Meatless options abound at this informal 2nd-story spot, also known for its range of bubble teas.
My Thai Vegan Cafe, Boston- Chinatown.
First impressions are everything right? Well, this is not a fancy place. But you’re here to eat right?
The dishes we had were standard Thai food. Nothing remarkable however. The Pad was not very flavorful. But ingredients were fresh. The soups were delicious though.
Service is slow. Maybe a because of the holiday and short staffing. No one checked on our table if we needed extra water.
Many choices to eat in Chinatown….
This place could be better!
I'm thrilled to share my exceptional experience with My Thai Vegan Cafe in Boston. As someone who has traveled to Thailand and experienced the incredible flavors of Thai food firsthand, I can confidently say that My Thai Vegan Cafe upholds the highest standards of authenticity.
From the moment you step into the restaurant, you're greeted with warm and friendly service that sets the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The menu is filled with a wide variety of vegan dishes that are bursting with flavor and made with fresh, high-quality ingredients.
I've had the pleasure of dining at My Thai Vegan Cafe multiple times, and each visit has left me thoroughly impressed and satisfied. The flavors are bold and authentic, and each dish is expertly prepared to showcase the best of Thai cuisine without compromising on taste or texture.
Whether you're a vegan or simply looking to explore new and exciting culinary experiences, My Thai Vegan Cafe is sure to delight your taste buds and leave you craving more. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone in search of delicious vegan Thai food - you won't be disappointed!
Great hidden gem in Chinatown. The menu is comparable to most Thai restaurants but everything is vegan of course, with a variety of proteins and meat substitutes. The vegetables are noticeably fresher than usual. The tom yum soup broth is delicious and fresh. The boba tea tastes homemade (taro was great!)
I actually think it's the best thai food I have had in Boston, vegan or not. The ambience is decent, nice plants and windows, and not super crowded both times I came for dinner. Overall the vibe is friendly and relaxed. I will definitely make this a regular spot to try more of the menu.
I don’t know if it’s just what we got but the food’s pretty mid. Got the Bangkok Fried Rice and asked for it spicy and it came out only a little spicy. The fried rice lacked some flavor too. The Curry Vermicelli was somehow dry even though the noodles were covered in so much curry sauce. The veggies it came with were ok. Not sure I’d come back.
This is a fully vegan Thai restaurant located in Chinatown on the second floor. The stairs leading up to the restaurant are quite run-down and kinda sketchy. If I were the owners, I’d prioritize renovating them, as first impressions are important....
We ordered the pad thai, pad see ew, and tom yam soup. While you can’t compare them to traditional meat-based dishes, they’re decent options for vegan Thai food. The pad thai was bland, in my opinion. The pad see ew was my favorite dish of the day. Great smoky flavor. The tom yum soup felt like it was missing something and was overly sweet.
This place is a good option if you're vegan and craving Thai food, which isn’t usually vegan-friendly. However, the dishes can be hit or miss. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here, but I wouldn’t mind returning to try other dishes.
Chinatown has different cuisines to offer, and this place seems to be the only vegan restaurant in the area. I think the bird nest takes the cake. Not just the crunchy taro based nest itself, but the basil-based green curry sauce in it was delicious. If you manage to sit by the window you can get a little street view too.
The best wonton soup I've ever had in my life! We couldn't believe the taste. We were having a bit of a lazy winter day in, and it was just what we needed. The staff were lovely. They served us fresh water as we waited for our order to be ready to take away with us. The steamed dumplings were also so so good. Definitely recommend this place for delicious vegan food. Don't get discouraged by the entrance on the ground floor, which can look a bit rough. The cafe is on the floor above.
I visited My Thai Vegan Cafe two days ago with my friends, and I must say, the experience was mixed. Upon arrival, I requested a window-side table from a staff member, but he denied my request and directed us to a middle table attached to another one. This was quite disappointing and affected our initial impression.
The food was good, which is a redeeming quality for the cafe. However, the service etiquette left much to be desired. The ambiance was average, nothing particularly noteworthy.
Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience, especially fellow Indians who might value a bit more attentiveness and hospitality.
Great vegan options, and sooo many vegan boba tea flavors! Every time I'm in the area I order a bunch so I'll have left-overs, that's how good it is.

We got pad kee mao and pad see ew for takeout and both dishes came with literally no sauce (a little chili sauce on the pad kee mao maybe?) and pad thai rice noodles instead of wide noodles. The soup and dumplings were solid and the food was edible, but this was so disappointing and bland. I hope their dine in service is far better.
Very basic place with minimal atmosphere. But the food is good, and the service is fine.
Hidden gem with a beautiful view of Chinatown and downtown Boston. The food is excellent and the service speedy. Highly recommend the Lo Mein with veggie beef!
Love this spot. Amazing boba!
The Thai green curry with imitation duck was delicious.
Great seafood noodle soup.
I know the family that runs this restaurant, they’re nice people.
Tasty and highly affordable food.
Keep in mind it’s Thai food, not Chinese food so the flavours are still going to be mostly sweet and savory, minimally fried and fresh spring vegetables.
If you want something heavier, you can get their imitation meat with the applicable menu options.

We are visiting Boston for the new year and decided to try this place out! I’m a huge foodie and I’ve been a server for a decade. I’ve never been so disappointed on both fronts. The food is mediocre, oily, and lackluster in flavor, while tasting like stale oil, as if made many days ago. The service, with one server for 25 tables, is a recipe for disappointment. I’m very forgiving for bad service, but this was one of the worst restaurant experiences I’ve ever had. It’s a holiday weekend so I’ll give them that, but it’s so disappointing. We sat for 1/2 hour before even getting water. Tables all around us getting ignored, and food coming out at all different times was also strange. I tried correcting something that didn’t come out as the menu stated, and they weren’t having it. I will always support a small vegan business, but I’ve had much better Thai food at non vegan restaurants back home. Furthermore, the place is so dirty, the bathrooms are disgusting and ceiling fans in the dining room are coated with oil and dust. I’ve never written a bad review before, or a review at all even, and this was rough. We sat here for another .5 hour waiting for even the check or the offer of boxes, since all our plates are still full. They use toasts so I just wish they’d drop a check for us to scan so we can leave. I’m writing this while waiting for the server, I may die here in this chair..lol we feel trapped because we can’t even pay.
So hungry for money that you don’t stop taking tables or make a wait list so people get good service¯\_(ツ)_/¯
My favorite restaurant of all time I come here every time I’m in Boston and in not even vegan. Amazing nice staff that always are helpful and kind. 10000% reccomend!

I thought it’s a bit expensive but quite tasty. Very very inqcessible
Food - bad
Service - worst
Integrity/ Honesty - ZERO
Highly disappointed with food, service, and above all honesty. Online they showed a menu which is less pricey but when I went to pick up the food they charged me more. Then the owner said he is sorry as the menu is not updated online.
If you can not trust a person for speaking honestly about the price of the food, how can one trust the food.
NEVER EATING THERE again.
It seems that some of the reviews below have been written in AI, so keep reading for the REAL review.
My partner and I visited Boston from the UK a couple of weeks ago and this place was near our hotel, so we headed there. From the outside it looks closed, but we went up the scruffy stairs, and were welcomed to quite a nice large cafe with lots of plants and big windows. So far so OK. The menu offers a large (maybe too large) choice, but we were served quickly and the food was nice. We were in a hurry that day so we paid and left, but made a mental note that we might return.
A few days later we did just that, and took a bit more time over our meal. Again, the food was nice enough and not bad value. However, things quickly took a downturn.
My partner took care of the bill while I went to the restroom. What I saw there was not only shocking but also potentially life-threatening. Firstly, it was really really dirty, with spiders behind the door and all sorts of crap everywhere. Half the false ceiling was missing, and - worst of all - the hand dryer below it was caked in pigeon shit. I couldn't wash my hands as there was no soap, so just rinsed them under the tap and dried them on my clothes, as I wasn't going anywhere near that hand dryer. I quickly left, feeling sick that I'd actually eaten there not once but TWICE. I showed my partner the pictures I'd taken and he went whiter than a sheet.
