Dine in options but expect some self service. It is worth it. Family operated with warm and wonderful hospitality. The ambiance is sweet and the place is well decorated and clean. This was a lucky find when I moved here. Charming, little restaurant with plenty of parking and convenient access to downtown Clinton. I Love this place.

The beautiful young lady who waited on me insisted on taking my order even though it meant they'd have to stay later. She was so incredibly nice to do that, I was very grateful! You won't find this level of hospitality anywhere else!

The food is BOMB. It's so good. Literally everything we had was delicious - I've tried a lot of Thai food, but Similan's is the best by far. The prices are super reasonable as well!

Can't beat it!

I went to buy crickets. I waited for 5 minutes without any staff being seen. I had to go to the registers at the front of the store to ask someone if they could send someone to the cricket counter. When the person arrived he was bothered that he had to count and bag the crickets.

The food is always fantastic and the owner is wonderful. My family has a soy allergy which normally means we can't eat out at Asian restaurants, but the owner has worked really hard to help us find and alter orders to compensate.

What happened to your Pho? I have been ordering it for a while with no issues but the other night I only got noodles and chicken with the broth and sauces. Typically there is fresh lime wedge and basil/cilantro and more onion. There were no veggies or herbs. The drunken chicken is still awesome though. Maybe an off night on the Pho.

The food is always fresh, flavorful, and delicious. The owner/chef is wonderful, too! Our favorites are the Drunken Noodle, Country Pad Tai, Pork Dumplings, and the Basil Fried Rice. If you haven't had their food yet, you're missing out!

Great food. 1st time ever having thai was here and you gained a fan. The freshest ingredients and the flavor is always spot on. It is pricey, but after tasting the food and seeing the effort and quailty they put in every dish, it is absoulty money well spent and love supporting local busniess. Love the peanut sauce and chili sauce. Ginger sauce is also the bomb!

This is my favorite local restaurant! Always fresh and flavorful. Consistently delicious food. The atmosphere is quiet and clean. It's a great place to invite out-of-town guests. The family who runs it is really sweet, too.

Best Thai food around! The owners are very friendly and helpful. BEST crab fried rice - we love it! And after ordering it a couple times, they suggested we try the soft shell crab tempura and it did not disappoint! Only wish we had more 😍😍

Prices went out of wack. $20 for shrimp curry and 5 small shrimp - I counted them. Tom Yum recipe changed, also. Maybe new management, new chef, or both?

Google and their web site both say that this restaurant is open at 11:30 on weekdays, but when we went there for lunch the hours on the door said they didn't open until 3:30 PM.

Great Thai food with wonderful vegan and vegetarian options. They can Make most of the dishes vegan or vegetarian... Including if required excluding fish sauce... Their currys are very tasty.. highly recommend this place for vegetarians or vegans.

We had fried calamari for a start then the best & authentic pad thai with chicken & shrimp, pineapple fried rice with shrimp & the delicious jasmine tea. This is really a must try restaurant. I absolutely love the elevation of the fried tapilia with spicy sauce. Not soggy and the fried basil is everything. Thai ice tea is not too sweet and the right balance.

Not bad. I had the generals chicken. In my opinion it needs work. The sauce is perfect, however the quality of the chicken is poor and the dish itself has too many ingredients and not enough broccoli. Dumplings were also delicious. I won't mind going back but I will not be getting the chicken again....

Love the food! We've been going here as our "go to" for years and won't stop as the food doesn't disappoint. We love the curries (red, panang, yellow, and green) and tofu teriyaki and tofu priiking. The food will not disappoint and the owner is a keeper!

I bought the vegetable pad Thai, and it came out smelling really bad like it’s been in the refrigerator for too long. It tasted how it smelt too.

2nd time visiting this place and both times person in charge was arrogant.
First time a few weeks ago, I arrived 30 minutes before closing time and got treated as if she was doing me a favor. She was the only person left and had to make the food herself. Maybe just lock the door and put closed sign?
2nd visit, this person had an attitude because I asked for a dish listed on the menu on their own website that's no longer offered. The menus at the restaurant are also outdated she mentioned and said she would have to order 20,000 menus. Is that the customer's problem? If you menu and especially the prices have changed, the customer has the right to know and not get lectured. I will be taking my business to another Thai establishment that knows how to talk to a customer.
PS: The food is decent so it's a shame to have to feel this way. Some business people forget who helps to pay the bills.

Nice decor, the food is very nicely presented, has really great flavors. Only oddity is Google Maps leads you to the back of the strip mall, which looks like a total horror show.

It had great food, but the service was not the best. I personally recommend going here just be aware of the wait time

Food was fresh but bland. My meal ws supposed to come with zucchini and chicken there was no zucchini and hardly any chicken. Server was polite but didn't understand English. Over all ok so long as your not a picky person

This is a very classy restuarant with a wide variety of dishes. The food tastes pretty great. The only criticism I might have is that the menu has quite a few spelling and grammatical errors.

Had the Sicilian duck which crispy duck over fresh veggie s and pineapple. This had a nice broth to dip the duck in. My wife had 4th shrimp bun dish which was filled with fresh shredded veggie and long noodles. We also share d a golden sampler. This is there version of a poopoo for 2. It is physically smaller than Chinese but fresh and tasty and was a bit different. Left full and happy.

My wife wanted Thai food for her birthday. Some friends of ours had recommended Similan Thai Bistro and said the food is awesome. So I ordered takeout and it was ready exactly at the time I said I would arrive. The coconut rice, the fresh vegetable rolls, the Thai rolls, vegetable tempura, veggie Pad Thai, tofu mango curry and veggie fried rice were exceptional! If you like Thai food stop going to other Thai restaurants and go here. The staff were very kind and friendly. I can’t say enough good about it. We will definitely be going back. One more note not only did I like it, my wife like it, my 16-year-old son, my 12-year-old son also loved it and that says a lot. Enjoy

The duck is awesome! Duck is hard to get right and they know how to do it. I've had it a number of times now.

They have a very good variety of vegetarian dishes with tofu and without. The decor is tasteful and the lighting is different from other places we have been too. Owner and staff is always polite and goes the extra mile. They also remember what you like to order. We get something there each week.

Similan is fantastic... we get take out at least once a week here. Never a bad meal. Try the Pad Thai, Tiger Tear, Crab Rangoon, Sushi, Chicken Satay... I could go on and on. Great people, the owners are incredible!

I went here for dinner and was disappointed. We got several different dishes and the seafood in all of them seemed to be on edge. Their sushi was sub par which makes me think maybe they should focus on their Thai cuisine instead having "fusion cuisine". The fish in the rolls was ground up, an indicator of poor quality. The flavor of the pad Thai was good with the exception of the seafood. And the crab rangoons DO NOT have crab like these reviews say. It is imitation crab.

Besides the food, the servers were very friendly, but the fish tanks looked kinda gross which bums out the atmosphere.

Please focus more on the quality of your ingredients before I come back. It wasn't all bad and everyone was nice but I don't want to pay for days old sushi.

Over 3+ visits, Similan Thai has consistently been great. The place is well decorated, the food is really tasty and the staff is very attentive to details. The price is reasonable and well worth the variety and taste of food.

Oh. My. God. As good as PF Changs, but food is even fresher here. Extensive menu. Who else gives you 5 different kinds of rice side dishes, including coconut rice for example? Nobody that's who. Fresh spring rolls are SO good! Crab rangoon actually has...wait for it...crabmeat, not just cream cheese. Lobster, salmon, great pad thai. I just cannot say enough.
