Great restaurant right in the middle of crestwood! Great food. I got mine pretty spicy. Very delicious. Very reasonably priced. We have a family of 5 and ate for less than $40. Highly suggest splitting an adult entree for children. One adult meal fed 3 younger kids. Service was excellent. There were quite a few people there, and she took great care of everyone. This is definitely a hidden gem. I've never had Thai food until today, it's definitely worth a try. We will definitely be returning. Highly recommend!!

I go here frequently. I love it! The food is great and there are tons of options. The staff have always been thorough in explaining what is in the dishes and are happy to make substitutions for me to make certain dishes vegan.
The dining room is small and cozy. If it's a busy night, that can feel a little too cozy, but my schedule usually keeps me away during peak times. I go for late lunch and really really enjoy the quiet atmosphere and personal service. The woman that's there during the day is a joy to interact with!
Unless you are an experienced spice eater, go very light on the spices!!!! There is a chart on the tables that shows a 1-4 scale on the spice level. There are unlisted options of "no spice, a pinch, and half spice". I'm at half spice and it's plenty. It was once offered to me to get extra spice on the side when I ordered takeout, so that may be an option if you're unsure of what you can handle.

After 3 months of being told about how wonderful this is. I came with my boyfriend and it is everything he said. I had the Gai Pad Met Mat Muang, and he had the Pad Pak Ruamit with an appetizer of Geow Pu. Everything is amazing, flavor- outstanding!!

Food is amazing. Only downfall is there are no prices in the menu. Every time I go, I order the same thing; chicken pad Thai, and the prices always vary, it’s never constant. I may pay $11 one day & $15 the next. & I always get it around the same time (on my lunch)

The food was great. In my opinion, in order to be a legit Thai Restaurant, you have to at the very least have a good Pad Thai and a good Tom Yum , with a delicious Thai Ice Tea. A Taste of a Thai checks the block for all three. I am excited to come back and try the other dishes.

I don't get why people leave bad reviews on small / family owned restaurants. It's exhausting work owning and running a restaurant. Unless the staff is over the top rude or the food isn't fresh , don't leave bad reviews. If you don't like the food then eat somewhere else ! People like this just want something to complain about.

No other thai place in the Louisville area compares. I regularly drive thirty minutes just to come eat here and it is incredible every single time.

We have driven by this place for a couple of years wondering if it was any good. Welllll, we finally stopped by today and was blown away. The service is amazing and caring. The food was wonderful, and the atmosphere was calming and beautiful. For starters, the Thai tea was very soothing. The yellow curry in the massaman dish was perfectly spiced. My wife is gluten free and the owner made sure everything was gluten free for her. Don't make the same mistake we did and drive by without trying this authentic yet modern combination of yummy food.

Stopped in to this gem of a place and it was excellent. Service is friendly and prompt without being overbearing. Very clean and nicely decorated. The food is great, my boyfriend who loves egg rolls said they are the best he's ever had. We had pad Thai. The server warned us it is SPICY and she was not misleading. on a scale of 1-4 I got a 2 and it is easily as hot as the hottest available at places I've had back in Cincinnati. Delicious none the less. Would definitely make this place a regular if I was local.

This was my first time eating Thai food and being here. You get the choice of the "heat"to your dish. Love this! I chose a 1 and next time I'm gonna try 2 on the heat! The spring rolls were very crispy and delicious.

I just moved here from Atlanta (where Thai restaurants were aplenty) and this food far surpasses any I’ve had elsewhere. It’s spicy (they warned me it would be) but I helped myself to seconds while my upper lip broke a cold sweat because the flavor is out of this world. I envy you reader because I wish I could experience it for the first time all over again!

If you think you want a level 4 spice level, trust the staff when they tell you to get a 2. I think they must revel in the constant sound of satisfied sniffing throughout the restaurant as patrons enjoy the phenomenal flavors and spice. This is quickly becoming a go to for us.

Ordered takeout based on the reviews. The food was bland with nothing but red pepper flakes and overcooked chicken. We requested multiple spice levels it was obvious everything was mixed making the food inedible. When we called back and requested a refund the staff was rude and insulting. Bad food, bad service, overpriced. Go enjoy Simply Thai or another of the great Thai restaurants in the city.

Loved this little Thai place! It's hard to find an updated menu online, so I posted a couple pics of their menu as of 10/2023.

I really enjoyed the Tom Ka Gai. It came out with quite a kick at their level 1 heat option. Our waitress begged us not to order above a 1 on their scale of 1-4 and offered to bring out some of their hot spices on the side. Three of us added some heat, but she was pretty accurate on spice level.

This is from a ghost pepper fan ... start with 1 if you're unsure, 2 if you're a hot pepper connoisseur, but I'd probably leave it there and get extra on the side. You can always add more!

She'll warn you about the spice, heed her warning haha. Very good food! I like the chicken pad Thai, spice level 1 or 2, perfect.

This has got to be some of the best Thai food I've had in a very long time. I will suggest if you think you like hot and spicy Thai food to try a lower spice. I'm used to getting a 3 out of a 4 spice level at other locations. When I ordered I was informed that I had not had their spice yet. So I got a 2 level spice on my Pad Thai. It was the hottest spice I've had out of all the Thai I've eaten. It was great don't get me wrong, but holly smokes it was spicy. I highly recommend the Pad Thai. I'm looking forward to going back.

