We Served the Food that We Love
Food is good! I wouldn’t come and sit in this restaurant because it stinks. There’s some bad odor and 0 hospitality. They didn’t even care to give water glasses even after the food arrived. They gave water after we asked at the counter. There are only few tables for seating.
Definitely recommend to-go orders as the food is delicious. We ordered spicy thai basil fried rice. The dishes can be customized based on your spice level and type of veggies you want.
First time trying here! Ordered carryout for pickup and the food was still so good when we got home to eat it! Loved the Shrimp Pad Thai! The Chicken Pad Z-Ew was good too. Their food is well flavored and the portion is generous! They even have an option to request extra sauce.
Had a really good experience here, as always. We got takeout and the food was ready even though we got there a little early.
They were accommodating to specific food allergies and the food was delicious.
We ordered Pa Ram Long Song, Pad Woonsen, shrimp and mixed vegetables, and drunken noodles.
All the dishes were good, the drunken noodles could have been a little spicier, but next time I'll just ask for more spice!
Been coming here for years for quality Thai food. This probably the best Thai restaurant in the area. Pad Thai, drunken noodle, tom yum soup or crispy duck are my favorite. Food comes out really quickly and quality is top notch. You can always request for them to add more slices. Place is really small so if you have a large group it's best to go elsewhere. Wish they had more specials place is usually dead when I pick up food, but it seems like their carry out brings in all the business
Wonderful place to have authentic Thai food. We went here based on the reviews and tried the lunch specials. They had a good choice for specials with appetizers and entrees. Panang curry was best..portions are correct. Pricing is good. Overall a good experience with family. Beware this is a small place...dont go by the looks...try the food I would say.
Nice Thai restaurant with friendly owner. I gave only 3 stars because the food is so unbalanced. Some dishes are excellent and some are un-eatable, at least for us. Perhaps these dishes are traditional Thai food that our palates are not familiar with, or perhaps they are just awful. At any rate the drunken noodles with tofu and the fresh rolls were deliscious. However I am rather frightened to try anything else.
I frequent this place OFTEN and typically I am very pleased. Nice little family owned place. Opened not one but 2 sides of rice to this. Literally scrapped the bottom of the pan. Didn't even fill to the top. Called to get an explanation as why this was thought to be acceptable. Considering this is what seems to be a small privately owned business, everything should be exceptional. Really dropped the ball. Considering the gentleman laughed on the phone means I won't be back. Very upsetting.
Added photos of rice. Even burnt rice at the bottom. If I went home instead of traveling to my friends I would go back. This is ridiculous.
I get takeout. Not a place for atmosphere.
Walked in my food was sitting on the table not behind the register. Told them I was here to pick up my food gave my name and he pointed at the food. My food was dry and had no flavor I will never order from this place again!
I guess they changed chefs. The food is very I consistent. If I order a dish today and order the same dish in a couple of days they will be totally different in taste and spice level.
I just went there today and the food was really good
I would be back there again for sure
It's been a while since I've ordered from this restaurant. Was in the area, (I live in laurel) so I decided to get dinner take out. I'm soooo disappointed. Ordered my typical pad thai and headed home. Get home, hungry and ready to eat. It was sooooooooooo horrible!! 😮💨😮💨😮💨 Taste like left overs from the prepared lunch menu...which it probably was. Also, the noodles where not the traditional flat pad thai noodle....it looked like angel hair pasta. It was flavorless, lacked sufficient amount of chicken and the list goes on! My vegetable spring rolls were absolutely disgusting, they too were old and not cooked fresh to order.I know times are tough for everyone and businesses are trying to prevent waste.
BUT, I will not compromise subpar food quality and I refuse to WASTE my money. I too work hard for my money and expect quality food at any price point. If this is what is being served to customers, I think I have to look elsewhere for Thai food!
Amazing food! Your typical hole in the wall, mom-and-pop restaurant with good service and surprisingly profoundly great food!! Including affordable lunch specials. We don't drive by here often but this family of 4 will make this location a road trip destination !!
