We always ordered to go, since covid. Inside atmosphere is mediocre. But food wise, it is consistently one of the best one for a long time. All the items taste really good and decent portion size.

They seem to be very busy. So make sure you account for the time. That is a good sign.

I hope they maintain the quality and taste as it is now.

Diner Review №2

This place is awesome. Food is very good and the service is quick. My son refuses to try a new Thai place and I'm okay with that because in addition to great food and service, the price is also nice! Crispy chicken is his fave...one of mine too.

Diner Review №3

A favorite. Great Thai food at reasonable prices. My wife and I dine there multiple times a month.

Diner Review №4

THIS IS THE BEST THAI FOOD IN MARYLAND!

I have been looking for good Thai Curries since Nava Thai in Wheaton closed. THIS IS THE PLACE! We spoke with the friendly owner/chef and he used to work at Nava Thai; the food is as good or better. The pricing is fair. With soup and an entree, you leave stuffed.

It's too bad that this location is not near our home. We will enjoy Kiin Imm when we are in Rockville.

Diner Review №5

Second time visit. Nothing change. Foods are nice but the crispy pork that day i have was a little too hard to bite

Diner Review №6

Rude staff. Good food.

Diner Review №7

This particular Thai restaurant is top notch in terms of service and most definitely taste! I’ve ordered for delivery many times and sat in a couple times now. The consistency in deliciousness is very much appreciated and it’s my go to Thai spot!

Diner Review №8

I was eating at a different, significantly worse Thai place today and started fantasizing about being here instead. If that doesn't say quality I don't know what does! Huge portions. Excellent flavor. Extremely good service. Super cute interior. There is nothing not to love about this place. They nail every dish I've had. This is by far the best Thai restaurant in the DC area I've tried and I've tried a lot! Certainly most in Montgomery County. If you haven't been here yet, you're missing out on a new comfort food staple.

Diner Review №9

I would like that

Diner Review №10

Very good food and price

Diner Review №11

The food was so balanced and delicious! Would absolutely come back

Diner Review №12

Best Thai food in the area! We love this place. Service is great and food is incredible.

Diner Review №13

Pad Thai too dry and mediocre at best. Tum Yum soup was good.

Diner Review №14

Wonderful restaurant and honest about the spice. I personally loved the founder!

Diner Review №15

I got the flat noodles with chicken thigh and the taste was great ! The soup was creamy and rich with flavor and the chicken thigh tasted flavorful. The service was standard and although the restaurant interior is a bit cramped, the food taste and value is pretty good. I would definitely come back to try other foods and recommend !

Diner Review №16

I have been to this Authentic Thai Restaurant for years (One of the best Authentic Thai Restaurants). It has the best Drunken Noodle in Maryland and it’s addictive. 4 stars spicy is the best !!! My 10 years tried 2 stars spicy drunken Noodle for the first time, she enjoyed it very much(sweating) !!! Thank you 🙏 owner, chef, and staff.

Diner Review №17

Certainly! Here’s the revised review:

Kiin Imm Thai Restaurant in Rockville, MD, is a delightful spot for authentic Thai cuisine that truly satisfies. The ambiance is warm and inviting, blending modern decor with a touch of traditional Thai charm. It’s a great place for both casual dining and special occasions.

The menu offers a fantastic variety of dishes, each packed with fresh ingredients and bold flavors. The Pad Thai is perfectly balanced, not overly sweet, and the Drunken Noodles have just the right amount of spice. Their Tom Yum soup is a standout—zesty, aromatic, and comforting. The Dancing Pork Belly is a must-try, with tender, flavorful meat and a savory glaze. The Godzilla Fried Rice is another crowd-pleaser, loaded with delicious toppings and a unique smoky aroma. For a fresh and tangy starter, the Papaya Salad delivers the perfect combination of crunch and zest.

What truly sets Kiin Imm apart is their attention to detail and accommodating service. The staff are friendly, attentive, and happy to recommend dishes or adjust spice levels to your preference.

The prices are reasonable for the quality and portions, and they offer both dine-in and takeout options, making it convenient for any occasion. Whether you’re a Thai food enthusiast or new to the cuisine, Kiin Imm is definitely worth a visit.

Let me know if you’d like more tweaks!

Updated review from 1/08/25:
This is the last time I ever eat at this restaurant. We waited over 2 hours for our food on Christmas Eve and the owner was respectful and refunded the cost of the order. Based on this and it not being a Holiday I wanted to give them another chance. My order was placed online @ 5:21pm and showed that it would be ready @ 5:41pm. Even with rush hours traffic I arrived @ 5:45pm, but the food wasn't even ready until 6:15pm. I was also charged for the brown rice
I ordered, but received white rice ( this is a minor issue).

