We had a wonderful meal at Pimon Thai! We started with the egg rolls as an appetizer, and they were perfectly crispy and full of flavor. They came out hot and fresh, and it was a great way to kick off the meal.

My husband ordered the Yum Woon Sen, and it was absolutely delicious. The dish had such a great balance of tangy, savory, and slightly sweet flavors, with plenty of fresh ingredients that made every bite exciting. He couldn’t stop talking about how much he enjoyed it!

I had the yellow curry, and it was everything I hoped for—rich, creamy, and full of warm, comforting spices. The sauce was so flavorful, and it paired perfectly with the rice. The portion sizes were generous, and I was happily full by the end of the meal.

Overall, it was a fantastic experience with flavorful, well-prepared dishes. We’re definitely looking forward to coming back and trying even more from their menu!

It wasn’t busy at all.. seems like there’s only one server which is ridiculous considering we are a party of 10 people. We ask for the check and it took forever to get to us. We waited longer to pay.. mind you that we were being patient but it just got to the point where we had to get up to go pay at the host stand since we saw someone there… HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. Better your service, but food was alright. Not worth the price for the quality though. Bangkok for the win

Best thai restaurant!
#1 reason: their fresh spring roll SAUCE! Unique to any other. Once I had it way back when they were at their 1st location further up Johnston; well, after that, there is now no reason for me to go somewhere that does not have it. And, I have never been to another restaurant that has it, so why go to those other places? They dont have The Sauce. Pimon Thai has won my loyalty, my heart, and my future thai food orders.

#2 reason: it doesn't really matter because they have THE fresh spring roll SAUCE. And, no i'm not talking about that thick peanut butter sauce everyone else serves. I mean, it was ok, 'til i had The Sauce. But, no, no, not that peanut butter-like sauce! No, I'm talk'n bout that clear little portion of genius; that clear sauce, with the little chunk of cucumber and that little slice of jalapeno, and that clean, wonderful flavor that complements the fresh crisp veggies and slightly warm chicken, held together with the cold, slick, rice paper wrap that is just a little stuck to its neighbor roll...!!!

#3 reason: alright come on, lets just go get us some fresh spring rolls from Pimon Thai! I'll take 2 orders just for myself. And, hey, but, y'all gonna have to order y'all's own cup of sauce, cause i need one just for me and my 2 orders of rolls! And don't think I'm joking, no!

This is one of our favorite restaurants in Lafayette! We eat here almost every time we stop in town. Must haves to try: Garlic Chicken or the Sesame Chicken and the sauce for the Egg Rolls are delicious!

Nobody at front desk at just before 5pm. Resturant says open. Waited 15 minutes-opened closed front door bell. We just left.

I love this place, its actually my favorite restaurant here in Lafayette. Thai food is out of this world amazing, everytime i come it blows my mind how good the food is. The waiters are friendly people and very catering. Been coming for a few years now since my father used to be a regular. I highly recommend getting the Panang curry.

Spent five minutes in lobby no one came restaurant open but no one answered. Could hear them chatting away in the back somewhere. Called out no luck. Even called number git an answer machine

This restaurant is a money hungry restaurant! They charge me 22% tip money as service charge without my concern. My total ticket was $145 and they are such cheap that they took credit card fees as $5 more, but service was it was too bad too, food was bad too ! And you will find 3 door in one lobby washroom door and the kitchen door. It’s really bad restaurant, never suggest anyone to go

Please, please, please clean your restaurant. Your food is excellent but the restaurant is extremely disgusting. We love the food there, but will not return until the place is adequately cleaned.

The food was tasty. They were a little light on the meat in the dishes but very flavorful. Its a nice place and the chef comes out to greet you and thank you for coming which is refreshing. The service was great they treat you like you're a friend coming over for dinner.

When there to celebrate my granddaughters graduation and was disappointed. Ordered food mild, it came out spicy. Waitress claim it was the ginger in the dish that made it spicy. ask to change dish to something milder and was informed that they would charge me for both dishes. How can they charge me for a dish they prepared wrong. Eventually she came out and informed me they can change my order and charge me for the replacement dish. We were a party of 20 and 5 of our parties food was prepared wrong. That was my first and last time going to this place.

Love this local place. Green curry was on point and was able to get fresh thai chili's on the side to spice it up a bit. Pad thai was excellent. Service was a bit slow at times but never totally forgotten about. Room was a bit dark for the type of restaurant and size, etc.

Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. We were at our table for an hour and 20 minutes before our food came. And that was after asking about our food twice. Several people came after us, ate and was gone before we were served. I got the tia ribeye, and it was a mistake. It didn't look like any ribeye I have seen, it was tough and I don't believe it was a ribeye. It had almost no marbeling. And that is what they said took so long. Oh well, we tried.

Our meal was outstanding! We ordered an appetizer sampler tray; my wife got some sort of mushroom soup; and I had an omelet with minced pork and shrimp. The staff were attentive and the restaurant itself was beautifully appointed and had a warm ambience. Again, the food was delicious. I was so thoroughly seduced by my meal that I never even thought to take any pics...