I've ordered carryout on and off over the years since it's close by my house. I've noticed the portions have gotten smaller. Also, the worker that takes my order and rings me up seems to always be annoyed by my presence... as if he's got better things to do. I'm looking for a new Thai place.
Ordered lunch specials to go.
Beef drunken noodles and curry cashew chicken. Drunken noodles were DRY. Curry cashew chicken tasted like a bottle of ketchup was used for the sauce.
Disappointed🤷♀️
I ordered Pad see ew chicken and was left disappointed. The noodles were overcooked and did not taste like my normal order. Maybe it was an off day, who knows ? This was my first time visiting the location & I don’t think I’ll be back.
Dine in atmosphere is austere at best, but the food is excellent and authentic
Had a Togo order, not from here but the drunken noodles were delicious! The American spicy style still has a little kick, but not too much!
Love love love this place. The food always delivers. Quality Thai food, no matter what you order but I tend to stick to the Panang curry with Tofu. Sides are always great and I like to end with a mango sticky rice. The staff are always so nice too. Highly recommend.
We went here for years - pretty good Thai. Started doing carry out instead of delivery. Quickly noticed roach and mice traps in view of customers… the traps were not empty. Stopped going to this place.
The dishes can be customized based on your spice level and type of veggies you want.
great thai food, the ka pow chicken is crazy good. local family owned restaurant. great food
I haven't made it through the entire menu . . . yet!
They noodles are perfect and the curry is very good. Definitely a "go back to" place.
Extremely greasy drunken noodles, and a pad thai that tasted burnt. Not coming back here again.
Great takeout ... Green spicier curry with shrimp, red creamy curry with chicken, noodle dish, dumplings ... All great... Good portion size ... It's a simple suburban storefront, so it's not a fancy dine-in place, but pleasant enough if that's what you want... We plan to be repeat customers...
Open late, and the drunken noodles with tofu was great. I’ll be back for sure, and I’ve been to a few other Thai restaurants within 30 minutes. Fair prices too. ❤️
Comida excelente, lo único que me llama la atención es que en el local usan 2 ó 3 ventiladores en lugar de aire acondicionado.
I called to place an order for 3 things
Drunken chicken noodle
Shrimp
And egg roll
The drunken noodle is so bad and sticky praying we don’t get sick and the weather is bad for me returning it and the service was sooooooo rude
The kra pow was very good, perfect Heat level. I like that I could choose minced or sliced chicken. The place itself was cluttered with odd things like a piano in the corner and other objects taking up space. But I can excuse the clutter for delicious krap pow.
First time trying here! Ordered carryout for pickup and the food was still so good when we got home to eat it! Loved the Shrimp Pad Thai! The Chicken Pad Z-Ew was good too. Their food is well flavored and the portion is generous! They even have an option to request extra sauce.
Been eating here for years now and the food always hits the spot.
My mother’s day plan got ruined because of their carelessness! Worst customer service ever! I placed order online for 3 fried rice and 1 Pad Thai. They gave me 4 pad thai instead of what I ordered. When I went back to the restaurant they were rude saying that we made a mistake! Even after showing the receipt, they didn’t even acknowledge their fault. Later while eating we realized the chicken was undercooked as they were rushing. Never coming back.
Small local Thai place that has served better food that any other Thai place I have visited. Their fried rice is absolutely delicious, and they don't charge extra for modifying their dishes or adding extra broccoli to your meal. Absolutely recommend going to Siriwan Thai.
Update: Still an excellent Thai place, but they are a lot less consistent now. Almost like getting food from a different restaurant each time (Most times good, sometimes bad)
We ordered a foil tray for 5 servings of beef drunken noodles. It was tasty and had a good amount of beef. Due to the large volume, the noodles didn’t have the usual caramelizarion so next time we will just get it in single servings. We also got papaya salad, spring rolls, and three curries as well.
