Everything was so good and the restaurant immaculately clean. I even got crab rangoons to go and almond cookies. Definitely check them out and you’ll feel as if you’re in Thailand . The ice tea was refreshing indeed!

Had the Lunch Special.
The green curry chicken w/coconut milk. Great flavor. Chicken was tender. It came with like a simple tofu chicken bra soup it was okay. A little bland. I also ordered the chicken satay. The salad that came with it was really fresh and crisp and that nice flavor. Peanut sauce tastes really good that chicken had good flavor but it was a little dry and tough. The owners are still there they've been friendly for the last 12 years I've been going maybe more.

I am hoping the place/owner might just have been having a bad day. If this has been our first experience there, we would never have gone back. Perhaps they prefer just doing carry outs now?

The food was delicious but the service was lacking. When we walked in, the worker said to us "anywhere" meaning we could seat ourselves. Anytime we asked him for anything like plates, he was very dismissive, as if we were bothering him. When we asked for a bag to take our boxes of leftovers, he told us they had no bags, despite the fact that we watched him bag up several to-go orders. It's too bad because we very much enjoyed the food. I definitely recommend the egg rolls, pad see ewe, and the curry dishes. Also, it wasn't easy to get into the few parking spots on the side of the building.

We really enjoy Chai Yo! It's BYOB, which is nice, so we brought a bottle of wine and they had glasses and a chiller. We ordered an app platter that had crab rangoons, which were so good that we ordered another crab rangoon. Lightly crispy, filled with cream cheese and crab, and a touch of scallion. So tasty. We all got different things, including red curry with chicken (yummy), beef pho, sweet and sour chicken (it was okay), pad Thai, and another noodle dish that is escaping me. Everything was tasty and we took home some leftovers which were super yummy the next day. Recommend for sure compared to some other Thai places near here!!

Service was fast and kind. Food is reasonably priced and delicious. Portions are fair as are the prices. This place is competing for the top crab Rangoon I’ve ever had. I am looking forward to returning.

This spot is a hidden gem with really good food, specifically the panang curry and pad Thai! The atmosphere and service is no frills and the air conditioning wasn’t very good on a hot summer day. Regardless, the food is definitely worth trying and look forward to visiting again!

Incredible food and a lovely, quiet atmosphere. Parking is a little tough but it’s so so worth it for some of the best pad see ewe in the suburbs! Fairly priced, reasonable proportions, and above all else excellent taste. I will be coming back regularly!

Chai Yo Thai is my favorite Thai restaurant in the area, I drive about 15 mins to go there over closer Thai restaurants. Food is always on point, I enjoy the crab rangoons, Tom Yum soup with the Noodles, Green Curry, and the Chai Yo Fried Rice. The owner is always lovely. Thank you!

We genuinely love this place and come once a week, I always get the Tom yum soup and an entree. You cannot go wrong with anything here!! They pack it really well for to go.

Outstanding food. Very courteous service. They carried my food out to my car as the sidewalk was snow covered. Highly recommend Tom yum soup, Rama noodles and Singapore noodles.

The best thai food ever. I honestly have never had better thai in my life. The curries and soup are to die for and the food is extremely fresh. The owners are very hospitable and the server is attentive and genuinely friendly. They have great vegetarian and vegan options and can make any dish vegan or vegetarian.

I've been coming here for years! They have a sign that says they have the best Pad Thai, and they truly do. I brought a friend there who has spent a lot of time in Thailand and she was actually surprised that the food is comparable. I normally have the Pad See Eiw, and that is great too. I also always get their Thai Iced Tea and their Thom Kha Kai soup is my favorite. My only issue is when I order To Go or Uber Eats, it doesn't taste the same packed up. So I highly recommend eating at the restaurant. It's not typically that busy, which shocks me, but at least you won't have to worry about getting seated right away. I'm sure you won't regret it.

Horrible waiter he was very rude as soon as we walk. We ask for ice he didn’t even acknowledge us. He didn’t want to be bothered at all!!! Didn’t want to look at us. We felt that he was racist. Definitely don’t recommend this place. It was so bad to the point we had to get up and leave. Maybe if you just did pick up definitely not a sit down restaurant.

Wow I just discovered this place and stopped by to grab some carry-out. Great service , reasonable pricing. The food was amazing and very fresh. I had the ginger beef. Will definitely return.

Tasty food with great lunch special prices

I came to eat lunch with my coworkers and the hostess was so rude and unprofessional. I don't understand why but she did not seem to want to work today. Everyone has a bad day but we are paying customers. She rolled her eyes and huffed and puffed when we asked for our beverages. Its unfortunate because the food is actually decent but after the treatment we received I will NEVER go back.