If you value your time avoid this restaurant. There are many other Thai dining options.

We placed our take out order 2 hours ago. The website site said it would be 1 hour. My wife arrived after an hour and was kept waiting for an additional hour.
She said the restaurant isn't busy, mainly taking out orders.
We like the food and would order weekly and recommend it to numerous others.
Looks like it's time to go elsewhere.

Sorry to share this with you.

Delicious pad Thai and cute dining area!

Diner Review №20

This place always takes a long time to deliver orders and the workers are very rude and have no patience with customers. I do not recommend this place to anyone. I felt mistreated.

Diner Review №23

I’ve visited this restaurant a few times in person, and it’s clear they prioritize the dine-in experience. However, my recent experiences with online orders have been disappointing. The food is consistently late—sometimes arriving 30 minutes past the already long estimated time of 80 minutes.

Additionally, the spice levels are extremely inconsistent. I’ve ordered meals where a "1" on the spice scale was somehow spicier than a "3." To top it off, I wouldn’t recommend the mushroom forest dish—it arrived completely burnt and inedible.

This used to be my favorite place, but the decline in quality and service is so disappointing. :(

Diner Review №24

I put in a $300 order and they wouldn’t change the delivery time to an hour later even though DoorDash was willing to change the delivery time.

Diner Review №25

We got basil fried rice with shrimp, pad Thai, and drunken noodles. All fresh and delicious. Definitely a new favorite for very good Thai food.

Diner Review №26

40 minutes past the pick up time and I’m still waiting for my order.

I can find a better place to spend my night time.

Diner Review №27

Delicious Thai food in Rockville MD. I highly recommend you try the Kha Moo (Pork Legs Stew) and Khao Soi Chicken 🐔

Diner Review №28

The one thing I always seek out in a restaurant is authenticity. Many times you go to a restaurant and find no one from that respective culture in the staff. Genuine is the best word I can use to describe this restaurant.

As soon as I walked in and saw the clientele, the staff, the dishes, and took in the aromatic smells.....I knew I was in the right spot.

I am so incredibly happy that I ate here. Every single dish was on point, spice levels to perfection, and aromas that just tickled your senses. Crispy fish, panang curry, and taro coconut custard dessert were all standouts.

I will definitely be visiting again.

We ordered carryout. I ordered chicken pad Thai .One small piece of chicken in it. all noodles so disappointed !I asked for a second pad Thai in my order and asked for double meat chicken and that per order had three pieces of chicken
Buyer beware very disappointing

Diner Review №35

We stopped in this Plaza for a different store, however we saw how busy this place was! The pad thai and curry were amazing! Service was prompt and excellent.

Diner Review №36

The food tasted terrible this time.

Diner Review №37

Food is good but they have no idea how to bring food out on time. Ordered online and it came out over an hour after they said it would be ready. I wouldn’t order from there unless you are prepared to wait 3 times longer than they say online. If they could make an effort to improve wait time estimates, I would recommend ordering from here again

Diner Review №38

This was an AMAZING pleasant surprise for the area as I simply picked it with no other criteria than available Thai restaurants within the area I was visiting in Rockville!,....only to be blown away by the quality, taste and price that makes one feel that they absolutely got their bang for the bucks spent!!

Diner Review №39

Went there with a friend for lunch. It was busy and packed - a good sign! The host and hostess were very nice. But, an older guy who took the order, and served food was in a terrible rush. He did not care to ask what we wanted to drink, or what spice level we preferred (which is a normal thing to do). Later, he brought the check without asking if we wanted a dessert. I was planning to order some take out and he had to take the check back and get another one. Rushing customers out is not good practice!

Diner Review №40

I am sad to write this review, the food was good, I had a family member out on a birthday dinner, but once I signed the bill before the ink was dry the manager walked over and rushed us out she said she needs the table and we should leave now. This is not a good way to treat clients. I will not return. And yes I will not recommend this restaurant.

Diner Review №41

I love Thai food, and the meal I had at Kiin Imm Thai was super good. Excellent Chicken Satay and the Heavenly Pork was delicious also. The Chicken Drunken Noodles (Pad Kee Mao) were also fabulous. Prices are very reasonable and portion sizes generous. I hope to dine here again during my week in Rockville.

Diner Review №42

if you love boat noodles, this is the right place. The noodles are rich and flavorful, with tender meat and a tasty broth. The vibe is cozy and authentic. The serving time can be a bit slow, so be prepared to wait. But once the food arrives, it’s worth it!

This is literally the best Thai food in the region! My family has been coming here for years. We usually get the pad see ew, boat noodle soup, khao moo and Brussel sprout salad. These items are elite. Service is always friendly. The restaurants decor is cute. I’d 100% recommend.

Diner Review №47

Nice Thai restaurant. First time here and it was a busy small place. Food was very good.