I will never come back here again after what happened tonight…
Me and my family come here sometimes twice a week. We love the food and, while the service is usually lacking, its never too much of a problem because we usually get take out. We called tonight around 6:10 and were told to show up in 15 minutes. I showed up around 6:25 and waited until almost 7:15 for the food. And its almost as if the guy was purposely hiding in the back to avoid me. I asked other patrons around when they ordered and 3 of 4 ordered after me and got their orders before me. And mind you, their order were HUMUNGOUS compared to my 3 curries. I’m disappointed because I loved this place, but they did me wrong today and acted like nothing happened. Its as if they started my order 20 minutes after i got there. I can’t in good conscience give them 1 star but I certainly wont return. The food is still good when you can get it
Meh... paid almost $15 for 4 pieces of shrimp and some rice... way overpriced...
They are worst i place an order over the phone i ask for summer roll tofu they gave me spring rolls with pork, plus i had oder tofu pathia but still add it a red meat, i had said no meet at all … all they said was yes yes yes
First time here and was very impressed with the presentation and taste of the pad Thai! The staff was very hospitable as well. Must try!
I’d give 10 stars if I could. And if I lived in the area I’d be here every week. The food tasted great and was prepared quickly, servers super attentive and happy to help. Really thrilled with a place we stopped at on a whim for dinner on a road trip. Spicy basil stir fry A+, fried dumplings (#10) DELICIOUS. Really sad this isn’t in my actual city I live in.
Good food!
Good food. We love the Thai fried rice
We used to love this place and frequent monthly. Since covid, their food changed when they reopened. New chef maybe? Nothing tasted the same as it used to. Quality also went downhill which I guess it’s why they had such good reviews before and not anymore. Hopefully they get their old chef back or something.
The man who was working the phones, the counter, and waiting on a table was not wearing a mask. No mask in sight. He went into the kitchen without a mask and talked to the kitchen staff. One of the kitchen staff was not wearing a mask properly. It was under their chin. Food could be the best ever, but I will not return to this place.
What kind of business doesn't answer the phone when you call to order or hangs up when you call? Happens ALL of the time. You just lost business my friends!
Delicious! Great service and food. Flavorful and delicious. Recommended!
Great food, great service
love this place, always have great food. my favorite is the drunken noodles. the front cashier man is nice and smiles a lot. give it a try!
The no open on time
Best thai food in the DMV dont under estimate this place, extremely authentic and the staff is amazing!
Yum!! Amazing! Ordered dinner through Grubhub and had it delivered in 1/2 the time I expected. The food was fresh-from the stove HOT and Delicious!! Drunken Noodles Pork, shrimp pad tai and shrimp Penang curry were perfect - slightly spicy for the last two and we loved it! Kids and grandma approved. Hit the spot!
Food is terrible. I was disappointed and caught off guard bc of the high reviews. I ordered the Penang curry shrimp and it was not good.
We got takeout from here and it was very good! The drunken noodles had a nice kick to them, the pineapple fried rice was seasoned well, and the pad thai was flavorful. Reasonably priced for all the food you get.
Great local Thai. Our go to.
Subpar. Rude customer service. I’m new to the area, and looking for a good Thai takeout. This is not it. The cashew nut chicken sauce was too sweet. Honestly reminded me more of Chinese food rather than Thai cuisine
The food is good and the people have been nice.
The Crispy Basil Duck was 5/5. One of the best I've had. Flavor crisp excellent. The Thai Ice Tea was 5/5. The soup great. The calamari was ..... just no... everything was great but not my style calamari. I can't wait to try new dishes.
They have good vegetarian options. I had lunch from here, and I enjoyed the Pa Ram Jae.
It’s alright, it’s not that great! The sauce itself for the appetizer was horrible too many coloring food plus water. The pad thai noodles wasn’t fresh same as drunken noodles and very spicy it should at least good amount of spices. First time to try but I wouldn’t come back to this place.
So good! My favorite is the pad thai beef! Yes!!!!
If you are looking for delicious home cooked Thai food, this is your place! The prices are good and the portions are generous. You will leave full and happy. Staff was very friendly.
