I have been going to this restaurant religiously for the past 3 years. I am in here at least 1-2 times per week. Easily my favorite restaurant in Indy. Lunch specials are fantastic.
Sam does a great job hosting and serving. I tell everyone I know to go here and bring all my guests here
Thai Thai is located in the former Sawasdee site. We tried them for dinner for the first time this evening. I personally rate it as the best Thai food I have tasted in the north side of this town.
We ordered a small bowl of Thai noodle soup with tofu, Yum Woon Sen (glass noodle salad with pork slices), Basil duck stir fry, Vegetables lover with pork. All came with rice (See photos) .
All dishes were cooked with very fresh ingredients, the pork and duck were tender and NOT overcooked like many other Thai in town. More importantly, their sauce is NEVER sweet like many other Thai joints in town.
All in all, a very pleasant discovery after so many other Thai disappointments in this town. We will go back and also recommend this restaurant to our friends and in here.
[Disclaimer: they did not ask me to say all these good words. These are our honest but critical assessments].
Loved the food! We got the Tom Kha Soup, the Fresh Salad Roll and Pad Kee Mao! It was delicious and layered with fresh flavors. I could taste the love in every bite. The restaurant looked really nice and we loved all the updates to the space. Our only concern is that it was cold and maybe they were having problems with their heat that day. Overall, it's a winner and we will be back but maybe carryout until their heat is working (smile).
Ordered To-Go. Excellent authentic flavor. Finally found a Thai place in Indy with a legitimate amount of heat. Fair price and taste is 8.5/10. Can’t wait to return!
I heard this place had just opened. I enjoyed my spring rolls, pad thai, and thai iced tea. Everything was fresh, the dining area was clean and my order was just as I asked for. The only thing I would want to change is, bring the tea out with cream so that we can adjust the sweetness. They offered no options for that. It's early days so we will see. I will definitely be back. The pad thai was totally worth the visit. 😀
Very bad experience. We was in front of the restaurant inside our car at 10:50 waiting for the restaurant to open at 11Am. the waitress come out and unlock the door at 11, so we got out of the car. As soon as she saw us, she lock the door, so we was waiting outside in very cold temp. She notice us outside but she did not open the door again. So we went back inside the car. After 5 mins, she came and unlock the door. So we went out of the car again, and enter the restaurant. She look like have a bad day before the day even started, when we enter, she dont even greet us but just stared until I say table for 4. 2 of us already ate so we only order 2 dish for 2 people. After order she act like we needed to order more like sincr it's 4 people. She look at us and said only 2 dish for 4 people in an angry way. It's ridiculous how the server charge us gratuity for ordering two dish. On the menu, it said that gratuity will be applied for party over 6. But really it's a party of 4 and only 2 of us are eating ordering 2 dishes. I did not look at the check carefully, so I tipped 18% but it's ridiculous how she charge 18%. The waitress look like she dont even want to work. Next time pleass check your check carefully before paying cuz that lady will rip you off.
Thai Thai is one of the places we go to fairly regularly when we are in Indy. We love Thai food and Thai Thai hasn't failed us. Everyone is helpful and friendly and you can feel the family vibe. It's worth making the drive from IUI to Thai Thai when we visit campus.
I’ve eaten there over 20 times and not once had a bad experience.

Food is always hot, fresh, and delicious. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Waitress is always pleasant. I love this place.
Great tastes, good value, a gem in NORA
Excellent food! The staff person I spoke with was very very helpful because I had never been there... It was so good I went back the next week! Again I say the food is excellent!!

Best Thai that I like! Delicious!
Best Thai food around, eaten here alot of times and each time is delicious. Great service
Best Thai on the north side but your new online ordering system will prevent me from returning. I literally can't order from you any more. Just wasted 30 minutes trying to get an ID and order, now it won't send me a verification code for my phone number so it won't process my order. Let me know when you've fixed things.
Phenomenal food. Best thai i’ve ever had.
One of my favorite lunch spots, eat here about once a week. The food is absolutely delicious, especially the soup. The server/owner is fantastic. She will learn your preferences and adjust the dishes until they are exactly to your liking. Portions are very generous and everything is very fresh and clean.
Updated this review two years after original.
Returned to this place today and sadly the quality of ingredients is lower than before. Decor is cute, tables are clean w a fresh cut flower on the table. Crab rangoons over powered by too much onion in the filling. They were fried up and presented nicely though. I felt the curry was a bit water and though I ordered a 3 spicy which they called hot, I had to ask for some heat bc my dish had zero!
Right now I’m like Thai Nine on Michigan Road a bit north.