Diner Review №48

Ordered the carry out green curry with tofu but it tasted about to go bad - the tofu is already sour and the curry flavorless. The other two dishes are fine. Just can’t understand why the restaurant is not serving fresh dishes

Diner Review №49

Food is very good. I ordered minced chicken mildly spicy and it’s so good.

Diner Review №51

My recent visit was far from what I had expected. My waitress was not in a good mood for some reason. The soup was served with only three shrimp. At the time of payment, I mentioned it to her, and she became irate. She raised her voice and said, "You are the only one complaining. We serve the same to hundreds of people. No one has complained about it. This is an appetizer." Must I mention that it is soup, and I was very polite about it? But she lost it. I heard her go back into the kitchen and talk about it to the others. I was ready not to tip her, but then the manager came and apologized on her behalf. He was very polite and even recognized my friend as a frequent diner. I left her a cash tip but was not at all happy about the fact that she tried to create a scene.

If you are not having a good day, it is not my fault.

Diner Review №57

We love this place! The classic dishes are great, portions are also sizable. This is our go-to when we want Thai

Diner Review №58

My first time here, I drove out from Prince George’s county and to be honest I cannot recommend this place enough!! Great food, service and vibe! I will return

Diner Review №59

The food was decent, but the service was quite rude and rushed. Servers repeatedly tried to clear our plates while two of us were still eating. We were even given the receipt before everyone was finished with food. We weren’t overstaying as we only stayed for less than an hour, and the restaurant was still receiving new customers, so it didn’t seem like they were closing soon. I don’t think we deserve to be treated like this

Diner Review №60

Caveat - new to Thai food but I really enjoyed this place! The interiors are very cozy, the decor is really cool with miniatures and dioramas. The food itself is great, but do be careful about the spice levels. If you do not know what you're doing, just pick the 0 spice level, trust me, 1 is too much some times. There's a great breadth of flavors and textures in each dish. If overwhelmed by the menu, get the khao soi, it's an easy ramp into the rest of the menu. The Tom yum soup is out of this world and the mango sticky rice is a great finisher to bring down the temperature.
Reserve a table if you're a large party!

Diner Review №70

Got takeout here once & dined in once.

5/5 stars for takeout experience, food was ready on time (within 20 min of ordering) and young man at the front desk was very kind in getting us some extra sauce that we asked for.

for both takeout & dine-in, food tasted great and had no issues. good quantity for the price, and very tasty. if you are coming just for the food, i would highly recommend.

for dine-in, the experience was a little disappointing. not exactly horrible, but not great either. our table was sticky as if it wasn't cleaned properly. my plate was cracked and chipped in multiple places. the atmosphere was nice, but it was very loud so we had to almost shout to talk to each other across the table. there were also a lot of loud noises coming from the kitchen. no knives were given, so it was hard to cut the large pieces of chicken. plates are also incredibly tiny, making it hard to serve myself and eat comfortably (this was probably my least favorite part). they served 2/3 of our entrees and forgot the 3rd one and we had to remind them. servers weren't outright rude, but weren't exactly polite either; kind of got the feeling like we were being a burden to them, like they were annoyed all the time, and we also felt very rushed by them. they didn't smile or try to be nice and didn't say you're welcome when we said thank you, etc. which isn't objectively wrong i guess, maybe just a cultural difference, but it was just off-putting and felt unwelcoming compared to regular service you would expect. (two or three of the female waitresses made us feel this way, but one older man who came by a few times was a little more friendly and funny.) aside from the few things i mentioned, service was otherwise great - quick and efficient.

despite the cons, i would come back, but probably only if they offered bigger plates. the snack-sized plates was a big negative for me. i like having a big plate so i can serve portions of multiple entrees at once. id rather get takeout from here and just eat it at home with normal sized plates.

Really delicious dishes. Great appetizer selection, decent prices, and the portions are large. My favorite is their eggplant dish and the vegetables in all their dishes really shine. You can tell they use fresh quality produce and the flavors are amazing. The spicy dishes are really great and you can adjust the spice level if you need to. I keep coming back here and bringing everyone I know, the decor and atmosphere are also really nice. 5 stars.

Its a hidden gem. One of the best Thai food with very affordable prices.
Must try: Pineapple fried rice, basil fried rice, Drunken noodles, Panang Curry.

Diner Review №77

This is an interestingly named restaurant on Rockville pike. It’s a rather smallish restaurant with limited seating (perhaps 20), and a small bar.

The service is extraordinary. We were seated in less than a minute and a server was with us almost immediately. We had peculiar food requirements and she patiently heard us out, asked relevant questions and gave us recommendations.

The dishes were served quite promptly. We tried the Tom Yum soup and vegetable spring roll for starters and they were both very good.

