I ordered the red curry and green curry. It was okay but the green curry had very little chicken it. Soup was too watery. The crab Rangoon was not that good either.

Customer service needs to be addressed. Cannot reach restaurant by phone and the voicemail box is full. My order was wrong and I can't even contact anyone lol. Order was wrong and tastes very strange. I've eaten here a bunch and something is off with the pho.

Pho sho, this is the best Pho spot in the Indy area, I've tried them all! Great atmosphere and service with even better Pho. If you're a Pho enthusiast or a first-timer you won't be disappointed I promise.

I went tonight around 6pm for the first time and it was delicious. I didn't catch my waitresses name but she was outstanding. She recommended the Nam Khao and I was happy with her recommendation. I only eat out once a week but I know I will be going back again soon and hopefully she can help me pick out another great dish to eat.

Edit: I went back tonight and had the same awesome waitress and she suggested kapoon which was another amazing dish. I also had the chance to meet the owner and she was great as well. You can tell that the owner has a real passion for providing the best food and experiences possible.

If you want to support a great local restaurant and want to experience the wonderful flavors from Laos, Thailand and Vietnam, Pho Real is the best choice for you in Indiana. I am lucky that I live only a block away, I can't wait until my next visit.

The best Thai food I’ve ever had!

Good food, but the portions are so small they barely fill up the takeout containers. Please do better, I ordered a chicken fried rice dinner portion and got a ridiculously small amount.

Wonderful food and friendly staff. Husband and I have dinner there once or twice a month.

Ordered the dinner portion of beef yakisoba for lunch, because the lunch sized one I got last week was a bit small. I ended up with the same size this time, just paid more for it. I even watched the cook realize his mistake and move it to the bigger container. I tried to bring this up to the girl at the counter, but she was so busy on her phone that she almost didn't charge me for my meal. I'm not sure what changed, but this used to be a great place and I'm sad to see what it has become.

I love this place. The curry is fantastic.

My review is based on how this restaurant delt with an issue with a straight black hair being found in my food in the middle of my lunch. The server was really great and enthusiastic with his service. However, I was unable to finish eating my food nor take it home because the hair soured my experience on top of the food coming to me lukewarm plus it was uncomfortably cold in the restaurant. I wish they would have adequately addressed my issue.

They have the best Pho I've ever had in my life! The broth is amazing! If you haven't ate here do yourself a favor and try it! Your taste buds will thank you!

Right side is a "LARGE" Tom Yum soup. ($7.95 plus tax). Left side is a SMALL. (4.95 plus tax). This is such a rip off. Everytime I order from here, I have to literally ask for them to actually give me a LARGE and not one ladle full of soup. I spent an extra $3 for a small and it's still only a tablespoon more soup!! It's like Mcdonald's putting a small fry into a large fry container. I've spent almost $15 tonight on just soup and still not even a full LARGE. At least get a container that actually fits what it is that you guys are willing to give. I thought it'd get better so I've continued to come but I'm done wasting my money here.

Love the Green Curry, the Beef Jerky, Spring Rolls, and the chicken.

If you are getting the curry the medium is pretty hot. So if you’re spice sensitive order wisely. I’m someone who enjoys spicy things but this is a slow burn. You won’t know how spicy it is until after a few minutes haha. But it’s delicious.

Great tasting food. My partner got the raw beef pho, and I got the Kapoon. We also tried an order of the fried tofu appetizer. Personally it wasn't for me, but the pho and Kapoon were fantastic. Would definitely go back.

My only qualm is that the estimated time when ordering online was 30 minutes, and it was closer to 45 minutes to be ready.

Very, very good Pho

We drove here over an hour, because my husband wants to try this restaurant’s food. Food was good. But service was very bad. Kept ignoring us, did not bring sauce and spoons for the soup. We were ready to pay and waited for them to bring check. Finally brought the check and again kept ignoring until my husband had to go to the desk and pay.

It's rare that I find a nice spot to eat that I want to return to in order to try more of the menu. A selection of Southeast Asian dishes from different countries is nice. Kinda felt sorry for the lone server there, but she did well considering how busy she was all by herself...

Their Thom Kem is the best I've ever had! I go out of way to stop in to get it 😍

The food is delicious, you won't regret it. The price is in the perfect spot of cost benefit. The portions are large and enough to feed someone very hungry, or twice someone not so hungry 😊

While moving in to town I decided to take a break and find some good food. Well, it appears I found it. The Pho broth itself was the best I have had in 15-20 years. I nice variety of SE Asian dishes. Next time I go in I will be trying something Laotian.
Laotian, Thai and Vietnamese cuisine as good as I've had.

Love it here - I get vegetarian pho with chicken broth or the pho chicken and add veggies. The curry is great too but it’s hard to order anything other than the pho. Always amazingly fresh and hot, noodles aren’t over done and the right spice level and aromatics. My daughter likes their taro boba as well and always orders the tropical fried rice or rare beef pho. I’ve never had a bad meal at this restaurant and have been going for 5+ years.

My go to place for some good Pho!

