The food has excellent flavor and mouth feel, being truly authentic Thai cuisine. I definitely recommend the Pad Thai as well as the squid rings. The squid rings are very crunchy and come with a sweet chili sauce that fits perfectly with it, and the pad Thai has that amazing peanut/tamarind flavor that has a sweet and savory taste that leaves you feeling satisfied without the discomfort that sugar filled american-asian food provides. The owners are some of the nicest people I have met as well, and we chat every time I come back to visit. Overall one of my favorite food spots in the area

My husband & I stopped here for the first time today after having our car serviced at Romeoville Toyota. We got there just before the special lunch prices ended, but Jeed was gracious enough to allow us to have lunch. It was delicious! Everything was hot & fresh and we really liked that they don’t use MSG in their cooking. We had such a pleasant conversation with Jeed (it’s just she & her cousin running the place, so go see them!) about Thai food. She even brought me a sample of Thai iced tea that was delicious! We’ll be back SOON!

We go here to get a good meal at a good price that is a little more exotic. I am a picky eater due to allergies. My husband loves spicy foods that I can't eat. We can get the right amount of spice for every dish they serve. I crave some of the foods that I have eaten there. The owners are very friendly too.

Today was my first time trying Thaiway and it was great! I ordered the lunch special (price is great by the way) that came with Pad See Ew, an egg roll and wonton soup. I haven’t had good Thai food in a while so I’m really glad I stopped in. The lady up front greeted me and was really nice, she asked me about myself and we had a nice lil talk about “spicy” foods lol. Food and service were excellent, I will be back to see you soon!

This place makes me so incredibly happy every time I come here, and every time I visit, I’m upset with myself for not coming more often! Do you ever walk into a place and feel like you’re part of the family? That’s exactly how I feel when I’m here. The host is the sweetest lady ever, and she remembers me even when I’ve only been in a few times a year. They take so much pride in preparing authentic Thai cuisine, and it really is the real deal!

The food is genuinely awesome. A little tip: skip the regular Chinese eggrolls if it’s to go—they’re meh after awhile and they need the side sauce. When done in the eggrolls and sauces are great. But the crispy Thai eggrolls? They’re absolutely amazing! The Pad See Ew always fills me with happiness. If you love spicy food, order it Thai-style—you won’t regret it!

Not only is the food incredible, but the prices are super affordable, too. Every bite takes me back to the flavors of Thailand, and I find myself reminiscing about the food there every time I eat here. I legitimately have been to Thai land a few times. I love coming here! My brother told me about the spot when he used to live in the apartments next-door and ever since he told me, I have been coming here! I love Thai food and I have traveled to Colorado, Georgia, Nevada, and California (multiple different cities in Cali) BUT THIS IS MY FAVORITE THAI SPOT! Every time I ate it somewhere else I would always say I miss my Thai Way! Every time I came back home I would go here first then portillos then Lou’s. Mrs. Jeed Is so so so so nice too every time I come back in she remembers where I’ve been living and checks in on where I am living now. Also checks on my siblings. She is a blessing! Certainly a overhyped Thai restaurant! Fried rice was burnt and panang curry was diluted like Tom Yum Soup, not going to visit again.

We called ahead to place an order, when we asked if the pad Thai was gluten free, the sweet owner did everything to satisfy our needs. She said she would not add soy and instead do salt and you can’t even taste the difference! She was so welcoming and even made us a free Tea to go which was delicious! The tea reminded me of the perfect fall weather drink. If you are looking for a great Thai restaurant, go here! The owners will make sure you are taken care of the entire time you are there!

The place is clean, staff is friendly and I highly recommend the Thai ice tea. But unfortunately I won’t be coming back. The Pad Thai we ordered were lacking in flavor same for the fried rice. The spring rolls were sliced into smaller pieces like pin wheel sandwiches stuffed with lettuce. My family was disappointed and we ended up throwing away most of our $84 takeout order. I hope the owners can turn the place around.