For the main course we had their eggplant and pad Thai. Both were very good. Also ordered the Thai ice tea which was also good.

They have rather generous portions so keep that in mind when ordering. Also the food tends to be spicy so important to be tell them about your spice tolerance level. They generally ask for a spice rating from 1 to 5 and will adjust accordingly.

The menu has a “V” for dishes that can be made vegetarian

The restaurant is owned by chef Nuit Regular. He is the Executive Chef and Co-Owner of PAI, Kiin, Sabai Sabai, and Sukhothai. Apparently he has transformed the Thai food scene in Toronto through the distinct flavours of Northern Thai cuisine and hospitality and is expanding into US.

Good place to try!

This must be the best Thai food restaurant in the area. A typical Thai restaurant decor. Very good Thai dishes and whatever we ordered, we loved it. Iced Coffee, Thai Popcorn Chicken, The twelve tailed shrimp and Basil Fried Rice. Everything was great, but especially Thai Popcorn Chicken was very crispy outside and chicken inside was very tender. Preparation was really great. For the first time we ate dish like this.
To talk about atmosphere they've tried to make it remind the customers to be in Thailand. Thailand street walk in the lanes of Bangkok or alike runs on TVs in the restaurant. Miniatures of typical small shops in the bylanes in Bangkok and items. Mostly wooden furniture.
A must visit restaurant for Thai food Lovers.

My favorite Thai spot in Rockville. Usually they are busy with dine in and take out orders but once you are seated, the food is delivered pretty quickly after ordering. We get the Pad Thai and Pad See Ew and they taste great with beef or chicken. I recommend the Thai tea or Thai iced coffee to complement the goodness.

I'm going to be short and sweet here. The server was amazing but the food was meh. The onions in my dish were undercooked, practically raw. And my guest's dish had a weird flavor.

Then halfway through the meal the crammed another family into a space right next to us where we were 3 feet off from sharing a table together. All while the other half of the restaurant was empty. Weird choice to cram your guests together.

This is our new favorite go-to Thai place! We’ve been here 6-8 times in the last few months and we keep coming back! The food is delicious, flavorful and authentic (we lived in Thailand for a few years). Larb tofu is our favorite! Chop chop minced chicken basil is another fave dish. And for appetizers the dumplings and the nuggets are must try! And of course don’t forget the mango with sticky rice for dessert. The place gets super busy during early dinner time but if you’re willing to wait for 30-40 minutes it’s absolutely worth it! We usually just order takeout out when it’s full. Service is also consistently very good. We haven’t encountered any staff who is not kind, attentive and quick to address your orders.

Diner Review №94

Vegetarians beware! Ordered dinner for a family of four and they put chicken in my vegetarian daughter’s dish. We took it home and didn’t realize until I took it out - at 9:26 pm. I called immediately and it didn’t seem like the person who answered cared at all. He very tersely said he can “refund me” (I won’t hold my breath) but never offered to fix it so I could pick up corrected food or better yet - deliver since it was their mistake. I order a lot here and have told many friends about it - but my daughter didn’t have dinner tonight because of their mistake and indifference. Not again.

Diner Review №96

If you order take-out on a busy night then the chicken will actually be white meat chicken. Otherwise, while ordering on a slow night, I got mystery dog meat, who knows what type of grey, rough & tough inedible dinosaur meat that was? Some of the staff members are nice, the others are extremely rude/ignore you when you walk in…

Diner Review №108

My wife and I were recommended to this restaurant by a friend. I ordered the Basil Crispy Pork and she had the tofu drunken noodle. The pork came out cold (which I thought was normal at the time), and the pork was so tough it was like chewing on plastic. The roof of my mouth is definitely not a happy camper. After speaking with the waitress at the end of the meal. She did inform me that the pork shouldn’t be cold and definitely not that chewy. She did apologize and said she will talk to the kitchen. The service and atmosphere was very nice. We are planning to come back and give them another chance as the restaurant came highly recommended.

Diner Review №110

This Thai restaurant is 💯! Our friend introduced this place to us and we've been visiting this place often after that. The foods are good and affordable.

Diner Review №111

Ordered take out for boat noodle soup and when I asked for extra broth, the lady said it came with a full container. We got home and they only provided not even half the container full. Terrible customer service.

Diner Review №112

First time we tried to come here it was a Friday evening and there was a 30+ min wait. However, there was plenty of seating around 530 on a Tuesday. Nice atmosphere and we found everything to be very worth the price.

I am usually not a big fan of tofu, but their fried tofu in the Pad Thai was very tasty. The Khao Soi wasn't my favorite in the area, but it was still very good. Plus, I have found most places give 1 piece of chicken and this place gave double, at a comparable or lower price than the others, so I felt it was well worth it. The Papaya Salad was refreshing and the glaze on the Spicy Catfish was very delicious. Can recommend all those dishes.

