WELLCOME
OPEN MON - SAT 11:00-09:00 pm
CLOSED SUNDAY
The taste of the orange chicken was very like nothing. It was orange but it was nasty as hell. With slices of oranges on the crap. The fish cakes were super small and tasted like rubber. Then i had a large house rice Special as you can never go wrong with it. So I thought. It was so small oh my God what I thought was a large was not even enough for my 4 yr old. And the Type of pie, a salad picture on the web is false advertisement for the size that they give. Excuse the after people picked over the food pictures but those are the bushes that’s what it looks like this is horrible for $45 I would not recommend going to this place if you want to get the most for your money that is not this place you might as well go home and cook
Nice place to enjoy Thai and Japanese cuisine. My husband wanted curry fried rice and this was the only closest place that was open on Sunday. The lady at the restaurant was very helpful and accommodated our vegetarian requests. Food tasted great and spice level was just right. The portion size was enough for two meals. My only concern was the Pad Thai, it didn’t have any Tofu (which I was expecting). Overall great experience. Thank you.
I called in an order and went to pick it up. The person that answered the phone was very nice and even more friendly in person The food was ready to go when I got there about the time they said it would be. The prawn rolls were not quite what I hoped for. The drunken noodle combo was fantastic! I'm going to have a hard time trying something different after having that. This looks like a little tucked away place BUT the flavors are huge. Be sure to stop in!
You must try the TOM YUM SOUP and the ramen bowls. I come down from Wis because the soups are full of authentic Thai flavor and the owners are very kind, accommodating, and always welcoming. The spring rolls are really good too but that TOM YUM SOUP, its a chief's kiss!!!! Great customer service. And they have real Thai chilli paste and oil!
Well I finally found up in the North Lake county area an underrated Thai Japanese restaurant in Waukegan. I have to say wow because I came from another Thai restaurant experience in Gurnee Illinois called Royal Thai and it's ironic that that restaurant look more formal outside by the strip mall in this place is right next to the naval exchange in the ambience outside doesn't look like it's fancy but yet the food and the interior is unsuspectedly great and authentic. Originally I was supposed to come here with a friend but she had gotten sick with the common cold so I ended up making this a bucket list for myself to try it for dinner instead of a lunch. Started with the Thai iced tea and it was tastefully delicious and sweet just like how they do it in authenticity. When I went to Royal Thai resturant in Gurnee it did not even taste right when they made Thai iced tea last year. I was amazed also at the owner who has great personality and service as she was accommodating next to how fast they delivered the fish cakes that I ordered as an appetizer with the cucumber salad and that tasted authentically great. The server and owner also delivered at the same time the Green curry and chicken and it tasted very authentic as compared to Royal Thai. Next to the right amount of Thai Jasmine steam rice that was cooked just right. Not too dry in rice cooker which means it also could be old white rice but it was NOT. All in all I was impressed from this diamond hidden in shady neighborhood in Waukegan/ North Chicago area. Do come here during dinner as well as for lunch but I heard it gets busy because of the US Navy and US Marine base over here as the customers are coming here.
No military or veterans discount, although they are mostly who patronize this establishment.

Delicious food with great prices
Friendly service nice owner and very tasty food
Truly a hidden gem! Had the Shoyu Ramen and the California roll and just amazing! The flavors were just delicious. Just well done!
Best thai food in town!!
Fantastic wanton soup
My food missed the mark…
Ordered Tom kha soup with shrimp and cucumber salad. Aric bed home to discover that the dressing for salad was missing so I called and requested a refund. I had no desire to WAIT IN BILL NEXT TIME for a redo. No thanks! So when I started eating nut my soup, something my just wasn’t right. It taste NOTHING LIKE the Tom kha I’ve eaten before. I couldn’t continue eating it. I will not force it down since I already feel sick. So much for eating a light meal. Sort of ticked off.
Very friendly and food was great. I had the green curry with chicken. The drive thru pickup is a plus.
Excellent service and even better food. And super close to the navy base so great quick spot to take a navy grad
Great food at a very reasonable price served in a friendly environment. The place is kind of unassuming so you might actually pass it. You shouldn’t though… the food is delicious and served quickly.
