The staff was wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious. The menu was authentic and they give you an option on level of spiciness.

The environment was absolutely wonderful and I will recommend this place to anyone that will listen and I have a new favorite place to eat!

I travel and try different cultures. Tonight they got chosen. I tried to call and order however they ignored my phone call and sent a text saying reservation and online ordering. Ummm? I went in and As I was ordering my food I asked to see the menu and decided to get the yellow curry. I said that’s all however obviously still flipping through the menu. The lady snatched the menu out my hand as if I couldn’t order anything else.

The food portions are priced well. I could barely eat my plate of pad thai. And the curries could definitely be eaten with 2 bowls of rice! I ordered a beef pad thai and my partner ordered the roasted duck curry. The duck was super tender!

Authentic Thai food with many options! Always flavorful and great portions for the price.

Okay, this is our NEW FAVORITE. We tried it on a whim and everything was perfection. I am so happy we tried Thai Orchid. We loved everything, but if I could recommend one thing it would be to try the Mussamun curry. It is a sweet and delicious curry with chunks of pineapple in it, so good!!! The veggie tempura was huge with so many pieces, very delicious. My tom yum with veggies was heavenly and felt like eating a bowl of health. My pad thai with shrimp was so yummy and NOT too salty like other places. We were delighted with how many vegetarian options there were and that you can customize your protein choice and spice level of many meals. Our server was quick and friendly. We saw her interacting with regulars and it was so sweet and made us so happy to watch their interaction. The kids LOVED her and it was so welcoming to witness. We will be back soon and often!

Great place for a date night or just to grab dinner. Friendly service. I had the Pad Ped (Thai Hot). It was crazy good and crazy spicy!!! You can adjust the spice level to your liking.
Definitely have to try it out.

I had the spring rolls and Pad Thai. Spring rolls were average with a nice crunch to them. The pad thai was one of the worsts I've ever had. It was extremely greasy and under seasoned, and gave me abdominal pain after eating. I would not recommended eating here.

The food is so flavorful and plenty of vegan options. This is one of my favorite Thai restaurants . We live 3.5 hours way, but whenever we are in town we try to come here.

Thai Orchid is a 4.4 🌟 restaurant? Based on what I had, I would subtract that by 3.4. Their crab Rangoon was triangular shaped and tasted absolutely nothing like what real crab Rangoon should taste like. Disgusting cream and other foriegn substances. The spring rolls were bland and flavorless. I wad given no soy sauce whatsoever and the sauce they did give me was bizarre and left a horrible taste in my mouth. The pai Thai noodles with chicken was just confusing. Whatever soup or sauce they had in it tasted like build dishwater with parsley. Finally, the orange chicken was an absolute disgrace. Bland, chewy disgusting chicken with no orange sauce even though their menu clearly states there is orange sauce on the chicken. The only orange thing I spotted was the orange slices around my bowl.
I spent $55 at this place and it's the only money they're ever getting from me.

Horrible food. I use to like this place. The beef I couldnt chew, the spring rolls tasted like they were frozen then fried like the ones you buy out of the freezer section. Not worth $60.. Won't return!!

Fantastic Thai food. I have had several items on the menu, and all have been great. I tend to gravitate toward Pad Kee Mao and Garlic Pepper chicken. Their service is always great, I have never been there for dinner as I am not in the area at that time. Great place!

Had the special tonight, Khao Soi. It was definitely great, and I hope they decide to add it to the menu for good. All of the ladies there are great as well, especially Pum! Very attentive to her tables, and great to talk to.

Their orange chicken was delicious, the beef and broccoli was equally as good, but those crab rangoons were to die for! Absolutely the best I've had in years. Love this place. Got a takeout order this past week. One of my family's favorite places in town. Lovely space, friendly staff, terrific food. Food is always delicious, and they have never messed up a take out order. Must recommend the beef Nam Tok salad. It doesn't look like much, but the flavor is shockingly good. it's my favorite Thai dish. Also love the salad rolls with spicy peanut sauce. Consistent, delicious, and friendly, you can't ask for better.

I had the Chicken Pad Thai. The chicken in it tasted old and chewy. Tasted like they had precooked the chicken and then let it sit out till they're ready to add to dishes. Noodles were hot, but the chicken was cold. The Satay was better but nothing to brag about.

