I liked it. It was ok. The skewers meat texture was like flakey which was Odd. But the sauce on the side was good. The noodles was the party favorite dish we did not have any left. Food pick up time was done on time. Friendly staffing. Total was a little over 200. (Fries were not part of this order) I would change out the fried rice for something else next time.

Tried this spot twice. First time? Meh, it wasn’t great, I said never again. Second time, though... Let's just say I had an out-of-body experience. You know it's bad when you wake up in a deep sleep just to... well, let's say my bathroom and I are closer now. 😬 Should’ve trusted my instincts when I opened the bag and thought, ‘Why am I doing this to myself?’ Lesson learned: never ignore your gut... especially when it’s literally telling you not to! They gotta switch everything up.

Used to be amazing, quality and authentic Thai style food here. Now it taste like Chinese fast food quality. Pics are Suicide Noodles and Nua Nom Tok (Beef Salad). Beef had no taste and thinly sliced. Used to be grilled and charbroiled with authentic fish sauce. I had to add siracha for added taste. Suicide noodles used to have amazing spices but now taste like Lo Mein at best.

My go to takeout food! Highly recommend the Pad See Ew with a little added spice. The Thai Iced tea is made perfectly!

We stumbled upon this restaurant randomly after a boring uneventful Panera coffee stop, but were glad we found this hidden gem. Not trying to sound pompous but having been to the land of smiles many times (pre covid) and yearning to get back one day soon, this restaurant really brought a taste of Thailand to this neck of woods. I ordered a green curry dish and wife went with Pad Thai and we shared a papaya salad. Everything was on point including spice level and flavor profile. The only thing missing is the sound of motor bikes, ridiculous humidity and exotic street smells. We’ll be back here for lunch again soon.

The food was absolutely amazing. I rarely write reviews this is only my second one, but I had to. The shrimp and chicken fried rice was so good, very authentic. The green curry was perfect. The golden tilapia my god, it was the best fish I’ve ever had. Service was great, inside is very nice and clean. I’m coming back next week.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Today I placed an order at the restaurant, I specified I wanted to dine in and a lady spoke in Thai and then said “why dine in no eat here” needless to say I said I would like to order it to go. Horrible customer service. Please don’t ever go here!! Mid food and you get treated like you’re a bother for them.

Tiny restaurant, sits around 20 people. Lots of people who ordered take out. Lunch specials starting around $11. I tried the Massamun Curry with chicken and it was fantastic. You get a ton of tender chicken. Next time I probably will ask if I can get 1/2 chicken, 1/2 vegetables. The miso soup was light and perfect for the cold rainy day.

I have been going to Thai Express in Kentlands since 2015, never had ANY issues, until today, when they not only got my order wrong, they changed their policy to charge customers for the spice ( Which is free if you dine-in ) explanation was: the container is so expensive that we have to charge the customers 75c for each spice. OS even though i paid for the spice, not all spices were there. The quality and the taste of food was also, so bad that my family ended up eating at Sabai Sabai Simply Thai. Same price but great service and very tasteful food. I am really sad to see Thai Express deteriorating, but like all good things come to an end. i am moving my business elsewhere. For a family of 4 the bill always was around $80 which is ok, but at least I deserve a little smile and service. It seems the people working at Thai Express are not the excellent people i got used to over the years. Sad Sad Sad....

We've been customers of Thai Express for the past 6 years or so. We really loved the food and ordered often, but had noticed a noticable shift towards a decrease in the quantity a few years ago (pre-pandemic). We still order take out but less frequently. My husband swears by their egglant dishes, they are so good. The staff have always been very pleasant and we still given them our business.

Rude staff. Ordered food here for lunch. They were open for dining in. They placed my order for carry out without asking me. I asked for a plate and they would not give me a plate for eating in the restaurant. He said I ordered carry out and I told him I had not done so and even had left them a tip in the credit card. Last time I come to this place. Food is ok but much better Thai places in the area. Asking for a plate when they clearly made a mistake on the order is not much to ask.