How any restaurant can operate with a restroom like this I don't know; they're risking their customers getting salmonella, encephalitis and more. In the UK this would be closed down immediately. It's a shame, as the food and service are good, but this one oversight will be their downfall, if it doesn't kill someone first.
Very nice vegan thai restaurant. Good size portions and speedy service.
One criticism i have is that the veggie-chicken/shrimp/etc are all made to be like meat. As a vegetarian who doesn't like meat, found this unappealing. Would personally go for the tofu if i went back. Yet i know this is personal taste hence i knocked it down one star - you might be the opposite.
Will always be one of my favorite restaurants. Don’t miss out!! Their wide rice noodles, lo mein, pumpkin curry, and crispy noodles are unreal. 😍
Bueno
I don’t know if it’s just what we got but the food’s pretty mid. Got the Bangkok Fried Rice and asked for it spicy and it came out only a little spicy. The fried rice lacked some flavor too. The Curry Vermicelli was somehow dry even though the noodles were covered in so much curry sauce. The veggies it came with were ok. Not sure I’d come back.
This was a great find in a convenient part of the city. The restaurant is up on the second floor of the building, and has a cute atmosphere. The two dishes we ordered were the Pad See Ew with tofu and the Pumpkin Curry Medley, which were both great. I especially recommend the pumpkin curry, which was the perfect autumnal curry, and served in a pumpkin. The food is also quite reasonably priced, and the service was good.
The walk up to the second floor is filfthy with what looks like years of dust collected on walls, cables etc. There was a man smoking at the door who did not make any efforts to move so I could come in or out and I came out with my clothing smelling like smoke.
The food itself was nothing to write about. Not that tasty - had lo menos which felt a little dry.
The inside of the place looks nice and i didn't eat there, however would not think I'll be back
So this restaurant is pretty run down. When you enter through the staircase, you immediately see this bad condition. It gave the impression to me as if it would be a messy living room at the same time. However, I decided to stay and ordered a papaya salad without the veggie shrimps. This salad was ok, but unfortunately not spicy as described in the menu. And strange enough, there was a piece of tofu on the plate, which I did not order. And it was not as varied as you know it from other Thai restaurants. To drink I had a soft drink and this came with a glas and this was quite dirty. Only the staff was nice, but this didn‘t convince me to return in the future.
Really wish they were stroller or wheelchair accessible. Food was good, but not as good as I remember it being years ago. Maybe that is just nostalgia. Someone I dined with asked for their dish to be very spicy and instead they put no spice at all.
I love the fake meat they use. The fake duck is my favorite, absolutely delicious.
Fun location, decent food, great vegan options
Typically I pull for vegan restaurants. I hope they do well. But this is a disappointing dining experience. I ordered two things. The Tom Kai soup that came out in 2 mins after ordering. I don’t know how they cooked it but it tasted like water spices and a few pieces of vegetable mixed together and called a soup.
Then the Paneng curry plus which came out like 3 minutes after ordering. They put the rice bowl inside the plate and therefore the bottom of the rice bowl was sticked with the curry. Why would you do that?
The tofu was hard and chewy, and was barely warm. Some of the vegetables were clearly canned vegetable. The vegetables had no curry taste but more like mixed with curry and here you go.
Overall one of the worst Thai food restaurants I have been to. They just mixed stuff together and called it cooking.
If you are vegan, you are better off just going some good Thai restaurants with vegan options. 29 dollars for this awful food!
The menu is absolutely huge, so much to choose from with numerous mock meat options. Maybe not the best Thai food I've had but still very good, wouldn't hesitate to recommend for vegetarians
The food is really well served and the food comes quickly! I definitely recommend it to who is vegan! The atomshere is nice with banyoneeautiful aloe vera plants! It feels kinda homey, like home away from home!