Very good little Thai joint near work. They lunch special is a phenomenal deal for what you get (soup, salad, and entrée). The wonton soup is ah-mazing. if they sold that by the pint I would grab 5 for the whole week. great broth and dumplings. cucumber salad is light and refreshing. I got the Pad Se ew in mild. Still had a very nice kick and delicious gravy. Also plenty of noodles and vegetables considering its lunch special. This is now the new lunch spot!

HANDS DOWN, the best Pad-Woon-Sen I’ve ever had. Chicken was perfect, glass noodle had the perfect texture and not sticky, vegetables were crunchy but cooked well, and they nailed the “a little spice but not too much” request. My Thai Iced Tea was so good it didn’t make it home and was gone within 4min. This is easily a hidden gem of Romeoville. So mad that it’s taken me 2 years to try this place! The women taking my order and at pickup was so sweet and verified the type of noodles twice to be sure I was aware of what I was getting. Love this place and definitely my go to from now on.

I came for lunch and it wasn't busy at all! The owner was so personable and so sweet. She made great conversation and was so grateful for our business. The pad thai was so so good. It had a flavor that was unique to Thaiway. The service was fast and she even gave us coffee to try. I will definitely be coming back for food and to see the owner!

I came here with my partner today and we had a great meal. We got the combo appetizer and a beef pad thai (medium). The spice of the pad thai was perfect and it was one of the better pad thai's i have had. The woman waiting on us was extremely kind and gave us an extra appetizer portion along with a thai coffee at the end of the meal, all for free! This is a great spot to eat authentic thai food. Will return.

I tried Thai way for the first time after being disappointed by the Thai places near me and I’m so glad I did. I placed an order over the phone for a lunch special and when I came in to pick it up I was greeted so warmly. There was a woman there who came to check me out and made me feel like family. So sweet and kind in her mannerisms. While I waited for my order she came out to give me a complimentary Thai iced tea that was amazing. Let me just say the pad see ew was to die for , the won ton soup had so much flavor, and the egg roll was very fresh. Thai way knows how to keep customers coming back. Can’t wait to bring my family here.

*Wonderful for vegetarians!* When Jeed, the chef, found out I am a vegetarian, she was very helpful and careful with my order. After I asked for vegetable Pad Siew with no egg, she asked me about the ingredients in other dishes I ordered to make sure I was OK with them. Jeed is such a sweet person and a talented chef. I try not to be a pain when ordering vegetarian, and I am so grateful when a restaurant actually pays attention. It is uncommon, and even more uncommon for a chef to go out of her way to make sure I am OK with other ingredients. Actually, I don't think that has ever happened before. Phenomenal place that I can't recomend enough. I had the pot stickers and red cury and I can say I will 100% be back. I didn't catch the lady at the front desk's name but I love her so much! She was super nice and one of the other employees gave us a Thai sweet tea that is going to be my new addiction. This is a small buissness that I am excited to continue supporting.

Small restaurant. Everything was cooked fresh to order. I was eating with a very picky eater and then an eater with dietary restrictions. Because it is all made to order, the staff didn’t even hesitate with special requests. Everything arrived correct.

The owner was incredibly kind and welcoming. Quiet atmosphere with delicious food. My husband and I got the Shumai, Tom Yum and steamed fish with ginger sauce and everything were well seasoned and delicious. Make sure to call beforehand so they can prepare your order.