Amazing food and serving size
This place was no joke the best thai food I have ever had. We went twice in two days. The thai iced coffee, sushi, pad thai, sesame seed chicken, and chicken gyoza were amazing. Crab Rangoons were the best we had ever eaten. Every employee was courteous and super friendly!
The food was great. My only complaint is that the beef salad I ordered didn't have enough lettuce or cucumbers and was mostly meat.
This place is so delicious! The woman who answered the phone and helped me with my order was SO friendly and kind, and the panang and yellow curry were perfectly spiced and traditional.
Good Pad Thai
I get food here all the time
Many vegetarian options as well 🫶🏻
Was an incredible experience for my taste . I REALLY recommend you guys to go and try it. They even have a drive thru. And the last but not the least the lady the work inside is the best.
Our first time and couldn’t be more impressed. We had a delicious dinner of the Mongolian Beef, the BBQ Korean Beef, egg drop soup and the crispy egg rolls. The owner is delightful and our meals came out fairly fast. They also have a drive up window - call ahead and picking up is super easy.
It’s so close to Lake Bluff- I’m super excited to have found our place!!!
Can’t wait to try more options. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed to try this gem!
The foods was fresh and prepared really well. The ladies were friendly and funny. I recommend them highly.
We ordered the pineapple fried rice with chicken, BBQ pork with rice, egg rolls and Thai tea’s. The food was okay just was very bland and way less flavor than what we expected. The teas were great though! Convenient location and quick friendly service.
The dining room was like a refrigerator. The people were very nice. We were asked to yell our order across the room to the register. We had 2 people eating and took 1 meal to go and it cost us $70. This was a one and done for me.
We haven’t been in the restaurant yet, but of the couple of times we’ve ordered food through GrubHub- the food has been some of our favorite in the area. It’s one of the few times we’ve really felt like care was put into making the food. We will keep ordering!
i havent been able to go back in a while, but i grew up just down the street from this place and its still by Far my favorite restaurant, let alone thai restaurant. ive never had another place as good as this. their pad see ew has always been perfect, and they use gai lan/chinese broccoli instead of usual broccoli so it has a GREAT bitter and fresh cut from the richness of the noodles. i dream of the day im able to go back
Looks to be under new ownership but I suspect the Indian lady lied to me telling me the owner was off. New menu, Indian decor…not sure why she felt the need to lie other than me taking my business elsewhere.
They have been increasing price of the food almost every 3 months and decreasing the quantity of the food. The quality of the food is nice.
Waited 25 minutes and spent 12 bucks for the worst ramen I’ve ever had never coming back
I ordered the prawn spring rolls, the pineapple chicken curry, orange chicken and pad see-ew and everything was SOOOO tasty! The service was phenomenal as well :) my server was extremely friendly and welcoming, and I am so appreciative of her. Definitely recommend this place!
Nice place to enjoy Thai and Japanese cuisine. My husband wanted curry fried rice and this was the only closest place that was open on Sunday. Great food selection and a fair price. The staff was extremely friendly. Would recommend this to anyone looking for some Tai/Japanese food.
Small place but food is tasty.
The service is better than the food- very friendly staff!
I recently ordered the Japanese chicken teriyaki from this restaurant, and unfortunately, I was left disappointed with my experience. The dish was quite mediocre, lacking the flavors and quality that I was expecting.
Another major letdown was that the mango for the sticky rice was missing entirely. This was a key component that I was really looking forward to, and its absence greatly affected the overall taste of the dish. It's frustrating when a dish doesn't meet the expectations set by its description or menu.
However, I will give it another try due to the kind, friendly service we received.
A good place to relax. EXCELLENT food.
Great place for Thai food near Navy recruit training command, I had the drunken noodles tasty and authentic! Nice clean establishment, friendly girl
Working the counter and cooks Maybe owners were whipping up the dishes, nice place for a lunch not set up large party “counter service”
Food is not tasty at all. Will not eat there again.