Delicious food and a very broad menu - and everything on it is vegan. So many items to choose from - what a delight for vegans like us to have a hard time choosing what to order. We had a great lunch with friends who definitely are not vegan and they thoroughly enjoyed their meal. Highly recommended.
Restaurant would have been nice since we were looking for vegan dining. However, the food was just not that great. Moreover, both of us got very sick from the food a day after we ate there.
The food was absolutely delicious and the staff super kind! Please do not let the building discourage you to enter. The restaurant in itself is very clean and has a welcoming atmosphere:) It is really a hidden gem and I can not recommend it enough.
Awesome custom Jain food. Very nice service.
Amazing place, been here for a long time! They are vegan only with fake-meat options. The vegi meats are delicious and textures are amazing! I would recommend basically anything but get it with the 'plus' option, this gives you all the different vegi meats options so you can try them all! I got the Rad Nar Plus. The sauce is super flavourful. I can't wait to go back! Also bubble tea is amazing here!!!
A great restaurant for vegan dishes!
Always the best food. Real flavors. Non vegans are always happy as well. Endless flavor. I keep coming back for more.
Really disappointing. Food didn’t taste fresh, couldn’t understand what the server was speaking, ambience was very bad as well. Miss on all front
I am surprised by the high ratings for this place and it’s clear that these reviews are either fake or AI generated. The food was quite an insult to vegan Thai food and the place was kind of shady. My experience was quite horrible and I don’t recommend this place for any food.
Food quality is decent. Elaborate menu!
"I'm not mad, I'm disappointed" is how I feel about this place. As a vegetarian dating a meat eater I was hoping this experience would show how versatile vegan food could be. The Pineapple fried rice LACKED flavor! Vegan does not have to equal bland but that is what we experienced. Also FYI, the restaurant is on the second floor and I did not see an elevator (I could be wrong here).
Delicious vegan food. Lots of options.
One of my favorite vegan spots in Boston. I make sure to visit every time I’m in town. The food is delicious. Don’t be deterred by the location. The whole menu is worth it.
I ordered three different plates of food from this place, I had it delivered from Uber eats. I was sick all day and I only ate a very small portion of each meal. They were all terrible! I kept the food and called for four days trying to speak with someone for a refund and every day they said the manager was not there. $50 down the drain. I had the curry noodles, which had no flavor of curry, the mango salad which tasted like unripened mango soaked in vinegar and the clean triangles which were so dry. I love Thai food and NOTHING tasted like Thai. Don’t waste your money here. The pictures are what I had after I tried to eat some, as you can see they’re full.
High quality Thai staples and other dishes with excellent vegan chicken, vegan shrimp, and other proteins. The noodles were well marinated and had a good bouncy texture, and the fried stuffed triangles were delicious. Minor issue is that a friend ordered wonton soup and the wontons were undercooked.
The Bird Nest dish was absolutely amazing, one of the best things I've ever tasted in my life. Loved the crispiness of the shredded taro nest combined with the savory juiciness of the green curry basil sauce. I eat Thai curries routinely and have never had green curry like this. It was so delicious. I loved that the veggies were plentiful and it had two types of fake meat too.
Good tasty vegan/vegetarian food with lots of options to choose. Not very friendly place for families with strollers as this place is on the 2nd floor with no elevators. Prompt service but average ambience. Nearby public parking lot is available.
Went looking for a vegan restaurant while traveling and found this spot, it was perfect for lunch!
Very extensive menu of a wide range of vegan options. The yellow curry was good but not amazing. The spice labels were a little misleading. Would be curious to try other curries.
This is the best vegan food I've ever had. I was initially skeptical because the menu listed dishes like "beef" and "chicken," but after confirming everything was plant-based, I gave it a try. The dim sum, Pad Thai, lo mein, soup, and wontons were all amazing and delicious. If you enjoy spice like I do, ask for their Thai hot sauce—it’s a must!