This place is pretty good. I eat a lot of Thai food and love Thai food and I enjoyed my meal from here, but the quality is noticeably lower than other Thai restaurants. I tried this restaurant for the first time because I always see them online and their prices are lower than other places. But the quality is slightly worse too, in my opinion. Other Thai places are better in terms of quality of meat and materials used in the dish, and also flavor. But this place definitely has best value/prices and portion.

And it is restaurant 101 that you are not supposed to use such a toxic bleach for cleaning eating table. It is definitely unhealthy! You could have just used alcohol diluted water instead. I felt like I was eating small portion of bleach little by little. Yuk!!

Everything was really good! The seafood (shrimp and squid rings) were actually fresh and cooked to perfection. I love the green curry. The spice level and flavor is on point. I always order a side of steamed vegetables to add to my curry - and the vegetables are not overly cooked. They're fresh and still slightly crunchy.

We've ordered a few times since our first visit. And it's been consistent.

Prices are reasonable. They are smaller sized portions compared to some establishments in the area.

The service is good. They pay attention to detail and the food comes out quickly.

I keep telling myself to order something new, but I really love the curry here. Eventually, I will try something else! ;)

Though the restaurant looks very simple, food is Very Delicious. The Perfect Thai food is here. Prices are very Reasonable. Space is limited though, so good for a small gathering and best for Takeout. We love this place and take our friends & families there quite often. Why not, if we can get a great meal at a great price at the heart of Kentlands, easily accessible from Rockville, Gaithersburg, Germantown, Boyds, etc.

Pad thai was meteokre but for some reason it really affected me negatively. Spring rolls ok but didn't have homeade duck sauce, gross packets.

I ordered drunken noodles with shrimp and the shrimp were still transparent and very undercooked. Other than that the padang chicken curry was on point, chicken satay was tasted excellent as well. I called about the shrimp and they were nice enough to give me a credit for if I come back again. Maybe worth giving a second chance, but undercook shrimp is a huge nono!!!

Good food, I normally get either Thai red curry, drunken noodle (wish it had peppers in it and the noodles weren't so stuck together), or the pineapple fried rice. Always good tasting but on the smaller portion size. It will fill you up, dont get me wrong but don't count on having any leftovers. Normally very quick service!

We started getting bad experience after this old lady (new employee) mess up the food for 4x. When we are ordering food they didn't pick it up on time. Usually it takes 3-4 seconds and they will pick it up already but since we've been there since 2017 they know our numbers and every-time we call is takes 20-30 mins before they pick it up so basically we need to call 10x until someone will answer. Our food wasn't good anymore than before the drunken noodles was missing some ingredients and pad thai is not that good. This time was very bad & disappointed! And will never come back again. I really thought this is one of our memories because we kept going back in this restaurant. But this time we are Done!! Thank you & God-bless!

After reviewing the restaurant for thanking them for their service. I started to have bad experience. I think i jinx it! Started on November first i ordered additional entree (suicide noodles) than normal which is Suicide Noodles you can choose either mixed seafood, shrimp & etc. (your choice of meat) and then when i got the food it’s mixed seafood i ordered shrimp I specifically say that because the lady that i always talk through phone wasn’t there so that’s the reason why.

I was disappointed about what happen and i call them to let them know what I received. (Basically i forgive them) however when i ordered suicide noodle again the next week it’s the same thing! So this time i call and returned it back to them. So we have to drive 25mins literally. We are so mad! Like what’s going on you know? I understand if they’re busy but not this 2nd time with their mistakes.

The 3rd time, it’s the same thing again! But this time the shrimp was there however they’re missing ingredients which is eggplant (one of the favorite in suicide noodles) I was like omg! Not again!

So many thing have had happened for 4 weeks every weekend every time we order there’s always something. I honestly never have a problem before but this time was too much and very disappointed.

Our recent order their mistake was no thai pepper in it. It’s like lomein and the taste wasn’t suicide noodles. We have to call them to let them know since we are already at home and we live farther than before.

Both dishes tasted great and the flavors were well-balanced. It's nice to have this restaurant in the neighborhood and we look forward to our next order. Pretty good fried rice

Food is ok, not as good as Thai Tanium. It took 75 minutes to fill an order placed online. When I got the order home, they didn't include a soup and appetizer I ordered but was charged for. When I tried to call the phone number on the receipt, nobody picked up after calling multiple times over 30 minutes.

