I accidentally discovered this restaurant while waiting for my Toyota to be repaired. It doesn't have a exquisite outlook, but it has an authentic taste, just like the delicious food I had in Thailand. If you like Thai food, come here. by the way, employee Minnie had a really good service

Tried their pineapple fried rice, which tasted so well after adding Sriracha and Chili-garlic sauces. Portion size is quite generous. Their Tom Kha soup was excellent. Also tried their Yellow curry which was kind of disappointing; it looked aesthetically pleasing but had way extra turmeric which overpowered the flavor. Service and staff is great. Plenty parking spots all around the restuarant. Well maintained restrooms.

Mix Bowl Cafe is one of my favorite Thai restaurants. I'd consider it more of a sit down restaurant but the atmosphere is more like a diner. I love the Pad-See-Ewe with beef! I come here quite often with my Grandma and she loves the egg rolls!

Been going here for years. Nothing fancy but they make solid Thai food at a reasonable price and they refill your water every 5 seconds.

This place has been a staple for a long time now. The restaurant is always clean and the servers are fast and friendly. Food isn't fancy but for what it is, it's great and the prices are friendly too. If you're looking for some decent Thai food go check em out. Curry, seafood soup, pad Thai, etc, all good and worth giving a taste.

This place just fecking gets it. Service is beautifully efficient. Food comes out super quick and delicious. Atmosphere is comfortable and welcoming, like you are at home with ur extended family. I leave here relaxed, fat, full and happy.

Please don’t go here, Samanluang is a few blocks away, go there. People who work here do not know how to treat their customer. Zero customer service, almost like no education at all. Trust me 100% on this.

First time getting food from this restaurant. I ordered on the phone for pick up the pad see ewe and the garlic pork ribs. Both dishes were absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend trying the spot out. Friendly service very clean and good portion sizes.

One of the best Thai places in Pomona but just because we decided to dine in when we also initially ordered for takeout, the servers got really strict about it as if we weren't going to tip or something just because we initially ordered take out plus decided to dine in. Got so annoyed, never came back after this visit. I mean why act all strict about dining in when we're spending more money by buying more food?? Unnecessary. Just lost our business for good.

The service is fast, friendly, and accurate. They had one person to set up utensils and plates immediately after we sat down.

The waitress was knowledgeable and their communication was very clear. So I felt our ordering experience was great too (very effective and quick).

I think each plate has plenty of food (we were visiting from northern California).

We ate fried tofu, pad se ew, Kanom Pak Kard, and green curry. The food was delicious. We didn't wait for long (within five mins) to receive all the food we ordered on the table.

Their fried tofu is particularly impressive to me since it is crispy outside and soft inside, and it wasn't oily.

Green curry tastes like many other places, but what is special is they are generous about adding good materials there - bamboo, tofu ..
Also it didn't taste heavy, which means they added just enough sauce in my opinions.

It was my first time to have Kanom Pak Kard. It was good and had a lot of bean spout (that I like).

Twice been to this place & both time we loved it, their server was very polite & their food excellent. Plenty of sitting space & everything so tasty.

Late night after theater bites or early hot soup dinner, we always over order so we can have leftovers the next day. A Pomona legend for great Thai food, it's always a treat. The Tom yum gai( Chicken galangal root) soup or Tom yum with seafood soup are my personal favorites. We get an order of rice with it and add that to the soup. Like it spicy, about a 7 on a one to 10 scale. Their curries are all great too and blend a creamy heat with their sweetness.

I ordered egg rolls, chicken fried rice and Pad kee mow with chicken. The egg rolls and fried rice were pretty standard, my issue was with the Pad kee mow, they used ground chicken which was just weird and there was no sauce 🤔

Today I came in and witnessed an interaction with the waitress and an elderly couple and a woman. The customers ordered food and I guess they had given wrong item of food so they let cashier know in a very respectful way I might add. The waitress however did not handle it well and kept coming back to argue with them that that was what they ordered. It was very unprofessional and I do not understand the reason the waitress did not just fix it rather thenwalk back and forth to argue with customers. I was about to butt in because the waitress was being rude and belittling to customer. I use to love this place have been coming here for years but today they lost more than a few customers. They should be ashamed to have ruined the meal for them. Completely appalled.