I ordered Chicken Pad Thai and I got chicken and rice. I called to aAl if I could bring it back. I was told no I couldn’t and it was my fault for their mistake. I will never ever go back to this business.

If you love Thai food, this is your place! Be careful ordering it "Thai Spicy" though. I am a lover of spicy food, and that was a bit much for me. I recommend level 5 if you're adventurous. Their Laab is delicious, and you can't go wrong with the spring rolls or the Pad Thai. The Pad See Ew is excellent as well. Not one thing we've tried here has been disappointing.

I'm obsessed with this place! It's spicier than most regular Thai places - which I love. There are seven levels of heat ranging from Mild to Thai Hot (which makes my eyes water) Everything is delicious. The curry is amazing, seafood is perfectly cooked and delicious, fried rice is incredible and so far I've not had a single thing I didn't absolutely love. I've brought family here and there is always something for everyone to enjoy. Most dishes can be made vegetarian. The staff are incredibly kind and friendly and you will absolutely love this food! I cannot recommend this place enough.

Atmosphere: The ambience is average. The restaurant is located in the shopping center.

My food tasted great, but my family’s was bland and gross. We left and thirty minutes later we were all sick. The vegetable tempura was undercooked but tasted fine. We got pad Thai and basil rice which were super bland and had no flavor.

This was my first time at the restaurant and I would highly recommend the place. There are lots of yummy things there and it gets busy for dinner. Afterwards, I would recommend a walk down the strip mall of shops across the parking lot for some post-dinner walking so you don't feel so bad about the yummines you just experienced.

Unfortunately, their sauces in the dishes aren't as good lately (seem like sweet, generic Chinese sauce is used as a base now).

There is definitely better Thai food in town. The Thai dumplings are par but how I got served cold Penang curry is absolutely beyond my comprehension. Sent it back. Definitely heard the microwave work and now the seafood becomes tough from the reheating. Not gunna lie, I sadly regret coming here for dinner as the current reviewed score is absolutely misleading

This restaurant is fantastic, from the food to the service to the ambience! I ordered Tom Kha (a coconut based soup) and it was INSANELY delicious. I also ordered the Roasted Duck Curry which was incredible, and for dessert the sticky rice with Thai Custard. Everything was 10/10 delicious. The service was exceptional. Though they were busy, they were attentive, incredibly kind and accommodating. I will definitely be back!!

Second time eating here. The first time the portion was small and taste was halfway decent. Second time, I thought I'd give it a chance. The portion was even smaller, counted a total of seven tiny chicken pieces in a chicken dish that costed $14. Would not recommend it. Maybe it changed owner or chef....didn't taste that good and ridiculously small portions.

I order Pad Thi and the pasta was great BUT the chicken was old and dry. Very disappointed. The waitress never asked if I needed anything else or even if I liked the food.

Today I went in town to see a friend of mine who just came back from his homeland in South America. I wanted to give him a beak from downtown Indy so we went to Thai Orchid in Plainfield. I’ve been here twice and like their taste. The presentation is great but the quantity is disproportionate to the price. What made me upset was that before we finished our dishes, the waitress brought our checks. Especially my friend still had much left to finish. I’ve been to several Thai restaurants Indy area ( One on Mass Ave, one in Broad ripple, one on Rockville Rd, Bangkok Jazz on Ohio St, and Siam House in Bloomington, IN). They all treated me and my guests well and the quantity is really huge. I was very disappointed my visit to Thai Orchid today.

Very good food. Extensive menu. Fast and friendly service. Don't go there too late. The kitchen closes about 30 minutes before closing time. This restaurant also closes after lunch hours and do not open again until 04:00pm. Avoid the Thai Tapioca Pudding. It's not good.

We ordered via phone and staff was good. But they messed up the protein type in red curry, we ordered shrimp and they gave chicken. We called to tell them about it but it was hard for them to understand.

Me and 2 other friends got food poisoning. We each got an order of spring rolls. And after eating them we all got extremely sick. We ended up not eating the entrees we were saving for lunch the next day because we didn’t want to risk it.

I won’t lie. A strip mall in Plainfield, Indiana was the last place I expected to find awesome Thai food, but this place is legit. The pad Thai was savory, sweet and *just* hot enough to make you pace yourself. Highly recommend.

