These reviews confuse me. I ordered the green curry and papaya salad for takeout. This was genuinely the most bland and watered down Thai food I’ve ever had. I should have known from the moment I tried the soggy white rice. I really wanted to like it but this food made me sad.

I was excited because of the halal Thai. But not so very happy about the foods. The soup was good. Also liked the curry with mango (forgot the name) and didn’t like the pineapple curry. Not as good as we expected. Fried banana was good. Also, I think the hot tea is better then ice tea since they just put ice on the tea. It looks delicious but doesn’t taste great. If you ask one thing to must have, I’ll say the fried Banana split. Their location is very good. Right in silver spring downtown. But still the Resturant was empty on a Saturday evening when we got there.

Pad Thai was okay - it was a bit on the sweet side. Can improve on customer service.

Ordered chicken pad Thai. Literally one of the best pad Thai’s I’ve ever had. Spice level was just right and it had the right amount of sweetness.

Unfortunately this place is dingy, service is horrible and the store manager or owner is just aloof and careless. It’s a shame because Amina Thais location in Rockville was great, so if these restaurants are related then it’s not good for business.

Good halal Thai food!

So this was my very first time eating here at silver spring location. We were treated BADLY by Manager who was on duty at 6pm. She came around my table 2 times to take away condiments/Sauces while we were eating. She rudely ask me do you need these sauces and I said yes I am eating she said oh because it expensive it’s from Thailand don’t break it. First of all I just start to eat my food so she should bother about grabbing those sauces back. As a customer I don’t need to be told that these are expensive. What is this mean I should touch them? What do you mean and there is a way to say it to ur customers. Then after 10 minutes she came again and said are you still eating theses. At that time I said Yes I am eating them and I won’t break them. I spent $96 without a Tip after a Tip my total was more than $100 and here we have a Rude manager who is concern about me eating from her experience little jars. If you are that concerned why did you leave those sauces out there for you customers? Aren’t they for customers? And after this I was ready to leave and on my way out she didn’t even say have a good day or nice day. Manager doesn’t mean to go around customer tables and rahe sauces away it means have a great customer service skills so you don’t lose customers. But having say that this place lost us as a customers and I will make sure to let others know not to go to this place while this manager is on duty. Because she is RUDE and she SUCKS.

Love the beef kaprow and drunken noodles

The waiters are really nice and the food is absolutely delicious. I got a chicken soup with noodles (forgot the name) and it was really good. The place is also Halal👍🏼

I ordered the Thai red curry (spice level and flavor was perfect). The restaurant was cozy and clean. They had a prayer area set up at the front. Our waitress was attentive and nice. I’ll definitely be returning, and I highly recommend Amina Thai to everyone.

We had the Tum Kha, Thai fried rice, and Thai Red Curry with beef. It was delicious! Our waitress was very nice and the place was very clean mA. Also, the restaurant had a place for prayer (with prayer mats already facing the qibla). I wish the owners nothing but success and we intend to come back here in shā’a Llāh.

Food is good but they have zero customer service. You will not even hear Thank you or welcome from their mouth.

I have a severe gluten allergy, they always accommodate me, they add a gluten free sticker to make sure there’s no cross contamination. Great food, great service. Can’t thank them enough!

Now look here. I have no complaints about the food. The Tom Kha is my favorite. I’ve been going to this place from a long time ago. Actually this was my first time at the Silver Spring location. I was half hoping the service would be better than the Rockville location. To my surprise, or actually not to my surprise, service was just as bad. You’re in the hospitality business. Would it hurt so as much to put up a smile? The vibe straight out felt like they (or the one lady) was resenting seeing us there. Easily could have been a 4 star. Tips are mandatory or I wouldn’t have been so generous. Now that I think about it, very clever strategy. My last time there.

The food is slightly below average and is definitely not worth the price. I got the pad Thai and it was much more sweeter than the Amina Thai in Rockville. The service was abysmal. My friend wanted to send back her food because the waitress did not clearly explain what was in the dish to my friend. The waitress then got frustrated and became very disrespectful to my friend. I will not visit this establishment ever again. If you want decent Pad Thai, I suggest you go to the Amina Thai in Rockville, MD.