The pad thai was all mixed together, and Soggy. It was like a mush. In The mixed fish plate the Calamari/squid and baby muscles were not chewable, and had to be discarded. The shrimp and white fish were good. The Broccoli dish was good. Though it did seem to have a lot of stems.

I order the Cha-Po hoping it was delicious as it read on the menu. The dish supposed to have duck, pork belly, and barbecue pork.
The duck portion was measured as the size of my whole thumb. The dish is basically bbq pork with steam rice. Also the rice was hotter than the meats. I guess their is some good and bad plates here at Mix Bowl.

When we got there waiters did not pay attention to us, we had to call for service and ask for a menu, poor customer service

My husband and I happen to come across the restaurant last night. The place looked really pleasant and clean. Everything was good until we went to the counter to pick up our to go order. We got 2 items that totaled almost $50..when my husband got our food from the window there were cups of sauce near the condiments , my husband picked up 2 of the cups of sauce and started walking towards me to leave when one of the men that worked there walked up and snatched them out of my husbands hand, and said these aren't complimentary! He was so rude for no reason. He treated my husband as if he was stealing something from the restaurant. So our first and definitely last experience here was horrible. The food was okay but not worth that kind of treatment. There are better ways to communicate with people, especially your customers that are coming in the spend money in your restaurant.

Friendly service got my food in a timely manner. They even helped with a few menu suggestions. Ultimately, I chose pineapple fried rice, which was delicious. This place is open late which was helpful because I got off of work late and was hungry.

We ordered the shrimp fried rice (not pictured), beef pad see ew, and garlic spare ribs. All three were tasty. We enjoy eating at mix bowl. They have a variety of Thai dishes to choose from.

Decent considering it's in Pomona. Big servings and not as expensive as other spots. Seafood soup and noodles are great. Wish their soup had little more ginger.

I order a seafood soup and the mussels were not clean and had a nasty smell. I am trying to talk to the manager but they just refuse to answer my call. Before this restaurant charges a 15,% tip if you like it or not. Bad service. I am not sure if they like Hispanic people. Looks like they don't. Or some of the workers act like that. Not coming back ever.

Meh food was okay. Soup came out cold, when asked to heat it up the waiter had a very weird attitude. This place was nothing to come back too, very odd waiter and bad tasting water. Another waiter had a cough, i notice he was coughing over people's dishes and water glasses. Won't return.

I've been here several times now, and it's going downhill for me. I remember this place being amazing when greeted at the door while placing orders, bringing them out. This time around, I don't know if I'd go back. Entering there's a funky smell coming from the kitchen area. Noodles were super overcooked and mushy. Lychee water had almost no flavor of lychee. As if they only put 5 lychee in a cup of water. Place is falling off the map for me. Wouldn't go back.

I was highly disappointed with my meal. The Thai salad looked so unappetizing that I just threw it away, but before I did, I thought I would eat the sliced cucumber it came with and some dressing, but the dressing was disgusting too. My husband ordered the chicken pad thai and took two bites and could not continue eating it because the noodles were drenched in a sweet sauce, and the texture was grainy. We just wasted $30.

The best thing about this place is the service. They are fast!! And they try their best even on busy days. Except for new faces. The employees mostly are automatic, water refill, they ask how youre doing, some have smiley face and enthusiastic energy. The foods are great, right amount portion. Coconut shrimp soup is A+++++. What I didn’t like is that they were selling all the hot sauce! they didn’t offer any sauce to go unless it was paid for. Everything was $1.50 for two go sauce.. Then when I asked them for spicy sauce, they said nothing we have will go good with your food!! So they mean to tell me they don’t have hot sauce for their own meals?? I told them I don’t mind paying for sauce. I just want something good they said we have nothing. Definitely not good for business….

(11/19/2023) Very friendly service. Prices are good and portions are decent. Hainanese Chicken can be better to perfection. Chicken rice is good. Everything here has "Wok Chi" and means freshly cooked. Sizzling seafood is very good and Chow Fan is decent as well. Probably one of my choices for Thai food.

My favorite Thai restaurant. Food is always delicious. Service is always fast. I've tried nearly everything on their menu at least once. I steer clear of raw or salted eggs. But they've got fantastic noodle and rice dishes, and wonderful soups. Don't forget to try their smoothies with boba. I recommend the honeydew. The decor isn't fancy, very casual, but you'll leave full and happy.