I am visiting from out of town and was excited to find a place to get some pho. I got my food to go otherwise I probably would've just sent it back and left. The meat was bland and flavorless and the rolls tasted like they came out of a Costco freezer pack. The nuoc mam was so bland it's almost like it's making fun of real Vietnamese food.

I was seriously excited to get a taste of back home but this is definitely not like what I grew up with. Super disappointing.

Prior to my visit, I had never tried Pho, but heard great things about this place from co-workers, so I figured this would be a good place to start. So I dropped in the other day, ordered the Pho special, and it was great! I assumed I would enjoy the meal, but it was better than expected! Definitely coming back!

I placed an order for 5 wings (well done) & carb Rangoon . My chicken was uncooked , bloody & pink on the inside . I returned the food & asked for a refund . The manager ( lady ) was cleaning & said she’ll refund my money before the business close . She stated that the cook mistimed my order . My main concern is food poisoning & if so , I will take future actions . I’m very upset , this was my first time ordering from pho real The owner did refund my money & she was very apologetic . I do appreciate the free meal she offered & because of her honesty & effort to replace my order , I will try the restaurant again .

Pho was ok. Kapoon is what I got which is pork belly. There wasn't enough pork belly in it imo. There was supposed to be a mix of crispy fried pork belly and then stewed pork belly. I liked the texture of the fried, there just wasn't enough of it. My son got the chicken Pho. It was decent, I think his has a richer better broth to it. Needed more lime and cilantro, as well as meat. We also got a beef Banh Mi sandwich which was pretty good but very small. Added the hoison sauce to it, and it really brought the flavor levels up. Also added chili oil and peppers they have on the table to the Pho which added another level to it. I am not a Pho connoisseur by any means, but it was overall ok food imo.
And I see a lot of people complaining of service, they must've addressed this because we had no issues. Would possibly go back to try other dishes.

Food was good. Waitress was no good lmaooo. She never came to check on us and spent the majority of her time at the register staring into space. Then she got into her car and left without even giving us our check, let alone a refill. It was just bizarre. Will be back of course food is superb, they should work on their wait staff tho. Hella dirty tables and they could seem to care less 🤷🏾‍♀️

This is my first time trying Pho so I don't have anything to compare to. Nonetheless it was very good! I would go back.

Fantastic place to eat, friendly and fast service, food was fantastic. The menus explain everything really well, options to add items were listed. Just an all around good experience.

The pho and spring rolls are delicious, but the service is absolutely terrible. The owner is in desperate need of more staff. The server (whom I believe is the owner/manager) was in such a hurry, she literally threw the food and drinks down on the table and ran off. We never received any napkins or utensils, so my wife snagged everything we needed off the server station. Do not come here if you don’t have at least an hour plus to spend. If I could rate the place for food alone, it would receive five stars. Unfortunately, the service needs to drastically improve before I can go above three stars.

Would give 0 stars if I could due to the service. Pho was average but the service was horrendous. The two girls serving us were staring us down from the kitchen area and being obnoxious. Whenever they came to our table, they were both laughing so hard when there was nothing comical about the situation and it made us feel super uncomfortable. They rushed us with our bill and kept coming to the table to ask if they could take the tab when we weren’t even halfway done eating. When we said we weren’t ready yet, the server turned around and started mocking us to the girl in the kitchen area. On our way out, they yelled “have a great night!” In a rude tone and hadn’t done that to any other customer walking out. It seemed like their jobs were a joke to them and it was a super uncomfortable experience. The two girls serving us were clearly judging us and were flat out rude while we were polite and respectful customers. We will never be coming to this business again and I highly recommend that you don’t either unless you like being laughed at and mocked by the employees. The vibe in this restaurant was horrible and those who take the time and spend the money to go out to eat should be treated with some decency and respect. I cannot believe people who work in the service industry and work for tips would behave this way to customers.

The pho was excellent! Spring Rolls tasted fresh out of the garden. Brought a Bahn MI sandwich home for my son and he had it gone in a New York minute! Didn't eat the vermicelli yet but excited to eat it tonight for dinner.

Service was friendly. Basil fried rice was delicious! If you are considering the green curry, treat the spice levels with respect.

I believe it’s some of the best tasting pho in Carmel/ surrounding areas - and I knew it would be from the second I smelled it. The broths’ wonderful fragrance could only be the result of spices and flavors used purposefully and knowledgeably.

The pho is simply delicious and backs up the expectations set by the fragrant smell. Incredibly flavorful and unique - as a pho should be. Perfect for a winter night, or any time really.

The bahn mi were also delicious - will satisfy a sandwich craving in a unique and delicious way - though the serving size is modest (this is reflected in the price) so you may want to order two - in my opinion the perfect opportunity to try a different meat on it!

If you’ve never had Vietnamese food - try this place. If you love Vietnamese food - try this place (if you haven’t already).

Perhaps one of the best authentic Vietnamese Pho and Cambodian food restaurants on the North side of this city.

Very good service too, but you may avoid the very busy noon to 12:30 pm lunch period if u are in a hurry.