Service was more than adequate and the food came out quickly. The only minor negative was I found their rice to be a bit soggy/sticky. Not sure if it's supposed to be like that or they just used too much water this time. Overall, I would recommend coming here. Great food at a very reasonable price.

Diner Review №113

There are better Thai restaurants nearby.

Diner Review №114

Decent Thai food.

Diner Review №115

I ordered pad Thai, but it’s not the real pad Thai I’ve been eating. Taste is different. Color is different. Then we ordered Godzilla fried rice, nothing different from kao pad fried rice I’ve eaten. Last one is red light underground it’s a fish fillet flounder not the whole fish that we thought. The sauce was too sweet. They should reduce the sweetness of this dish. Overall the dish are room much flavors either too sweet or too salty. If they could lessen the flavor. I DO NOT RECOMMEND the pad Thai because it’s not pad Thai.

Diner Review №116

Diner Review №117

This is the real deal. Plus the menu is entertaining too.

Diner Review №118

This place has the worst service. They make you write your name on the waiting list, but can't seat you on any table because you have to be at least 3 people. Other people get ahead you even though you're were first on the waiting list. They want you to eat in a rush. They want you to order the food before seating on your table and on top of that they bring the food and just drop it off without asking if you need anything else. They act like robots. They don't know about customer service. Worst waitres. They want you to eat in rush because the place is so small. Also, this place it seems they prefer Caucasians people. The two groups that got ahead of me were Caucasians even though i was on the list before them. This is very discriminatory.

Diner Review №119

Great find, in a strip mall. Well worth seeking it out. The pad se ewe with beef was delicious and more than enough to take some home too! Highly recommend going here.

Diner Review №121

I’m in town for a few days from suburban Atlanta, where we have a pretty good Thai food scene, but this place is my new favorite! The Tom Kha soup, with its significant overtones of lemon is outstanding! The Basil Fried Rice is made with a hint of chili pepper that really rings my bell! And the Wonton Soup, something I might usually take for granted, was the best I ever had! Five Stars and Two Thumbs Way Up! I’ll be back! As a Governator of California once said!🙂🔥

Diner Review №122

Very rude staff, not welcoming at all. Told our group that wait time was 15 mins and after inquiring about seating 30 mins later, we were we were dismissed and told to cancel if we want. We were told this twice. Preference in seating seem to have been given to non-black customers.

Diner Review №123

Always a go to restaurant, the greatest Thai food.

Diner Review №124

While the employees and vibe seemed great during pickup, the pad Thai we ordered online was lackluster. Specifically there was very little meat, the spiciness level did not match what the order called for, and the noodles were very thin and oily. We had higher expectations from such a highly-rated venue and will avoid in the future.

Diner Review №129

This restaurant’s food bounces around a lot. Had a mediocre dinner here tonight. Brussel sprout salad was a wet mess that had been sitting with few of the crispy Brussels . And the roasted duck special (Ember Flare - $23) had also been steam tabled way too long. The duck wasn’t roasted - no crispy skin and totally overcooked. Rice was also way overcooked just a clump of paste for the most part. Waitstaff was running hard but clearly had no time to do much more than grab orders and deliver food. It took quite a while to request a knife to cut up the larger duck chunks. When the owner is there things are much better. But I can only review this experience as I have reviewed the positive’s in the past.

Diner Review №130

We loved everything about our experience today.

The place is very unassuming located in a strip mall along the pike. When you walk in there are cherry blossoms on the ceiling and TVs that are playing videos of walk-throughs of Thailand Street markets. It’s not a big place. Not ideal for a large group. However, the two of us were sat immediately on a busy Saturday afternoon and we never saw people waiting longer than 10-15 minutes.

The menu is really nice because it’s not huge like you see it most casual Asian spots. it’s one page front and back for all the food. We had papaya salad, tom kha, chop chop basil and finished with taro custard. Everything was outrageously good, especially for the price.

The service is also an important piece of this. Our waiters gave us great recommendations. They kept our drinks topped off. They graciously exchanged our soup when we ordered the wrong one and when we told them we were splitting our entrée they gave us two eggs on our chop chop basil dish instead of one. Super friendly and attentive.

We can’t wait to come back and try some of the hits like pad Thai, fried rice, and panang curry!

Diner Review №131

Really beautiful place to dine at. The restaurant is well designed and the servers are very sweet, will check up on you and ask if everything is all good from time to time. Would recommend to come earlier to not wait for a table since it gets pretty busy during dinner time. Would recommend their moon river crossing and kua gai noodles. The portions are worth the price as it’s plenty for a person.