Horrible service. I waited waited waited. All I was asked is pickup or order. She was busy with phone orders and she never had time to talj to me despite some one from kitchen asked her to attend me..
Worst service...I left the premise with oredering anything...
Could really taste the love in the dishes everything was perfect. Crab rangoons were the best I've ever had, we got Mongolian beef and broccoli and beef, mixed veggie fried rice and a (med) SPICY!!! Chicken fried rice. Had left overs and made a delicious soup I'm crying while eating because I don't handle spice well. Definitely picked a Gem in the area and will be back!!
Amazing food, with wonderful staff! We picked up their Gyoza/pot stickers, BBQ pork egg noodles soup, Japanese udon noodle soup, and sesame chicken with broccoli and rice. It was all wonderful, you can tell it is made with love!!
Lots of options including Thai, Japanese, and a few other types of Asian food with about right tranditional flavors and very reasonable prices. Food preparation is fast. The owner is very nice and friendly. The dine-in spaces are decent, clean and neat.
So, this is a cozy little spot if you are eating in and it is very clean. I always get pad Thai if it’s on a restaurants menu, but the cook said it wasn’t ready. So, I went with the spicy basil fried rice, bbq steamed buns, crab Rangoon and a Thai iced tea. I am so glad I did! That steamed bun was like Texas bbq meets pillowy soft buns. If you have a significant other who doesn’t like to try new food but likes bbq, start then with this. My husband had the pineapple fried rice and the sushi and he said it was very good. I was craving Thai, and I was a little uncertain about this place but it’s highly recommended. Make sure you get the Thai iced tea. It’s almost like a milk shake meets a sweet tea. They were also very reasonably priced and we had plenty of left overs. Yum!
#happytummy
This is a hidden gem. The food tasted great. The pricing was good. The service was amazing. The lady at the front was welcoming and attentive. There were also a wide variety of food on the menu, with many vegetarian options. The only downfall is the seating inside is a bit cramped.
No 😞😞😞 me imaginaba algo mejor
The food, the service, and the place is great. I love it...
This little place is so good! My husband and I stopped in after visiting the hospital cuz we were starving and this place did NOT disappoint! It's hard finding a good curry and there's was so flavorful. Can't wait to come back to try some more. They do shut down for a late lunch for themselves so be mindful when you are hungry.
I love the pad thai and lad nar. Excellent service. Extremely friendly and kind owners and employees

I've been coming here since it opened. The food is great and always consistent! The owner is also very friendly. The only negative is some of the appetizer options are obviously frozen and microwaved, which is a little disappointing, but understandable. With that being said, I feel like the prices should reflect that on those items.
Owner is so nice and the food is fantastic. Could not survive school without this place giving me something to look forward to.
Great food and great service at all times and I love the fact that you feel at home because she definitely remembers your face🔥🔥🔥
A little shop but very friendly owner and yummy pad thai! Definitely be back again.
Heaven on Earth!!!!!!
BEST… MISO… RAMEN…. EVER!!! 5 Stars all the way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They have drive through, foods are amazing but small portions and little pricey, but worth the quality in my opinion
Great food. Fresh ingredients. Well prepared. Friendly. Wouldn't call atmosphere best for dine-in.
You shouldn’t miss their curry fried rice and drunken noodles. Thai basil is very good too. You can choose the spicy level either 5 or 8. 8 is super super Spicy but still tasty. You can always ask Hot sauce on side so you can choose your own spice level. I did dine in but not perfectly setup for family dine in. I also noticed lot of take out’s when I was dining in.
"i'd buy this over beer, any day"
-the local neighborhood Marines
Came here not knowing what this place would be, and man oh man that was the bomb!!! I had the samurai Roll and satay chicken, it was beyond delicious. It’s a shame I don’t live here, because I want to come back!
Absolutely delicious!
Pretty tasty and reasonably priced. Order from their direct website for deals!
They messed up my order I do not recommend
This is where Stephanie wanted to eat after she graduated from bootcamp. The food was soo good and the lady that served us was amazing!!! I wish this was near where I live !! 🧡
What sorcery is this?!?!?!? I didn't even want to include my attempts at photography for the meal I just had, cause they 100% do NOT do it justice.
