Best Thai food in Lafayette! Pad Lad Prik, fried catfish with a balance of sweet, salty, and sour notes, making it a flavorful stir-fry is a MUST try. You can’t go wrong with anything you order here. When in town, my husband and I have to visit. Houston Thai food simply isn’t as good as Lafayette’s Bangkok Thai.

I am from California—home to the highest Thai population in the US, so I’ve had authentic Thai food all my life. Since moving to Louisiana, I had awful experiences with Thai food and was disappointed. It wasn’t until I tried Bangkok Thai that I finally felt relief that I could eat Thai food in Louisiana again! The service was fast, the atmosphere was authentic, and the food was absolutely delicious! I would 100% recommend everyone to eat here if they want Thai food, and I will 100% come here every time I’m craving!

This use to be my favorite place to eat in Lafayette.... Sadly it has gone way down hill.

The flavor is pretty much non existence and they are seeming to use way to much oil in some dishes nowadays.

Incredible food. We have been coming to the restaurant for a few years now and have tried over half the menu and it's all incredible. Best spring rolls in town. And the service there is off the charts. Andrew and Kai are so hot and incredibly attentive and sweet. I'd give this place 6 stars if I could.

I don't know what everyone else is talking about because my Thai beef salad was not good. It tasted like someone put thousand island dressing with fish sauce on top.

What a hidden gem! I absolutely LOVE this place! The service is amazing. The food is superb! You cannot go wrong with a Thai tea. I would definitely recommend giving it a try! I always get the garlic chicken and it NEVER disappoints. My husband LOVES all the different curries. The coconut shrimp app and homemade rolls are divine 😋

Our first time and won't be the last. The egg rolls are delicious. There was quite a wait but waiter was nice and apologetic about it but still took a long time to come back to table with things. So just have patience and don't be in hurry when you go the food is worth. The place is small but if you don't like it just get take out food is worth totally worth it.

The assistance is consistently prompt and courteous. The menu options suit most tastes. I've spent years coming here. Although it can get busy, the staff always offers excellent service.

Loved it when we went for dinner for the first time but the same item I ordered during lunch was not as good as the dinner.

A must visit everytime we go to Lafayette, even if it's only to-go. We got the Haw Mok and Shrimp Fried Rice which were delicious. Orange chicken and calamari are also other fantastic dishes. Service was amazing, Kai helped check us out and was very kind. Whether you get to-go or sit down, you won't regret it.

I had the pineapple cashew fried rice with shrimp and it was delicious! It had plenty of large plump shrimp! I'm giving them a 4 on the food. I did order an appetizer of chicken wings and when I bit into one piece it was half cooked. They were very apologetic and discounted by entire bill! I will eat here again because the food is good, I also ordered the coconut soup!

The service is always friendly and prompt. The food choices accommodate most palates. I’ve been going here for years. It gets crowded but the staff always provide great service. Sometimes I can tell if someone different prepared a dish but it never disappoints. Yellow Curry and Basil fried rice are my favorites.

I was finally able to try the food here, the raves I have heard about this place did not fall short. The food was AMAZING! We had the fried tofu with plum sauce, absolutely delicious! My husband even enjoyed it and he is not a fan of tofu. We also had the Gang Dang Red Curry, it was just AMAZING!
We also had crab Rangoon’s, these were ok. They were small and a bit overcooked but still pretty good.
This will definitely be a go to for Thai food.

Good morning I ate at your restaurant yesterday food tasted fine but I got awfully sick last night. I had pineapple cashew rice with chicken. Also fried dumpling. My boyfriend ate my leftovers when I got home and he also became sick. Please check for expired food

We had dinner at Bangkok Thai while we were in town and it is hands down one of the best meals I've ever had in my life. If it were in my city, it would be a weekly staple. The server was kind and the food was served hot. My son is picky and absolutely gushed over how good it was. Our server was very knowledgeable about how to order vegan as well. 10/10

I’ve been a loyal customer for 9 years, but understaffing is going to kill this place. Only one occupied table, but it takes ten minutes to get seated and another fifteen minutes of waiting (no drink or appetizer orders) while the only server keeps helping to-go customers. I’m usually patient, but I left today. I can’t wait in a nearly-empty restaurant longer than 25 minutes with no end in sight. Sorry.

Update: I gave them another chance. Waited 90 minutes for the food. A family at another table left before their food came. I should have. They really need to decide if they want to be a restaurant for food delivery services or for in-restaurant dining. They’re not capable of doing both. Sadly, I won’t be back.

Well I'm sad. I've been coming here for years, but my last visit was super disappointing. I ordered fried rice with cashews, extra pineapple, and beef like always. This time it was more expensive, and this is how much rice was left after finishing the miniscule amount of beef. Definitely not worth the price increase.

I've eaten here 3 times and each time the food was fantastic. I ordered Pad Thai, which is my go-to for Thai food and it was perfect. The pricing is reasonable and I was able to get my food without MSG. If there's one thing I could mention, don't go if you're in a hurry. Unless the place is empty, your food is coming out slowly. It will be fresh, but it won't be fast. Just plan accordingly because the taste is amazing.

I've eaten at lots of Thai joints in lots of places and Bangkok remains the standard to which all else is compared. They have the most tasteful curry you'll find. Also dig that there's usually some soft lofi music playing in the background.

This is the best Thai restaurant in Lafayette! The food is delicious, packed with enough flavor to delight the senses. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The restraunt is clean and cozy! This is a great date night option.

We bought the 25- Khao Pad KaPrao w( chicken fried rice), 28- Pad khi Mao ( chicken noodles), 4- Fried tofu, and chicken satay . The food tasted good, but we found long hair in the chicken fried rice, and a stapler pin in the chicken noodles. Please take action to make sure this incident does not happen again.

I have been eating here for years and every time it has been excellent quality fresh food. Always great service and very friendly. My go to's are #27 pad se ew, red curry ( gang dang ), Pineapple fried rice, #42 , spring rolls of course, and my gosh the coconut ice cream is the perfect finisher after all that Thai spice.

Rude rude rude. Took 30 minutes for a server to take our order. They quickly walked away and ignored our empty drinks. Food came out an hour and a half later... COLD. Servers ignored many tables who needed help. When we asked to speak to a manager all he had to say was "what do you want me to do?"

Green curry was excellent! Phad Thai was delicious but there wasn’t visible tofu, they were pretty busy so they may have forgotten it. The service was great! It did take a long time to get our food on a busy Saturday night, but if you have the time to wait it’s well worth it. This was my first time, but I will without a doubt return and hopefully next time I can update to 5 five stars!

I do not often leave reviews much less negative one. In all food is pretty great the service here has been the worst of the worst. The manager is one of the rudest and the most unprofessional people I have dealt with in my life. My wife and I had company over on Friday night and placed an order for the three of us. It took extra long for us to get back home due to traffic only to find out that the whole order was wrong. When calling into the restaurant we were told by the so said manager that they would comp the meal because of the mistake. The she switched up the story and told us that she would not hand send someone to pick up the food at 9:00 at night. When I called back after the incident to speak to the owner they young lady said they would call back. I never did receive the call. When I called back on Tuesday to speak to the owner the lady that claimed to be the manager said that she was the owner. Seems like she and the girl that I spoke to on the Friday both lied. 10 years worth of loyalty down the drain. Looks like I will be going back to Pimon Tai or Mae Sone Noodle House.