Diner Review №132

Food is great but I'm not sure if I'm actually getting the spice level requested. I like spicy and this is not that.

Diner Review №133

It’s giving cozy mom & pop vibes and the food is great! I love a good Khao Soi which is not served at every Thai restaurant and this one was pretty good. I ordered medium spicy and it wasn’t very spicy at all but could easily be fixed with some chili oil on top.

Diner Review №134

KIIN IMM Thai restaurant is decent, it falls short in terms of consistency and boldness of flavors. The overall dining experience was great. The ambiance is okay, and the service, while acceptable, doesn't leave a lasting impression.

Diner Review №135

Really loved this spot! Came here on a whim and was speculative about the wait but it was so worth it. So many folks coming for dine in and carry out. The place is smaller but very cute and well maintained.

Arguably the best Thai restaurant in Rockville. Plenty of excellently prepared dishes to try here that I don't usually see in other Thai spots I've been to. Definitely try their Boat Noodles, which is this incredibly complex noodle soup dish that comes loaded with beef, meatballs, and fried pork skins on the top. It's like all the best characteristics of Vietnamese Pho and Bun Bo Hue packed into one bowl, and then some.

We decided to go to this Thai restaurant to discuss our upcoming trip to Thailand. We had a reservation for 5 on a Sunday night. The food and service were good but the dining experience was not so good. We were constantly pushed to order, finish our meal and pay the bill, which included an 18% gratuity. Luckily, I caught the added gratuity before adding another 25%. We were, literally, in the restaurant for only 45 minutes before we were asked to leave so another party could be seated, but there was no longer a line at the door. The restaurant is small so you would probably be better off ordering your meal for pickup or delivery, unless you're a fast eater. None of us would go back to try this restaurant again, unless they expand their square footage and upgrade their customer service practices.

Very selfishly, I did not want this restaurant to become super popular so that we can always come in without reservations :) their food is THE best Thai I’ve had in the area. I’ve been a patron for 2 years and regularly drive here often. Even on a bad day, their food will beat any other place.

Diner Review №145

Delicious Thai food that was not greasy and had a wide range of different flavors for reasonable prices! Most of their dry noodle and fried rice dishes (chicken or veggie) are only $12 and well worth the price.

I really enjoyed their curry puffs, pad thai, and godzilla fried rice (which has a lot of tasty spicy seafood), and would also recommend their lemon Thai iced tea for a citrusy twist on a fan favorite drink!

Can’t wait to come back again and try their brussel sprout salad and some of their monthly specials as I’ve heard that those dishes are also really good!

Absolutely love this place! It was a rainy day and my boyfriend and I decided it was a perfect excuse to get some soup. Of course we just had to come here to satisfy the craving! I've lost track of how many times I've come here whether it's carry out or dining in and each time I never get disappointed!

The food is amazingly good and authentic with the street food menu. I have been a loyal customer since opening in 2018. Though it looks busy, the staff and service are quick to serve.

Diner Review №151

How did Rockville land such a genuine and popular Thai restaurant?

All your favorites are on the menu, plus a good selection of 'street food.'
This cozy restaurant has a surprising number of tables and can even seat a party of 10, albeit tightly.

During, the busy times, which is any time you would want to go, I have never seen a waitstaff work so hard and stay so friendly.

This place also does an incredible Carry Out business as well.

Lively atmosphere, great service, and excellent food make this gem a top destination.

I ordered the Chive cakes and became very ill 2.5 hrs after eating. I had to cancel all my Christmas plans. Still 48 hrs later with severe stomach craps. Will never ever order from this place again.

Diner Review №154

I've been ordering from Kiin Imm Thai for years now, and it's my favorite Thai restaurant in the area. Which is why I was so disappointed to find a piece of scrap metal in my pad Thai with my latest order. Their food quality has always been great up until now, but biting down on sharp metal after taking a bite was an experience I wouldn't wish on anyone. Please be more diligent about quality control!

Diner Review №155

Food is not bad... When I was young, I loved Thai food. But now I don't feel like before what I love the food.

Diner Review №156

The food was awful. No flavor. Very disappointing.

Diner Review №157

Waiter rudely asked us to leave while I still had wine left in my glass. My entree came last after everyone else in my party. Felt shocked and offended; we always pay early and tip well. I've never experienced anything like this. Recommend training for the staff.