Had a pretty good red curry off the lunch menu. Reasonably priced with good service.
The food is fantastic here, and it’s a lovely environment inside. That said, the service for takeout has been exceptionally poor. The last three times we have ordered multiple entrees and one is always incorrect. Tonight two pad Thai wun sen dishes were instead pad Thai, which we didn’t discover until arriving home. We called the restaurant and asked that they remake and we would bring the incorrect dishes back. Over half an hour later, we have the correct dishes but they are half as large as the original ones, and the hostess barely apologized. Last time, she again just handed over without even an apology at all. We love the food here, and may return to dine in, but we will find another Thai restaurant for takeout.
This is my favorite Thai restaurant in town. The menu is so healthy and flavorful. The Asparagus Delight and Thai Grilled Chicken are just too delicious and so is the Thai Tea. I can't get enough of this place.

The food is amazing I just need to warn people....if you order online, the payment goes through a 3rd party and my finances card ended up getting fraudulent charges on it a few days later. Some fat burn company from Tennessee. Just warning you to not pay online. Food is amazing though.
I stopped in for lunch and was very delighted. Food was delicious had the Broccoli w/chicken hot🌶🌶🌶 was served with white rice and salad. I also had a nice little bowl of soup for an appetizer. Wait staff was very attentive and kind. It's a tucked away little gem behind dunkin donuts. If you're looking to mix it up and try something tasty and affordable, look no further "Thai Thai" 10/10
The chicken in the Pad Thai was nasty and hard to chew..get it with shrimp because it taste better..
I ordered the Thai Spicy Basil entrée to-go a few weeks ago and it was the best dish my husband and I had eaten, so we knew we’d order it more often.
My husband stopped by today to order the same dish and they sent him home with fried rice and shrimp. We don’t eat much seafood because it isn’t our favorite, so he took it back to be corrected.
He arrived home and the shrimp was removed, but it was the same dish and not the Thai spicy basil entrée he had asked for 2x now. We’re pretty sure they just removed the shrimp and re-heated the same rice again.
Luckily, neither of us are allergic to seafood so we weren’t worried about it too much. We decided not to waste another trip, and we still enjoyed the rice but it wasn’t what we had originally ordered.
We hope they just had an off-day but asking for a dish 2x and being sent with the wrong dish 2x doesn’t give us a lot of hope for our next visit.
I’ve tried pretty much every Thai restaurant on the northwest side and Thai Thai is the all around best. Haven’t had anything I haven’t loved, but a few that I always come back to are the Mussaman Curry, Pad Thai, and Pad Wun Sen. The staff is very friendly, and the prices are very reasonable for the quality and quantity. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough.
My food was really good, I've been thinking of the salmon ever since!
This place is delicious. If you can't Fast Wok this is worth the drive. New favorite spot.
Beautiful, laid back vibe and delicious favorites!
Everything was great! Zero complaints! Only compliments!
The food is so delicious. The crab rangoon is the best so far in the city.
Incredible food - new favorite Thai place! Will be back.
Ordered their cashew stir fry through DoorDash. Food was well made, vegetables were fresh, heat level met ordered expectations, and the food was hot upon arrival. Will definitely be ordering again.
Best Thai in Indy, hands down.
Ordered the Asparagus Delight- so yummy! Kind service and all the food was so FRESH. Very enjoyable!
Best restaurant I have eaten at in years. So yummy. Thank you. ♥️
Excellent food and wonderful service. The interior is very nice.
Can't say anything about the service or atmosphere because I got this on Ubereats. FINALLY! A Thai restaurant that delivers Thai Hot when asked. Got the Massaman Curry, Cashew Chicken, Pad Thai, Spring Rolls, Crab Rangoon, and Satay. All awesome. Seriously the Thai Hot is legit spicy.
Great Thai food! This is a go to spot!
Delicious highly recommend the chicken satay!
Delicious food. Quickly prepared. Will definitely go again.
Delightful service in a very pleasant location. I had a lunch special that was very reasonably priced and very flavorful. I have eaten at Thai restaurants around the world and this measures up to many of the best.
Started with Tom Yum soup which was prepared properly and tasted terrific. Finished with a tasty light and lovely Vegetable Fried Rice with Pork. Great service, atmosphere, clean, and set for Valentines Day. Thai Thai sits at 86th and Ditch in strip behind Dunkin. Authentic cuisine, lucky 86th street.
The food is amazing and the service is great! Nice place to visit or to pick up!
