I recently dined at Tumotim Thai and had a great experience. The location is excellent, and while the food is a bit on the higher price side, it was absolutely delicious. For my first experience with Thai food, I was very impressed and would definitely go again to try another new dish. We ate drunken noodles with chicken, vegetable fried rice, and spring rolls. The food was hot and perfectly seasoned, with an incredibly flavorful taste. My chicken was tender, and the spring rolls were nice and crunchy. The wait staff was helpful, the food came out hot and fresh, and the atmosphere was great too. I even got to watch a little soccer while enjoying my meal. Highly recommend!
TumpTin Thai is a hidden gem that captures the essence of authentic Thai cuisine. During my recent visit, I had the pleasure of trying their Phad Thai with chicken, and it exceeded all expectations.
The Phad Thai was an aromatic delight, with perfectly cooked rice noodles tossed in a tangy tamarind sauce. Each bite was a harmonious blend of sweet, sour, and savory flavors, complemented by the crunch of fresh bean sprouts and peanuts. The chicken was tender and juicy, seamlessly integrated with the noodles and sauce.
What sets TumpTin Thai apart is their attention to detail. The dish was garnished with fresh lime wedges and cilantro, allowing diners to customize their flavor experience. The portion size was generous, ensuring that even the heartiest of appetites would be satisfied.
The ambiance of TumpTin Thai adds to the overall experience. The cozy, inviting decor and friendly staff create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Whether you’re a Thai food aficionado or new to the cuisine, TumpTin Thai’s Phad Thai with chicken is a must-try dish that showcases the best of what Thai cooking has to offer.
In summary, TumpTin Thai delivers an exceptional dining experience, with their Phad Thai with chicken standing out as a highlight. Highly recommended for anyone seeking delicious, authentic Thai food.
Tuptim Thai is a must try! Starting things off with an appetizer, the Thai Crispy Spring Rolls, here's the description from the menu: Thai Crispy Spring Rolls - Chicken, noodle, cabbage, carrot, celery, and onion in a shell, deep-fried until golden brown. Served with sweet & sour sauce. They were indeed golden, brown, delicious, and certainly fresh from the kitchen, as they were too hot to eat right away. The menu states a serving of two, but we got three in our order, Jennifer and I split the third, they were super tasty!
For her entree', Jennifer went with Pad Thai Gang Dang - (here's the website menu description) Chicken and shrimp pad Thai in creamy red curry sauce with roasted peanuts over fresh cabbage and bean sprouts. Topped with a fried egg, shredded carrot, and cilantro with a fresh lime wedge on the side.
I went with the Chicken Thunder - Chicken breast marinated in house seasoning with a touch of white rum, straw mushroom, baby corn, fresh ginger, and scallion.
Both dishes were excellent, and sampling from each other's dish, we both commented, "I should have ordered yours!" When ordering, you get three heat options, mild, medium, and hot, we both went medium not quite knowing what level of heat to expect. I usually go mild when trying a place for the first time, but the medium was perfect, packing flavor followed by a bit of a kick in the finish, it was very nicely balanced heat, complimenting the tender chicken and vegetables. The curry sauce in Jennifer's dish was stellar, a sauce done so well you didn't really need the squeeze of citrus to brighten it up. The dish was Gang Dang delicious!
Located at 2121 N Rock Rd #300, Wichita, KS 67206, I would describe Tuptim Thai as a restaurant with a relaxed and casual atmosphere with a touch of elegance. William, our server was all smiles and very professional. Other members of the staff were attentive as well, making for a great dining experience, in other words, the attention to detail was excellent, all the 'i's' were dotted and 't's' crossed.

Service was ok although the refills were infrequent. Good came out super quick and hot. They had mango chicken spring rolls on special which were really good and refreshing. The entrees were fairly bland though. My chicken spicy noodle which I ordered Thai hot was just a touch spicy but didn't really have any flavor. I tried my daughter's drunken noodles and it was a bit better but still packed real Thai flavor in my opinion.
Fantastic Thai food, the best we have had in Wichita so far. The iced tea tasted homemade, and the main dishes were flavorful and delicious. We also got our favorite soup (not pictured), Tom Kha Gha, and it was the best we have ever had. Our waiter was so amicable and helpful! If you don’t make a trip here, you are missing out.