Diner Review №158

Great food that is sadly overshadowed by the amazingly rude service. Older bald man that is usually there has been extremely rude at least three times. I live within about a quarter mile so my girlfriend and I usually walk there. That being said, the first experience was some bad wine, obviously open too long and he was rude about replacing it. Indignant in fact, which was surprising, but absolutely in-line with the second experience when I order the crispy pork. Understanding pork and how it should be cooked, this was nearly inedible, what I mean by that is EXTREMELY hard, nearly solid in fact. Beyond crunchy and actually was nervous about possibly chipping a tooth. These bad puppies where tough, dense, and rock solid. I am patient and give anyone a few chances, but tonight the same man asked us to leave despite my girlfriend not being finished with her drink. He say 'sorry, but I have another party coming can you leave, sorry'. I guess since I had paid already his interest was gone. no party showed up for at least 5 min or more. So he was simply trying to turn tables. I get it as I used to work in restaurants as well. I am a strong tipper and appreciate good service. With all of the Thai restaurants around, I would recommend going elsewhere, should take you less than 5 min to get to an equally as good place. But if you like rude service, and good Thai food, this will be your place. I prefer good Thai food and good pleasant service, won't take long to find that. Very rarely will I write a review but this guy is a horrid waiter, I wish the wait staff that work with him the best of luck.

Went here for the first time and got the chicken pad see ew lunch special. The total came up to about $12.50 with tax. It came with 6 veggie gyoza. Typically it comes with 3 veggie gyoza and 3 fish puffs but they will allow you to substitute. The both the pad see ew and the gyoza were good. Not the best I’ve had but I would definitely get again. Parking is plentiful as well.

Okay, I can’t say this is the BEST Thai place in Rockville since I’ve never tried the other Thai restaurants in Maryland BUT, this restaurant just satisfies my taste buds where I just specifically keep coming back here when I’m craving Thai cuisine. Firstly, the inside of the place is a total vibe, it’s decorated with greenery and plants and has T.V.s presenting cooking channels. Dining in will feel cozy but also like a treat; as if you’re eating out on vacay. The service is great, plating is well done and clean, and the food is ALWAYS superb. Not gonna lie, when I first found their panang curry w CK and fried Tofu…I ordered it every single day for a week straight until I got tired of it; it’s that good that I still crave that sweet, creamy, and spicy flavor time to time. I also consistently order their Drunken Noodles w/ CK as well as their Tom Yum Soup w CK and shrimp. I got a fried tofu w some type of sweet tangy peanut sauce when dining in but can’t find it for pick up or on delivery apps ): wish they’d add that in. I also LOVE mango sticky rice so I get that often but to be honest I’ve tried better elsewhere. Another pointer is that their spicy is SPICY, watch out lol. I usually get medium spicy and its authentically really spicy (which I like) but if you’re not good with spicy, make sure you ask for less. If you like sweet drinks(a boba tea fan maybe?) try their green Thai tea, sooo addicting. I need to start trying more food from here. ya’ll need to try this place if you wanna try Thai cuisine or if you like Thai food, it’s great; they don’t skimp out on portioning either, and they know how to flavor their food. From what I’ve seen, the prices here is comparably a bit cheaper than the rest as well. Ordered over 10 times and each time the food HIT. Never a miss

Diner Review №164

When people order ‘zero level’ spicy but you give them rocket fuel that destroys taste buds you should expect bad reviews. Bad food, careless service.

Diner Review №165

First time here, big flavor. Fantastic food.

Diner Review №166

After eating here twice, I can say that Kiin Imm is a standout Thai restaurant with consistently good food, a fun atmosphere, and top notch service. Both times, the restaurant is packed, and people are either filing in to get a table or pick up their takeaway order.

The fun and upbeat vibe makes for a positive dining experience elevated by Bangkok-inspired modern Thai cuisine. On our first visit, acting on the recommendation of a regular customer, we tried the Brussels sprout salad (outstanding with addictive tangy and sweet tamarind sauce); Beef in Bangkok (hearty beef with broccoli); Pad See Ew (filling noodles absorbed in a light sauce); and Thai Taro coconut custard (literally amazing - creamy, sweet and decadent and also dairy and gluten free)!

On our second visit, we re-ordered the Brussels sprout salad and beef in Bangkok dishes because they were so good the first time. These dishes impressed us all over again, the mark of a good restaurant. I also got a pad Thai, which is probably the best pad Thai I’ve ever had and changed my whole perception of the dish. Finally, a flavorful pad Thai that is NOT GREASY.

Maw is a great server and remembered us from our first visit - she even remembered that we wanted cashews in the side and wanted the mango sticky rice (which the restaurant had run out of our first visit). The sticky rice is subtly sweet and paired with mango.

I love this restaurant. There are plenty of gluten-free options, and everyone in there is having a good time. The dishes are reasonably priced, authentic, and taste way better than more expensive Thai places in DC. Highly recommend as a standout restaurant in the DC area!

Food is okay. But the servant was naughty. I ordered delivery on Uber eats from the Merrifield Kiin Imm as usual. Somehow Uber eats routed this order to Maryland. I called twice asking them to cancel the order but they insisted it’s cancelled and there was no order under my name. However, after about 2-3 hours, a Uber driver stopped by my door coming all the way from Maryland with my food.