I've been going to Amina Thai in Silver Spring and they never disappoint! The food is always incredibly fresh and made exactly how you prefer. I even accidentally messed my order up while putting it in online and the manager/owner not only took care of it, but also let me keep the other order I'd messed up. I am greeted with a friendly smile each time I walk in the door. I'm so glad I've finally found a truly authentic thai restaurant. I go nowhere else when Thai is brought up! 5/5

The lady who works there is beyond rude. Zero customer service. Took 20 minutes to take our order. Her wrist literally touched the chicken when she reached over to put something on the table but she was so rude we chose to ignore it. She touched all the food while holding the plate from the side and had major attitude giving us napkins, cutlery, spice mix, making faces and being a total b&#%h. Food was mediocre at best. Used to be good that's why we drove 40 minutes to get there but never again. Other restaurants deserve our business in this tight economy. At this rate she'll be shutting down in 6 months.

I am appalled at the place, it is extremely rude due to the lady that works there and the food is extremely flavorless and below standard. Probably the worst Thai food I have had in the DC/Baltimore area - we had several dishes, most of them were nowhere close to Thai flavor. They need to course correct their behavior with customers and redo their recipes.

I never write reviews and I was so appalled at the food and service today that I had to. I usually order take out from Kao Thai a few doors down (amazing) but accidentally ordered from Amina today. Without a doubt the worst curry I've ever had (and I've had a lot of curry in my life). Like another reviewer said, the curry had totally separated and the sauce had broken - this must be a common thing. It was pure oil and inedible. I quickly called back and tried to explain what was wrong, and I was rudely cut off before she said she would refund (bonus points for that I guess). And even when I was picking up the food I could sense how awful their customer service was. Go to Kao Thai instead.

Very friendly staff and delicious food. They serve in disposable utensils which is very hygienic. They have sanitizers everywhere. The only issue is parking which is why we did take out. 10/10 highly recommend if you’re looking for authentic Thai cuisine which is also halal.

After spending time in Thailand, the only place I could find that brings me back to the aromatic Thai foods I had overseas was this restaurant. For appetizers, I recommend the Yum Nua- you’ve probably never had beef like this. For entrees, I like the Drunken Noodles or the Beef Kaprow. While the chicken and seafood is okay, they really shine in their beef dishes. For dessert, have the Thai Iced Tea and the Sticky Rice with mango.

I LOVED the food here!!! What a plus since it’s halal. Ordered the drunken noodles and garlic chicken and it was so delicious and flavorful. If we didn’t live so far away in jersey I’d visit this restaurant all the time. Definitely visiting this place whenever I come to maryland

Really great Thai food. Ingredients are very fresh and flavorful, a lot of the veggies tasted like they came straight from the farmer's market. Good portion sizes too. Just note that they are Halal, so no pork options. I especially recommend the "Jungle Curry," it's got a lot of flavor.

The food was terrible in ways that aren't just due to a bad day. The curries were very bland, with the "spicy" curry being equally non-spicy as the "medium" curries. There seemed to be no fish sauce in the red & massaman curries, and the curries were so bland they even needed salt. On the other hand, there was an overpowering amount of what seemed to be fish sauce in the pad thai, which lacked the complex flavors I'm used to finding in pad thai. The pad thai came with a tiny amount of chopped peanuts and a tiny fractional llime wedge (not even a whole lime wedge) and there was no flavor of any fresh herbs or other spices in it. It tasted like fish sauce. The massaman curry sauce was somehow curdled, which I don't understand because the ingredients in massaman curries shouldn't curdle. The spring rolls were nicely crispy and not greasy, but the contents inside the spring rolls were overcooked mush and also flavorless. This Thai restaurant had no summer rolls, which I've never seen before. It's like a restaurant where all the food is made from adapted recipes by a cook who has never eaten real Thai food. I don't understand where the high number of good reviews came from. Maybe because it's Halal and there are few Halal options? There's a Kosher Chinese restaurant in Rockville I once ate at because of the great reviews, and it was similarly bland and tasteless. If you're not committed to a Halal diet, there are much better Thai restaurant alternatives to Amina Thai Halal.

