accountability and further disrespect in their responses. I regret not taking a closer look at the reviews prior to dining here. If service does improve then I’d love to try and dine here again!
Edit: I really appreciate the restaurant’s timely and respectful response on this review. I understand that being short staffed and having inconsiderate customers are always difficult challenges to address. Best of luck with everything, and I’m looking forward more now to coming again in the future!
I would not recommend to anyone!
9/2/24 - I ordered take out and all the food was great! It was so good that I actually ordered again the following day.
9/3/24 - I ordered again. But this time the experience wasn’t so pleasant. Apparently I showed up too early and the food wasn’t ready. I politely ask the hostess (who was very nice) when do you think it would be ready. I was not in a rush. If it was going to take a few more minutes then I would’ve waited. If it was going to be longer, I would have left and stopped at the store and return.
The hostess ask the gentleman (wearing the Bluetooth headset) making the order, how much longer it would take… I hear him rudely respond to both of us: “it’ll be ready when it’s ready”. He can’t simply give a “5 more mins, 10 more mins” etc?
So she was not able to give me an ETA on my order. I explain to this gentleman that I was not rushing him. I simply wanted to know if I should wait longer or if I should run out and come back. His rude attitude towards me and his fellow coworker was so appalling I had to say something to him. I asked him if he thought it was appropriate to talk to paying customers like this? I asked him if he would think the Owners of Ying’s would appreciate his distasteful attitude towards their customers? He rolls his eyes and responds with a disingenuous “thank you for your feeddback”.
I never write negative feedback. I thoroughly enjoyed the food so the actions of the sushi chef really put a bad taste in my mouth. Thank you to the hostess for being kind but the owners of Ying’s should be aware of this.
Edit: hilarious response from the disgruntled sushi chef. Yapping off about how they can’t provide a simple eta on a weekend when I ordered on a Tuesday night lmao.
Clearly this is an establishment that can’t handle feedback with grace and as you scroll through the reviews you can see rude customer service is a common trend. Changing from 2 stars to 1 star according. See ya
I have eaten at Ying's many times and the food has been consistently delicious. I think this is a hidden gem and underrated restaurant in Hyannis.
The sushi is delicious. The noodle and other chicken/rice dishes are fantastic. After eating here 5+ times, my husband and I have never had anything that is less than fantastic. I highly recommend this place for sushi, Thai, and other Asian dishes.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

A few points of feedback:
1. Food: The food here is mediocre. One of the sushi rolls we got were good but the other one missed the mark as the seaweed salad inside it tasted off. We followed it up with an order of gyoza which given the size of the menu we knew were not going to be handmade but we were hoping for proper cooking. This did not happen, they were ice cold in the middle and thrown on the plate with water dripping off of them. The Bangkok roti tasted good but again could tell it was thawed and the size of curry served with the roti is inadequate given the amount of roti served.
2. Service: Our server was kind and very attentive - kudos to her. However, the requirement that you need to tip 20% irrespective of service sits poorly with me. Raise the menu prices by 20% but leave tipping in the hand of the customer. Otherwise, this is a forced tax.
3. Ambiance: The ambiance is cute with lots of Thai pieces of art and furniture. However, the restaurant would have a more polished look if these pieces were dusted and well maintained. You could tell that there was dust collecting on them. The lampshade above our table had wads of dust stuck to it.
All in all, the people are kind and trying their best. Would recommend they focus on a smaller menu and accept the feedback. If you're in town and want a quick meal - drop by, but double check what you ordered and take it to go.
Edit: Given their response, all has been said. No grace in accepting feedback and a classless act of a restaurant. For 25 years, they have been serving mediocre food then and they are willing to call a paying customer's opinion uninformed as opposed to trying to rectify. Ratings have been moved even lower accordingly.
The food was amazing with lots of options, the staff was kind, and the ambiance inside the restaurant was really pretty! 🥰
Many Asian food options - did not order sushi but drunken noodles which were fine. Friendly staff
Food, absolutely delicious. Everything we ate was wonderful.
Service, very attentive and thoughtful.