The curry was watered down. The pad see ew just tasted like watered down soy sauce. The tofu dish tasted like cornstarch slurry. I love Thai food but this has to be the worst Thai food i have eaten. It’s not even because it’s vegan. I have had great vegan food. None of us could finish our food. We just wasted our money. You know when the food is bad, when we bought food from another place right after.
We had a lovely lunch here with a great view. The dumplings were AMAZING what a great lunch deal :)
Yukk unhygienic place - food quality is MINUS - big veggies cut, uncooked brocolli, no suffiecient curry(when you order curry ).
Extremely poor service. Rude 'Chinese' people(very typical). We were party of 10. We reached at 8:15 and at 8:30 they said they will take last order.
1. Chinese lady and small fat sweaty chinese boy " Started Picking Our Plates" at 9pm while we were eating.
2. Switched off fans and gave bill and asked to pay asap. Its open till 10pm on weekdays but they were in hurry to close the place.
FYI no one understands English. You have to order by numbers in menu.
3. They dont wear mask and spit while talking(unhygienic place).
I wish they wear mask and update timings on website and value customers.
Could give them minus stars.
The dumplings and the birds nest were really delicious. My wife had the lo mein with “shrimp” and it was fine. The miso soup was very good. As a vegan looking for options this was really good. As compared to other Chinatown restaurants it was good not great but 5 stars for creativity
Pad see ew was good but the Vietnamese iced coffee was full of sugar. When I asked for it to be replaced staff was rude and gave me the exact same drink
favorite place in Boston. Delicious and affordable food!

Overall, I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone looking for a pleasant dining experience, especially fellow Indians who might value a bit more attentiveness and hospitality.
I wanted to like it. Based on the reviews, I avoided the green curry... But avoid the pad Thai as well. I have never had pad Thai that had raw bean sprouts, raw chunks of white onions, and served with a sweet and spicy sauce. The wontons, and the way they cooked the "meat" was tasty, but that was not pad Thai. That was... Something.
Awful food, dirty place and rude waiters
So many negative aspects to this place.
1. Poorly maintained interiors. No AC.
2. Food has been bland, drowned in sauce or oil.
3. Vietnamese coffee was extremely sweet & strong to the point of being acidic.
4. Woman with bangs & glasses is crude and unprofessional.
Will never return again.
This place has so many different options, the service was fast and friendly, and they have amazing drinks like bubble tea! I went around 5pm on a Friday and it was not busy at all. Staff were all very nice and welcoming and the service was fast. The menu has literally dozens of options for all types of dishes, and they have veggie chicken, duck, beef, shrimp, and tofu! So many great options and the pad Thai was excellent. They have drinks such as bubble tea with so many flavors, the mango one was so good! I got it without the bubbles and it was definitely thicker like a smoothie but it was delicious and cooling. The restaurant is upstairs on the second floor if stairs are an issue. Great place with a huge variety!
The opposite of fine dining but grateful that there are Asian vegan options in the area. Their menu items seem to be highly processed with heavy seed oils, food coloring, and msg. The facility itself was off-putting due to lack of maintenance and cleanliness. No AC. Service was nonchalant and rude. Paid parking in garage.
I ordered the Penang curry. The curry itself was fine. I was very impressed with the vegan duck, however.
Amazing restaurant!!! We were here for the food and I loved the apps and the main course meals (we ordered pad ke mao and the garlic tofu). If I lived any closer I would be back at this place on a weekly basis. Also they serve vegan bubble tea, which was truly amazing. I highly recommend for vegans/plant-based food lovers to come by and have a meal at this place!!!
Seating: plenty of seating during off hours. The place wasn’t that crowded considering we went during 4th of July, when there was barely anyone in the city.
Staff: the servers are direct, would have given them a 5/5 for service if the staff was warmer to us.
Green curry was nowhere near what it should be, extremely thin and oily curry with with some colour/dye that left an obvious blue stain on the tofu and vegetables.
Pad Thai was basically unflavoured noodles served with peanuts. Service is uncommunicative and somewhat rude.
The only good thing was the tom yum soup.
