This was our first time here. The food is well made. They have Chinese, Thai, Malaysian, and a few Filipino dishes. We opted for Filipino items to try. Everything was good. When we come back in 2 weeks we will be going there for the soup dumplings which look amazing. The restaurant is very nice and can accommodate lots of people. The people there are very friendly and accommodating. It was an amazing experience and we are going to be going again. The Monsoon Bistro and Bar is located in the Holyoke Mall 2nd floor near Macy's. You will definitely be glad you ate here! Check them out!

Just went there for dinner tonight and it was the best Asian cuisine I’ve ever had. We got the Crystal Shrimp Dumplings, Sesame Chicken, and the vegetable Lo-Mein. Also had a lychee martini. Everything was fantastic! The service was excellent. All the staff is very friendly. The atmosphere is great, very nice and clean throughout the restaurant. 10/10, highly recommended. Must try if you visit the Holyoke Mall!

The service was fantastic - our waitress went out of her way to treat us well and gave us great menu tips. The food was stellar.
Fresh Fried wonton strips came at the beginning. I got the Thai basil sautee with chicken, my husband got the mixed soup dumplings and a dumpling sampler. We shared the roti pancake with chicken/potato curry app - that was phenomenal. We also got the mango sticky rice. All of it was great, will definitely be going back.

Had an awesome meal here tonight. Everything was fresh and delicious, and the service was excellent! For appetizers, we tried the Shanghai pork soup dumplings and Satay chicken skewers. For our entree, we split the Mongolian beef and Mee-Siam noodles.

So surprised by this new restaurant in the mall! The food was really good! Menu was really large. We had dumplings, crazy noodles and General chicken and it was all awesome! Service was also perfect and everyone working there was so nice!

Good soup dumplings

Had soup dumplings and Ramen for the 1st time. Absolutely delicious. Was shown the correct way to eat the dumplings. Also had the fried squid. Was terrific. Staff was wonderful.

The char kway teo is exactly how I remember it in Malaysia. This restaurant deserves a lot more attention!

They’re so nice here. Only thing is I feel like they should be giving EVERYONE a Filipino menu. No one is gonna know unless you let them know. The crispy flounder is top tier. Crispy pata, pancit… people are missing out because they don’t know there’s a secret menu.

I have been dying for a nice Chinese food restaurant in the area and after wanting to come here for way too long we finally made it today. I wish I had tried it sooner. It’s by far the best Chinese food we’ve had in the Valley, far and away, and I’d argue better than the restaurants we’ve tried down in Hartford. They also have Thai, Filipino and Malaysian dishes, with entire menus dedicated just to Ramen and Dumplings. The soup dumplings had a hearty, flavorful broth, with lusciously steamed pork inside. My husband had the Peking Duck with pancakes and scallion/cucumber/carrots, which could be assembled into little rolls for delicious bite size consumption. The skin was crispy and the duck was luscious. We split a pomegranate scorpion bowl, which was extremely well made- the perfect balance of fruity and sweet, without being cloying. It had fresh mango, blueberry, cherry, orange and lime mixed in. The service was phenomenal- we sat at the bar and the supervisor who attended us asked us if we knew the best way to eat the dishes and if we wanted to know. We both said we did and learned how to enjoy the dishes without a mess! She was really nice and made the whole experience all the more enjoyable. The ambiance was extremely nice, and the prices were reasonable. We will be back with family and friends, don’t miss out on this place!

We had the best experience eating in at monsoon bistro! We’d ordered takeout before and it was always good, but eating in and learning how to eat soup dumpling and getting Ann’s recommendations was priceless. We highly recommend eating here.

Really good Mongolian beef. Beef was very tender. Portion size was decent. I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu, it all sounds amazing. I did takeout but the inside was really pretty. I will definitely return to dine in

So so good. I got the Lechon (crispy pork belly) even tho I was late to pick up my order and then a half hour drive home it was still crispy. The flavor was spot on and the portion was plentiful. The nice hostess gave me a reheating suggestion in the air fryer and I didn’t even need to do that cause it was perfect as is. I love this restaurant it is the best place to eat in the mall and well worth the half hour drive.

We did not dine in so this is nothing about the atmosphere but after eating some regular Pad Thai it really messed both me and my significant other’s stomachs up, after only a few bites. And their dumplings dough were way too thick and not very good. Won’t be ordering here again if a basic dishes does that to who ever is eating it.

Ann is such a kind and helpful bartender/server - if you’re not sure what to get, just ask for a recommendation.

Over the last two visits, we’ve had the soup dumplings, drunken noodles, red curry, Tom Kha Gai, and Phat Prik Khing - all were just absolutely incredible.