Google maps led me here on a whim as I was looking for something different after a late night at work. 1st time customer, the menu was a bit overwhelming as it has quite the variety of Asian cuisine.
I let the foodie slot machine land on Chicken Pad Thai, Thai Spring Roll, and the fried Calamari. I give each of these 5stars by themselves. Great taste, great flavor, and the accompanied sauces complimented the dishes perfectly!
Can't wait to go back and try something else and explore their menu more!
Best Thai and Japanese food in North Chicago. Service is always great. Food is reasonably priced and very delicious.
Golden Noodle Soup, BBQ Pork Fried rice, Curry fried rice, Katsu Don, Ramen Noodle soup... are my favorite.
Been a customer here for years. The owner even knows me by name. I went in there tonight and she immediately started yelling and asking why I didn't place an order online. Then I proceeded to tell her that I just wanted a small side. She refused to sell it to me because "they need it for the customers". This was extremely unprofessional. I will never spend another red cent at this restaurant. They definitely lost my business for good. It's your customers that keep your small business in business! Treat them better!
Awful! Packaged Ramen is better than what they serve here...and it made me sick for a day. The bathroom was disgusting, so we should have known, but it was a later night pickup and not much was open. Do not waste your money here!!!
The lady is so kind and the food was absolutely amazing and fresh.
Friendly. Great food. Thank you.
Food was very amazing and super fresh!!! Excellent customer service! Best Thai food that I’ve had in this area. Would highly recommend
sweetest people, amazing food, great prices … you cannot go wrong eating from here
Great food, great service
The owner is extremely nice and gives a warm welcome to everyone. The food is consistently good. I am never disappointed when I order there.
I love the food from here! We always get the Ramen to go and they put the noodles and broth in separate containers, so then the noodles don't get all squishy. They also put the tempura in a separate container if you get the tempura Ramen. My husband aays that the ramen from here js the closest hes had to the ramen he ate when he was stationed in Japan. The tempura is pretty good, but the broccoli gets so greasy because of the florets, which is not very appetizing. Sometimes, the sweet potato tempura is hard. Even with that, I would still recommend it! We have also gotten chicken tonkatsu, which is delicious! You could just drink the sauce; it's that good! They also have a drive thru to pick up your order, so you don't even have to get out of your car. This place is easy to pass by and not even notice, but you should refinitely check it out!
This place is very close to the Recruiting Training Center for the Navy seals and we were here celebrating the graduation of a family member, if you want to eat from paper plates this is the place, if you want the owner of the restaurant to yell and scream at you because the food was spicier than you expected, this is the place, she was extremely rude and yelling in the back of the kitchen because the food was to spicey. We did ask for medium spice and as we have had many Thai food, this was by far so spicey that you couldn’t even enjoy it. I would of allowed them to remake but the attitude of the owner made me not want anything else from this restaurant . We also found hair in our other plate on top of the other issue. As she became super rude and I personally don’t want anyone making my food with that attitude. I wouldn’t say the food was nasty as it was very good but the attitude from the owner was not what I would want to spend my money on. It’s unfortunate that she has to act in this manor if there is a issue with the food because the food is actually really good. I won’t say service is horrible because The young lady at the front was super nice and friendly. I feel so bad she has to work for someone who runs there business in that manor. Over all I would never eat in this location again. I would say if you want to try there food order it and run. And hope that you don’t run into a issue with your food because the owner will yell at you and then yell at her staff!
My family regularly orders take out from this restaurant. They have a great variety of Asian dishes. Everything I've tried was delicious. My faves so far are the BBQ pork buns and yellow curry.
Everything was okay, but not great. A little disappointing. Will not order again
This place is amazing! They have such a good menu and I always try something new and I’m never disappointed. Good portions and fair price. A hidden gem for sure!
This is one of those hidden little GEMS! I ordered the drunken noodles w/ chicken and maaan simply delicious. Perfect amount of spicy and flavor! The lady that got my order ready was very polite and nice. Highly recommend this place!