Best Zabiah Halal original and authentic Thai Food resturant in all east coast( lol a bit of a stretch maybe but once you eat there I think you will see that I'm not completely wrong). I've been coming here for past 4+ years back when they only had the Rockville location. I've brought alot of friends and family thru the years and honestly almost everyone loved it and came back multiple times. I live in Woodbridge VA but when I'm craving Thai I'll make the 1hr drive (1hr without traffic don't ask with traffic) in a heartbeat lol. I'd recommend their Beef Pad Thai, Spicy Beef Kaprow, Singapore Noodle, Lo Mein and Drunken Noodles. Other dishes are great too but these are imo the best. The Curries are the only thing I'd say might be something that seems to be an acquired taste and I'm not a big fan. I've been with people that like them a lot tho. Enjoy

Went today from all the way from VA but it was totally disappointing. I don’t think I am going back to this place again. Terrible customer service and overpriced. After I confirmed twice over the phone about my food orders, they still got it wrong and they charged me $3.00 for 1 can soda which I realized it after I came back home.

Great tasting food. I have always gone to Thai at Silver Spring, but I wanted to see what other options were in the area. Compared to that restaurant, the Pad See Ew I ordered here tasted almost as good (they use regular broccoli instead of Chinese broccoli if that matters to you) but the spring rolls at Thai at Silver Spring continue to be much better than any other Thai place I have tried. They did not taste bad though. I could tell all the ingredients were fresh. The restaurant and bathroom were both very clean. My friends and I went there on a Tuesday night and although a few to go orders were picked up we were the only people in the restaurant. Our server was very kind.

Worst customer service ever! From the waitress all the way to the cook. No respect for the customers. Waitress had an attitude from the moment we sat down. She took the wrong food order and when the food came we told her that we didn’t want this dish and wanted another she just said sorry we don’t have that. Like literally if you have a little bit of respect for your customers then ask for if I want something else? She didn’t say Sorry properly. They have no respect at all! Always in attitude. I said I’ll pay for soda and she was like “no I don’t want any of your money” please leave. So I would give NO STAR, but since I have to give a star to post so just one! And if you see it’s been happening a lot in last few weeks especially this week so please be aware!

Ok so we decided to try out this restaurant because I am a huge fan of Asian cuisine and this place offered Halal options! The service was not good to say the least. Our server seemed to be in a rush to get our order and did not offer any advice on the menu as this was our first time trying Thai food! I actually enjoyed my dish which was the Pad Thai noodles (pictured below). The curry sauce from the roti Cani seemed unsettled (almost looked curdled). But at the end of our meal before paying the server literally came over took my friends plate of food off the table she was eating on and proceeded to move the table (still dirty) over so the next party could use it!!! My friends phone was still on the table and got up to ask for a manager to complain about the service. The server went over to her picked up a business card and tossed it at her while telling her to call the other location! Thai did not end well! The cook came from the back to mediate the situation. The server stood by our table smiling as my friend is furious. My friend requested she leave the table and she refused which made the situation worse. As I attempted to hand the cook my card so I could just pay our $100 bill he said “just leave I don’t want your money!” The server then reached over and grabbed my box of noodles that I had packed to take home!!! My noodles were good but nothing can account for terrible service!!!

Horrible experience!!! A group of friends and I went to the SilverSpring location for the 1st time. The food was okay but the staff was rude & nasty. I have never felt so disrespected in my life! Serivce and food goes hand & hand. I contacted Amina about how horribly we were treated & she sort of just brushed it off & told us to come to the Rockville location & she will accommodate us.

Maybe it was just the day, but the food was underwhelming. We LOVE the Rockville location, so it was especially disappointing.

Not blown away, tom yum was a bit salty as if it was made from instant paste, yellow curry with pineapple wasn’t very spicy, but i can’t blame them. A lot of people don’t like spicy. No tableside condiments, slow service. Only myself and other table were occupied, we both had to get up to get the waitress attention for refills and the bill.

I grew up in a Muslim household so I know some foods,culture of the Muslim well. If you are looking for halal Thai foods you got to come here. I love the atmosphere and the decorations inside very much.