Wearing masks and the staff is great. The server woman was very funny and joy to be around. The food was great.
This is probably my favorite Thai restaurant of any in the area. I've never had a bad meal here. I love that they have kids meals that are just a smaller portion of the same food the adults eat, rather than assuming kids only eat grilled cheese and chicken nuggets. My kids LOVE the satay and the shrimp cake. Our favorites are the Pa Ram Jae, the Pad Woon Sen, and the cashew chicken.
Tasty Satay and drunken noodles
very affordable and very good!!! I truly love this place.
I enjoy their lunch special
Swasdi ka! The food is delicious and the nb thai iced tea is wonderful!
Worst customer service and lack of professionalism....food is good, but not enough to eat in and tip the place for dining there. If u gonna grab food from here, then order it in advance and eat at home. Big owner behind the desk is horrible with no respect for the customers and very little English.........also, after paying for the food, they gave me someone else's order because he didn't even take the time to confirm my pick up and had to charged me twice 😡
Best Thai food you can get in the area. The owner, his name is Bang is a really nice guy and will take care of you the way you want your food. Serving size is huge compared to many other local restaurant. Very reasonably priced in fact, pretty cheap.
I frequent this place OFTEN and typically I am very pleased. Nice little family owned place. Opened not one but 2 sides of rice to this. Literally scrapped the bottom of the pan. Didn't even fill to the top. Called to get an explanation as why this was thought to be acceptable. Very upsetting.
Added photos of rice. Even burnt rice at the bottom. If I went home instead of traveling to my friends I would go back. This is ridiculous.
Came here twice with my friends, the second time I got food poisoning. Place is not very clean. After that I am never going back again. Food is alright though.
Loved this place. You really feel welcome there. The gentleman who served us was great..Thank you Sir. Food was good, and I was very pleased by the service.. though there was another gentleman in apron who kept sitting at one of the tables watching something on his phone. It seemed not very professional. But other than this every this was good. It's a small place nothing fancy but worth going for service and food..
Had Pad Thai and Sweet Melody delivered... I would give Pad Thai 3/5 taste.. it was just okay doesn't have any distinct flavor besides sweet noodle I would give Sweet Melody 2/5 just because shrimps tasted moldy.. could not eat a single piece of shrimp cuz it tasted like it had gone bad.. I don't expect a fresh seafood but I had to spit it out every piece.. other than shrimp being bad the dish was okay lil too sweet for meal maybe
I tried this place at the recommendation of my airB&B host and I was pleasantly surprised. I came in 30 mins before they were about to closely thankfully they still served my boyfriend and I. I expected a mediocre meal however what we got was the opposite. This meal was so flavorful, filled with just the right amount of spice. It was exactly what we were craving at that time. I ordered the drunken noodles and my boyfriend ordered the garlic chicken stir fry. The chicken was juicy and flavorful and my drunken noodles were cooked perfectly. Don’t let the minimal decor detour you from stoping at this hidden gem.
mind-blowingly good! not from the area and just needed somewhere for me and my fiancee to grab a quick bite and we were not disappointed. we walked in about 45 minutes before close and were still warmly greeted and given prompt service. everything was so prompt we managed to get leave 15 minutes before they actually closed! not from the area so i haven't tried many thai places ini town but this is definitely one of the best i've ever had
A great rotation of menu specials. Yes, the appearance is not very much to look at and yes, there is only one server working her butt off for both the carry out and dine-in costumers, but the food is delish! I appreciate the slight variation in the final outcome from the various times I've eaten here. It is consistent with fresh food cooked when ordered. It's good to experience the slight inconsistency, it reminds me of the human effort being conducted in the kitchen. Everything in the past seven times that I have eaten here has been true Thai in nature and always tasty. Be patient. You'll still eat sooner than if you were cooking it for yourself!
Decent food that is reasonably priced. However, place is run down, not clean and service is non existent. Not bad overall but not as good as its reviews indicate.
Very good thai restaurant. Services was a little alow, but nice people and good food.