We've really been enjoying the Pad Thai here - it's what my husband usually gets when we have Thai food. I had it here too because I know it's good, but I usually explore other items. Our son realized he loves curry here, and he was very appreciative that they didn't make him have veggies in it! Everything has been very good and the service has been very friendly and helpful. Prices seem to be a little more than other places, but I know we'll be back.

One of my favorite Thai places to go in Lafayette, food is always good, although sometimes service is slow, but it will be worth it! We had the following:

-Crispy Spring Roll
-Fried Calamari
-Crabmeat Fried Rice

-Thai Ribeye - the sauce on the ribeye is very herby, and pack with flavor!

- Crying Tiger Ribeye - delicious and have a little spicy kick to it

-Roast Duck over Fried Rice - Tender roast duck topped with a savory glaze, served over Thai fried rice - the roasted duck was pretty decent, especially since you cannot find roasted duck anywhere in Lafayette

Great experience. The spring rolls were heavenly as well as the egg rolls. Tried Pho 🍜 for the first time and loved it!!

As a vegetarian, I asked for extra vegetables which I was prepared to pay for and I got home to a plate full of onions and bellpeppers. Hardly any tofu which was protein. Didn't eat half of the dish. Flavors are great but why would anyone want that many onions?

The "Host" at the host station tried to stick me and my wife and child next to a table of 24 loud talking people with PLENTY available seating elsewhere in the dining area. We did a "180"...and walked out. Oh, I blasted the host. Buh-bye...never to return. Don't put up with being treated like cattle. Sit where you are comfortable.

I want to start by saying that I am a weekly (or more) customer and I’ve worked in the food industry for years. I hardly ever complain or even let the restaurant know if my order is wrong out fear of being “that person.” I understand firsthand that things happen, it gets busy, there could be waitr orders happening in the back that we don’t know about even if the restaurant looks empty, etc. However, Pimon Thai has missed the mark on many occasions in my experience. For example, I ordered pad Thai with no egg, and opened the box to see a huge fried egg on top. No big deal, I just removed it. Small issues like this have happened a handful of times. That isn’t the biggest deal, though. My main concern for them is that probably 1 out of 3 visits, my order is very late. A few times they’ve told me that no one put my order in. I waited over 2 hours another time for my meal. Sometimes they don’t give an explanation, they just tell me it will be a couple more minutes (usually about 15) but I hear the commotion in the kitchen, and I can pretty safely assume that they are throwing together my forgotten order. I have never been given any compensation, nor have I asked for any. Again, I never write bad reviews, and this isn’t necessarily a bad review. I LOVE Pimon Thai’s food and their staff is very, very sweet. If their food wasn’t so good, I would’ve stopped going a long time ago for the inconveniences that usually arise when I pick up my order. I just hope that the management takes this as a helpful tip to come up with a better system/implement better training/ whatever works for them to resolve this problem. I would hate to stop giving them business for simple, easily preventable mistakes.

Food was good enough, but pricey compared to my usual thai place. I also watched the staff yell at a delivery driver and make a scene at the entrance of the restaurant over spilled food. To be clear, it was obvious that the driver wasn't raising their voice, but the staff was. It just seems like it could have been resolved quietly and left a bad taste in my mouth. Wasn't a good way to spend my quiet evening out with the family.

Not only 2as the food great, but the service was too! The owner went up to each table to thank everyone for eating there. Since it was Valentine's day, they set up a really cute little photo booth and decorated the whole restaurant.

We were there about a week ago for lunch. We’ve been here many times , and the service and food has always been excellent!

However, our server must have been having a bad day or really hates his job. He was the most inattentive and lackluster person I’ve ever dealt with. I had to ask him 3 times (3 TIMES) for a water refill. He sheepishly shrugged after I added the word PLEASE in a begging sort of way. We still left a nice tip. I was a waitress and so I totally get it, but this guy just sucked! Not sure I’ll be back.

Excellent authentic Thai cuisine....great selection....choice of spice based on Thai experiences ...for those unfamiliar I would try a 2 medium....hot is hotttt by even Louisiana standards....soups are to die for...nice clear broth spiced perfectly with hint of special seasonings....if you are familiar with Chinese fried rice his fried rice will make others seem like plain rice....its to die for and one of my favorites anywhere...

Tonight we chose Pimon Thai for date night. It was our first time trying Thai food and I don't think it'll be our last. Pimon Thai seems to have a nice quiet atmosphere with great quality food. Definitely an experience worth having if you're into trying new foods.

The food is wonderful. They do have a bar. If you get an entre you also get soup and an egg roll free. The spring rolls are the best in town.

How this place isn't absolutely slammed is amazing to me. So much flavor! The Gang Panang hot with fried catfish was absolutely outstanding! My wife had the Gang Dang with beef which was also very good. The Egg Rolls were also some of the best I've had. I am a big Thai food fan, and this is the best I've had!