I really loved the atmosphere. Had to show COVID card to dine in. I let her choose my food and she did an excellent job. Amazing charming personality.
We tried this place for the first time last night and OH MY GOSH!!! The food was fantastic. We had the curry fried rice and the drunken noodles. WOW. It was spicy, incredibly flavorful, and like nothing we've had before at the other Thai restaurants in Gurnee, Libertyville, and Waukegan. This is our new favorite place to go for Thai food.
This place has really good food! The woman working there was very nice as well, quick service!
Absolutely a hole in the wall! I liked my food (fried calamari and steamed dumplings) but nothing mind blowing. I'll be going back to try new dishes.
This place is awesome. Quaint, small. But, very clean. Appealing decor all that 😍 jazz. BUT THEN THERE'S THE FOOD! It's authentic, it's spiced not salty, it's the most traditionally authentic in the area..
Awesome food: quantity, quality definately worth it
Good food, rude owner. Yells at you if you order on Doordash, but half of her menu is missing from their personal online order website. Yelled at me that they give 10% for first order on their website. Not true. The site they use gives a discount for your first order if you've never used the website before, but they are the same website every restaurant in the area uses.
Stick to making food, don't tell me how to live.
My food came back cold and the noodles had no seasoning. White people recipe.
The ramen it's very good! Like Naruto!!!
Why does it take 30 extra wait when I ordered 15 min prior to picking it up?
Food is always delicious. Diminutive owner is always energetic and inviting.
Fresh and Authentic Thai Food !!
Comida muy rica y un servicio atento cordial muy amable 👌 😉
Good food.
Worth every penny I have. They really listen to what you want to order and exactly give you what you want and more, very generous with their food. Love it.
Best place for fried rice and the sushi is really good too! I always come here for lunch. The owner is very sweet and kind as are the cooks.
This is one of the best Thai places I have been to in awhile. Quality is top notch and the people are very kind. I suggest the pad Thai, spicy basil, drunken noodle. You also get a good amount of food for the price.
The food was delicious, I got the Tom yum soup, and the flavor was so delicious, it hit the spot! I wanted to order something else but i was already full. The service was quick and good. Will come back to try one of their noodle or curry dishes!
New owners. Nice staff!. I always get the same dish, green curry with prawns and white rice. It was very good. Only missed a few key ingredients but otherwise was very good. I will go back again!
Not bad. Pretty good. I expected it being average but it proves me wrong. Way better the lots of Asian food in IL. And it's not expensive. Cheap and affordable, but also savory for the tongue. Would recommend to people who like Asian style food.
Great food. Service has gone down a bit with the addition of new people.
The food was exquisite and finished the meal on a perfect note. Had the wine pairing with it. It was quite nice.
Terrible quality. Disappointing
Great food, for great price.
I got the teriyaki chicken it was like $10.75 not impressed little rice with one breast chicken and a coleslaw salad all in one container. Definitely not going back not worth the price
Food is great, affordable price, and nice customer service.
I will never go back the food was tasteless it was supposed to be spicey and it was sweet don't waste your time or money. The egg rolls didn't even have any flavor
Man this place is amazing!! Everything I’ve had here is fantastic!
Really good pad Thai dish and the sweetest lady over the phone. Clean place and welcoming! I was shocked I never stopped before I was just used to consider it the purple building next to the gas station, finally I come to realize it's a Thai food spot! Definitely recommending this place
I asked for vegetable spring rolls which As long as I’ve been in America they have been fried. But this lady gave me some weird wrap that I didn’t even ask for. She made me change my order on the phone and then when I called back argued with me and wouldn’t fix the issue she caused. Bad customer service. Would not recommend.
10 stars! I love them so much. Totally affordable and the BEST Thai in the area.
Pad Thai is perfect! I’ve tried other restaurants and they’re too oily or greasy. And Penang curry is delicious, only downside is there isn’t much veggies in the curry.
The staffs are so slow and rude . But the place was good.
Food was really tasty and the service was great! The person helping at the drive though was really kind and helpful and I would definitely recommend the food here!
A hidden gem and a great hole in the wall!
