Totally authentic Vietnamese cuisines with other Southeast Asian favorite dishes, all made from the freshest and best ingredients possible.
Went for a late lunch on a weekend. It was busy but not crowded. The staff are friendly. I was seated quickly. The menu is large with pictures and descriptions. I ordered crab rangoon and bahn xeo. The crab rangoon had an interesting filling. The bahn xeo came with two medium-large crepes with bean sprouts and sliced shrimp, as well as greens and herbs. The bahn xeo was crispy. The dipping sauce was flavorful. May return.
Fan favorite. I get a grilled pork banh mi from here every day I work late. Pho is great, and hard to beat. We like the combo grilled pork rice plate. Kids eat well here and it is very nice to get some groceries before or after eating.good atmosphere and doesn't necessarily feel like you are in a grocery store when eating inside. Great staff, and clean facilities.
This restaurant is inside the C Fresh store, so if you don't want to cook after grocery shopping, here ya go. The Pho was phenomenal, and I love all the fresh options. I missed my crab Rangoon but tried the egg rolls and fried tofu. I'm not much on heat, but the red tofu is hot. The egg rolls are definitely homemade as unlike none other regular ones everywhere. I had to order to go and they were fast. Very friendly customer service. The worst part was closing time for a dinner is 7 pm yet understandable due to store hours.
My recent visit left me thoroughly impressed with their impeccable rendition of the classic Vietnamese dish. Opting for their Pho Diet Biet bowl, I was delighted by the harmonious blend of flavors and the freshness of the ingredients. The broth was rich and aromatic, infused with layers of spices, while the rice noodles were perfectly cooked. The generous portions of tender beef, brisket, and meatballs added depth to the dish, making each spoonful a delight. I also added extra shrimps in my bowl and it was a great addition. Accompanied by a medley of fresh herbs and condiments. With attentive service and a cozy ambiance, Pho 515 stands out as a must-visit destination for pho enthusiasts. Highly recommended! Also it is right inside a supermarket so very convenient if you wanna buy some snacks.
Pho was overall good, not exceptional m. Didn’t like the beef that they used though. Broth was delicious. Service was excellent. I will come back to try their other stuff. Shrimp roll was excellent too. I was expecting it to be spicy maybe because of the name on the menu. But it was still delicious.
Visit Des Moines for the first time and we were looking for a good Vietnamese restaurant. Most of the Vietnamese restaurants here just sell Pho. This restaurant serves a lot of other soups and more authentic soups! The wings were big and juicy. The soups were flavorful and had the right ingredients! The service was great and they got us what we needed and quickly!
I think this is the best in Des Moines!
You have to try it if you haven’t!

We always order Pho whenever we go there. The last time we went there, which will probably be the last time forever, the chicken in the Pho was absolutely terrible. The chicken tasted like it was about 10 years old and it was tough as hell. We were both extremely disappointed.
Delicious!

Great place
Food is poor quality, they have multiple types of pho that I didn't know of , employees are in a bad mood and they don't help understand the manu I ended up ordering the wrong pho with row meat because the employee was rushing me. Will never come back here.
Great Pho, crab ragoons, and spring rolls.
The best food and the best international grocer in town. It is places like the restaurant and CFresh that make DSM diverse and unique. Nothing but love!
Pho taste like cinnamon water with a pinch of salt, tendons had hair all over it, felt like I was eating hairy sweet soup. Disgusting.
I traveled 6 states for the past 2 months, and I love trying out pho from every state, this by far is the worst I’ve ever had.
Always busy but quick and amazing service! They are always busy when I go but service is always quick and efficient. The food here is so good, one of my favorite places in DSM to get pho. I love it!
Wow! Delicious! The pork vermicelli with egg rolls were absolutely fantastic! Great jasmine tea too! Friendly and fun!
Sad to change this from a five-star to one-star, but I have had way too many poor experiences in the last few years.
Food is hit or miss, sometimes comes out cold or missing something.
I was there with a large group on a Saturday evening and we received very poor service. No waters for 10/20 minutes, appetizers that came out at the end of the meal. Forgotten drink and food orders that we had to ask for multiple times. This kind of service can be typical at family-run Vietnamese places but you would think one of the most popular places in town would be a cut above the rest. Auto gratuity was still added even though all of our servers acknowledged the lack of quality service.
I understand the size of our group could have been the reason for the poor service but this is typical even when I go in with just one other person.
Fresh baked bread is very good, banh mi way too pricey for how much they put in it. Roast pork and duck is fine, I’d rather go to Le’s. Pho is top notch but the only thing I would give five-stars to.