Very delicious food...awesome service..clean and great atmosphere. Highly recommend
Ordered takeout for the following: pad thai noodles, sweet and spicy noodles, tom yum soup, and coconut cream sticky rice.
First of all, the waiter forgot to include jasmine rice for the tom yum soup, okay, forgivable. Mistakes happen and I didn't check beforehand. But, everything with regards to taste went downhill.
I couldn't even put a bite or two of both noodle dishes into my mouth. They both had a vinegary aftertaste and lacked flavor. It's just bland noodles steamed up with light soy sauce drizzled all over with fried tofu pieces sprinkled throughout. To sum up, it's like eating inauthentic Thai food (I come from SE Asia so I know how real Thai food tastes like!) In fact, I didn't even get much of the vegetables - it was just carb heavy from the noodles. They put one or two miniscule pieces of mushrooms and bok choy and call that a vegetable based noodles?! And they have the nerves to charge $15 for that dish? With all the ingredient and food prep, it isn't even worth that cost. Worst $50 overall spent for the order!
The only saving grace was the soup which was better and I was able to taste the sweet and spiciness from the herbs alongside the galangal root. The coconut sticky rice was also okay at best.
Overall, I'd recommend staying away from Tuptim Thai and to perhaps try a better Thai restaurant elsewhere in Wichita or even better yet, make it yourself at home. Your wallet and health will both thank you.
Best Thai in Kansas
The best Thai food I've ever had. Love it. Been here twice now, and any time I'm in town, I'm coming here. Thank you for making the New Year special.
Best Thai in Wichita!
Very good pad Thai, calamari sticks and egg rolls. My son had the chicken broth soup and loved it as well.
Good was very good. Nice and hot.
Service was excellent.
Very good dinner. Money bags were also a very good appetizer. I’ll certainly be back.
I love Thai food and enjoy trying out different places. This is in my top 2 favorites in the Wichita area. Yellow Curry Chicken with onion, potato and rice that i had was DELICOUS, and my left overs provided me with 2 more meals!
This is our top choice for places to go. The food is excellent, service as well.
They work around allergies, too.
Definitely recommend.
Great place, great food.
Amazing, Friendly Waiters
Awesome Food
Excellent service !!
Best place to eat in Wichita
Best Thai in Wichita that I've had. Really enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere.
I enjoyed the shrimp Thai fried rice, medium spicy.
A wonderful restaurant in every way!
Very good food and service. Whenever we can get the whole family in town this is where we go.
Customer service is always very kind and welcoming
One of our favorite places to eat. Excellent food, great friendly service. Go there all the time and never been disappointed.
1st off, the atmosphere was exceptionally clean, very modern. And the wait staff was all very egar to help. Friendly and always with a smile the we fot a surprise soup once we sat down and it was hot and sour soup which wad the best I've ever had . Then i went with the combo fried rice. I did order it hot ( it was extremely hot), but it was still delicious qnd i did finish the plate. It was so fresh and wasn't over seasond it was perfect. This is a a must try if i could give a higher rating i would
Tuptim Thai Restaurant is an absolute gem! From the moment you walk in, you're greeted with warm, friendly smiles and an inviting, cozy ambience that makes you feel right at home.
The service at Tuptim Thai is exceptional. The staff is attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely eager to ensure you have a delightful dining experience. They are quick to offer recommendations and are very accommodating to any special dietary needs or preferences.
Now, the food—it's simply outstanding. Each dish bursts with authentic flavors and is beautifully presented. The attention to detail in both the preparation and presentation of the dishes is evident, and the ingredients are clearly fresh and of high quality. Whether you're a Thai cuisine aficionado or a first-time visitor, you'll find something to love on their extensive menu.
Overall, Tuptim Thai offers an exceptional dining experience that stands out in every aspect. It's the perfect place for a romantic dinner, a family outing, or just a casual meal with friends. I can't recommend it highly enough!