Atmosphere is so calming and lovely.
I had been to Ying many times, but hadn't been there in a while. Bibimbap is a favorite of mine. I have had it at Yings previously and it was great. My last visit, it was just okay. The sauce was not that hot, and the egg was poached, not fried. That's a small problem... the waitstaff was kind of rude. I guess that's okay because a 20% tip was added to my bill. I'm not a cheap tipper. I usually tip at that rate. But had I not looked at the bill, I may not have caught it. It was tacked on, yet not mentioned.
The menu is huge; there is so much to choose from! I always go for the sushi, but there are many options for dinner, lunch, and takeout. The staff is always kind and shares in the excitement of the experience! They let you take your time and answer any questions you have. Nothing beats the presentation of the food and the drinks. Definitely will become a regular dinner place for me in Hyannis!
Food was good (though my curry had mostly soup/sauce & little chicken/veg), service was OK (we needed water refill when order was taken but didn’t get it) - my complaint is they have a sign clearly saying 20% dining room fee is added to parties of 5+
We were 4, 1 adult +3 kids … they still added the 20%
Honestly I typically tip that much if I can anyway post pandemic - but this was wrong given their sign
It has been about 3 years since I've been there. You should go on Monday night when they had half price sushi.
Great Thai! Terrible sushi.
Go for the Thai.
If I can I will give details later but everything about this restaurant was great especially the face on the waiter when I told him I wanted as spicy as possible. ( if they really did this I couldn't handle it but it would be fun) I guess he did because it was great and made me sweat. My son ordered the sushi and he loved it.
These guys are great, my favorite spot in town
I ordered 5 rolls. All of them were oversized like the ones you can buy at grocery food counter. Meshi(rice) was mushy and I could tell it was cooked by Amateur Sushi chef. Need to improve 200% if this place like to be called as Sushi place. However, the atmosphere and service people look decent.
Not authentic sushi. Most of the food we wanted was not available.
I love the food. It tastes authentic. We ordered varieties of asian cuisine, and I was surprised they were all delicious. However, the serving size is a little too small for me.
I tried their beef soup was really good!
Went to Ying's for the first time for my daughter's birthday. Outstanding. Best sushi I've ever had. Everyone at our table was very satisfied with our dinning experience from the service to the food.
Ying's Sushi Bar and Lounge is one of the best Asian cuisines in town. You won't be able to find such a menu's selections from top of Thai, Japanese, and Korean cuisine combined.
Food was good but be aware they add a 20% service charge to ALL orders.
Great service. Food quality was immaculate as was the atmosphere and the decorations. Enjoyed just sitting at our table looking at everything. Then the food came and that's all we could look at haha. Fire Crunchy roll was delicious and the presentation was awesome. Looked fiery.
Every things look wonderfull
I love this place good variety of SE Asian food and wonderful selection of freshly prepared suchi. Service is fast and efficient and recently reopened the dining room for eat in.
Good quality Thai food. Sushi is fair. Good service.
Beware! This place charges a 20% service fee to dine inside. Sushi was okay, not fantastic. Sushi rice was over done and over seasoned. Many choices though including Thai and Korean cuisine.
Delicious. That's perfect
Excellent chicken fried rice
Very nice decor, calming music, attentive staff. Great food. Amazing fried ice cream. They add 20% gratuity to the bill automatically if you sit down to eat.
Excellent food
Very rude man working at the front. Was picking up a mobile order and asked what other menu items he suggests and he told me “he doesn’t have time for me” and walked away.
I wanted to review this place because it is one of my favorite places to order from! Their sushi is great, I love the Fire Crunchy roll and they have the best Phad thai, I would definitely recommend Ying's to anyone who loves good food!
The worst miso soup I’ve ever had super sour, I got chicken teriyaki with white jasmine rice and broccoli, the chicken was very dry and had no teriyaki sauce And the broccoli was very undercooked. Staff was very unpleasant and didn’t do anything about my food even though I was very unhappy with it. Overall I was really disappointed and won’t be ordering food from here again. Would give no stars if I could!
