Very tender and juicy and flavorful. I like when good meat can just shine in its taste without any spices clashing with it too much and those noodles really hit the mark in my opinion. My husband had the mild curry and it was very, very good, if you only order one thing, order the mild curry. It was sweet and a bit spicy. Unfortunately they don’t deliver to Chicago so if you have any recommendations for Thai restaurants in Chicago please let me know!

A little pricey but it’s a large portion so you can eat it over two days. Definitely glad we stopped in.

This has been a go to place for years but the service for my recent visit was slooow. I was there for literally an hour and a half due to the speed of service alone and I was the only dine in customer there towards the last two thirds of my visit.

Food was good, but Tom Yum soup was disappointing (tasted like from a can without any fresh lemongrass), portion size was good and fairly prized.

Don’t waste your money the food is not great and service is bad the lady at the counter is rude and seems to be in a hurry for no reason

I place a delivery order, the system said that will not take longer than an hour for delivery, after an hour I called to ask the status of my order, I was told that driver was on his way. Over an hour and half passed an food was not delivery. I called again twice, they did not pick the call and hung up on me.
This is the worst delivery experience that I have had.

Huge fan. As Americanized Thai places go this is tops. When I order spicy, I get it. I enjoy their take on salmon nicoise, with a beautiful dressing. The curries are very good. I would like to know if there is a hidden menu where unamericanized Thai exists.

I’ve been coming here for years. First started coming here as a little girl, and now I come in with my fiancé or family. Atmosphere is very nice, staff are extremely friendly, and food is amazing. Very consistently on point. Personally I love their chicken fried rice, chicken pad Thai, and their egg rolls. I also love the red curry sauce, so delicious, and the crab fried rice. Oh and I can’t forget their chicken satay! One of our favorites! There’s so many good dishes though, you can’t go wrong. Go here for amazing service, and amazing food! I can tell you for sure it is so worth it. I’ve been coming here for almost twenty years, 17 I think. Definitely my go to place to get food that feels like it’s cooked with love. Also, the decorations and paintings are definitely beautiful, and so many kids love looking at them. Overall, a phenomenal restaurant, staff, and food.

A perk of a pedestrian lifestyle is a spontaneous pop in for some Mama Thai. To go was the garlic chicken noodle but I dined in for their Wonton soup and it never disappoints. Both delicious

Excellent Thai food. Friendly and caring services. The place is nicely decorated with a cozy authenic Thai atmosphere. However, the food is a bit too sweet for a native Thai like myself. But the taste is reasonably close enough to being authentic. Better than many Thai restaurants that I have been to in the Chicago area. Highly recommended.

Pretty decent thai food. All the thai flavors you would expect of you're in to thai food. Be prepared for unusual flavors if you have never had thai food before. I reccomend the banan wonton, it was very yummy.

UPDATE: Its been over a year since writing my review of Mama Thai, so I thought an update would be good. I just had the Crab Rangoon/ Golden Crab again, and I'm amazed at how good it is. The wontons are crispy, not burnt or soggy, there's an over abundance of crab filling, and the sauce they have is the best I've had. It is still as delicious as it was the first time I ate it. Oh the the rest of the food is damn good as.

I've been eating here for almost 10 years. It was the first Thai restaurant I visited when we moved to the area, and still one of my 2 favorites near me.

The food is always delicious, whether eating in or takeout. Their Crab Rangoon is my family's favorite of all time. It's the right amount of crispy to filling and the dipping sauce I could just drink straight! I go for the pad Thai sometimes, and the Curry's the rest of the time. I had the curry fried rice a couple of times and it was excellent. All in all a great place for dinner or lunch.

Red curry was amazing and waitress was very pleasant.

Today I went with my husband to dinner at this place, and we really liked it, the attention, the well-specified menu with an image. The staff was very nice and made sure we had a good dinner. This place is highly recommended.

Sewer problem! Yikes, and if you chance it, definitely take it to go.

This is our favorite Thai food in Oak Park. We’ve tried several places and this one is by far the best and also has the best price point overall. We’ve never eaten in, but the restaurant is always fairly busy. Online ordering is easy and the food is ready fast. Our favorites are the Panang curry and Kure mao, but everything we’ve tried is good.

Not the best Thai in the Berwyn/ Oak Park area, but good. The Thai tea was sweeter than I've had elsewhere, but still good. The crispy egg rolls were good, my kids loved them... the fried tofu was excellent... I do think Bhodi Thai in Berwyn is better... but the service was great. I did not like how they charged gratuity. 😐 overall decent. Sadly they did not have mango sticky rice.

Had the red curry. I love spicy, but I couldn't stop drinking water after every sip. Definitely authentic and they don't hold back and spices. Flavorful, rich and delicious. Can't wait to try their other menu items.

Great Thai restaurant! I tried the mango sticky rice and it tasted very similar to the sticky rice I had in Bangkok. Authentic Thai decor on the walls. Friendly staff. Fast service. Inside seating available, and they offer a discount for cash payments. Cozy place, on the ground level with no stairs. Yummy stuff.

Tried the Chicken curry dinner and Thai tea for the first time at this restaurant. It was delish! Will be ordering again. ☺☺☺ satisfied customer.

Igot a cucumber salad that tasted like they just picked them an one of the best Chicken Pad Thais ever...Absolutely worth driving of 290 or 90...

Pad Thai was not good.