The best Thai food I’ve ever had.

From the food to the service, it’s all top class. Every dish is masterfully balanced with spices and herbs that massage the palette. Sometimes gently using broad strokes that make you sigh, sometimes digging in to evoke a reflexive gasp, and always leaving you glowing. Highly recommended food: Green curry for a satisfying spice. Pair it with Choo-Choo rice for a sweet, herbaceous balance. For appetizers, the curry puffs are rich without being greasy and are served with a light, non-viscous sweet sauce that make it tough to stop at just one. If you feel you can eat more, and it’s way too easy to, try the Tom Ka soup which is a slightly creamy coconut-based sweet and spicy soup.

I cannot emphasize enough the care put into balancing these dishes so all the flavors can shine through. It reveals notes that otherwise would be overwhelmed. It’s like putting on glasses for the first time, and it’s addictive.

Next the service. It’s Covid time so service is a little special, but having come here a number of times before the pandemic I can say it is as careful as ever. If you’re even remotely in the mood for Thai, pick up something from Thai Express. Never had a bad dish here. You will not be disappointed.

This is the best Thai restaurant in all of Montgomery county. Uniquely authentic, impressively delicious, and extremely well-priced. I recommend this small gem of a restaurant to everyone.

Went here last week for pick up. Got a chicken pad Thai and a tofu veggie drunken noodle. The store was allowing too many people inside and not following social distancing rules. Further we went there 10 minutes after the order was ready and they told my bf to wait it wasn’t ready- only to find out the girl working there let the order sit another 10 minutes. Got home orders were cold. Chicken pad Thai was flavorless no spice no tamarind. Tofu drunken noodle had ground chicken in it and so was inedible. Called the store for a refund and they said they’d call back next morning. It’s been a week and still no call and no refund. I get this is covid but some basic customer services skills would be nice especially cuz I tipped so much. Too bad thai tanium is closed.. they are wayyy better than this place.

Love Love Love Thai Express! BEST Thai food in the area. Don't bother going to Rockville, or Germantown. Consistent great food and reasonable prices. Wonderful service been coming here for years with the family.

Awful service. After I asked why they are working without hand gloves and masks are hanging under theirs chins, they kept me waiting for my order additional 25 minutes after time of my pick-up. Checking order on my phone again and again. Working extremely slow. I will never come there again as customer and never gonna take delivery from them.

Worst service! Bad experience! Won’t go back again!! Customers are their last priority!

Appetizers were OK. Main dishes don’t compare to ThaiTanium, which is nearby.

I've only ever ordered pad se ew with tofu and the house salad with asian ginger dressing, but it's because I love it so much! It's delicious each and every time. The service is always friendly and fast. I recommend giving them a try.

Food quality is excellent. Service is usually good, but sometimes it seems like they cook things out of order. People who came in after we did got their food before us, ended up waiting for a long time. But other than that it's really good Thai food.

Amazingly good food prepared quickly and served fast. I've been eating here for a few years now and have never been served a poorly prepared dish.

Lovely place and amazing Thai food

I came here because this had a decent rating. Our family orders Thai once a week from different restaurants, usually on Sundays but we ordered from here on a weekday. Here are my thoughts on this place:

PROS: Order was correct for what we ordered (usually ask for 3 slices of lime and item cooked without onions), decent selection items, super close to my house,

CONS: The flavors of the food didn't seem to match up with traditional Thai food (Thai spicy had not heat to it all, Pad Thai didn't taste right), meats were overcooked in our food so a bit chewy, when using GPS to navigate to the location (you need to keep a look out since it won't bring you to the exact location.)

Tried their thai noodles today. It's too sweet and the noodles taste funny. Really disappointed. The red curry chicken I ordered last time, however, is above average. So I guess some of their dishes are still good. The price is okay. Overall, I would rate this place 3 stars and I only recommend curry dishes and fried rice.

Amazingly fast service. Friendly staff, and cozy seating. We got a few rice and noodle dishes; all excellent. The fried appetizers were put in containers with the corners cut off, to keep them crispy - smart!

Very good. We go back at least once a week.