Looking forward to the extended hours. The early closing time limits how often we eat here.
Restaurant is in C-Fresh. Good Pho and the appetizers are good too. Everything is fresh due to the restaurant being inside a grocery store. This is definitely a hidden gem. Prices are good and It is almost enough for 2 people.
Okay, this place was my favorite place to go. But today, August 23, we stop by at 4pm. A girl take us to the table, she looks like a new employee.
We are ready to order but that girl was so confuse like she doesn’t know what should she do. So it takes us like 15m just for her asking us what we want. But unlucky, we want something special (Hủ tiếu nam vang khô) and she don’t understand that. So to make sure we ask her if any other employee can come and help because we don’t want to get it wrong.
So she asked the guy (who bring the food to the table for customers) help her take our order. That guy looks mad. He about to take our order but then decided to walk away to the kitchen and leave us alone without any explanation. Wow… so we decided to leave without anything.
This place was the best. Top service. We love and very respect the owner but… I believe this is not what they want and not how they trained their employee.
We will comeback again for sure, but hopefully they can check up on their service and be the best in town again.
This is one of my family’s go to spots for Vietnamese food. Great, stylish atmosphere and service, tasty food. We like the combination vermicelli entree, pho, and bun rieu. Eggrolls are a bit bland and today when we went it was served with the what appears to be bottled syrupy sweet and sour chili sauce rather than the typical fish sauce. My cousins liked their durian and avocado bubble tea, also the wonton noodle soup. I tried the Vietnamese coffee and I think it was mostly condensed milk with ice (no strong caffeine effect). I highly recommend a visit!
A good place to visit in search of sea food, meat and other produce. There is also a restaurant within to satisfy one's palate.
Muy buena
We had crab Rangoon and firecracker shrimp to start, and both were so good! They had unique and strong, savory flavors. I ordered the combination Pad Thai and my friend got the combination seafood (pho hai sun). Both were so delicious! Service was speedy and friendly. Can't wait to come back here.
If you have food allergies or any dietary restrictions, avoid this place! They do a bad job of understanding dietary preferences and will not communicate with you upfront if they make a mistake. Once they serve you your food they just run away quickly, and if you have a question about what’s being served- good luck waiting/ trying to get their attention. Their portion sizes also vary tremendously - sometimes the same dish will have a large portion and at other times they are so small.
Our food was amazing, very delicious!!!!
I do miss the whole in the wall c-fresh market pho-kings but the remodel was needed food still as excellent with great service. Atmosphere lost a little of its charm but as noted...was needed. Love this place will always go everytime I'm in dsm. My favorite go to
Best pho and bun bo hue in Des Moines
Pho 515 is a BORING name. But you know what, Brent, that’s FINE! It’s fine to have a boring name!! I’m annoyed with all the pho-centric word play out there!!! Oh, you named your place Pho Real? Oh how clever you are. Pho King? Wow, you probably kiss a lot of people. I wish more spots were like Pho 515! Just make a great pho and organize things by area codes. What’s good enough Ludacris is good enough for all of us!
The lady serving at the restaurant is so rude, telling my friend and I to leave since we came to pick up n cannot sit to taste the food, she said it with a bad attitude even she was told to say it politely but repeatedly said it rude and gave us a look, she did same to some couple, asked that their food is ok
Great pho & spring rolls
One of my favorite restaurants in Des Moines. I recommend the pad thai
This place is always busy it serves a variety of clientele, it does not have pricing on all of its products some of the languages you can't understand what the product really is I go and get the things that I know and know that I need. It would be nice if they had both languages so that you can understand what a lot of the items are. I did not eat their this was a grocery store where I wouldn't purchase products
Hands down. The best pho in town!!

The pho was absolutely delicious. This place is inside a grocery store so I was surprised to see that is separated from the store. I loved the food it was super tasty.
AWESOME PHO!!!! Best in Des Moines for sure! They have great Boba too and a selection of other awesome vietnamese dishes. It is in the front corner of the Asian grocery store. Updated restaurant is nice.
Yum!
Great service and great food
They've remodeled so there's dine-in seating open now and their Banh mi sandwiches are so good! The crackle of the pork is to die for! Best Pho around, great prices, right inside a good grocery store for Asian groceries
The best Pho, fresh spring rolls, as well as other entrees and appetizers around! So good! Portions are huge and prices are very reasonable!