The green curry was more blue than green. The Pad Thai was just sticky noodles, no spices or flavour. The soup was the only good thing on the menu. There was constant noise made while the server was collecting and cleaning other dishes in the restaurant which made it a very disturbing atmosphere. The service was fast.
Super good food! To me even tho I'm vegetarian the chicken and lobster substitute were a bit weird and could even be removed/replaced with tofu
Excellent food Vegan in the town! I love it
The food was delicious, and I felt great after eating here.
It's the best vegetarian restaurant in Boston!
Poor service, not good quality food
Food was edible but not great. I was brought my soup and main dish within two minutes of each other. Both were not hot enough. No one understood my requests. Very disappointed.
Second floor, surprisingly large restaurant space, with an AMAZING menu that features all sort of creative vegan Thai dishes!! Anything you would want at a normal Thai restaurant can be bought here but without the animal products! The Yellow Curry was delicious.
We had the pad kee maw noodles, dumplings and green curry and were a little disappointed. I’ve been to many Thai restaurants before, but have never had a green curry dish with barely any curry (see the picture). The curry also had some artificial green color. The service and ambience were good, but the food was a disappointment overall.
Great place wonderful food nice people
Genuinely the nastiest food I’ve ever had. I’ve never left google review and likely never will again - that bad.
Wouldn’t recommend. Very basic eatery with sub-par food and even worse service. Dined in with my family and was serviced by an older person who was hostile to begin with towards us. The Green curry was served without any protein and very little sauce. Furthermore the sauce was sweet. When I pointed it out, he defensively proclaimed that this is “how it is done for 20 years”. I don’t think that the food is freshly cooked, but pre-prepared and served to customers. When we pointed out that the green curry, which was supposed to have tofu, didn’t have any tofu, the old man point to the dish and tried to show us the tofu (which wasn’t there.) We had to literally argue with him to send it back. Ambience was very basic with nothing to write home about. None of the staff even have the courtesy to apologise. Suffice to say, we left quickly. Management: better fix your food, ambience, and customer service standards before you guys fold up and 20 years of your effort goes down the drain.
Excellent customer service <3
Fresh boba
Good views and nice plants inside
The wontons were very good 💯
I ate here tonight and can not believe how bad this was! The fresh rolls tasted about two weeks old, and that is not an exaggeration; they were completely inedible. I spit the second bite out and am crossing my fingers I didn't get food poisoning from the first bite. The pad kee mao was just grease and red pepper flakes and no other flavor at all, no veggies besides onions and only two pieces of eggplant which were both undercooked, so also inedible. I ate some of the noodles and then threw everything away. A complete waste of $23. I'm so disappointed.
Got wonton soup and lo mein plus. Would def come back!!! Excellent service
Was really bad actually went and was confused because reviews were good
I lived in Boston in 2009, haven’t been back to visit for about 7 years but I still think about this place and daydream about Bangkok fried rice every now and then. I might have to make a visit to Boston (from Europe) just for that one day. Please keep them in business until then!
Vegans don't have a lot to choose from in Boston, so it's nice to have a restaurant with such a large all-vegan menu. At the same time, a large menu is often an indication of mass-produced dishes, and I suspect that's the case here.
Once ordered, our food came out of the kitchen very quickly. The wrappers on the fresh rolls were stuck together (pre-cut well in advanced). The peanut sauce seemed commercially produced and was meh.
For my main meal, I ordered dish 102 which was a mock beef curry. Our server commented, "good choice" and it was tasty. However, it didn't come close to having "three pepper" hotness. Our server asked if I wanted hot sauce, which is not the proper way to heat a Thai dish. After tasting my meal, I understood why he asked.
When my husband ordered the mango fried rice, he received no positive feedback, so he joked, "What? Not a good choice?" To which the reply was, "It's just fried rice." Why not suggest something better containing mango? Not surprisingly, my husband was disappointed with his meal.
The restaurant is on the second floor, and one must climb a grubby, narrow staircase to get to the dining room. I didn't notice if there was an elevator. The view is not particularly attractive, at least in the afternoon. Maybe at night it would be better, when lights on neighboring buildings provide the scenery.
