This is an average, family owned Chinese restaurant. The restaurant is clean and bright. We came for dinner and ordered 2 dinner combos and another dish. I have to say that the taste of Hot & Sour Soup was great. It had the right spiciness and sourness. The consistency is just right. And the portion is bigger than other restaurants. After the soup, I was really looking forward to the main course. But, the taste of main dishes was average at best. The materials were of good quality but the workmanship was not that good. Cuts were coarse and irregular. The service was minimum. You place your orders at the counter, refill your own drink and pick up fortune cookies your self when done.
For the price, I may be back if I want a quick bite. If I want to enjoy a good Chinese food, I may find another restaurant.

Update 4/20/23 so ordered my typical order, General tso chicken it was packaged differently and also the quality went down hill 100% I called them and they said a new owner took over recently, this sucks so bad because it used to be the best spot I knew of and the new owners are CLEARLY CUTTING CORNERS ON QUALITY no longer 100% white meat in the chicken , tastes worse and just all around dissatisfied. Sorry but I will probably no longer order from them again, and it used to be my GO TO SPOT.
The new owners CLEARLY don’t care about quality and won’t use the same quality ingredients as the old owners. I would recommend not to come here purley from the change of quality.

There's nothing like getting a combo of Tso Chicken & Shrimp. Never had a bad order. Mrs Lee took care of her customers. Got an order from work last week...... and was like, hey, something different. The taste wasn't there like it once was, and the shrimp got smaller. So i called the store asking if Mrs Lee was on vacation...... And the team told me she had RETIRED. OH NO. Knew something was different. Well may give them one more try. THANK YOU MRS LEE FOR ALL YOU'VE DONE FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS WITH HOT FRESH FOOD AND THE LUV YOU PUT IN EVERY DISH. ENJOY YOUR RETIREMENT.

The gentleman who took my order was cheerful and kind. I ordered 3 different dishes for about $50.00. The combination dinner with egg roll wonton soup fried rice and shrimp and vegetables was excellent. That was a lot of food 😊. I’d definitely go back again. Very clean.

This place USE to be consistently excellent! They changed ownership we tried twice it was awful both times. We took a break for awhile tried again after reading their replies about how they were going to try to improve. Can’t believe it but it’s actually worse ! Seriously this place use to be so good that when people would call in an order they say 2 and a half hour wait it was no problem because the food was that awesome. Cutting all these corners to save money in the end you will lose business. Let’s not leave out how quality and taste and portions have gone down while their prices have gone up. Sad they destroyed this business.

Have ordered several times since new owners took over and food and service has been good. Today, I ordered the beef and garlic, chicken fried rice, wonton soup, udon chicken and chicken egg foo young. Service is fast and driver is extremely polite and friendly. The beef and garlic is amazing, tender beef and veggies in a delicious brown garlicky sauce. It was very impressive. Will definitely order it again! Went great with the chicken fried rice. The egg foo young was delicious as well. The only room for improvement that I can recommend is to maybe change the brown sauce for the egg foo young. It was very dark brown and thick and tasteless. You had to take a knife to smear it on. It wasn't like the normal egg foo young gravy that is thinner in consistency and sweeter. All was well though as I just didn't eat the gravy. Wonton soup is very tasty but needs more wontons. I frequent different locations as well as locations in New York and the wonton soup is always plentiful with wontons. Approx 5 in a small and 9 or 10 in a large. The container is usually overflowing with wontons. Other than that, the customer service is amazing and orders are prioritized and delivered quickly. We even received complimentary, free cheese fried wontons which were delicious and a very nice surprise. Thank you!😊 Will continue to recommend and will be ordering again soon!