We stumbled on this spot, looking fir a place for a mid-afternoon Sunday lunch. What a delightful surprise!

We each started with soup- Tom Yum and Egg Drop. The Tom Yum was full of fresh vegetables, while the Egg Drop broth was complex and tasty. For our main courses, we had Pad Thai and a Noodle Curry - both with Tofu. The dishes were both delicious!

Service was delightful. We kept a business card to make sure we had the restaurant's info. We look forward to returning very soon!

My girlfriend and I met here on our lunch breaks from work, and we called in our order ahead of time because we were both in a rush. The owner refused to let us eat at the restaurant because we called in our order and was really rude about it. I still have no idea why we couldn't eat at the restaurant and why he was so rude about it. Only one person was eating in the restaurant at the time so every other table was open and we were paying customers.

Food is solid, portions are small. Won't be eating here again.

Eggs rolls sometimes don't contain any shrimp. When it does, it tastes better. That's what used to make this place more unique. The Tom soup not for me at all. Kinda tasted like ketchup. However, their chicken pad Tai is generally really good. Keep your standards up and you will continue to do great.

Decent thai place

I have a little thing I do by myself where I’ll go to a random Thai restaurant and order my favorite dish, pad see eiw. This was the most random restaurant I could’ve picked. Far away from the city, in a small town. I was excited. The food was delicious. Authentic. And filling. I wish I had this quality of Thai food in Chicago. 5 stars. Would recommend!

The food was really good! But man, OH MAN! What's up with the service?! I understand it's COVID Country out here and the server sure acted like I was the virus too. Seriously though, he threw the menus to us from about 4 feet away. Didn't ask what we'd like and just gazed at us until we uttered our dishes we'd like. The check was thrown to the table too. A consistency you don't want! It's sad that the front of house is so unkind because you can tell the people in the kitchen care about the cuisine.

Good food horrible service. I've been here often and no issues. The Thai staff is amazing. Today there was a white male running the front and he was rude from the moment I walked in. I sat there waiting and waiting as he catered to 2 tables of white patrons but he totally ignored me the only brown person in the place. Once he finally came to me he had a real serious demeanor and an attitude. At this point I felt disrespected and discriminated against. This is disappointing because they have good food but I won't be coming back.

The Som Tum (papaya salad) had very little papaya in it…i had a hard time finding any! It was mostly iceberg lettuce…which should not even be in this dish!

Went to order take out today. The guy at the front never spoke or greeted me as a customer. Just stared at me and didn’t ask to take my order or anything. I spoke and asked him was he going to keep staring at me or speak and his next words were “what do I want?” I’m going to take a wild guess and say this establishment doesn’t like BLACK WOMEN. Especially from reading through the reviews. Customer service sucks. I’d rather drive to New Pot in Oak Park.

For the first time during Covd-19 situation on 2021 Monther's day, I had to order few dinner items in this restaurant online. I must tell you that my wife (the Mother) and her son (and of course I) liked the stuff so much, we like to get more in future. Great tasty food, reasonable price, spicy - if you want, otherwise mild curry taste of India mixed with Chinese cuisine.

I live 2.2 miles away and it took me 6 minutes to get there - everything was hot and ready when I arrived-that isn't fast, its magic! My husband and I randomly chose Chai Yo Thai on Uber and I will never get Thai anywhere else. So very delicious! We’ve had multiple curries and the pad Thai. Everything has been great. I could probably eat dozens of the curry puffs!! Highly recommend

Best Tai I have ever had! They offer "Tai Hot" level of spicy and it's amazing. Their cuisine, from everything I've tried, is a flavor sensation and tastes super fresh. All ingredients can be differentiated and appreciated. They offer delivery through the hub and also offer carry-out during this Panicdemic. Very friendly staff. Only thing is... this food seems VERY addictive, proceed with caution ;)

We live in the area and are so happy we found this spot! We ordered a tasty Pad Woon sen, with perfect glass noodles, Pad See Ew with chicken and broccoli chicken. The broccoli was cooked perfectly and not mushy! Our meal was fresh, hot and really good!
Our waitress was delightful. The prices were very reasonable considering the quality and quantity of food. We will definitely return.

This place has phenomenal food. The Crab Rangoon and Pad Thai are my favorites. The veggie egg rolls are great too. The servings are fairly large, and the prices are fair. The only reason I didnt give this place 5 stars is because they seem to have a staffing issue and are often slow with the service and bringing a check. They also do not have a soft drink fountain, so you have to purchase cans of soda if you want a drink. If you're not starving, or in a rush, it has really great food.