Anyway, this restaurant is OK and can be satisfying if you order the right thing. If you go in with the expectation that this is just another "factory food" place, maybe you'll enjoy it.
I ordered online. They accepted the order. They confirmed they would deliver. I waited about 30 minutes and *THEN* they cancelled. Uncool of them.
My partner and I went here for a late dinner, and I was overwhelmed with all the choices! The menu is huge, and everything sounded delicious. Our food came out super quickly, which, say whatever you want about that, but we were hungry, and I wasn't mad about it. I don't ever order wontons, dumplings, or pad Thai because those items are almost never vegan, so we ordered all those items, and it was all very tasty! The only drawback is the atmosphere: it's a huge space for a Boston restaurant, but it could use a good cleaning and some interior design updates.
The green curry is the worst I've ever had. I just ordered it today, April 25th, 2024. This is the first time I've had something so bad that I want a refund due to lack of flavor. It tastes like semi-thick water with flavoreless green food coloring. What a waste of money! Don't bother ordering from here. I am going to try to review the place on Uber Eats so that I can let everyone know how bad it is. I really, really wish I could get my money back.
My FAVORITE restaurant in Boston hands down!
Excellent service, vibe, and every single dish is so delicious, it will keep you coming back for more to try every one!
Found the restaurant from the street sign, it said it was a Vietnamese Asian cafe. We wanted to stop just for some tea as we were rushing to the train station. The staff rudely forced us to order something to eat as well so we chose two soups. It took them ages to prepare the food and it tasted very poorly. They basically served us warmed coconut milk with some canned veggies. The staff was unwelcoming, rude and the bill was too high for such a portion of sadness. In the end, we felt like idiots for stopping by. The food of others looked nice, however, I cannot recommend this place.
The moment you make it inside the actual spot, the rich aroma tells you the story about the flavor profiles you'll have in your plate. They season very well, I'm a fan of just tofu and vegetables but it's interesting to see they incorporated the veggie- chikn' or scallops and other things, so you have more to choose from than just tofu. I wish there was more vegetables in my plate though, maybe I came after it had just been too busy so they may be didn't have as many but the sauces did not disappoint and the noodles quality was pretty good!
This restaurant is so so. Not an authentic thai cafe. Ordered Tom Kha soup, the taste is not from what I had in Thailand before. Very sweet, couldn’t finish.
🔥 🔥 🔥 ❤️ 🔥 🔥 🔥
This oriental vegetarian spot offers a wide range of dishes on their menu, all nicely presented and tasty. Just a heads-up, despite any mention of meat, it's all veggie here. Prices are competitive and the servings here are generous. Lo Mein is a must-try. They take credit cards too.
The downside? It can get crowded, and the water glasses might need a bit more cleaning. Keep in mind, it's upstairs if stairs are an issue.
I love all the plants in the windows! The food is delicious and as a vegetarian it is my go-to place in Chinatown. Wish I could come more often!
Such a wonderful selection of vegan Asian favourites. Each dish we ordered was beautifully presented and very delicious. They were able to make everything without onion and garlic as I requested. Walking up you don’t realise what a nice place it is up here or how special the food is.
Chic little place in the heart of Boston Downtown. The food is absolutely worth it. Don’t go by the ambience or service. Go there for the food.
I have been going here every time I’m in Boston for about 8 years now and they have never let me down. I just realized I’ve never written a review for this awesome place before! Went back today for some delicious food and boy was it! The lemongrass chicken is to die for with this mildly spicy sauce and melt in your mouth soft “chicken” and fresh vibrant vegetables. Fluffy perfect rice as well. I haven't explored the huge menu much but I can say with certainty that the chicken dishes are exquisite. The staff is always extremely sweet as well. Thank you My Thai Vegan Cafe!
My favorite thai and vegan location in Boston!
My Thai Vegan Cafe is my go-to for thai food and vegan food. I am not a vegetarian, but their dishes are so creative, well-presented, and their staff are so incredibly friendly that I happily crave these vegan options.