Update from 11/22/24. Have visited twice in the past week and the food is excellent. Staff are so incredibly kind and friendly. Your business is truly appreciated. The sesame chicken is delicious, huge chunks of white meat chicken and a sweet and savory sauce topped with sesame seeds. The pork spare ribs are also delicious. I love how they are on the plainer side and not full of sauce. Seasoned just right. Beef with onions and green pepper is so tasty and the beef is soft and easy to chew. What I most appreciate about Lee's Asian Bistro is how the staff treats you. As a customer, I am always welcomed and server's are eager to make sure that you are happy with your food and the service. The food was very good and the service was great. I tried the special. The gentleman in the front was very friendly and gave me the wifi password. Food was plenty and came with a soft drink for the special.

Delicious Chinese food. We had the schezuan beef and sesame chicken with mixed vegetables.

Portion sizes were amazing. The chicken chunks were the size of our child's fist! Food was delivered quickly and was still steaming! Will definitely order from here again.

Service is NOT slow. Lee's Asian Bistro is that busy and that in demand.
YOU MUST ALLOW extra time if you wish to enjoy their great food. Bare minimum, I call an hour ahead to place an order. During peak times (evenings and weekends especially), I call two hours ahead. Our family has been enjoying food prepared by the Lee Family for many, many years. The quality and quantity are superior. The Lee Family and their staff are very organized and hustling to freshly fulfill orders every minute they are open. It is quite a pace they keep up and I'm glad they do as their food is delicious and a real treat.

The inside is nothing fancy but very clean and wonderful. The food is so good its like normal Asian food but always made perfectly. If you spend more than 50 dollars on a meal they give you free sugar donuts and I love them.

This is my very FIRST review of ANYTHING. If you haven't been to "Madam Lee's" (my quotes) you haven't ever eaten chinese food . Absolutely NUMBER ONE . You've never seen General Tso's Chicken like this and even the SMALL Wonton soup has - not one, not two but THREE dumplings.
Eat in or take out it's the last Chinese Restaurant you'll ever need.

Egg rolls are perfect. Lo mein is perfect. Yup, just what I'm looking for in a Chinese restaurant.

EDIT: I really hate to have to do this but it seems another local restaurant I loved was taken over by new management and the quality has gone downhill. I'm glad to hear Mrs. Lee can enjoy her golden years, but the new management needs to ask for her recipes or something. The chicken had a gummy rubbery texture, the sauce was all kind of bland and way too thick, my son's chicken fried rice was completely unseasoned, they don't give you complementary wontons and duck sauce anymore, they don't even have real soy sauce on the tables anymore... Just.. so much wasn't the same. Like it's now on par with every other mediocre Chinese takeout place in the area, only the prices are ridiculous. I feel cheated honestly.

Friendly over the phone, and in person. Not the fanciest place but very clean and inviting. The food is a notch above the average Asian take out, for the same price. Huge juicy chicken pieces, so tired of getting mostly breading from Chinese take out and I never get that here. Consistently fresh tasting. Appetizers like egg rolls and soup also taste fresh and well made instead of after thoughts. Wontons have good filling and broth is tasty. To be fair me and the wife really on get the basic stuff, sesame amd general tsos chicken, but it's excellent. I'm sure the rest of the menu is probably similar quality. Usually spend about 15$ for a dinner for two. Definitely the best Asian take out I've found in the belcamp/aberdeen area.

Called my order in for 2 of the house special wonton soups. Let me say the order was ready less than 15 minutes. It usually comes with wonton strips, but they gave us an extra container of broth. Definitely appreciated that. Broth was light and tasty. I could twice out of it, exactly what they described. I'd go back and try a few other things. Too bad they closed Mondays lol guess I'll have to come by Tuesday and try something else. Definitely recommend 10/10.

Ok, wait!! Something happened and I am changing my review from 5 stars. The food is different. The Gen tso sauce is different, the pad Thai is different, the brown sauce is different. I thought it was a fluke, but no. The past 4 times we have been a little disappointed. The tastes are off. It is still quality, but hard to be happy about food that goes from wow to just like every other place. Sadly no longer worth the drive. There never use to be a seat or a parking place. Now there is no line and plenty of space so I guess it isn't just us with this opinion.