Visiting from California, oh this place was so good. We had PAD PRIK BAI KRAPAO, Viet spring roll, egg roll, Green Curry. The Thai Tea tasted slightly different from the norm and we LOVED it. We have been going here for a couple years now and everything on the menu has been consistently amazing. Every dish I’ve had is made so well and is bursting with flavor, plus the service from the staff is so nice and inviting. Stopped by here for dinner tonight after not being in for years. Pad Thai is amazing and we could use more spicy, so definitely requesting that next time! In the meantime, I'll definitely be coming back for the Thai iced tea and iced coffee (we got offered a free sample and I'm hooked). Been going to this place for a while, moved to Chicago after the airports shut down during covid in 2020 for better career opportunity. I have traveled all over the country and I have a wide reference for a lot of flavors and tastes and various cuisines.
That being said, this place is great although it is small. The woman there that I mostly see, and I think it may be a small family run thai restaurant, is always super nice it feels like I am eating with family coming home to reunion over holiday.
She is so sweet, and the food is even better, great service and a great price, it is also convenient being right next to north and south bound on/off ramps next to the Romeoville village hall.
Everything is good here, I have tried all of the curries and my husband goes for the pad thai/ see ew, and the various appetizers like the egg rolls are perfectly crispy— and everything is delicious all around— that I don’t think you can go wrong with any dish.
I honestly don’t know how more people don’t know about this place.
The place itself is very homey and clean, quiet, and organized.
Even if you don’t live near Romeoville, make sure to drop by some time for some comfort food that smells, tastes, and is served like you’re family, even if yours is far away.

(my attached photo is the takeout we got— a combination me and my husband usually do where we try each other’s dishes, so I got the massamun curry and he the lad nar, with egg roll on top.)

I first tried Thai Way back in 2015 or so. For several years I worked further away, but I'm back in the area now and trying to support this place again. It's local, women/family-owned, the food is fresh, flavorful, and fantastic, with a great variety (I love anything Thai Spicy), and the owners just recently re-opened after being closed for several months due to a car accident.

The lunch special pricing is very reasonable for the amount of food, and the customer service is great. If you are looking for good Thai cousine and also want to support local restaurants, please order here. It's definitely worth it, and I will continue to put my money where my mouth is and keep ordering! Thank you, Thai Way!

Food was good,, they serve you in small plates, they don't give you enough food for the price. I got couple Ice T thai, that was like $12, anyways, 2 plates 3 drinks, was like almost $80 dollars, like I said, food was ok, small portions (compare to other places) kinda ⬆️$

Just came back from there going on a field trip for my world culture class and the food was amazing, I finished everything and it was perfectly spicy and had lots of flavor. Customer service was great and I felt very welcomed there and I recommend to everyone to try, I would definitely come back

Amazing food and service. The staff is so nice and caring. They will accommodate anything you need. The food is delicious and this is definitely my favorite Thai restaurant. I have Celiac Disease and my favorite food is Pad Thai. I asked about their gluten free options and she immediately said she'd make it without soy sauce! I've never been anywhere where they knew soy sauce contained gluten. The chef even came out to talk to me to make sure that she had everything right and could accommodate my dietary restriction. This is definitely somewhere to visit if you're looking for amazing Thai!

Nice little local restaurant. The food is absolutely delicious and staff is very friendly and informative about the menu and all the different options. They definitely follow CDC guidelines and keep everything up to date. You would get more then enough food for the money since they have big portions.

I really enjoyed the food. Lunch specials are good, you get a decent amount of food for the money.

I can't believe I've lived here for three years and haven't tried this place! The staff is very friendly, the food is fantastic! I LOVE that they ask how spicy you want every dish. My family loved it so much that we went back for more just two days after trying it for the first time. We'll definitely be back!

Update: 7 months later! I still love this place. My favorite dish is the pad see oew with duck. The staff is always so sweet and nice, and I feel valued when I come to order. I would give more stars if I could!

First time trying Thai food.
The employees were extremely friendly and explained in detail all of the different dishes they offer.
I ended up selecting the Singapore Noodles. My girlfriend chose Pad Thai.
Absolutely incredible! Both dishes had so much flavour and substance and the ingredients tasted fresh and well prepared.
Portion sizes are large, and despite having a long car ride home stayed HOT until I was able to eat it.

My girlfriend and I plan on making this a routine date night dinner location.

Owner was so sweet and made fresh food very quickly. Tastes great and reasonably priced.