Great food, like being Thailand
Try it soon if you try it at all. They may not last long. The "no public restroom" hand written sign taped to the front door is no way to start a customer relationship. It does set the accurate tone though. The customer service was poor, which is hard to do in a phone in order. There was only one other party inside the restaurant and they looked restive. The interior looked and smelled pleasant. The food was ready and waiting when arrived even though there was no one to greet me. My wait was brief and not outrageous. The food was well packed and remained hot for the cold ride home. I ordered medium spicy ("hot"). The heat level was perfect for me. For my first visit I ordered a dish I have had many times at different locations for purposes of comparison. The Thai basil with chicken was good but not special. The spring rolls were good but also nothing special. The best I can say for the food is that it does not offend.
Probably one of the best restaurants I've ever been to! Food was so so good and service was great, too! Only wish there was more Thai options on the kids menu.
Best Thai food everything is delicious and the Thai tea and coffee is very good
The food is really good. The spices is real!! like back home unlike other thai restaurant😭
Authentic Thai food! This is the only place in Indy I'm aware of that has Esan style papaya salad with salted crab (som tam bpoo plara) and moo ping. The rest of the food was great too.
Deliciosa comida y el lugar está muuuy bello!!! Personal muy amable!
Food is prepared to your desired heat and with or without MSG. They are very fast and good.
Food was delicious, especially the Pad Thai and vegetable spring rolls. Went in to order carry out and order was a bit mixed up. Didn't get sweet and sour chicken, but got an extra meal of something delicious!
The orange chicken is great.
So glad there’s a new local Thai spot in this location. I stopped in for lunch and everything from the quality of the food to the speed of the service was top notch. Great lunch specials.
Service was good but the food was beyond terrible (photo attached). Basically, some curry sauce from a jar with a few slices of boiled chicken on top. When it came to the table, we gave it the college try but just couldn’t make it past a few bites. We paid for the appetizer and walked out.
Great 👍
Second time having take out. Just as delicious as the first time! Service was great and the food was ready when they said it would be.
Sawasdee used to be in this location. Sad that it is closed. Tried the new place there called Thaiger Bistro. Food was good, nothing to write home about. If I was local, I'd eat there again as it is serviceable. I won't drive 25 miles for it again.
I personally did not enjoy this thai restaurant. The employees were kind. The food was prepared quickly and was packaged nicely.
We've ordered takeout from Thaiger Bistro twice, and are planning to order again soon! Everything we've ordered has been delicious so far. We've tried garlic pepper beef, basil fried rice, pad see ew, pad Thai, and green curry. Our favorite is the garlic pepper beef made with medium spice. Our orders have been prepared promptly, the customer service has been excellent, and the restaurant is beautiful. Also the portion sizes are very generous!
The noodles are perfectly chewy and hold the sauce nicely.
I want to love this place. I do. It’s in a great “location” with ambience and sentiment.
Location is prime but parking can be tricky. Tonight it wasn’t. But it was also just a couple days after a large storm (snow) and frigid temps that night. So parking was okay. Not to mention the grand opening.
The host and wait staff were attentive but there was no one else when we walked. About four other parties arrived during the our visit.
The do have both hard and soft drinks. The menu is straightforward and easy to choose. For vegans. The options were typical but as per the norm. Thai restaurants do an okay job providing alternatives.
The food was- 6-8 / 10 this time. But I didn’t order anything more than a salad and started. It was good. But not great. I believe this place needs a second chance. So I’m happily going to give it that.
We will see. But in the meanwhile everyone should give it a chance.

They recently opened at that location and I was not going to write anything but i believe that every business deserves a good and a honest review to help them stay motivated and improve. I am really thankful that they were open on Christmas Eve, and that night all I needed was a nice, warm, and comfort meal. The restaurant was empty when I walked in, the servers, were nice and professional, but could still improve on the service. They made several.small mistakes, messed up my orders, and didn't offer me any water until the end. But nobody is perfect and with practice they will get better. They serve tasty meals at a reasonable price 😋. I will definitely return and try other items on the menu.
I love this restaurant. It’s my favorite place to eat. I get the Hawaiian fried rice. The ingredients are always fresh and tasty.
Really good first experience. Wife got the pad see ewe tofu, i got the cashew chicken, and an order of spring rolls. Got there within 20 minutes and it was ready. Got the food home and everything was delicious! Looking forward to ordering again!
Tried the massaman curry. it had no peanuty taste and was unlike any massaman we've ever tried. It wasn't bad but not something we'd order again. The pad thai was ok, not great. we'd get that again. the problem is the prices are too high to randomly try things waiting for a hit.
Delicious food, reasonable price, and good service.
