I was in town for business and stopped at this local owned Thai restaurant. It was amazing! The service was incredible; they were welcoming and checked on me throughout the meal. And the portions! I barely made a dent in my entree, Drunken Noodles, after having the Steamed Pork Dumplings as an appetizer. It was all hot and very fresh. The ingredients were really flavorful, all the veggies had a great crunch. Wonderful dining experience all together. I left happy and would absolutely come back.

Found this nice Thai restaurant headed back from Michigan to Chicago. The customer service was excellent. The server suggested the Crispy Moon for an appetizer which is minced pork in crispy tofu skin with plum sauce. It was so yummy. We ordered beef pad see ew, chicken pad Thai, Thai iced tea. I also ordered the Tom Ka to go. The broth of the Tom Ka is some of the best I've tasted. Everything was well prepared. They do not skimp on the portions. I will definitely be returning.

I have tried different Thai restaurants in many different states (even trying out several Thai restaurants at Chicago). This is the best Thai restaurant so far. Service is amazing. This place was great. They made us feel like family and the food was fantastic. We got the chicken satay and crispy spring rolls and each came with homemade sauces that were delicious. The thai tea was one of the best I have ever had and the sushi (calumet roll, spicy tuna and the white dragon roll) was fresh. We ordered three rolls and it was served on a sushi boat which was a fun touch for my kids. The shrimp in the drunken noodles were huge and the dish was flavorful and authentic. We will definitely make a return visit.

I ordered spring shrimp rolls with Thai beef Pho and green tea. How do you mess up green tea! The tea was bad the food was bad and the rolls were flavorless. They brought me what was supposed to be peanut sauce it was peanut butter. Horrible experience I wanted to puke. At least the lady that served me was very nice she even was sorry for the poor food.

Bangkok never fails to impress us. They are one of the most underrated restaurants in all of Valpo, both on service and food. The quality is amazing all around! We recently moved out of state, but made it a point to visit our favorite place while back in town. DO NOT PASS UP THIS ABSOLUTE GEM!

This place is my No #1 choice for Thai food. Kate, the owner is a sweetheart and cares deeply about here customers and the food she prepares. Always fresh to your taste. She also doesn't use fish stock in her food because she herself says it is not her favorite taste. Sushi is excellent. Everything is top quality. Large pirtions and reasonably priced. Most meals will feed 2 people. This is my favorite places to eat when in the area.

I do not like to leave negative reviews, but I do feel the need to address our experience today at this restaurant. Although the food was amazing, I am deeply disappointed in the experience we had with one of the servers. My friend, being a regular local customer, requested an extra side of rice with her dish when the server returned to check in on our food. Upon the server’s return with an extra side of rice for my friend, the server made a humiliating comment in front of the table to my friend suggesting she needed to lose weight and look more like the skinnier friend at the table, all because she asked for extra rice. My friend turning bright red, had to excuse herself to cry in the bathroom for 10 minutes and was crushed. When my friend returned she held back tears and we started to pack up to leave. When the server returned my friend, with tears, told her she really hurt her feelings with what she said and explained it is very unprofessional to make a comment about someone’s weight as a server. The server, without remorse, told her she needs to be happy and move on - as my friend was wiping away tears. No apology, completely tone deaf to what she said. I’ve never seen that kind of unprofessionalism from a server in my life. I love my friend dearly, she’s beautiful the way she is, and does not need to lose weight. Needless to say we will not be returning.

The food was amazing. The beef massaman curry that I got with the sticky rice very much reminded me of the curry I would eat in Brunei. I have not had curry state side that tasted so so similar. Extremely customer oriented, my Georgian friends had the chicken/shrimp pineapple fried rice said it was awesome, the Rangoon’s were very good, the sauce was homemade and very good, the chicken Pad Thai was exceptionally good, the chicken is ultra tender. I am from Idaho, met friends here on a whim, this would be a regular place if I lived here. Flavorful, spice to your level. And very friendly. 10 stars.

If you can get the food to the table, you’ll like it. My wife’s food did not come and asked twice. The green curry was spicy, yet no water refilled. We ended up asking for the check and the nice lady apologized. She said they were busy, but only 6 tables were filled and not much of any take out…. The icing on the cake is that they gave me an exploded pen to sign the check…. I had to get my spouse dinner somewhere else since the food never came. I gave 2 stars because the green avocado curry was delicious and the employees were nice.

The only thing I can say was good was the Thai tea.

My husband and I decided to try Bangkok the other evening. The staff greeted us and we incredibly friendly. We started with the avocado wrap with peanut sauce. It was delicious. Our soups (tom kah and the seaweed soup) lacked flavor in a serious way. I ordered a tofu dish with cabbage that did not have the small chili icon indicating spicy (I cannot recall the name). However, when it arrived, it was too hot to even enjoy. My husband had the drunken noodles with Tofu. He liked the flavor but the noodles were very starchy.
We will definitely try them again but we will be very careful about what we order. I love the number of vegan choices the had available and the staff was fantastic.

A little slow on service, but well worth it. Best Thai restaurant I have found in quite some time. Perfectly cooked calamari, curry was good, I'll try their sushi soon. Overall this place is awesome, highly recommend.

My husband and I came here a few weeks ago and were given a free bowl of soup to help us warm up. We enjoyed the food and atmosphere so much that we wanted to bring our four children. We took them last night, we were served right away, they stayed late to make sushi for us and even made us an extra special sushi roll, and as we left they gave us two free Thai iced teas.
The people are wonderful, the food is delicious, and they are very generous. The kids asked to go back regularly and my 9 year old asked if she can help tip them next time because they were so nice. 😁

I've been coming to your restaurant for about 5 years now the young lady which is very sweet sometimes unless she is overwhelmed told me that I could not customize the ingredients that I wanted in my order even though I was paying $20 for a dish. I told her I'm not eating meat right now so I don't want eggs she said that I'm too difficult and it makes it hard for the chef in the kitchen so I have to just eat whatever and not have a say and what I want in my food. just to please the chef in the kitchen. I told her that I didn't want any meat or egg and one less vegetable from the five vegetables they normally put in so actually I'm saving you money but I'm being difficult? then she said it's only me that she has this trouble with I personally think you guys need to get better staff because as of right now I don't feel comfortable coming back to your restaurant

Love this place. Food is always delicious. Portions are large, so keep that in mind if you don't eat a lot.... But you can take leftovers home. My favorite thing is the service & friendliness. They are always welcoming and friendly, check on you frequently, and always say thank you for coming in to do business with them (very sincerely too).

I love this restaurant, I usually order spicy basil chicken, but Bangkok has many great options. I recommend trying the Thai iced tea!

My husband and I dined in for lunch. Had a wonderful experience. Sashimi portions were generous. The Pad Sew Eew and Pad Thai were super flavorful. We also had the duck wonton and and egg rolls... Also delicious. Service was delightful as well. We live in Crown Point but will definitely be back!

Went at 8:15PM they close at 9PM and treated me great. I got Sushi and other food and it was delicious. Customer Service was fantastic. It seems as a Family run business. Recommend.

My go to soup when feeling under the weather. Ordered carry out, sent my daughter in, she comes back with the biggest smile. She says, "they are so friendly!!" Such a gem. Great food and great service. I recently found out about this place and have already ordered food from here several times. My personal fave is the Thai beef noodle soup. It’s delicious!