You MUST check out this place! I'm shocked it was not busier on our first visit tonight. It's one of the few outstanding Asian restaurants in western Massachusetts! Well prepared selections with fresh vegetables!! A solid assortment of Malaysian, Chinese, Thai and Filipino food including dim sum and soup dumplings. I felt we were being served food they would eat in their own home. A lifetime favorite for me, their tom kha gai was hands down the best I have ever had. The sesame chicken was tender chunks of chicken with a thin coating - not tiny chicken in thick coating as many others are. Their fried rice was light, fresh tasting and delicious! Super yumsk!

We're from New York. The reviews were great so we checked out the menu and gave it a try. For appetizers we had chicken satay and steamed pork dumplings. Both were very good. For mains we had Phat Prik Khing and the Curry Potato Chicken. Both very flavorful. The curry was Malaysian so it had a different flavor than Thai curry. I liked it. Staff very friendly and attentive. Nice portions. We took food home.

I recommend the soup dumplings and pineapple curry!

We decided to try Monsoon Bistro 2 weeks ago on Halloween night where we were greeted by Ann who was joyfully giving out candy to the Mall trick or treaters.
She happened to be our server and was so incredibly personable and knowledgeable offering insight on the diverse menu without being overbearing.
We enjoyed every dish from the dumplings to entrees and every thing in between.

We were visiting from CA and happened upon Monsoon, which was the closest Asian restaurant to our hotel. To our surprise, the food was delicious, fresh and had the exact amount of spice we wanted (which is spicy). The service was excellent and the manager took the time to chat with us about our experience. This is a relatively new restaurant with chefs from NY. The ambience is great. The bar made us a perfect martini. We will definitely come back the next time we are in the area.

I cannot wait to come back here! Both the tofu and the chicken satay were to die for, so flavorful and the peanut sauce is homemade and delicious! The fried wonton strips at the beginning are my favorite type of wontons and it’s always a positive sign if a restaurant serves those. I highly recommend the garlic pork soup dumplings, and my partner really enjoyed the plain pork soup dumplings. Our waitress Ann was so kind and very helpful when it came to the menu. My only complaint is minor, the pot of tea we were served had loose tea leaves without some sort of strainer so the leaves ended up in our tea cups. Other than that, we truly loved this restaurant!

My girlfriend and I enjoyed an early dinner here. The service staff was very friendly and social. The house salad was $6 and had chicken on it with sweet ginger dressing. The jumbo shrimp appetizer was crunchy and delicious. The shrimp with vegetables in brown sauce was delightful.

Don't be fooled by the fact that this place is in the mall, it's a legit delicious treat and worth the trip to Holyoke for. The soup dumplings and dim sum were perfect and the masaman curry and roti canai were just as good. Super friendly and attentive staff explained all the nuances eating and enjoying soup dumplings and had great recommendations. They are located on the Macy's side, were the Ruby Tuesday was so they basically have their own entrance, you really don't have to go in the mall but for a second. Great place, hope it sticks around for awhile cause no one is currying like that local to our area

Food was amazingly delicious, clean and fresh. We tried a variety of soup dumplings, chicken wing and satay tofu and they were all made to perfection.
Our server Anna was a total sweetheart and great with my kiddos. She was quick, and made sure our table was cleaned up and even got us fresh side plates after our first ones got a bit messy.
Lastly, the restaurant itself was super clean and pleasant to be in. The tables were set up with care, floors, cups and dishes, and bathrooms all clean.
10/10 recommend and will be coming back soon!

We ordered five dishes between two of us, and everything was incredibly fresh and unique tasting. The tom kha gai soup was in itself a work of art.
We'll come back to the mall just for this restaurant. It will be worth the hour drive simply for the variety of soup dumplings.

Easily one of the best restaurants in the mall if not in the Holyoke area our server Ann very attentive and corky just put the place needed. I got an espresso martini and it was amazing. We also got two Thai teas which were on point . Went with to Chinese Classics, the sesame chicken in the general Taos chicken. Monsoon bistro also offers Malaysian and Thai food 10 out of 10 would recommend!

I'm extremely confused how this place is rated 4.9. I'm willing to go as far as to say there is either a promotion I'm not aware of to give 5 stars for something or many are just fake in some way. There's just no way it would go from what we just ate to even 3 stars based on what day you eat there. Only three reviews under 4 stars? No way.

My response to the owner: if you are unable to provide good takeout, don't serve it. Everything we ordered, fried calamari/squid included, we have ordered takeout elsewhere and it was good. Your excuse also does not cover the other 3-4 things wrong with your food. Anyone who has cooked broccoli could tell my order they were cooked almost twice at long as needed. Broccoli does not become mush in a takeout container. I'd make less excuses and improve quality control. I don't live here and will not be back.