Their space is surrounded by tons of plants and is an inviting atmosphere.
Definitely check out if you are in the mood for trying some excellent thai food and if you want to be inspired for vegetarian and vegan dishes!
Muy rico, todo casero, buen trato, buen ambiente. Muy barato para la calidad del lugar y la excelente comida
Sad food ! rice I ate was burnt and black. Tasteless food and bland ! Bette to walk down and eat at pho Pasteur.
incredible food in the cutest 2nd floor spot. tons of plants as decor adds a lot of charm. food was loved by our table, vegan or not. 2 staff who were likely owners were super sweet to us. food is not super salty, maybe people in the reviews confuse that for "bland" but we all loved it. sorry you need double your daily sodium in a food for it to taste good.
Extensive menu with large variety at good prices. Went during non-peak hours and got instant service and food came pretty quick! There was some form of construction happening the day I visited so lighting was dim, still enough to have a great time. Absolutely delicious food, the yellow curry dish was amazing. Big recommend!!
The service was friendly, but inconsistent. The same person who took our order didn't bring out our food or our drinks. We also had to go up to get our own check.
The food was not crazy delicious. It was sub par. The noodles weren't warm when we got them and there wasnt a lot of sauce. I'm not sure what the hype is for this place. I wanted to love it because it's fully vegan but it disappointed us.
As far as the atmosphere goes, this place was filthy. There was food all over the floors and on the counters between tables. The bathroom has no toilet paper, and the ceiling was falling down. It was really disgusting. The walkup to the second floor (where the restaurant is) smelled of urine. I hope they make improvements.
Been coming here for more than a decade and they've never disappointed.
I got horrible food poisoning from this place
The food was not so good, mostly pale, and the service was super slow.
This place had a huge menu of items to choose from. Several dishes with imitation/artificial chicken, duck, and beef. My partner had the Pad Thai which was served with bean sprouts and lime slices. I had the Massaman Curry that was fresh and zesty. The place was very busy, but service was fast and friendly. They also have a wide variety of drinks such as bubble tea. Simply delicious!
Above average food and good ambience.
Had an incredible experience here. The staff were very kind and welcoming, the spot has a great view, and the plants make the space feel cozy. Parking wasn't too difficult to find. The FOOD was the best food I have had in a long time. I came here with my partner, split 2 appetizers and 3 entrees because we just couldn't pair down the huge menu. So many options! We loved all dishes, and cannot wait to be in the city again for this reason only.
Not to mention, no wait at all, AND they deliver! Highly recommend the Pad See Ew, Golden Triangles, and Fried Wontons.
It's an absolutely gorgeous interior space with killer views, even if the entrance seems a bit sketchy at first. I absolutely loved the tofu pad see ew I ordered, particularly the savory Chinese broccoli. The Thai iced tea was also fantastic, though I'd recommend asking for reduced sweetness unless you have a major sweet tooth. Service was prompt, attentive and kind.
As a vegetarian, I find this place a gem of a restaurant in Chinatown.
Worst food quality. Really poor Thai curry.
Penang Curry was bland. No music and no atmosphere. Weirdly empty for peak time. $20 for a tasteless curry and I had to ask for cutlery!?
Food was delicious. The steamed dumplings were a favorite.
Located on the second floor, this restaurant might need some cosmetic updates, but the service and food were both excellent.
Was visiting Boston and came across this hidden gem in Chinatown. This was an authentic restaurant with reasonably priced and delicious vegan food. Service was friendly and the ambience was wonderful. We were surrounded by plants and windows with comfortable seating. I am not even vegan and I loved it.
Amazing vegan beef! Yum mango curry and pad see ew
My favorite noodles in the world, and finally, a place where I can eat everything on the menu!! With many non-spicy options !!!
It blows my mind how their vegan food can taste so good! The dishes are excellent and they have a great variety of vegan meats (obviously far from real meat but they're really interesting and quite good). We got the bird's nest and the curry in a coconut shell, which were super creative, aesthetic, and delicious!