Went in about an hour before they close (at 3pm. They reopen at 4pm) was only one other person in the restaurant before me and a couple came in as I was leaving. Was greeted and seated right away. I opted for the Green Tea as my drink because most restaurants use a lot of plastics but my water actually came in a glass cup! I knew what I wanted when I walked in, #12 Garlic Pepper (w/chicken and shrimp) medium spice on a bed of cabbage which also comes with white rice and a complimentary baby Spring Roll, it's so cute, I love this! The meal was great. Just what I needed. Not too heavy, very well seasoned. Only got about 3 shrimp though...must've been saving those for the dinner folks lol. Reasonably priced and great service!

5 stars for the staff and quality of food. Mussamun curry was excellent with chicken. The green curry with pork was very good. Their Thai hot (unless they did not believe us) was not the hottest I have had but the flavors and heat were well balanced. Presentation of the food was great. Fish cakes were an intersting texture and very tastey as an appetizer.

Been pretty good but recently they seem to be putting less sauce for the orange chicken to the point where I dont have enough. They also didn't make it hot like I asked, not enough hot pepper flakes in it. I had to add some of my own. Also they changed the rice, the last time I had it they gave white rice, but now its yellow. Still good overall, seemingly good quality meat and rice tasted fine.

Very nice, cozy place. Had the spicy garlic chicken which was delicious. Friends had the curry chicken, and oyster beef. Everyone was extremely delighted.

I was here in town for work searching for good Thai food to eat came across Review early about not tipping the server while you were dining in. So I want to show them the support!. Food was good and quick btw!!!.

I went to the restaurant for the first time yesterday afternoon. Food was good, service was not. Messed up on the order and never came back and checked on us or asked if we wanted refills. They were not busy. When I did not write a tip down for him, he had nerve to bring my receipt back to me and ask if everything was okay, because I put $0.00 down. I was shocked, and I thought he was rude for asking. I earn my money at work just like everyone else does. So, when I look at my checking account today Tantawan put his own tip in for himself after clearly I made it $0.00. Good thing I took a picture of that receipt with my signature and have my customer copy with the same information. I will be disputing this and reporting it. It's stealing and fraud. You're another restaurant I will X and blast because you wrote in your own tip. Learn your menu and computer next time. It's your job! Thief!!

Excellent service and the food (shrimp and scallops at medium heat) was amazing! The Garlic pepper with chicken at medium heat is fantastic, too! You have a choice of heat.

I love this place. They do alot of the dishes with milk with coconut milk, so very safe for Lactose and milk allergenic people. They also put the l spiciness to your level!! Totally recommend if you are feeling like Pad Thai and/or Curry.

the server that was helping us, do not know her name but she was fairly young with short boy cut hair, was absolutely rude, we tried asking her question and her response was full or attitude stating we don’t carry nothing like that, while taking order she rushed too much, and doesn’t even let us finish all the answers weee we don’t do that, I mean just listen please we are your customers. She came to table saw three glass empty of water she fills one up and goes back to her chair and started playing on her phone. Few days later an extra 4 dollar charge showed up on our credit card because this people added tip without our permission. We wrote on the tip and added up the total, it was 32. Something dollar but we got charged for 37.some cents… ridiculous how could they do this? It’s consider as a fraud adding tip by your self?

My wife and I get carryout from here at least once (sometimes two or three times!) a week. That should tell you how much we like it. Best Thai food we've had anywhere. Reasonably priced, generous portions, and friendly staff.

EDIT: Although we no longer live in the Indy area, this is one of our first stops (along with White Castle 😁) whenever we return for a visit.

Server was very nice. I ordered the eggplant delight seafood. And it was good. My wife ordered her usual Thai dish every where she goes, the Pad Thai. She tells me it was good as well. The nice server was very attentive. I would eat here again.

I ordered the Dunkin’ noodles and it was so oily and then I asked them to exchange it and the next one it was totally burned. They didn’t even tried to ask me how’s the food neither they never visited my table. Very bad service and to be honest food was not good at all. It’s all my experience folks but every scenario can be different.

Their food is so refreshing! They fill up your plate or bowl with fresh vegetables and ingredients it literally has me in heaven! The ladies that work there are also so sweet they have full smiles on their face I love it! & they hooked me up with extra items because they are so nice & must had known I order from DoorDash & come in often! I was so surprised & let me tell you. You really can’t go wrong but try more than one entree you will be happy you did.

For the first time I tried Thai food and ordered the volcano chicken thai hot and it was more than amazing, more than expected, and I recommend this place and recommend eating more Thai food.