Excellent food!!! Have ordered here several times, my family had a great experience with it last night, and we couldn't ask for a better experience. The most delicious dish Beef in garlic sauce as the best protagoist on the table, and I couldn't stop tasting the magic from Thai red curry chicken. Unlike other restaurants I tried before, the Chef seems to spend a lot of effort into the sauce. Furthermore, I appreciate the folks' effort in Lee's, and their attitude towards customers and free item for us.

I’ve been going here for years because it WAS the best. It’s absolutely awful now. As the other reviews stated, it appears they’ve changed owners. Nothing is the same. The fried rice is terrible and flavorless. The general Tso’s chicken is soggy, the sauce is disgustingly sweet, and the chicken is low quality and gristly. I should have known because my order was ready in 15 minutes on a Friday night. It used to take over a hour to get food (and it was worth the wait!). Won’t be back.

My colleague recommended this place to me. This was our first time and the food was simply excellent!! We ordered online for takeout and had a variety of appetizers, soup and dinners. The food was very fresh and delicately seasoned. Portions and prices were very reasonable. While the place is a little more distant than we like, there is no question in my mind that this will be our new “go to” place in the future. The food was ready upon our arrival as promised, prepared as we asked, and handled by a friendly cashier.

This was by far the worst Chinese food I have ever eaten in my life. I spent $50 and ate two mouthfuls. Simple things like the egg rolls and won ton soup were not edible. I love to eat, but left this place angry. The best word to describe the food here is "disgusting." DO NOT EAT HERE!

The atmosphere was underwhelming. It is advertised as a bistro but, as soon as I walked in, I realized that it was just another Chinese place. The food was worse. I ordered lo mein, edamame, egg drop soup, and steamed dumplings. The lo mein was shriveled and burnt, the egdrop soup was overcooked, the dumplings weren’t great. The only food item that stood out was the edamame. The service was the highlight of the meal. The first bit of food took only 3 mins to get to the table and the entree took about 8. I think they should’ve taken their time and cooked a good meal rather then rush and make most of the food unsuitable for a dog.

My family and I have been ordering Lees for years now , if I had to guess at least 6 years now. I know times are tough but the quality of their food has gone down drastically over the past year, not only has the quality gone down but the prices have increased significantly. 4 extra dollars to get a large of most menu items. If you get general Tsos or sesame chicken , that might mean 3 extra pieces if you’re lucky . I would alway say Lees was the best Asian fusion around , can no longer say that . Some of the staples that my family and I got were general Tsos chicken, different types of lo mein, Thai red curry chicken , crab cheese wontons and hot and sour soup. The chicken use to be high quality , the past two times it has been mush and mostly breading and mushy, they changed their cheese wontons , once it was plump and filling and now is a husk of what it use to be , and their overall ingredients in everything has gone down. From their protein to the vegetables in their hot and sour soup ( they use to have fresh mushrooms and now has been replaced with rubbery canned mushrooms) . Lees use to separate themselves from every Asian fusion around. I will likely not be back.

Stopped by during a road trip to try the food, and I’m glad we did! We got the two dinner combos (sesame chicken and shrimp broccoli). LOVED the soups. Definitely give this place a try!

Very happy to have this place in the neighborhood! We used to drive down to Abingdon for Chinese, but in the Belcamp/Riverside area, you can't beat the food here! The portions are more than ample and good value for the price. They are also very generous with condiments!

I've never been inside so I can't rate the atmosphere, but I moved to this area and my favorite Chinese spot was wok to go in Bel Air Maryland, but I like this place better. I'm a huge fan of combination Mei fun noodles with all of the meat and bone in spare ribs when it comes to Chinese food and obviously egg rolls. All three of these are phenomenal and they are very fast with delivery and give you free food if you spend over a certain amount. Thumbs up. I definitely recommend and the prices aren't bad at all. They have dinner combinations specials where you get a hefty portion and an egg roll pork fried rice and soup. Not one or the other. Most places have soup or egg roll and the prices are very good!