Mama Thai has pretty good food; however, it’s very much over priced for the amount of food you receive. When I order noodles in place of rice, they always charge me for the upgrade. Now, not only do they charge for the upgrade from white rice to white noodles, Mama Thai gives you less noodles. It’s just ridiculous. When I spoke with the restaurant about the increase in price and decrease in food; they lied directly to my face. They said, we’ve always packaged this amount of noodles. It was so untrue, that the restaurant took the container and added noodles to it. It’s not the money, it’s the nickel and diming behavior to regular patrons; and lieing directly to my face. Im very disappointed with mama Thai’s.

I had chicken panang curry. The menu states all currys are spicy, I didn't find it to be spicy at all but the flavors were delicious and I really enjoyed my meal. The golden crab Rangoon was very tasty as well with a nice crispy crunch to the wontons. My husband had sweet and sour chicken which was crispy and tasty. He liked it. He also had mango sorbet and really enjoyed that. My Thai iced coffee was sooo good. Would definitely return and recommend to friends. Would've given 5 stars for a bit of spice to my curry and if hubby more than liked his food. Great service!

Love this neighborhood staple. The food is consistently delicious…I mean always. I recommend the shrimp in a blanket and spring rolls to start. Then the garlic pepper chicken, pad Thai, or Penang curry. These are my favorites but really you can’t go wrong. I tried the bbq pork noodles and they were delicious. Also their sweet & sour sauce is addictive. (Don’t drink it. You will feel like you want to but don’t. Just use the sauce on your food. Lol)

This is one of my favorite places to get thai food from. I love their tom kha coconut soup and I LOVE THEIR PAD THAI with either chicken or shrimp. And I love the shrimp in the blanket.

I have liked Mama Thai since I first went there in 2014. I only frequent two or three x's a year, but the food is always enjoyable and the atmosphere relaxed. And they have American coffee - albeit it is instant

Sorry to say not the place it once was. Twice now in recent past the food was not good. I have had better pad thai from those instant microwave brands. Try someplace else if ordering to go. These high reviews are from years ago.

I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai noodles to go, and I was honestly disappointed in the consistency and texture of the noodles. The noodles were thicker than advertised and very dry. If you like that kind of Pad Thai, this is great. However based on the pictures, I was expecting a smaller noodle size with sauce as the pictures displayed.

Was giving peanut soup with boiled shrimp for panang curry which was very bland and watery! Asked for veggies and was given almost raw veggies (bell peppers and onions to be exact) that was just yikes! Will not stop here again! Better off trying the Thai restaurant on Halsted and Belmont! Better food and service! Service was not great at all!!!

I've tried to order from this place three separate times through UberEats in the past month. The first two times they just cancelled my order after 20 minutes. They never told me why it was cancelled, so I figured they were just out of what I ordered and let it be.

The third time my order went through (today) and was confirmed to be on the way. Two hours later: Nothing. No food, no call, no text. I called the restaurant, and they're closed now. Seriously..?

If you have a problem delivering to my area, then at least call to let me know or lower the delivery radius through the app. Or just use Uber's couriers instead of your own. This is just unprofessional.

Mama Thai is the best place to grab food in all of Oak Park. They have a large menu, and as someone who has explored every corner of it I can say that everything they serve is delicious. The item I reccomend the most is to try any of their curry, my personal favorite is the red curry. Seriously tho everything here is amazing and ontop of good food, the people who work there are very kind people. Everytime I go to Mama Thai they treat me very well and always have amazing food, they have never let me down. Mama Thai is so good that on some days I'll eat there in the morning and I'll eat there at night.

Yum Woon Sen & Baby Egg Rolls. So. Good. Reliably delicious. I don't love everything on their menu, and there is sometimes an inconsistency on how delicious a dish is, depending on what day of the week you order? But I've never been disappointed with the Yum Woon Sen and baby egg rolls. I do wish the egg rolls weren't $7....it seems a bit high, but I"m not the one having to roll all those teeny tiny bites of goodness, so who am I to say. We order from here semi-regularly, and will continue to do so.

Honestly was very disappointed. For having 4.5 stars, was expecting decent food. Ended up with small amount of duck breast thrown on top of bland noodles, with some raw lettuce stuffed in on the side. You get what you pay for with cheap thai.

So my daughter had the pad Thai for years from here it was her favorite then one day she got terrible food poisoning. She was in ICU for 6 days with sepsis. Took her a year to recover. Ya that’s my review.

Been a while since we’ve ordered (well, sometimes I just get an order of the baby eggrolls as a delicious treat...) from here and it was DELICIOUS. Fast, reasonably priced and we loved every dish. The Tom Kha was particularly delicious tonight. A hint of heat and the perfect balance of creamy, salty, lime-y, sweet. We’ll order again soon!

Resturant prices are a bit high for the amount of food they give. I ordered shrimp and veggie tempura and only recieved 4 shrimps for a 10 dollar item. Not worth it and quite over priced. The garlic chicken noodles container was not even full. It was packed with lettuce leaves to make it look like it was full but it was only filled half way. Way overpriced and was cheated on full plates. Very disappointed. Oak Park recommendations are by far the worst and will not consider them anymore.

EXCELLENT service!! I 100% messed up my online order and they couldn't have been more accommodating with the late change and cancellation. They went above and beyond with the change. Looking forward to ordering from here again.