I have been twice and both times the food was extremely good. The service was good and the servers were kind and attentive. The I have tried the red curry, the fried rice and fried pot stickers. All were exceptional. I also had the Thai punch cocktail both times and I really enjoyed it. The atmosphere was enjoyable as it was nice and quiet. I will be a regular at this restaurant.
Do not waste your $. The $15 Curry -container was NOT even 3/4 full !!! So, for $15 I didn't even get a full order of Curry! Guess I'm going back to Promise Thai Cuisine where they at least fill the container w/ delicious curry for $13. The tuptim thia rolls were FAKE crab not real crab. I guess we just have to assume now that nobody is giving you real crab even when they use the word "crab". I think if they use the "trash fish" called "white fish" every time they say crab. How is that honest? They should spell it.. K r a b, right? Why are we paying a high price for CRAB when it is trash fish- white fish- Krab? Never returning as a customer - I feel totally cheated on qty & description. Just be honest- say what it is- white fish & don't charge as if it is real crab.
I was honestly not expecting the food to be as food as it was. Fantastic! All of the staff was extremely friendly as well. Will definitely be coming back.
issue with ordering to-go whether online or through phone. My wife has no spice tolerance so I’ve always noted in every spot to place spice on the side.
at least half of the time, they’ve placed spice inside the food instead of on the side.
Besides this, I would give this 5 stars
Always friendly staff and their food is consistently good.
Hope the management responds to this review.
Our family went to dine in for dinner and had the worst experience. The staff member named TEN was very very very rude to me and my family (includes 5 n 9 yr old).We planned to have a nice and pleasant family dinner but ended up leaving within 15 mins of stay without even having dinner. My 9 yr old kid was even upset on why she(TEN) is being so rude, is this how you treat your customers and behave infront of kids??? I have been to many diversified restaurants but never seen an arrogant person as you TEN.
I am not blaming the whole restaurant as other staff was polite and respectful.
I hope the mgmt. takes action if not I will not recommend any family if you are looking to have a nice time with your family at this restaurant and i will make sure my friends n family never come to TupTim.
There are very nice Thai restaurants like Thai Table, Thai House & Thai Tradition.
So good! They can do no wrong. The "money bags" are great. Authentic 😀
When i order chicken fried it is tooo much spicy idont recommend . Employee serving is not good.
Poor, disappointing, served food that wasn't edible and wouldn't make it right.
Tuptim Thai serves incredible and flavorful Thai food. The Massaman curry is the best Massaman curry that I’ve ever had.
The Money bags, Pad Thai, Sweet Sausage fried rice are also amazing.
Excellent service. Never had to ask for refills. Food came out quickly, very fresh. Try the fresh spring rolls with peanut dipping sauce.
The restaurant is very clean. Highly recommend.
Pad thai is mild, medium, hot, or Thai hot. Ask for spice on the side if you aren't sure.
Absolutely obsessed with the food and staff at Tuptim Thai. They know me by name/face now! Love, love, love! I have recommended all my friends who are now also obsessed. Get over there now and get the chicken pad Thai ;)
Their pineapple red snapper is good.
They are the best Thai food in town. Hands down! Highly recommend!
Dining with 4, each of our meals were brought out 5-10 minutes apart. Very awkward. No refill offers or checking back.
Great service and great food. Wide selection and definitely a must-go restaurant if you're craving Thai cuisine.
Lovely place. Good food. Quick service. Honestly, a pretty good, consistent Thai experience every time we come. I ordered the mushroom lovers this time with a side of steamed vegetables. The brown sauce was thin, garlicky, and light. I'm glad it wasn't too heavy. Tasty, but I didn't detect spice at all, and I did order it medium. Order hot if you want to taste the spice! The steamed vegetables were simple, unseasoned, and straightforward, but I liked it that way so I could mix it in with my entree.
Delicious food and nice servers. My favorite items are the Tuptim rolls, drunken noodles, and pad thai.
My food was fresh and hot and taste was fresh i had the garlic chicken medium-hot very tasty
Best in the ITC, my thoughts.
My favorite Thai restaurant in Wichita there Thai tea's
are excellent
I’ve tried lots of different things on the menu and it’s all so tasty. Love the mint salad and the curry. Super clean and efficient. Love them!