Amazing food, fav place to eat
Love the food, interior is a bit small and run down, but the people are nice and the food is amazing!
Siriwan opening was one of the best things to ever happen to the Cloverly shopping center. The food is consistantly delicious, the staff friendly, and the atmosphere is casual.
The menu is chock full of Thai restaraunt regulars. Curries, stir fries, and lots of spice.
The staff greet regulars like old friends. If you have any dietary requirements they are willing to make acommodations, vegan/low FODMAP/etc.
Great tasting food. My entire family enjoyed our lunch there.
They have great lunch specials and food is amazing.
Visited for the first time at lunch. Enjoyed the spring rolls and drunken noodles with a Thai iced tea. My friend said the chicken Pad Thai was delicious and needed a box to take home leftovers due to the large serving. Recommend if you want a casual place with friends or family.
I have been eating the great delicious Thai dishes at Siriwan for a few years and have never been disappointed. It is great for dining in and take out also. The staff is very friendly and attentive to your needs.
Had take out from this place last night. It was close by and was highly rated. This was not my experience. For Thai food, it was not very tasty. We ordered drunken noodles with chicken, beef and shrimp (3 separate orders), the tom ka kai soup, fried wontons, and thai fried rice, and sticky rice with mango. None of the dishes had good flavor. It was no where near the good flavors I expect from Thai food. The drunken noodles tasted of burnt food. The mango was over ripe and about a day away from going bad. The fried wonton were virtually flavorless.
Tasty food and reasonable prices. Good for pickup
After reading the reviews I decided to give this place a shot! I ordered chicken panang curry and mango sticky rice over the phone to go. I was a bit concerned when they didnt ask the spice level (but I like spicy) or say how long it would be. But the food was fantastic!!! The spiciness was perfect, enough to give the flavor a kick but not enough to leave my lips burning for hours. The curry had great flavor, and more chicken than I expected. The mango sticky rice was also perfect, with a very generous portion of rice and mango for the price. I do wish it had a bit more sauce, but was perfect sweetness. Will definitely go back and try more items!
Good service. Delicious food.
It's a cute place and they serve great Thai food. You get the choice of chili hotness that you like. Services are quick and staffs are very friendly. Vegetarian food is available.
2 locations, fam owned, best homemade foods
We are a frequent customer to Siriwan as in at least once a week and sometimes more. The service is always great and the food is awesome.
I came here due to the ratings and I was craving for some Thai food. I ordered pad thai and pineapple fried rice. The pad thai was way too sweet. And the pineapple fried rice's base taste is curry?! I double checked the menu to make sure I didn't mis-read it. You would think that they would specify that curry is used in the pineapple fried rice. I have had better Thai food. So I am still searching for a better Thai restaurant closer to where I live. My old spot used to be Fuji San in Cockeysville. They serve some mean Thai food.
Great sushi and Thai dishes.
Best Thai takeout in White Oak area.
The food is excellent.
We ordered fried chicken for appetizer, Tom kai pa soup, shrimp pineapple fried rice and shrimp red curry with extra carrots. The soup was a little too sour for my taste. Everything else was really good. Price was reasonable. One of the better Thai restaurants between DC and Baltimore.
Although it’s small portions, but it’s full with flavor
Uhhh u should try this place the food is very good
😍😍😍😍😍😉😋😋😋😋😋
My "go to" Thai lunch special: Tom Kaa, Penang Curry, and an order of sticky rice with mango. Absolutely delicious!!
Favorite Thai place, I come here VERY often. A few occasions my dishes have been mixed up, when super busy, or I have waited a decent amount of time for carry out but it happens. Might help to have a few more staff working, especially on weekends. Great Thai tea as well! Decor is nothing special but who cares. Food is consistently awesome, that's what matters.
Nothing fancy; small and not beautiful, but the food was great, and I will definitely be coming back!
Good local authentic Thai. Not fancy but consistently good eating and pleasant informal service.
Good food. I like the pineapple fried rice.
drunken noodle was great, green curry was slightly under seasoned. Service is fast and polite.
