5 ⭐️ Customer service, thank you all for your efforts. This restaurant has been in the same location for the last 15+ years. Presently, a hole in the wall as Big Lots is no longer in business beside them, and all left in what used to be a large shopping center is the restaurant, a liquor store, and subpar Dollar General. Don’t let the sketchy vibe of the nearly empty shopping center deter you from driving in there during daylight hours, specifically midday.

I think I may have gotten the wrong thing because I will absolutely not get this again and not even sure if I want to go back. I ordered (takeout is the only available option) Three Flavored Chicken (white rice and 1 star spicy level) and a couple of crab Rangoons.

I would get the crab Rangoons again, the chicken was sub par at best, do not let looks deceive you. The veggies and rice were flavorless. The broccoli looked and tasted like it’d been hanging out in the hot sun til I got there for pickup. The chicken, fried breading was mushy and didn’t hold any sauce well. I’ll get to the sauce in a moment. The rice, mushy & flavorless, soaked up most all the sauce and was still flavorless. If there was any sauce to begin with, it was all in the bottom of this well packed dish, soaked up with chicken breading and white rice.

$15 dollars not well spent, and can definitely go another 15+ years before trying again. I finally caved after being in town and have heard nothing but rave reviews about this place. Again, I think the dish I got just wasn’t for me (and maybe not even the restaurant), as none of this was worth the time or money.

Pad thai was disappointing. Idk why people keep recommending this place lol. Food came in extremely fast... and it looked like it. Mid experience. It also felt like they were rushing us out the door, but thats honestly the least of it.

I love Thai food, and I've eaten a lot of it. One taste of the Panang curry here and I could tell that this place is the real deal. In addition to the delicious food, they have amazingly friendly staff, a family atmosphere, and pretty good prices. What's not to like?

The staff were so friendly. My dish was very good. Stir fried veggies/chicken. However, the Pad Thai had an odd twang to it. Not our favorite. However, the place was packed so that was a positive for this restaurant.

Anytime I a near Frankfort I go to Thai Smile. I used to work at the Capitol and Thai Smile is the place to go for a delicious quick and inexpensive lunch. The staff is super and they remember you after you’ve been in a few times. It’s a nice atmosphere. The food…. Anything I have ever gotten there is the best I have ever had. I always order Pad Thai but I also order another dish to take home. I’ve never been disappointed. The best.

I was in Frankfort to look at a used car. I finished just after noon. So, I found Thai Smile restaurant. The place is in a small mostly deserted strip mall. But, the lot was full of cars mostly people in the restaurant. The inside seating area is small but cozy. I ordered the chicken pad Thai. It was outstanding. I highly recommend.

We go here frequently and the food and service have always been great. My toddler is obsessed with their "peanut butter chicken" (Rama) and crab rangoons. The staff is friendly and the service is quick.

Everything is positive with this place. When you walk in, the owner, greet you talk to you jokes with you. You feel like you're wanted there a very positive place. If you're looking for somewhere to go and really relax and enjoy This is the place great food.

Thai is my favorite cuisine, and this place is the best I’ve ever had besides Lotus of Siam in Las Vegas. Their Pad Kee Mao (drunken noodles)… so flavorful, perfectly spiced, and fresh meat/vegetables. Chicken and shrimp, both of which I’m kinda picky about, were absolutely amazing. I ordered online, and I was greeted by a friendly host who gave me some extra sauces in case I ordered a weak spice level. The 20 star was excellent, and I love spicy food. I think I’ll get 30 next time. If you’re thinking about making the drive from Lexington to get this, do it. I have some favorites in Lex but this will be my new go-to if I want the best.

The restaurant is located in an almost empty shopping center. The waiter was trying to be funny by being overly rambunctious. The menus presented to us had not been cleaned. The dish we ordered was watered down and very simplistic but had good flavor. The restaurant uses disposable dishware and cutlery. Overpriced for what you get as a whole.

I loved the food so much that I became a regular customer

Pineapple chicken curry is my new addiction. I've had it twice, haven't had anything else yet. I just liked it SOOOO much that it's hard to even attempt anything else. You can choose 0-50 stars for spice. I did 1 star just to see and it's perfect for someone like me that uses Taco Bell fire sauce, but not their Diablo sauce.

Don't bother going here. I will say the food is great. It is. The issue is with the owner. He's obnoxious, rude, and doesn't care about his customers. He opens when he wants to, closes when ever he wants, way earlier than what he posts online. You just never know. This owner is in desperate need of a lesson in customer service. He knows people love the food so he doesn't care how he treats people. I won't go there anymore. Tonight was the last straw. I called for carryout tonight at 730. His internet page says carryout till 815. He answers the phone rudely with were closed. Were closed. Then hangs up. Maybe if we go somewhere else who appreciates the business then maybe, maybe he'd be friendlier and appreciate the business that Franklin Co has given him over the years.