So tested 1st 🥇 pho in Des Moines alway eat there fast service not sit waiting about 5-6 mins come up, my son live in Ames when he’s back home I like to took him there his favor pho 🍲 place 😋
Was in Des Moines for work. Was looking for something different to eat. Came upon Vietnamese food. I have always wanted to try it since i have always watched it on tv and it looked delicious. Went there and was greeted with a great smile. I placed an order for the seafood PHO. I ordered the large portion and when it arrived, I was in awe on how large the bowl was. When i first took the first bite, IT WAS INCREDIBLE! the taste was amazing! The flavors and aroma are out of this world! I will be back soon!
Gooy
Best pho in town. Where helping with full smile and so great food. Mr. COTRAN know how.
I got pho with everything, now believe me when I tell you, it was the best Vietnamese pho I’ve EVER had, broth was flavorful, noodles were cooked to perfection, meat was nice and tender, overall was the jackpot of pho’s. Boba tea was really good too, I loved how they added jelly cubes and how the drink itself is kind of like a smoothie, I recommend mango and taro. Service was exceptional, staff were nice, left a large tip. Atmosphere was great
Nice interior, Great Wall art, lots of TVs to keep you entertained while eating. Overall, one of my favorite Asian spots in all of Des Moines
Extremely RUDE host. I don't know if he was having a bad day/tired, but it was my first and last time there because of the RUDE service that I received. And that's too bad because the food was decent. Never again.

Good food takes a while, but it's worth it. It's busy and loud though, but hey, great food.
Buena si encontré lo que fui a buscar lo recomiendo 👍
The remodeled restaurant looks very nice & it’s very convenient because I can get my grocery shopping done afterwards, lol.
I got the small pho tai bo vien & my boyfriend got the large pho tai (he rates it 5/5).
The vegetables are very fresh + the bean sprouts were delicious.
I love their chicken wing appetizer + I often get it for meals, haha (5/5).
Thai tea was good (4/5)
Great customer service.
A great stop and must do perhaps 1x a month. Parking is a pain.
Really good broth in the pho. Service was friendly and quick.

This place is fantastic. The food was delicious and they give you so much! Staff are supper friendly. 10 out 10 would recommend to friends. I plan to come here more often on lunch breaks. Thank you all so much for the great service and food!
Always delicious. Best seafood pho in town
If you are able to dine in, the food is delicious and service was hospitable. They were able to fit in our big group and our experience was great!
Hands down the best Pho in Des Moines!!!
Damn! Just soooooo goood! Awesome flavors.
Good
Absolutely splendid meal. Very clean restaurant. Nice atmosphere. Will come by here every time we're in Des Moines, Lord willing.
Not sure what happened to their Pho. New Cook? Why is it so sweet? Pho should not be sweet.
Amazing food and amazing drinks very delicious
Amazing food and amazing service
Must Have!
Delicious pho
Worse choice for Mother’s Day. Worse services ever, took long time to bring food and they were empty table not the busy . Then I order the crepes which supposed to have pork and shrimp . 2 half shrimp and 3 small pieces of bacon . $ 15 . Than they charge 18% gratuity o top of the tip I already give him . Never coming again .
Good vietnamese noodle dishes like phở and hủ tíu. Must try!
Love the food! Bubble Tea and Thai Tea tasted so good! Pho was great!
Great service, nice atmosphere, and delicious food. What more can you ask for?
Fantastic pho and super service
I've eaten here multiple times and it is always fantastic. The service is usually great unless they are really busy. Even then, they get the food out relatively quick. This is a really good authentic Vietnamese restaurant. I would recommend Pho 515 to everyone!
Best Pho in town
Very nice renovated interior, convenient location. Food is always good, the crab rangoons are excellent. My favorite Pho restaurant.
Great Crab Rangoon
Very tasty. I had the fried chicken, crab Rangoon and pho brisket.
This is a restaurant inside of a grocery store, but it is also some of the best Pho I have had the pleasure of eating in the Des Moines area. And, the Crab Rangoon was the best I have ever eaten.
Is it the best? Idk probably not. Will you be satisfied maybe.
Will it be filing? Sure.
Inside the restufrant looks good, outside?.. I'd rush to my car.
Overall a gem in the rough.
If I could have Pho 515 delivered to me everyday here in New York, I would. If I could give it 6 stars, I’d I’ve it 7.
The broth, which is the real star of the show, is spectacular. Subtle, refined, yet bursting with flavor, presence, and purpose.
I can’t tell you how much this restaurant has ruined me — because from now on, I’ll always be comparing every other pho spot to Pho 515 while silently longing for the real thing. No more need be said.
Just go here. Get the large. Enjoy your life.
best deep fried tofu.
So much food and so good. Made perfectly
so good! very clean and staff are wonderful. I will say, the place is always packed. So you may have to wait a bit but is worth the wait!
