The Sushi was very bland, very small, the ginger: 2 very small pieces, the Wasabi small smear on the side of the plate. A very sorry meal for $21🫤👎🏿

I used to go here when I was younger and even 15 years later the food is amazing. Foods fresh and the aptmospere is lovely. Also the servers are nice and very attentive. :)

I’ve come here a few times for takeout while staying at the hotel nearby. The food is very good and the fish tastes fresh. Also the lady who works there is so nice!

Loved it! I got a bento box. For $21, it came with two spring rolls, two dumplings, a california roll, chicken, rice, and soup. Was very full and satisfied!

Messed up online order via Toast. Called store and was told to come back to get new roll, I appreciate but was not feasible. On the phone coming back to the store to show the roll was wrong, was never expressed to me. I also was told the roll was prepared correctly from menu which was clearly not.

This was one of our first times getting sushi at a restaurant. Consequently we needed help figuring out what to order and how much food the different dishes came with. Our servers were very patient and friendly throughout and made it a special experience! The food was wonderful and there was a large selection of Saki to try. Nancy helped us pick out a plum Saki that was incredible. We will definitely return soon!

This place was impeccable! We came here for the first time for lunch and the service was wonderful. The food was delicious. And they had tons of cooked sushi options - as a pregnant lady who is always craving sushi, I’m so glad to have found this place!

Great little sushi shop. Not best of the best, but everything was great and no complaints.

Not sure how ratings are not a little higher. Since pandemic till now AUG23 I've done takeout about twelve times.
They have the best Thai Basil Fried Rice (shrimp) I've had. I thought I'll eat around the raisins, but I was wrong they worked great.
Pork Gyoza app is excellent.
Lettuce Wrap app (chopped chkn in brown sauce) was excellent. A new favorite for this place.
General Tso chicken was great one time as it was juicy white meat. But another time I got it and the meat was dried out. Also, Spicy Crispy Chicken is about the same but diff sauce. It was not crispy at all, and the same white meat ckn was mostly dry.
Pad Thai Chicken & Shrimp (pics) was pretty good.
Singapore Noodles Chicken (pic) was pretty tasty but a bit dry. Had to add some soy at home.
Seaweed salad was pretty tasty. Would order again.
Would not order their Thai Seafood Soup (pic). It's ok, but if you've had the soup from a Thai restaurant, you'll be disappointed in this one.

very clean place and food was fantastic and fresh. didn’t feel gross and bloated after the meal, but felt full and good. the service was amazing as well with the waitress who made us laugh and feel very welcome and comfortable. would absolutely recommend to others.

best sushi I’ve ever had

Our lunch at Katana Sushi was very good. We had the Chicken Tempura Bento Box ($15.95) and Kung Pao Chicken ($13.95). The food was delicious which included hot & sour soup (or miso) with our selections, and the portion sizes were very generous. The service was friendly and helpful. We are looking forward to another visit in the near future.

This place was wonderful. The food was high quality and Nancy, the owner was really nice and we enjoyed talking to her. Great atmosphere, well decorated and clearly a place that puts effort and pride into the quality of the culinary experience. The menu is filled with dishes from various cultures and there are 18 pages to choose from. We will definitely have to return to try more of their dishes.

Used to be our go to spot but quality has dropped over the years. Hope it improves in the future

We got General Tso’s Chicken, which was 1/2 General Tso’s POTATOES! The little bit of chicken that was in the dish had 1/4” of breading/flour around it. It was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING! The Crab Rangoon must have been leftover from the weekend. So chewy that it, too, was EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING! Sorry KATANA, if you don’t change the QUALITY of your food, you will be putting a PERMANENT CLOSED SIGN on your front door. We had 2 families over for dinner, so, word will get around!!!

The food tasted reallyyyy good, I loved it all. They were very fast bringing the food. It was pricey but worth it. BUT, the whole entire time we were there they stood and WATCHED us eat and talk it was soooo uncomfortable. They never left our table it was almost as if they didn’t trust us for something. The servers are nice for the most part but there were some points where they were rude.