Excellent overall dining experience. We will definately return to sample more from the fabulous menu. This restaurant is a sister concern of 2 other Thai establishments belonging to the same owners (one in Gaithersburg and another in Silver Spring). Very comforting atmosphere and quite spacious (although, from the outside it appears smaller).
Must try dishes: 1. Drunken Noodles ✔ 2. Spicy Catfish✔. Fresh, delicious, and made to order. I ordered my dishes, "without added sugar" + thai hot hot + less oil - they do listen & customize! Yumm!!👍👍✴✴✴✴✴

Service and atmosphere were good, but the food was poor. Way too sweet (each dish had the same amount of extreme sweetness) and salty— I think this is catered to white/American tastes and isn’t authentic to my experiences in Thailand/with other Thai restaurants. But the country isn’t a monolith! Just not the restaurant for me.

We ordered the papaya salad (mostly lime flavored), flounder (fine), boat noodle soup (very sweet), and drunken noodles (very sweet, shrimp cooked well).

Diner Review №181

Excellent food. Spices and flavors were great. Food was really fresh and cooked well. Definitely some of the best Thai food I’ve had in the area.

This is a review for carryout only, although when you pick up the food I will say that the restaurant is as cramped and loud and close quarters as it can possibly be and in these days of resurgent Covid that is certainly not a comfortable environment to be in.
We used to eat there a lot before covid and have gotten carry out a lot since then. Like everyone else, their portion sizes have gotten smaller and smaller on carryout, which although annoying, is sort of understandable because everyone is doing it. But the last two times we have ordered the portion sizes have been ridiculously small, and last night was just the topper which has made us declare that we will never go back again. We ordered the brussel sprouts salad which is around $7.95 and used to be a full plate at the restaurant and a relatively full salad bowl at the house. Last night it was basically a small bowl with a handful of lettuce and shredded carrot, three cashew nuts, and about four small chunks of steamed but not even sauteed brussel sprouts and a couple of leaves as well. So literally about 50 cents worth of vegetables and no cooking had gone into it. If they don't want to make it when they are busy they should take it off the menu. I called to let them know how upset I was about the portion size and the fact that even the small amount of Brussel sprouts that were in there weren't cooked fully much less pan-fried the way they were supposed to be and they could not have cared less.
I've attached pictures showing how ridiculously small the portion size was and exactly how many pieces of Brussel sprouts we picked out of it before we actually poured it into the bowl. They were maybe another five individual leaves mixed in to the greens and that was it. Plus of course the three cashew nuts.

There is another Thai restaurant, highly rated, less than a mile down the road, so we will be taking our business there from now on.

We ordered a chili basil eggplant with tofu and a drunken noodles with tofu. Both of the dishes have very good quantities of tofu and vegetables, it's also very tasty and have wok chi. The price is also looks good for the vegetarian dishes.
My son ordered a Ching mai Khao so I noodles with chicken. He love the way cooked with curry source as the base and the quantity is also enough for adult. It's worth to come back for another bites.

All around this is my favorite Thia Restaurant! They probably have about 10 tables or so. There's always a line. Carry-out is about an hour wait on their busy night.

I have not had a bad experience with their food. Each dish has been flavorful. Now the only thing you have to be careful with is their spice level. The spice levels are from one to five, five being Thia spicy (you'll feel it the next day). Stick between level two to three and you will be safe.

Cutest little restaurant. Servers were delightful, everyone was working together to make this an outstanding dining experience. Wood interior is warm and welcoming. Started with shrimp dumplings, delicious. Mains were double pepper beef and Bangkok Beef. The Bangkok beef was amazing. This little gem made our list of "can't wait to go back".

Diner Review №199

Love this restaurant. Been here a handful of times and have never been disappointed. I've only been during lunch time and they get very busy with dine in and carry out orders. The dining area is very cozy and they have flowers draping the ceiling. Service is great and quick - they want to get you in and out so that other guests can be served.

We ordered the Papaya Salad, Ka Prow Chicken, and Night Bazaar Chili Flounder. All were quite tasty! They squeeze a lot of lime in the Papaya Salad so it's a bit on the tart side but overall flavor is great and the spice is perfect. The flounder was so crispy and paired so well with the veggies it came with. The Ka Prow Chicken was very flavorful and even though there are 3 peppers next to it for rating - the heat wasn't overwhelming. Nothing was over salted and the Ka Prow dish came with plenty of chicken to share and take home.

Diner Review №200

Do not recommend this place at all, I am a very strict vegetarian, and I found meat in my dish buried in the noodles. Considering I was halfway through the dish, I was so upset and disgusted. This is not OK and they need to have better quality checks in place.