Ask for the Vietnamese drip coffee and mesmerize by its drip right in front of you before the tasty food comes.

The Pho was very good. The broth was very rich and had a warmth to it that made the dish very flavorful. The service was meh. The server was polite, she just seemed disconnected. The atmosphere was dark, but not warm and inviting. I was there for a meal and I will return for the Pho.

Right when we walked in we got waters then literally nothing after that , so we got up and left after 10 mins or so of being ignored. Wasn’t busy either. Although the food was very good. I ordered 4 soft spring rolls and 2 pho well done and payed for it. They gave me my order and I didn’t know they didn’t give me the 4 spring rolls so I went back in to tell them and payed again and they gave me my spring rolls and I went to my car to find out they only gave me 2…I was so fed up that I didn’t even go back in no more Because I didn’t wanna pay again for an extra 2 spring rolls…(I repeatedly asked the lady for 4 twice, I for sure said it loud and clear don’t know why she put it as 1 or 2..I think she was having a bad day) but it’s fine

Food was delicious and authentic. We ordered for carryout and although it said we our food would be ready at 530p, I waited an extra 45 min in the restaurant until 615p..so that was a little frustrating. Give extra time for carryout orders, the food is worth the wait.

Had the pork vermicelli dish, and it was fabulous, so much better IMO than any other in Indy. The pork had a great flavor, and had NO gristle. Overall, the dish just tasted fresher somehow than the other restaurants that serve this dish. The staff is friendly and attentive and the decor is nice (not some hole in the wall). Too bad I live so far away, I'd be there a lot! I'm going to try a curry next. Give them a try.

I always love a good Pho place but this left me unsatisfied. It was seemingly hot as heck in the restaurant. Broth felt like it was lacking flavor and seemed watered down. There definitely was not enough of noodles to broth ratio and the flank steak seemed very thick and fatty. Boba was undrinkable since I felt like the tapioca balls could have been overcooked as they were very very mushy. I have had a lot of Pho and Boba tea to make such opinions. Service was mediocre at its best as we never got our water glasses refilled. We came here because of the great reviews but maybe it was just an off day?!

Came here for dinner, loved their beef pho and spring rolls. My friend enjoyed her bahn mi. My Thai tea was lovely, they also serve boba which is fun! The servers were very nice and attentive. Will absolutely come back, would recommend!

My kid had the pho 3 and I had the lunch bud bai gaprow with chicken, mild, both of which were AMAZING. It is in a very unassuming strip mall. We stopped by after a gas stop in a cross country trek. Now we have bookmarked this spot in case we are close in the future so we can make a detour. The flavors were complex and intriguing.

Was okay, good even. Vegetarian pho was very light on veggies. Chicken satay very dry. Boba tea was good, staff exceptionally friendly.

Oh yeah, off the charts good. Dine here weekly, will post some pics in near future. Everything on the menu is spot on, especially the vegetable pho 🍜.

Mango with sticky rice is killer for dessert.

We ordered special pho and green curry and spring roll and Tom yum soup. Left a message said no bell peppers in Green Curry but got a lot in it. Pho is fair, the broth is too sweet. Tom yum soup is good. I’d like peanut sauce for Spring roll but their is sweet chili which is not too bad.

The food is a hit or miss. The main things that could be better is the bubble tea (not made well) and dipping sauce for egg rolls/crab rangoon (I have to bring my own Mae Ploy). I still like to go here when I don’t feel like cooking though. The hard working servers are always polite & friendly which makes the experience better. (:

Updated Review: I left my original review below because I really do like the food here, but the service isn't just bad, it's borderline upsetting. I'm also not even speaking from a "being too slow" standpoint, I'm typically there by myself over lunch and in no rush so waiting doesn't really bother me.

I'm actually referring to what I consider to be rude and dismissive behavior. My wife and I have been in and at times and when we've politely asked for something like water or the check, we've been interrupted by the server prior to even finishing a sentence with a "Ya, I know..." Again, I enjoy the food and I don't even mind waiting or taking my time over lunch but the attitude and approach some staff is just to the point where I'm not willing to deal with it any longer.

Love this place. Great Beef and Tendon Pho with tasty appetizers and Thai Iced tea! If I worked anywhere close to this place, I'd probably go broke eating here each day.

They need help! I feel bad for the one server they have that was expected to deal with a full restaurant and a line for togo orders.
When I did see the server she was very nice and apologetic.
I liked the soft spring rolls, but the Pho was just ok.

Authentic, delicious, our server was nice and informative. My only issue was the bathroom. It was nice and clean, but 1 at a time...

Customer service was okay, but I would not come back for the food.

This place is overpriced, with underwhelming food, terrible customer service, and poor management. And I'm being forced to give one (1) star instead of zero (0) in order to post a review.

Five (5) cigarette length (and barely as thick) spring rolls, and some spicy yet flavorless curry that wasn't made as ordered (with the rice missing) was purchased and disappointing.

But managements lack of urgency to respond and recitify this problem was even worse. This will definitely be my first and only visit to this place.