I ordered sushi this evening from this spot based on the great reviews. My suggestion for the owner is not to cover the rolls in the spicy mayo sauce. I ordered a spicy tuna roll and a spicy salmon roll and the sauce made the rolls taste very heavy. I blotted it down and it was better after i did that. The seaweed salad was awesome and I really enjoyed!
This is NOT a good restaurant. The food is greasy, clumsy, and made with no love whatsoever. The unagi was totally rubbery. The steak teriyaki was like soup. The Ying's special noodles smelled like stinky feet... Couldn't eat them at all. A high school cafeteria LITERALLY serves better food than this utter garbage. I'd give zero stars if I could. Avoid at all costs.
I have to respond to the obnoxious comment below from the restaurant. I ordered bi bim bap w unagi for which they charged me $30 and I paid willingly. Then they forgot the sauce that the food is served with. Without that sauce the dish is completely flavorless and worth nothing. So I paid $30 dollars for a dish that was ruined and my only option was what... drive 12 mile round trip (30 minutes) back to the restaurant for a dish of sauce and then get home to a totally cold meal that cost $30??? TOTAL FAIL. The rest of the food totally sucked anyway. Everything I said above is still true. This was EASILY the worst meal of Asian food I've ever eaten. Honestly, I cannot name one worse.
Great tasting food. I ordered take out (only option available here). I had the steamed dumplings, lovers sushi platter and the beef sqewers.
Dumplings were sitting on floral paper coasters which stuck to them in the steamy box. Kinda gross to pick paper off your dumplings but they still tasted good.
Order was ready way earlier than they said it would be on their website. Usually this isn’t a problem but it was just sitting on a table at room temp, so the food got tepid. I wish they would have called to let me know it was ready early.
The food was tasty though, and that goes a long way so 4/5 stars.
Went there and they are only doing take out. Ok no problem.. took 45 mins to get our food and it was wrong and then my son got food poisoning from his meal. Edit because the owner asked: we ordered over $80 worth of food plus I tipped. It was 4:45ish when we ordered and we got our food around 5:40ish. We were missing one of things we ordered and it was replace with the dish we said we didn't want. Again whatever we all make mistakes.. It was the food poisoning that sent this over the edge. We wouldn't eat there again AND threw out about $40 worth of leftovers because we didn't want to get sick. Edit, edit, the owner contacted me gave me a full refund and said nothing like this has happened in 21 years. May be this was a fluke but he was super diligent in rectifying the situation. Would be willing to give it another try based on the customer service and the fact he was really worried about selling bad product. This didn't seem like something that happens often
Food amazing amazing. Owner said something weird how white people only eat boring food same all the time wherein I am white and an adventurous eater. Nonetheless I must overlook that in order to eat their yummies when I can
The prices are a little steep
Too much rice on the rolls and small portions of the other ingredients. The scallops and the octopus were amazing.
Never been here, rating to make my phone shut up
Great place with Great food! The employees are amazing!
I just love this place..very classy..the service is more than wonderful..very professional..the mood and the ambiance of that restaurant is gorgeous relaxing..the food is delicious..the owner of the place is soo amiable very welcomed..a restaurant you regret to miss..thank you Ying you are charming
Nice places and delicious food. 🥰💞
This was our first visit and unfortunately was disappointed. We went on Valentine's Day without a reservation. We will visit again during a regular day and will post.
Thw best
The rices was mushy, soda didn’t have gas and very overpriced (good customer service)
A must place 👌 to enjoy.
Great service and even better sushi! I've been coming here forever and it's always delicious!
Excellent place! We love it. Each two times week, We take out a best Japanese Food in Hyannis!
It melts in your mouth!!
I come here once or twice a week for their sushi and am pleased every time. Always fresh delicious!
Horrible !!! They use linguine instead of Soba noodles.
This place is hit or miss. Sometimes it’s really good, other times I hate it. The service really sucks sometimes.
Aconchegante
Food was delicious!
A delightful sushi place.
Not much for the atmosphere of the inside. But their food makes up for it. Lovely people that run it.