They have soup dumplings! The server (Ann I believe) is very knowledgeable and kind. She always has recommendations that are on point. Lunch prices are reasonable and portions are perfect for me. Going to make this a regular place for me. Get their Thai Iced Tea.

Fantastic food! Wonderful staff! Hubby & I stopped in for lunch while waiting for LensCrafters, at the suggestion of the LC employee. Hubby has a severe onion allergy and the staff went above & beyond to ensure a safe & enjoyable meal! We ordered the soup dumplings (5stars) and informed our server of the allergy. The owner went so far as to call the weekly chef who makes these speciality items to check for any allergens. ♡ Will absolutely be returning for more delicious food! Thank you!

Ordered General TSO for lunch, and the prepared chicken tossed in sweet and sour sauce. They tossed in a few peppers to try to spice it up; it didn't work - they didn't even break open the peppers a bit, so it was chicken drenched in sweet and sour in the end.

The server wrote up the order correctly according to the check.
Also, she was very nice and attentive.

I won't be going back since they don't know the difference between General TSO and sweet and sour.

Fantastic restaurant - just discovered it today. Really good drinks, unique & delicious foods (can’t get soup dumplings anywhere else nearby!), and very friendly waitstaff. Will definitely be back. They’re hidden away in the old ruby Tuesday’s at the back of the mall by the Macy’s, so I think they’ve struggled a bit to get going, but I highly recommend people give it a shot!

The inside is nice… run of the mill type of restaurant. I tried this please due to the 65-5 star reviews. 100% rating I surly need to try this! Sadly I’m going to say each one of those reviews never has had real, or good Chinese food period!. I spent around 60-ish dollars on some common foods, and not one of them was good! The chicken I can’t tell if it’s real or fake.. I’m not sure. The sauce was horrid. Thin, and not much flavor. Rice was not exactly what I ordered but was ok..the best out of the items ordered. The noodles tasted like they were old, or something was just not right. Honestly had more of an industrial flavor, which I understand is hard to describe. The flavor was just not good. Now, I’m learning each place has its own flair for the taste or recreation of these foods. I have to say, Kiyomi, and Master Chef are still the best… Not including that place by Westfield Air Force base, I still have to try them. North China is 10 times better, but on the bottom of the list for comparison! The staff was nice… I don’t have anything bad to say about them, they did their job. The food is horrid! Like I’ll never go there again horrid and my stomach feels off next day type of food I never want again horrid. Sorry to say, all the thumbs down on this.

This family owned restaurant excels on service and cuisine. The chicken wraps are outstanding, the chicken skewers were excellent and the Crystal Shrimp Dumplings, Pork Shu Mai, & Shrimp Shu Ma were delicious.

GREAT FOOD, SERVICE , ATMOSPHERE

Wow, wow, wow. I was skeptical when I saw the low prices, but this place is amazing. The Shanghai dumplings were incredible and this is the only place I've found that can actually do Peking Duck. Nice drink choices as well.

Really good Asian fusion place with great staff and bright environment. Service is really fast and presentation is nice too.

We've been in Western Mass for about 8 years and this is definitely the best experience at an Asian restaurant we've visited. Relaxing environment, diligent service, clean, welcoming to families with young children and the food was high end at a reasonable price.

Eat here if you like eating! I mean absolutely divine! The staff was so nice and kind too! Along with the taste and presentation of the food 😍😍😍 Not to mention the quiet and peaceful atmosphere.

Super fast and friendly service. Comfortable, casual, warm atmosphere- neither refined nor romantic. I had a simple light dinner of wonton soup and crispy duck salad. Soup lacked vegetables except a bit of lettuce, but the broth was tasty and wontons had a nice flavor and texture combo with pork and shrimp. Salad ingredients were fresh and well prepared with a nice dressing. Availability and knowledge of mixed drinks was somewhat limited but adequate. Extremely affordable and worth a visit!

I had heard of this place from a Facebook posting. I was looking for some quality Asian food which I have not found out here in a while. It is literally a hidden gem in the Holyoke Mall (it is next to the 99 restaurant). The ambience is beautiful. We were greeted immediately by the staff. Our server, Anne, was extremely helpful when it came to ordering. I was not disappointed when it came to the Tofu Satay. It was creatively plated and delicious. Very different than what I have seen at other places. I got the Pad Thai with a duck option. Best Pad Thai I have had recently. The Mango chicken is a must as well. Lots of vegetarian options as well. I can not wait to go back. I have been told to try the Mango sticky rice for dessert next time I am there. I will leave room for it next time! Prices were very reasonable.