We were headed to Lin's Chinese food right next door, but that restaurant didn't look very appetizing. Sirwan, on the other hand, was excellent. The food was expertly prepared and tasted great. We did take out and it was ready sooner than the 15 minutes they promised. A couple of observations by my kids: the coating on the chicken in the cashew chicken was a bit hard (overcooked or too thick). And 6 shrimp was a couple too fewer than she hoped for that entree.
Loved it. Quiet. Good food.
Decent food
If you're looking for fast, professional service, or a fancy sit-down place, Siriwan is not for you. I enjoyed their relaxing, friendly atmosphere very much. Siriwan is a lovely little family-friendly restaurant where you get inexpensive Thai food that tastes great!
Good Drunken Noodles and Pad Thai!
The food here is excellent every time. The staff is really nice too! This is my favorite Thai food in all of MD. Get the cashew chicken, you won't regret it
Love The Pad See Ew
Great Tom yum, basil noodle, and often green curry.
Good Thai food. Spicy eggplant with shrimp or tofu is one of the best Thai dishes in the DC area.
This is hands down my favorite restaurant. My best picks? The Drunken noodles and the Pad Z-ew. I always get summer rolls (hold the shrimp for me) and just tonight ordered the Sticky rice with mango. Absolutely amazing. Forget the other Thai restaurants. This is top notch quality, coming from a transplant Mexican still looking for a quality Tex-Méx restaurant around here.
Food is consistently very good. Only complaint would be for the seating area to be improved, as it is borders on feeling like just a take out place.
The food was excellent. I had the shrimp in clay pot and enjoyed that it was properly cooked and not overly spicy. My friend had a variety of appetizers and really enjoyed them.
Local Thai, but onenof the best around.
Nice
Good food, cozy atmosphere
This place had spoiled me for Thai. It's wonderful Thai food for a great price. I hate going anywhere else and overpaying for Thai. I just end up wishing I had come here.
Always good food and great service.
Very good, local restaurant. Yummy thai food!
Good food, and not crowded
Fried rice was wonderful. Too bad I live 40 minutes away.
This place has some of the best thai food I have ever had in my life. Im not a big fan of Asian food but ever since then my boyfriend brought me to this place I never stopped coming. Their service is super friendly and kind with everyone and the owner is very polite as well. Very good place to eat, I would definitely recommend it.
The pineapple fried rice is actually pretty good but I haven't been wowed by anything else. No one has ever greeted me hello, said please, or thank you. My 2 orders of fried rice and drunken noodles was 36 bucks and in the 5 times I've ordered pick up it's never been ready. They say 20 minutes and then I arrive 20 mins later only to wait 20 mins. Yup I'll drive the extra 10 mins each way and order from Zen.
My family loves ordering from this restaurant because the food is delicious! They recently re-did the interior of their restaurant so now it looks more upscale and elegant. I ALWAYS get the Chicken Ka Pow and have never been disappointed in their quality of food. Sometimes their portion size is inconsistent, but that's my only gripe with this place.
Hands down the best pad thai that I can find. Employees aren't that friendly but their food makes up for it. Trust me.
Great drunken noodles!
For the price and the quality of food Siriwan Thai is our favorite Thai food spot in the area. My husband and I haven't had a bad dish. There have been one or two instances of error but we're all human and they always strive to make it right. Totally recommend!
A very unpretentious store front restaurant. I had the Ginger Chicken tonight. It was very good. Great subtle flavor. Quite enjoyable. Service was fast. Prices are very reasonable.
Love this place, my family has been eating here for years since they opened. The restaurant is cozy tucked in Cloverly shopping center. The food is excellent and the staff is lovely. Their staff is more than attentive to any needs, friendly and treat you like family. They have great lunch specials too. Some of our favorite dishes are the Thai fried rice, it has an unique flavor that is amazing. Pad Thai is good along with all their curries. We have tried many items from the menu and have never been disappointed. I would say it's the best Thai around these parts