Great vegetables soup, angel noodles were astonishing, nice relaxig music and all servers doing their job *****. Strongly recommended for thai experience
Can only speak to the Food as I door dashed it. But WOW! Delicious, fresh so good! This place and Thai house have my Thai taste buds
Excellent Thai food! I had the Red Curry with Tofu, my brother had Chicken Pad Thai. Both were great! Medium spice is nice! Very friendly staff and awesome service!
This is my favorite thai place in wichita. Their crab fried rice, pad thai, and thai basil dishes are wonderful. They are very friendly as well. I have yet to have a bad experience here.
Love this place! Food never disappoints.
Some of the best food I have had. Incredible and I will be back!
Great pad see eau and the best papaya salad I have had. Wife ordered the lemongrass soup and loved it. Re: heat levels—my medium pad was more of a “Thai medium,” that is, it was FLAMING, but made the salad that much better…
Everything was fresh and delicious! The staff was knowledgeable about what could be made gluten free for someone with celiac disease. We will be back!
Excellent service. Food was delicious, and served quickly.
The Chicken Satay is amazing and the money bags are perfect!!
Yummy food
I have eaten Panang Chicken on a regular basis for over 25 years. Some has been better than others. Until todays carry out I have ALWAYS ordered Thai HOT. Today the plan was to share the order so I ordered down on the scale to straight hot. I know curry dishes can be toned down by adding some sweet. This is the very first time I had to do so. In addition we had to obtain a sweet pop. For an individual that has eaten Thai Hot for all these years and also eats the hottest sauces in most Mexican restaurants I was disappointed 😢 to find anyone that would call this dish a “HOT” version. It was almost impossible to eat. The flavor was good and if the level of heat ordered had been provided I likely would have become a regular customer.
Ate at a Tuptim Thai in Topeka for years. Was hoping this would be as satisfying.
Food was great! Service was great and food came out very fast even though there was another big group. The Thai spicy level was perfect... sweating with every bite, but still tasted the flavor of the food! The only thing is larb could've been rare like how we grew up with... like beef tartare. Pad Thai was peferct spicy and not made wet... perfect. Other than that it was still awesome cooked! Thank you guys!
Great customer service, very helpful and kind people. Upscale yet very home-y and cozy dine in vibes. Food was great. Crab fried rice and drunken noodles were very delicious. Chrysanthemum tea was so good. Loved the sticky rice, can’t wait till they have mangos in. Overall a great experience!
Absolutely incredible food, reasonably priced, and great service. A favorite place hands down!
Wonderful food and people. Love this place!
Drunken noodles with beef was very good. Service was outstanding.
I had a large bowl the garden soup. It was good. The price for it was reasonable as well. Atmosphere is calm and not loud. Overall, great place to enjoy thai food!
I think they have a change of management/ownership/chef, I went today after a few months the prices have gone up significantly and the quality of the food has gone down.
We ordered spring rolls, chicken green curry, chicken pad thai and beef pineapple fried rice and nothing was good.
The customer service was great as was the atmosphere but the food was not impressive at all. The portions were very small and the flavor was lacking as was the meat portions. Avoid the crab fried rice as the crab meat was virtually invisible... I picked this restaurant because of good reviews but things must have changed w portion size and flavor quality in recent time frame...
Never a bad experience here. Their food is always top-notch and their service has always been prompt and polite.
Food was amazing. Great portions. Nice wait staff and quick service. No complaints at all!
Great food and incredibly kind and attentive service
The staff is friendly, the prices are reasonable, the food is great, and the atmosphere is really nice. What else can I say? Oh, and their spicy food is ACTUALLY spicy, which is rare in Wichita - I'll definitely be coming back.
Food is great. Portions a bit on the much smaller side. I am a bit disappointed that when I ordered online for the carry out option that it did not include the house soups as the menu listed this as included with the meals.
FINALLY we've found a Thai restaurant that does it right! We were customers of Thai Tradition for 14yrs until their food went downhill & the customer service went out the window. We've been hunting for the perfect tiger beef & chicken fried rice done right & here it is! They don't add stuff that doesn't supposed to be in the rice like carrots or extra spices. It is literally perfect AND more fresh than Thai Traditions. Oh, and the prices are HALF! The tiger beef portion is HUGE compared to them too so PLEASE never change that! Keep up the good work & you'll be rich off of us! Just don't ever change & continue to love your customers!