Very nice and helpful owner, she gave us some vegetarian alternatives. Everything was delicious and there was plenty of each plate, so be prepared. Would definitely order again.
Excellent food
The best spicy chicken basil!!!
Food is soon good. And staff is really friendly. Would recommend to anyone asking
Simple place. Good flavors, quick, clean and inexpensive.
Excellent food....some of the best I have had. It is a hidden gem but well worth the time to find it
Very good food!!!
The best kept secret in North Chicago! Their golden noodle soup and drunken noodles are amazing. It's not much to look at and you will drive past it the first time you try to go there but its worth the trip. Will definitely miss it when we move.
I enjoyed this place (small, hole in the wall, and fast drive thru!) delicious foods and the quantity amount and value has been great. I've been there 3 times now. Although the last time i went in, last week, the portion was less and when i had asked for spicy food, it just had a bunch of red pepper in it, vs. flavor. I'll still give a good review and hope that last week was just a glitch.
I ordered the eggplant & tofu entree and spring rolls. Everything was delicious. I will try this place again.
Delicious Thai dishes exactly as I like it. And the service is with a Thai smile. I love this place and recommend it to everybody.
Food is good.
I happened to be on doordash and stumbled upon this place. The delivery service was quick and my food was nice and fresh. I ordered the pad thai and the basil rice. Both were pretty delicious, the pad thai had a different taste that I wasn't use to but for what it was it tasted good. The basil rice had so much flavor in it and was a good amount of spicy. The prices were fair and they give you a lot of food. I will go back and try eating in to see if it can get 5 stars with service included.
Good place for a fast bite. Small, finer environment. I had the Tom Kha soup. Fresh and hot. Nothing extraordinary or memorable about it, nonetheless, I was well-pleased.
Very friendly. Delicious food. The do deliver in the evening as well and can be found on DoorDash.
I love authentic Asian food. This place has food similar to a lot of Chinese restraunts and they do that well. Why I give it a 2 star is that their Japanese menu is anything but Japanese. Ramen isn't ramen, it's basic as hell and seems like beef broth with instant ramen noodles. Some other things where misadvertised but they where still good, it's just what they are trying to go for they cannot do and should probably stick to Thai Chinese cuisine
It was pure FIRE🔥🔥🔥🔥
Not bad. Very pricey.
We went after my grandson's graduation from boot camp. The food was amazing. We went back the next day.
Fast delivery! Very Friendly Service!!! Authentic Food. My Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) renders calculation of excelent quality.
Delicious
Outstanding. I won't be going anywhere else
Tokyo at Siam is a great place to eat at with your friends, coworkers, or by yourself. Theres plenty of choices to choose from Thai, Viet, or Japanse food. The food is very simple and tastes good, some people might even say it's too sweet. The owner is super friendly and tries to attend to everyone. The dumpling soup is to die for! The penang curry, tom yum, and pad thai are really good! The food are as not as authentic but their own take of it so dont he disappointed. Price is really good too while some entree are quite pricey for what they should be.
Always very tasty food. Service could use some work...but food is awesome
Simple Thai/Japanese food in a simple and fuss free setting, very popular with naval personnel from the nearby base and the veterans medical facility. Reasonably priced weekday lunch specials keep them coming for quick Thai/Japanese fix. Great and accommodating staff.
Saw that this place had good reviews so decided to go. We tried the fried dumplings they were ok. Tried the money bags and they tasted old almost like the pork was on its last days plus they are really small. My daughter got the chicken and broccoli which had a strange flavor and the spicy salmon roll had a strong fish smell. My husband ordered the Ramen pork it was ok. I ordered the drunken noodles which were ok but too spicy for me. The red flag should have been for us that they didn't have any customers on a Saturday at 6pm.
Ordered sushi. Portions too small for the price.
Brown avacado, the worst sushi I've ever had. Don't eat here.
Food was great! Good to know there's asian restaurant near our hotel, staffs were very friendly and accomodating☺
Incredibly delicious food spanning several Asian cuisines. Yellow curry and pad thai are my faves as well as chix satay and any appetizers. Fast and friendly service and reasonably priced.