My in-laws did take out, and it was some of the worst Food I've ever had. I ordered wonton soup, and there was absolutely no filling inside the wontons! Someone had just made little dough hats and put them in to look like one tons with a few scraps of shredded pork at the bottom. The fact that they couldn't get a simple soup right is enough to have turned us all off from buying from this restaurant ever again. They should be ashamed of themselves for serving up such a horribly poor product. Who on Earth does that? Don't waste your money.

Yes... Unfortunately new owners and the quality has dropped. The egg rolls I usually get smelled and tasted off... I had to toss them and overall food wasn't as tasty. This was my go-to. So unfortunate. But I wish the best for the original owner Mrs. Lee.

There are some minor problems with my order, where they didn't put few things I want in one of my dishes, but the front desk young man is very polite and solve the problem for us with a replacement. My experience is definitely not as bad as what others said in the comments, and they are simply exaggerating in some ways in my opinion. Definitely will come back here again

Noticed the parking spots were empty when it used to be no parking spots open before. And usually this place would be busy inside as well. I haven't been over here in 2 months but deceided to order my usual cajun seafood combination tonight. And it was terrible! Didn't even come close to the usual cajun seafood sauce. This dish was bland had no flavor or cajun seasoning. Plus they added bunch of veggies instead. There would normally be huge scallops in this dish and I saw 3 tiny really skinny scallops as if they sliced up one small scallop they could find to put in.

I called back immediately and asked if they changed chefs and the kid informed that they did not but after mentioning that this dish comes with lemon and not lime the boy said it's his dad's fault and to return the order for them to remake it. I said no since who knows what they would do to my food if I took it back. Kid was apologetic saying the owners went to New York and there is only 2 chefs.

I tell you what after reading the reviews I am convinced this place has new chefs and new owners. Most definitely will not be returning.

Best Asian bistro in Harford county food is always high quality and tons of it. I have been eating here for years and it's never changed. I look forward to when we decide on Lee's cause I know the quality we are going to receive!!!

We were passing through the town and stop by here to have a quick lunch, and the experience is great. The food is delicious and they gave quit a lot for this price too. Definitely will come back again if we got a chance to revisit!

Lee's was once a regular part of our weekly work rotation for lunch. Something changed maybe two or so months ago and the food is not nearly as good as it used to be. Still OK Chinese food but priced too expensively when similar meals can be found for less.

The real Lee sold the name and business and the food is not the same. Lee’s Asian Bistro is no longer the best.
General Tso had no sauce. The breading is different, more like a chicken nugget. The “sauce” was more of a thin coating that tasted like buffalo sauce mixed with honey. No little pieces of red pepper and absolutely no broccoli. The veggie egg rolls are very small.
The veggie lo mein is ok but it’s dry. I paid extra for beef to be added and it is good.
We won’t be back. Lee we’ll miss you.

This place was my absolute favorite to go to for Chinese but then management or ownership changed and the rice changed. May not mean a lot to some people but I can tell the difference the old sticky rice is where it's at and now this rice tastes like instant rice to me I'm so used to the old rice I couldn't even enjoy my meal that involved the rice I even tried this place again months later after new ownership thinking things will be different but absolutely not.still a great place if you're not funny about the rice.

I’ve been going to Lee’s since it opened here. Was a very loyal customer. Their Orange Chicken was “Out of this world”. Crispy & delicious. Everything we purchased was. I say WAS because we went there last night & they changed their cook or recipes. It was VERY special, a (9.5) now it’s like EVERY other Chinese restaurant I’ve been to In United States a (6.0). It's been long time for me to place order here, and something new surprised me tonight. I was questioned the way how they cook my general tso chicken for me since I wasn't expecting that the taste can be promoted, but I was wrong. More specifically, I chose the way that keeps the chicken tender, and that made my palate further feel the tenderness and freshness of the chicken (instead of hard and dry as before). More than that, the sauce they use definitely adds other umami-sweet flavors instead of plenty of soy sauce and artificial white sugar.