I don’t see option of “zero” star. Please hear me out. The lady taking order was super rood, she literally ignored multiple times while taking orders. She was treating like they offering free food. I spoke to owner about her overall behavior and he ignored. Then I decided to leave the place. Watch out guys seems to be family business and they don’t care dine-in customers. Food is very pricy. Don’t waste your money rather go to some other place where your could enjoy the dinner!!

We had arrived from out of town, had just travelled 3 hours from VA to attend a concert at Merriweather and were staying at the Holiday Inn across the street. We were running late for the show, but starving, so we stopped in here. The staff was super friendly and accommodating when we said we didn't have a lot of time. We had a Dancing Dragon roll (spicy tuna, shrimp, and spicy sauce) and it was so fresh, flavorful, absolutely wonderful. Restaurant was clean, well decorated, comfortable, nice environment--wish we had had more time to stay and relax and sample more from their super impressive variety of specialty rolls & fun signature cocktails (cool digital touchscreen menu). Really enjoyed!!...wish we lived in MD, we'd eat there on the regular. Will be back-- likely will be our go-to pre-concert meal when we come to Merriweather. Thanks, Katana!

I have nothing good to say about my experience with Katana Sushi. The food was way overpriced for the quality. Worst sushi I’ve had to date. Will not return or recommend.

The food is good but a little expensive.

Not sure how anyone could find this place good. The Crab Rangoon wasn't great and the filling was just bland to a point I had to wash my mouth out to get rid of the taste after having a couple. The Yaki Soba also just had no flavor and only thing i could eat out of it was the meat. The noodles seemed overcooked and weren't appetizing at all.

For my Fiancé her sushi was very bland. The tempura was undercooked and the shumai was just doughy that it probably was also undercooked.

Again I am not sure how this place has 4 solid stars and charges nearly 80 bucks for subpar food that a food truck could do 100 times better.

Never ordering from them again.

Signapore noodles were too salty.

We were on our way south from NY and stopped in Elkridge for the night. Ordered from Katana and couldn’t have been happier. The seaweed salad is one of the best we have had, very crunchy. Thai seafood soup had just the right spice.

Fresh & delicious sushi!

Food is always on point! Fried shrimp shumai (fried dumplings), shrimp tempura (and veggies) & shrimp basket (kinda like shrimp spring rolls). All fried but freakin yummy. They are always consistent too. Thank you.

I came five min before my online order said it would be ready. Sat outside waiting for 45 min, yes 45 min. Threatened to walk twice and was told two more minutes. If I didn’t already pay online on my card I would’ve left. We frequent this place cuz the food is great, but after this we’ll prob take a break for a number of months. Maybe they’ll figure some stuff out. Got lots of I’m sorrys but ya know what’s better than I’m sorry I made you wait outside for 45 minutes? 10% off or a coupon for the next time we come, if we come again. Very disappointed, again used to be a place we frequented. That will now change.

The quality of the sushi is low. I had the yellow tail and it had no firmness and smelled. The garlic chicken had vegetables that were tough, string beans (weird for this dish) soggy, and didnt have any of the more traditional vegetables like ear mushrooms. In fact no mushrooms at all. The chicken was coated in something before it was stir fried. Lots of money for food that is sub par.

Hands down the best sushi in Howard county, possibly even the greater Baltimore area. I’ve been coming to this place for over 10 years. The food is always superb, consistent and the owners and staff are always friendly and smiling. This restaurant is a staple in Howard county.

I love this restaurant. Every time I stay at the holiday inn Express across the parking lot I have dinner here. Katana has a very high quality of sushi and the quantity is good to. I love the Rainbow roll and usually get the sushi and sashimi combo to go w it. This does me for 2 meals. Thank you Katana for staying open during cv19 (take out only). You guys rock!