Delicious sushi - highly recommend!
Pad Thai is phenomenal !
The Pad Thai is excellent
Delicious as always
Excellent Sushi for Dinner with Friends !
Great atmosphere, menu expands further than being just a sushi restaurant
Great food and atmosphere!!
I love this place. The food is always great and fresh. You have to try the tuna salad.
Half priced sushi on Monday!
Couldn’t get better than that!
Half priced doesn’t mean half quality, either. The pieces are normal sized nigiri. The sashimi pieces are the right size, as well. The portions of wasabi and ginger mostly compliment the quantity of sushi ordered. I frequent this place every Monday with family and eat for less than $30.
As well as half priced sushi on Monday, the restaurant has Korean food and Thai food. Parking is a little tight, but you could always uber over to avoid parking hassles.
One of my favorite places for sushi
Weird service but the food was ok. The fish cakes taste like wet cardboard but the yellow curry and the coconut creamy soup are the bomb.
Thursday nights stand-up comedy!!!
Awesome food and horrible service
Great day not to cook and get Sushi.
great food, decent prices
I had crab rangoons and tusaki sushi. Excellent. The service was perfect. I arrived at 9:30pm. Even though they closed at 10:00 PM I was able to get both my items promptly and still had time to talk with her. She even took to time to remind me that on Mondays sushi is half off and there is a nice crowd of people t ok enjoy the food with. I will definanty be going there on Monday.
Delicious dinner i can recommend friends
The sushi is perfect! The salmon was so fresh and the food presentation is neat and appealing. The atmosphere here is awkward, mismatched, and tacky. Don't bring a first date here. It will be your last date. They need to bring in an interior decorator, throw away everything inside, and do a modern paint job. This place would flourish with the Cape.
Try the scorpion bowl yum!
Really really bad. Two strikes and your out. To many other Good options in the same neighborhood. ..
Great sushi! The Volcano roll is OUTSTANDING!
Always delicious!! Fresh ingredients and great clean atmosphere.
Ying's is my go to spot for sushi and pad Thai. We order lunch from here at least two times a week. I definitely recommend the spider roll as well as their drunken noodles. My only complaint is sometimes they have no idea what's on the menu, but the food is good enough to make up for that.
Awesome
We had a great meal here. The sushi was fresh and Thai Food is awesome! Very flavorful The wait staff is friendly and attentive. Great food. Great price. Will definitely be back!
BEST place to have oasis of peace, good friends...from this hectic world.
There are a lot of vegetarian options here. I usually go with the wok stir fry tofu mixed veggie and Jasmine rice. Always fresh ingredients and flavorful sauce.
Best Thai food and sushi in Hyannis. I love tuna jalapeño roll and crunchy roll. The Thai coconut soup is amazing!!!!
Food was great. Loved the spiced green curry with rice noodle for my lunch today. Service was excellent! See you soon !!!
Lunch was great. Just had the most delicious Pad Thai noodles.
Bangkok noodles were my favorite but they are never consistent. Sometimes they have flavor sometimes they don't. Sometimes it comes with a lime sometimes it doesnt. Today I ordered it spicy and it came plain. When I asked why it was made differently today she said I dont know, then told me to add the flavor myself. Ofcourse it did not taste the same because they didnt put the effort in to make it correctly. Then as I started eating it, I noticed the cabbage had some speckles which look like mold so I ended up just not eating it unfortunately. The sushi was good. Not sure if I'll be back.
Food was good. We ordered apps to start, we were not given plates to share. We were seated at a 4 place setting , 2 tables together. During our meal, we were asked to move our belongings, and they (the restaurant), moved the table to the people next to us, so they could put their cell phones, and purses on the extra table. I just think that is in poor taste.
Terrible service, I was shocked, it used to be a good place.
Awsome food
Yings has the Best Sushi and Thai on Cape Cod
The best sushi on the cape. Very clean and fresh food. Awsome experience. Very affordable prices too.
I really love the sushi...
Nice place , mediocre Pad Thai, but great sushi quality.
great place