The food is not nearly as good as it was when Mrs Lee was there. Our chicken wings in the appetizer sampler were bloody and under cooked, the general tso's and orange chicken were not longer crispy but mushy. Food is now blah. Sorry but we won't be returning.

My husband and I ordered 2 Lunch Specials:
Orange Chicken
Chicken Broccoli
Also we ordered Small Veggie Lo Mein and 2 Veggie Rolls.

Our food was cooked and served with care. Although the recipe used for Orange Chicken was slightly different than we remembered, it was delicious.
We loved how the meat was more tenderly cut and prepared with yummy orange zest!
As always, both meals were flavorful and filling😘

There's nothing like getting a combo of Tso Chicken & Shrimp. Never had a bad order. Mrs Lee took care of her customers. Got an order from work last week...... and was like, hey, something different. The taste wasn't there like it once was, and the shrimp got smaller. So i called the store asking if Mrs Lee was on vacation...... And the team told me she had RETIRED. OH NO. Knew something was different. Well may give them one more try. THANK YOU MRS LEE FOR ALL YOU'VE DONE FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS WITH HOT FRESH FOOD AND THE LUV YOU PUT IN EVERY DISH. ENJOY YOUR RETIREMENT.

Since Mrs. Lee’s retirement, the food is NOT the same. The crab wontons are way too sweet and not fried well. Also, after spending $63 in their establishment, I was given only 4 soy sauce packets, duck sauces and mustard packs. When Mrs. Lee was there, more was given. And lastly, the combination fried rice only had 1 large shrimp in it. #MrsLeePleaseComeBack

It can take a while to get your food, they are busy. Anyone saying the food is bad must be suffering from a stroke or they're a Karen. This food is the best chinese american food I've had and I always order when I'm in the area. Portions are Generous, food is crispy and fresh (crispy beef is awesome) and they never have gotten my order wrong in 7 years. I pray they never go out of business. Its Pricier than the slop you're used to because they actually cook real food.

I keep hoping things will change, it has...for the worse. I ordered two lunch specials and was told you can only get a can soda with it.
First order was Sesame chicken with Lo Mein, second order General T'so with Lo Mein. I have never had dry Lo Mein with no vegetables, the Sesame chicken taste more like orange chicken; too sweet. The female that took the order quoted the subtotal, so when I asked the delivery guy if he $4, he said "No tip?" I told him he would be getting a $3 time for what I was quoted "twenty-three dollars;" he then shows me the receipt with 23 & change minus taxes and delivery 🙄 She's going to cost him tips.

The food was pretty good. I enjoyed the wonton soup so much. The wait was terrible but they tried to make it right and admitted the error. This will be my go to for carryout Chinese.

We have lived in MD for over a year now and have struggled to find a place that has good American Chinese food. We finally decided to give Lee's a shot because of how close by they are to our house and we were pleasantly surprised! The General Tso's chicken was definitely the best we have had so far and the Sesame chicken was also pretty good just a little on the tart side. Both had a great crispy texture and very large pieces of white meat chicken. The only thing that would make the experience 10/10 would be changing the rice. The rice has the texture and flavor of instant rice and I definitely wish it was steam cooked jasmine rice instead. But overall a very good experience, will be buying from here again!

This hands down is the best American- Chinese food restaurant I've ever been to. They actually serve you: nice, big, juicy cuts of meats in ALL of your orders. It's definitely not those sketchy, low quality cuts of meat you get at your typical take out places. I'd give this place 6 out of 5 stars, but they're always 10 or so minutes late on all orders. I'm not disappointed at this because all the food is great and fresh, but they're time management is almost always off. So take your time picking up your food.

The driver couldn’t find my address and delivered to another address and refuses to bring the food to the proper address once corrected, I would highly stay away from getting delivery from this restaurant! Pretty horrendous customer service as well, Driver came across as ignorant and rude!