The sauce the came with the chicken egg rolls was good and helped to calm down the heat on our entrees. Wish we had ordered extra of that. We got the fried rice. Didn't like the thyme in it. Great masaman gai (curry - ordered spice level 3) and kanom jeeb (pork steamed dumplings)! It was truly a spice level 3, great flavor, and very generous portion with lots of chicken. I was very impressed. I had been trying to find a good Thai place that rivals Thai Noodles on Preston, but closer to home. This is it! If you want the real deal, you won't be disappointed. I got carryout, so I'm not sure what the service is like, but the lady who took my order was very kind!

This restaurant may not look like much from the outside, but they have an extensive menu of Thai food. My dish, which I requested to have "a little bit" of spiciness was perfect. Just enough zing to make the taste linger and not so much that you are wishing you had said "mild". We will definitely keep Thai Taste in mind the next time we want Thai food.

We’ve been meaning to try this place forever and I wish we did sooner. With two small children it’s not always easy to go out and sit down. The food was served in huge portions and was delicious. The owners are working extra hard to keep up with staff shortages as many places are but they were very attentive and friendly. You can tell they have a tight operation and work well when busy. Everyone was great with our 2.5 yr old who doesn’t like to sit still and wants to explore everything. He was given multiple candies and they didn’t mind him playing with some of their Christmas decor. A very family oriented place.

Absolutely delicious! They know their spice levels, I would suggest taking their advice. I ordered the Chicken pad Thai spice, level 4. I told her she could not make it too spicy and I think she took that as a challenge. It lit me up and it was absolutely perfect!! I will definitely be back for the pad thai and to try other dishes. Very friendly staff. You should give this place a try, you won’t regret it!

I’m sad to say my food was not very good, I had the pad kee mao and yellow curry and it was so bland and lacked flavor. I had driven 25 min to get this place bc I heard good things about it and based off of the reviews but it seems like the noodles were just cooked with some vegetables and placed in the container :( . The lady was very nice, but I was disappointed about the food bc it lacked flavor.

If you like REAL Thai food, this is not the place. It’s more like spicier Chinese food that has been heavily Americanized. My family is from Vietnam (which has very similar food to Thailand), have spent time in SE Asia, and grew up eating real Thai before it was trendy. I think this place is just using the name “Thai” to be boujee. Or perhaps it’s Thai trying to make their food appeal to people accustomed to Chinese food. Whatever the reason, this place was a disappointment.

First time eating here last night and as I suspected it is one of the best Thai restaurants you will find. The owners are the one making and serving the food and it is flat out amazing! They treat you like you are family. I discovered this restaurant while door dashing. Was treated amazing by the owner asking me if I wanted anything to drink while I was waiting. This is rare when you Doordash so I promised myself to come back and try the place out. Took a few months but took my wife last night and we have found our new favorite restaurant! Portions are large. Had enough that we took 2 leftover containers home and had a large lunch today. Excellent value for your money on top of great food and service makes this place a true Gem!

Owner is super friendly and makes atmosphere of restaurant pleasant to eat at for lunch. All food I've tried is amazing!

The Thai pad it’s absolutely delicious!! They are great let me order my plate 15 min before closing…I didn’t know at 8 pm is closed ….fresh food and taste and super friendly staff!!

Coming from California, I was craving Thai food once I moved here. This is my go-to spot for Thai, it’s the best I’ve found in Louisville and Oldham County hands down. Be careful of what you choose on the spicy level and start low! The staff is also wonderful, and I forget her name, but she takes the orders, and pretty much runs the restaurant but she’s always so nice. We will always be coming here in the future for Thai no doubt!

Best place in OC! My family moved from a bigger city to Oldham county 2 years ago and have not been impressed with the restaurants here. This was the first place we have been that we really enjoyed and will be back! Excellent service, great food.

My husband and I just went there last night. They were super friendly and sweethearts! The food was PHENOMENAL. IT BROUGHT ME SO MUCH JOY. They gave us a huge serving and the spice and flavor *kisses the air* - - compliments to the chef. It's that good.

We heard about the restaurant, so decided to try it. First impression: so clean, spotless. The server (didn't catch her name) was so helpful, steering us to what 'heat' level we should pick. We chose "1" for our meals... just hot enough to enjoy and not suffer, and we can tolerate 'hot'. My wife had a chicken entree and I had a beef. WONDERFUL. Large portions (we had a take-home portion), served quickly. The price is competitive for such a nice meal. We will be BACK, soon.

Moved to Buckner and finally tried this place and was not disappointed. Some of the best pad Thai I’ve ever had. Be aware of the spice level. I consistently get a 4-5 at simply Thai in Louisville and I got a 1 here and it was almost perfect. Has that perfect sweet and spicy pad Thai taste. Will be going back frequently.

The service here is amazing. The waitress who usually serves me is a very kind woman. I eat here regularly, and she always recognizes me & I am always so happy to see her.

The dishes here are very customizable. You can substitute any meat with another meat, or take out the meat altogether, making this a great restaurant if you're looking for vegetarian/vegan options. If a dish comes with rice, you can get noodles instead. You are shown the spice level beforehand, and my waitress will often give me less spice than what's on the menu if I ask (for example; a pinch of spice, some spice on the side, etc.).

Even without customization to your specific liking, the food here is very good. I come here regularly with the intention of trying every dish on the menu, and I've tried 12 dishes so far & loved them all. The Thai Tea here is to die for, and every soup and noodle dish I've eaten has been a favorite of mine.

The restaurant itself is also beautiful. It's cozy, and the colors & decorations are authentic and make you feel good.

Overall, this is one of my favorite restaurants. I recommend it to anyone looking to try something good and new.