This is the absolute best local Thai food restaurant hands down. I’ve been coming here since they opened and they have never disappointed me. Everything is prepared fresh here and the flavors of every dish is scrumptious! Thaiway in Romeoville is my family’s favorite! They treat you like family.

Absolutely AMAZING place! The owner is so sweet and caring. We have an 8 month old and was waiting for our order in the car, she came out and bright is Thai iced teas and another jasmine tea. Food was spectacular and you can really taste the spice even with a level 2!!! Definitely found my go to Thai restaurant!!!

I'm sure this past year has hurt this business just like so many others. So if you get the chance, please support them! Their food is fresh and delicious and the lady working the front is the sweetest thing. Will definitely be back!

I am a Thai food lover. We tried Thai food many places. This one is the best. Very clean interiors, food is served very hot. Spice level can be specified when you order the food.
Prepare to wait for long wait time when crowded. Looks like limited kitchen staff, which is understandable since this is not a big corporate food chain. But I always felt it is worth the wait.
Just like other reviewer pointed out appetizers are less filling. But as long as they are tasty and priced reasonably personally I wouldn't mind.
I would have rated 6 out of 5 stars!!!

Best Thai around. Been coming here for years and food is always tasty and service is always with a smile. The Thai Iced Tea is awesome to chill down with on a hot summer day. 100% recommended.

When to Thaiway for the fist time for pad Thai. And I was very surprise at how pricy this place was 16.41 with tax for one Pad Thai . And the portion was very small. Never going back.🙁

Food was overpriced and portions were small. They didn't even give you a receipt to let you know how much you paid for each item. Found a menu online but the price was way off. Only good thing is they are open on Monday's when my favorite place is closed.

Did not taste like Thai food.. Thai spicy was like mild at other Thai restaurants. Overpriced. Will not be going back there, ever.

First time trying Thai food was here and it was absolutely amazing. Service was great and the food was even better! Thai spicy is the way to go when ordering and the fried rice is delicious! Will be eating here as much as possible!

Hubby and i ordered pad thai lunch special from thai way today and all i can say is 🤤🤤🤤
The food was nice and hot temperature wise which was awesome because we have ordered from other places before and by the time we get home with the food its lukewarm.

The pad thai was DELICIOUS. we both ordered it with medium heat and it was just right.

The lunch special came with an egg roll and hot and sour soup. Yum!

It was only $16 after tax for the two of us, and we are both now stuffed and satisfied. 😁

I've lived local, as well as a fair few city's abroad. This is literally the best thai food I've ever had stateside. I have wet dreams thinking about this place. Also people in the metro Chicago area are so lucky in there food selection. I'm jealous living in Detroit. # wherrs there carbanara.

I cannot recommend Thaiway enough! The hostess's name is "Jeep" and she provides an amazing customer service experience every time. She is kind, knowledgeable of the menu, and is so prompt. The food is consistently fresh and flavorful. The lunch special is a fantastic deal that includes: spring roll/egg roll, choice of won-ton soup or hot and sour soup, along with a selection of noodle/rice dishes. My two go to dishes are the Pad Thai and Green Curry.

Just picked up my order from here. Pot stickers were above average. Pad Thai shrimp was average and Singapore noodle Thai curry was bad( felt like eating turmeric flour)

Wonderful staff and excellent food. They try very hard to make sure the spices are just tight for you in every dish. Very welcoming and pleasant place. They love seeing the kids come in as well. I've taken my kids since they were very young and they always leave feeling special.

I've been to many a Thai place around the area, and none compare to Thaiway. Thaiway has the best chicken pad thai I've ever had, their Thai iced tea and coffee are fantastic. It's a very quaint restaurant that offers great lunch specials and if you had a long day and are just looking to pick something up on the way home, Thaiway also boasts a generally quick pick up time. The fried Wantons are also a must. If you're experienced in Thai food this place is great, and if you're new to Thai food then look no further.

This was delicious and authentic. So good and fresh. I wish we lived closer.