Just had the chance to try out Monsoon Bistro tonight and it was absolutely wonderful. The staff were so kind and accommodating and the food was great. Ani and Niy were amazing to my friend and I. :) I look forward to visiting again in the future and I very much recommend this place to anyone considering trying it. Well worth it! Thank you!!

Comfortable atmosphere, excellent service and food is outstanding!!! Stopped here for lunch and we were pleasantly surprised. We ordered a variety of apps and entrees to share and everything was wonderful!
There isn’t enough that can be said about the service, really nice people both attentive and friendly.

Great new restaurant at the mall! Actually had no interest in trying the restaurant out at first but when walking by the owner greeted us and shared a menu. Right off the bat I was intrigued and needed to try. Great cocktails and amazing dumplings. Food was all around amazing and wonderful service. 10/10 recommend.

Try the soup dumplings. They are AMAZING.

My family and I love coming here. Today, Ann even taught my little one how to use the sticks to eat.

This place is great. They have an app so you can order without calling, which is a plus for me. You earn points on your order so basically you have a free appetizer next time you order. The food is incredibly delicious, and the menu is extensive, between Chinese, Thai and Malaysian cuisines. Great addition to the Holyoke mall, and I will be going back for sure.

Excellent food and service. We were greeted as soon as we walked in the door. The staff is very friendly and informative. Authentic cuisine. I had the Thai Crispy Chicken. Lightly breaded, crispy and tender chicken. Very generous portions. I highly recommend them. I will be going back soon.

Solid all-around dining. These are great people, serving great food! The Roti Canai is top notch. Loved drinks and the pineapple curry. A delightful menu to explore on multiple visits.

It's rare when a restaurant hits it out of the park for flavor on all food dishes ordered. Excellent flavor and food. We will return.

Absolutely incredible Chinese cuisine you don’t wanna miss out on every experience I have here keeps me coming back for more today I ordered the steamed and pan fried pork dumplings along with monsoon special fried rice which consists of mixed veggies, shrimp and peaking duck my all time favorite. This new restaurant is the best spot in Holyoke for Chinese by far. Monsoon Bistro also has an incredible Malaysian style and Thai food section included in there menu and a full bar with lots of incredible cocktails I’ll be back very shortly 🤩 cannot wait to try more items on the menu.

We enjoyed the food we ordered it was very tasty. We ordered egg fried rice, spring rolls, soup dumplings, lo mein. We thought everything had good flavor and they were very nice during pick up. It wasn’t very busy when we went but it was a weekday and we enjoyed our experience.

Location: Old Ruby Tuesdays, next to Ninty Nine on second floor. MUST TRY the jumbo shrimp. Mango Chicken was a great dish as well. Great soup dumplings.

I really recommend this place! Firstly, the service was really nice. Krystal, our server, was super friendly. Plus another woman, though I never got her name, explained to us the cuisine and was very kind. Our food got out quickly, and it was all so delicious. My recommendation is the Beef Pad Thai and the Roti Canai.

The very Best DIM SUM I've had in western Mass. Monsoon Bistro is the only place I've seen have authentic shanghai soup dumplings, I've been searching for years.

Pekin duck is succulent and savory, the food is a MUST Try so much more than you local take away.

I went with my wife and 2 young kids and although they did not have a kids menu, our waitress Ann was super friendly and welcoming to us. The food had lots of fresh ingredients. We received an appetizer of their signature dish to try, pecking duck. That was my first time having duck and it was delicious! A nice sweet teriyaki like flavor wrapped in steamed pancakes with freshly cut cucumber and scallion. After our first bite my wife and I decided that would be our go to dish. We also tried the drunken noodles, Mee-Sian and chicken and broccoli. Everything was delicious. I didn’t know initially but you can change the spice level of your dish so there is something for everyone here. The food was not greasy and the ingredients were high quality. We will definitely be back to try more dishes as we barley touched the surface as to what monsoon bistro has to offer. This is a restaurant that was needed in this area and I am happy to say that I cannot wait to come back!

I didn't expect this level of service at a mall based restaurant! I was greated by the host who was dressed in a black suit, it was apparent that he is a seasoned professional. Once seated at the table a free entrée of Peking duck was brought to the table.

Ann, the server, was professional and very helpful with menu suggestions. The food was great and delivered quickly.

Sunday night went here food was terrific best I ever had especially around the area . So much food and smiling hostess makes it perfect.
So excited to go back I had the Mango Chicken and dumplings so scrumptious👍

We ordered beef skewers, jumbo fried shrimp, fried calamari, pineapple fried rice with pork, short ribs and a sticky rice with mango dessert, oh and the dimsum platter. I am not exaggerating when I say that this place probably has some of the best Asian quisine I have ever had. Everything that we ordered was great. Excellent service, Anne made it a very pleasant experience. I will most definitely be going back to try other items.