This is fried rice is so old and mushy. The General T'so was sweet. I got a lunch special, and wasn't asked if I wanted a drink, soup,egg roll.

By far the best Chinese food in Harford County. My husband and I love going to Lee's Asian Bistro around once a month. We will usually stop by and get the lunch menu as the food is enough for two or maybe even three meals depending on the day. It's definitely worth eating here!

My wife and I went there to eat. We were starting to place our order when the waitress asked us if we were eating in or taking out. I replied, " We would like to eat in."Then we were rudly interrupted by the guy at the register who said that the dining room was closed with no explanation. I'm not sure if he was the manager or not. It did not make sense to me since there were more than 2 hours before they closed, and there were customers already eating there. I will not patronize this place, ever!

Okay this is the second time I've had problems with this restaurant, I really like the food that's why I'm still giving 3 stars, but the first time I ordered sweet and sour shrimp and they gave me sweet and sour chicken. It was on the receipt so I only paid for sweet and sour chicken so I didn't make a fuss over it. Tonight I called and said exactly, " I would like to place an order for delivery" the man said okay. We went through everything two hours later where is my food. I call back he says oh I thought you placed for pick up. No. The first thing I said when he answered was "hello. I would like to place an order for delivery!" It's just frustrating. So now I have two charges because apparently he didn't charge me for delivery and I have to wait for the first charge to fall off. Who ever is working the phones I simply ask that you pay attention. Frustrated. But again I love the food here but jeez guys.

The food is very good, reasonable priced. Also, I would like to let management how pleased we are for the improvement on the packing for pick up orders, an excellent 👍 investment on their part.
We will definitely continue ordering takeout from this restaurant.

I had been settling for “ok” Chinese food and saw reviews on my local towns’ fb page for Lee’s and tried it for the first time..I’m hooked!! The food is absolutely delicious!! Chicken and beef tender and veggies perfect. Each dish tastes amazing and has its distinct flavors portraying the dish..in the past other places make most thinks taste just about the same. Everything tastes cooked fresh and made to order..hot and delicious. They even put in a free couple of hot sugar donuts in my order!! I’m in love and sold!! Portions are generous and quality is excellent.

My family only eats from the best.

My meal was ok, but service was really slow. I also found that their menu showed my order should have been $11.95, but it rang up as $13.50. I didn't quibble. I just assumed they recently raised their prices but hadn't updated the menus yet.

I'll try them again another time to see if they are better.

If you enjoy Chinese cuisine I highly recommend this place. You won’t be disappointed. Omg best ever!!! We've been told that the food was great here but never got around to trying it till tonight. You just gained 2 new customers for life!! Awesome food. I got the shrimp with cashews and it was the best I've ever had. Hubby had the triple delight and he was chewing and saying this is sooo amazing the whole meal lol..the fried wonton..shut the door ...I've had them from so many places and these were the best!! Best Chinese food in town. I've tried several entrees and all were fresh, large portions, and always great service. During peak times the wait is a little longer but worth it!

They really need to do something about the delivery time. I order from here and sometimes I pick up and sometimes I deliver and when I do boy do I regret it. No less than 60 minutes sometimes it’s gets up to 90 or more. Quite ridiculous.

The food here I think is amazing, from mainstream Chinese food dishes to Thai red curry is all extremely well cooked and flavored, and always tastes like fresh vegetables. The service is by far the best around, the twins as referenced by other members are probably the best customer service skills I've ever witnessed at a restaurant.
Con: just one thing is the timing, and not just how long it takes, but how long they say it will take. I usually order $40-$70 worth of food and depending on the time and day usually say between 45 to 90 minutes. It never done on time, lately I've been just adding 15 min to it myself but I've had 3 times where they say 45 and took 90-100 minutes total. This can really be a deal breaker on someone who has a very busy lifestyle.