UPDATE, 3yrs later and thousands spent (as said 3yrs ago), STILL loving it! For the 1st time the hot was more like a k hot or die hot but I called & they didn't even make me run it all back when we live south by the casino. Customer service & food are still the BEST in Wichita!
It's a bit pricey, but the food and atmosphere is absolutely amazing. I highly recommend it for a more formal date setting, or special event.
Great spot for Thai. Great menu and they recently remodeled. Good value as well. I like that they serve Chang beer!
Always have good food and service there. It's our go to for Thai food!
Good food, good service.
The food here is always delicious and their service never disappoints. I’ve had quite a bit of their menu and think everything is fantastic.
The food here is great. Attentive staff.
Stopped by for dinner. So glad I did! I was very happy with what I ordered.... chicken pad Thai. The serving size was perfect and the flavor amazing. I will definitely be back for that dish alone but will experiment with others as well. I also must mention that I really appreciated the friendliness and thoroughness of the waitstaff.
The Food is great and fresh vegetables.
The food was AMAZING!! Great service, friendly staff, hot food, nice environment. Plus it was conveniently located next to BestBuy.
Good food, great people. What more could you ask for?
Great Thai food and superb service with a smile.
You have to try Tuptim. Excellent everything!
Really good chicken pad Thai. Can’t go wrong here
Very hygienic and tasty food, place is well maintained the staff is super friendly a must go restaurant in the locality
I don't know good Thai food or bad Thai food--- I KNOW GOOD FOOD though! My Tom Yum soup with tofu, medium spice was A-Mazing! My table also got Red Snapper with Pinapple, Thai crispy spring rolls and fresh rolls with tofu.... we crushed it before I thought to take a picture 📸. The Coconut Juice was tasty and a really cool experience (my first time trying that- different from Coconut water). If you're in Wichita, gotta make it to Tuptim Thai. My only critism is the decor... very basic and unappealing. The ceiling looks like it is coming apart. This place looks like it could use an upgrade from 'Restaurant Impossible'.
Really really good Thai food, big portions, and the service is always amazing. Love the fresh tofu spring rolls, garden vegetable soup, yellow curry, drunken noodles and the pad Thai. I do wish there were curries besides the yellow that were vegan friendly, but I suppose I will take what I can get. If you cannot tolerate spicy you need to specify that as they do bring the heat here. I can tolerate very spicy food and medium spicy here is plenty spicy for me.
I'm not sure what I did but I ordered mild and got heartburn. My food is not edible like every bite has pepper flakes in it I like spicy but this is just a disappointment. You would think I disrespected someone's mother With how hot they made my rice.
Excellent food, ample portions, wide menu selection, moderately priced, clean and neat, prompt and courteous service. Good choice for a change of pace. Recommended!
Just disappointed in the overall quality.... you would think if they weren't going for quality they'd go for quantity but that's not it either, this appetizer was $8 what a joke, picture for size.... I guess they called it money bags for a reason because they are banking off of us
"I like a restaurant where a cat could sleep"
Food always superb.
Super spicy! Love it!❤
Makanannya sangat enak
A hidden gem in the strip mall. Watch out, they mean business with the heat levels 🔥👌 we could eat an entire meal of just the money bag appetizers! Will go again!
This place felt classy and professional. Thai food was a new experience for me and I loved it. The prices were competitive with chain restaurants without skimping on the quality of the food or service.
I leave so full every time! Love the good and staff
Excellent food, even better staff.
Delicious meal and service was fine. Not attractive and lighting is harsh.
This place is amazing
One of the best Thai places in Wichita.
Delicious!
Great food and excellent service on Christmas eve!
Never disappointed. Very authentic Thai food. Open on Christmas
Some of the best Thai food in town, just beware if you’re used to medium heat other places you should probably order mild!
Disappointed with the food. It tasted more like Chinese food than Thai. This is the first Thai restaurant that I know of that doesn't offer a Tom yum soup in their menu. The one that I ordered (the only vegetarian option) was a disappointment as was the entree. This was a takeout order and they had kept my order ready to be picked up.