I have to admit it’s pretty good Vietnamese food it’s still not as gelatinous as I like most people don’t really understand what that means but if they would’ve had the fur, I had growing up as a child, it would make more sense because the old woman that was cooking it was cooking her family recipe pass down from three generations. I found a lot of Vietnamese places have a lot to desire and a lot left to desire when it comes to their soup. I guess it really just depends on the cook or the flavor of the day. Expect from it either way great food, great friendly service, and I will return. I have 95,000 people that follow me around on Google. Here’s my question to those 95,000 people of the American public. Would you vote for me as your next president in the 2024 election if so, please message me I need your help and I will do my best to help you
I go here at least a few times a month. Never disappointed.
Very good food.
Great food, service and family atmosphere.
One of the best pho places in Des Moines
Tasty, good selection, good service. Great Korean beef kalbi and Pho that looked good enough to come back! Don’t miss this gem!
Some of the BEST Pho in town!
I like their pho
Best Vietnamese Crepe.
1st time there. 1st impression is that I'll go back there again. Pho was good, good portion.
Yummy Vietnamese food inside a supermarket! This restaurant is situated inside the supermarket. This restaurant also sells roasted duck, pork, and Boba. We can’t wait to come back and try more food! I highly recommend trying this place if you are in the area. Very close to Drake University.
Food is excellent. Service is great. Noisy.
One of the best pho soups I had in USA, I’ve tried many in many cities. Also restaurant was clean, good service and hard working people. Korean BBQ beef was great as well!
All three of our lunches were absolutely delicious, and our waiter could not have been nicer. Love their new remodel, can't wait to go back.
I've been wanting to come here since I moved to the area 2 years ago. Let me tell you...It was worth the wait! I had heard about this place from co-workers and locals alike. They did not steer me wrong! Food came out extremely fast and was still properly made. The flavor explosion I got from each dish awakened my senses. Honestly, I live for noodle soups and I am now so obsessed with their Pnomh Penh Noodle Soup. Their phô was equally as good but I'm loving this twist of flavors on the other Pnomh Penh. WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!
This Pho is incredible! So rich and flavorful. Great people and service as well. Highly recommend!
We came with a group of 12. Great service, everyone loved the pho and bun(vermicelli). We started with spring rolls which were some of the best I’ve had. They also do boba teas but we didn’t try it. If you’re a fan of Vietnamese food, give this place a try!
terrible service inside and out. never know what you’re requesting and never can fix your problem they caused. simple instructions were laid out as requested by the app, and a b c steps couldn’t be followed. very dissatisfied w this snack not a meal …. won’t be returning!!!
Ask for regular tea and they said no problem but still brought me jasmine tea.
Clean place for Asian food and grocery. Friendly staff and ample parking.
This is the best Pho I've ever had! We also got so much for a small price that it lasted us two meals each!
Foods were little salty but good customer service.
For all of you Bun lovers (vermicelli noodle bowls) this is the best I have ever had. Grilled pork, cut up egg rolls, veggies, peanuts, julienned carrots and cucumber with fantastic light vinaigrette. WOW.
Went there today spend arond $200 but the waitress see like he busy and disrespect, the food was ok. Will never go back again and not reconmend friends or family to go there.
The pho is the best in Des Moines! The server was very attentive and stopped by twice to ask if everything was okay, which it was. We also had bubble tea and Vietnamese egg rolls, all excellent! The prices are reasonable.
The place looks nice and clean but the food not so much.
I was surprised at the quality of food here especially by the Pho. Overall the food I purchased here was good and satisfying.
Pho: 8.5/10. Pho here is definitely better than average. Strong mild beef flavor, clear broth, darker rich color broth, I can taste and smell the aromatics, and broth balance was very good.
Bun Cao: 7/10. Tasted fine. Nothing special.
Bo Kho:7.5/10. Good beefy flavor. Some of the meat portions were cut incorrectly, when I bite into it, the meat was too long and big to chew. Baggett was perfect.
Eggroll: 8/10. Good.
Spring roll: 7.5/10. Taste fine. Good peanut sauce.
Fried rice: 8/10. Good.
Went here tonight for the first time. As a chef myself it's very hard sometimes to find places to eat out at. However this place was amazing. The authenticity and flavors of the food in this place was incredible. We went on mother's day. Dave the owner n chef came out to our table n introduced himself to my family. Gave all 4 of my kids free juice boxes n soda. Our experience couldn't have been any better. Thank u to the staff and Dave. We will def be back again.
Has bubble tea from this place. Tasted great
