Despite living in the area, I avoided Thai cuisine in Lafayette for years since I had tried all the restaurants and they all paled in comparison to Thai restaurants in Baton Rouge and larger cities. But this restaurant changes EVERYTHING!

The curries are fantastic. The noodle dishes do not disappoint. Delicious! The staff is kind and the portions are generous.

This gem is best Thai food by far in the Lafayette area. The quality of the dishes at this restaurant competes with Thai restaurants in larger metropolitan areas. They're also able to adapt to custom requests and still make great food! E.g. We request no soy because of gluten allergies.

We've been here a few times now and will continue returning.

Was a bit skeptical on Thai buffet but it was actually delicious and the price was super reasonable! They also have menu for non-buffet items if that is what you prefer!!

I’ve been looking for Pad kra pao everywhere since I’ve gotten back from Thailand. I finally found it, and it was so good! The red curry was also really good and the pad thai. And the mango sticky rice… Mmm!! Everything I tried was great, and the owner, Tom, is super friendly!

I'm a bit of a snob when it comes to Thai food. This location has changed ownership a few times and I have been disappointed in the past. Its close to my home, so I tried again now that its changed. I have been impressed with the quality and portions. It's been awhile since I ordered pad thai anywhere because sometimes it can be dry. I was just in the mood for it ao gave it a shot.. Very flavorful and generous with the beef. Will definitely be back. Nice owner too.

I was really hoping for good food. Alas, the food was not tasty and the onions they used were dry and inedible. Sam, the owner was really personable. I was disappointed in the experience and won’t be back.

The food and service is soooooo delicious

The staff and owners are so nice and attentive. Food is on point. Food tastes so much more flavorfull and authentic than Mimi's Fresh Asian Cuisine, Thai Buffet and Thai Cuisine when they were there. Too bad buffet isn't served on weekend as well. Menu options is also available.

I have always ordered pad thai when going toa Thai restaurant. I loved the chance to try different dishes I was afraid to order from buffet. Everything was delicious! Will come again!

The family that owns and operates Kham Koon is conscientious about offering fresh, flavorful dishes and friendly service. Buffet highlights include melon soup with pork, spicy beef larb, and red curry chicken. If you’ve felt disappointed by buffets presented by previous owners at this location, you might want to try again. We’ll be back.

Why didn't anyone tell me about this place, the food is legit good. Of the few Thai restaurants we have in Lafayette, this is the must place! I tried all 4 and this is my new go to!!!! Amazing food taste quality, my taste buds yells Authentic!!!! Must try to anyone who wants authentic taste and flavors without the burn.

I live outside of the area and stumbled on this place by luck! It is advertised as a buffet restaurant, but is much much more. I would have eaten from the buffet if not dealing with medical and restrictions.There is a menu and you can definitely order off menu or buffet. The owner came to my table and asked what I was looking for. I had culinary restrictions and she made certain to get it right; even making additions to the final dish. I requested extra spicey and boy did she comply. I wish her only the best with her new restaurant!