This place will forever hold a sweet spot in my heart. My dad use to always bring me his leftovers, but then would also take us there. It’s also where my now husband asked my dad for my hand in marriage. But on the delicious note…can’t go wrong with any of the dishes…

The first time I ordered the Thai green curry was amazing. Second time was way too sweet. Never had a sweet Thai green curry. Was not nice. Been to Thailand their curries r not sweet.

Best chicken fried rice in this TOWN!!! Obsessed with it and you can choose how much heat you want with your order you place. Such as a 1 star being just a tad of heat and 2 ⭐ a little more ,etc etc . They even have the fried rice where you can order bags and freeze or just refrigerate it for a nice meal without leaving home. Wish they delivered,but that's why we have door dash now :) 5 ⭐'s everyday for me

We went to a meal give away event here. The owner very generously gave away more than 550 meals that morning. The food was so good. They will definitely get my business when I come to Frankfort.

First time eating there . Bangkok special was ABSOLUTELY delicious. And got order of chicken soup in coconut milk. Food was EXCELLENT. 5 STARS !!!

i am not from frankfort and i recently started working here. every single coworker told me to try thai smile and i finally did! OH! MY! GOD! number 1: it was super fast, #2 i literally have not had fried rice this good in ages. it was so delicious! :)) i will definitely order from here again!

Owners are extremely rude. I door dash for this place and will never take an order again after being called/harassed several times on past deliveries.

A weird place. Food isn't bad, but people working there are. One time I called for a pickup order. When I went inside, the owner's brother extended his arm to push the order I did toward me. No word or anything. Maybe he is a robot.

Honestly do not know how this place has any 5 star ratings. Ordered pad see ew (way too sweet and weird sauce), ginger stir fry, and larb chicken. Threw everything away after 2nd bite (had to make sure it was that bad). I dont know how restaurants can get away with food this bad. Guess it works for locals.

Food is always good and they help support the community as they can. My favorite is red curry. Dinner portions are fairly large, so expect left overs.

When I called to ask a question to ask about their fried rice (because we hadn’t eaten there before. Our favorite which is china wok on the east side of town was closed so we tried Thai Smile)... and we weren’t impressed with their customer service, or the food. We wanted chicken fried rice and the man I spoke with told me at first rice was ordered separately, and then he said it comes with the meal and I couldn’t communicate with him I wanted chicken fried rice.. He hung up before I could ask him the total, or leave a name for the order. When my husband went inside he said the service wasn’t good inside either. It was disappointing ..

This has been a favorite place for food for years. Anytime I'm in Frankfort or Richmond, I make sure I get some great food. Pretty sure over the years I have had everything on the menu and never been disappointed. So if you are looking for great Thai food look no further.

First time experience here at the only Thai place in town. I will need to try their other dishes for me to make a more informed opinion about this place. Thai food is another asian cusine I grew up loving. They do not offer dine in right now but curbside and take out is available. One person in the lobby at a time. The panang curry was definitely good but the peanut chicken with veggies was quite disappointing. When I say veggies I mean baby carrots(not cut up at all), some broccoli pieces and iceberg lettuce for bedding. The baby carrots and lettuce was what almost made me NOT want to try any other dishes from them at all. Personally I felt like that was sacrilege to throw that in. But I will have to go back and see about their pad thai because that's another one of my fave thai dishes. The carrot salad which I thought would be take on thai papaya salad was definitely not. So I was disappointed in that regard. Maybe they just meant it to be a regular thai carrot salad. Even if it was it didn't meet up to any flavor profile that resembled to thai food other than the bits of peanuts in it. Great customer service for sure and our meals was made in like 5-8 minutes which was quick but I felt maybe that's why the food quality was mediocre. The fried rice seemed like leftovers or they ran out of soysauce to make up for how it seemed... I will try this place again because I do love supporting local and know it is a difficult time right now and has been for a lot of food establishments. Keep supporting local!

First and foremost, the quality of the food remains excellent and unarguably the best Thai in Frankfort. Now, the elephant in the room and why the low score - after reopening this Spring the staff have restructured their operation and quite frankly it’s horrible. The old operation was walking in, being politely greeted and escorted to your seat, having great table service and a complimentary soup before your meal. The service now is walking in, seating yourself, ordering your own food at the counter, grabbing your own water pitcher and taking it to the table with you, and no more soup. It’s now order, eat and please leave. There’s plenty of staff in the restaurant, but like another reviewer had mentioned, they’re only there just kind of standing around and cleaning tables. It’s odd. What used to feel like a local favorite small dinning experience now feels like nothing more than a unwelcomed fast food dinning trip. Friendly tip, if it’s not broke, don’t fix it! Quality of food however, hands down EXCELLENT!