Service is awful. Second time coming here since the first time was amazing food and service. This time, we waited for a long time for 4 people to be seated, for drinks and to order food. Everyone’s food came out at different times and we saw so many carry out orders as if dine in customers weren’t important.
We are from out of town visiting, we decided to eat here for the second time since we liked it the first time. However, this was a complete disaster. Do NOT go at their busy times because they have no system to make sure the people who are in the restaurant get their food before takeout orders. There were 4 of us and it took 10 minutes for us to get seated when there were available tables to be seated at. Once we got to the table it took another 5 minutes for someone to come to our table. Since we sat for a while we knew what we wanted and ordered immediately. One entree came out then 15 minutes later 2 more entree come out. My husband is waiting 10 minutes before he says something to our waiter. All we had were excuses as to why his food wasn’t at the table yet. The excuses were to go orders.. To make matters worse 3 of the 4 entrees were the same so they should have all come out at the same time. As we were sitting there at least 30-40 MINIMUM takeout orders were placed as priority over us who were actually at the table waiting to eat. We will not be going back due to the terrible service and lack of understanding that you don’t place takeout orders over those who are physically in the restaurant to eat.
Very clean and pleasant interior, with friendly staff. I was seated right away and as soon as I ordered they brought out a nice bowl of hot soup. Just when I finished, out came my entree! Great service and timing. The chicken pad Thai was hot and delicious, and just the right heat level for me (exactly as I ordered it). Large portion, too! I’ll definitely eat here again.
One of the best Thai restaurant places in Wichita! My absolute favorite is the fried catfish in pineapple sauce. It's the yummiest! Also, the servors are always so nice every time I was there.
Dined here on a midweek lunch hour, only had to wait 5 minutes for a table. The waiter was quick and efficient, and our food was out in under 15 minutes (2 patrons at my table, plus a busy and full restaurant). Pictured is the Massaman Curry w/ chicken! The table also had the Tiger Cry Beef and the Crispy Spring Rolls! Everything was delicious, spicy and temp hot-we could tell everything had literally just come off the stove! Love this restaurant, you just can’t go wrong with a single thing on the menu here!!
great pad khee mao, money bags and tom yum soup (mild spice level) + cozy atmosphere. prices are a bit up there but the portions make up for it. one of my favorite thai places in wichita for sure!
I could eat here every day. Everyone is always so nice too!
Food was good, management not so much. Have major problems with their credit card system.
The money bags are so great I could easily eat those as a meal. The pad Thai with chicken is delicious. the servers are very nice.
My favorite are the coconut chicken sticks and the Thai crispy spring rolls. Hot and fresh and delicious everytime! They also open up the styrofoam on the corners to let out some steam and heat! Even lay down a bed of coconut or cabbage so the hot food doesn’t burn through the box. Genius!
Food is always delicious and comes out quick and the staff is wonderful.
Service was great, but food was only so-so in my opinion. I had heard from a couple others that they loved it, so form your own opinion!
Amazing food, staff, and service! Every dish I had was different and flavorful whether it's stir fried noodles, fried rice, or curries paired with a thai tea. They don't mess with the spice when you ask for the spiciest level (thai hot) in the restaurant which I love! They give you lots of thai chilis and thai chili powder in your meal. A little more expensive now but they still give a good amount of portions for the price. The establishment is very clean as well.
Delicious Thai dishes and very friendly staff
Excellent food and staff!
This was my first time eating here. I had the shrimp spring rolls and sweet chili noodles w/ shrimp and I loved it! Definitely going to come back here again. This spot is one of my favorites now!! The spring rolls were rolled perfect and the noodles were hot, sweet and spicy.
This is easily one of my favorite restaurants in Wichita. Their curries are most fantastic, especially the massaman and the panag curries. The rice paper rolls with the tofu and veggies are so delicious; we love the coconut milk and peanut dipping sauce that comes with them. So affordable and delicious. We prefer to split a single plate of curry and enjoy appetizers before the main dish.
This is the spot! Been hunting down great pad Thai and curry around Wichita and I dig this the most. Fried rice and lemongrass soup were amazing too.
