Chill eatery with industrial accents serving classic & updated Thai fare & cocktails.
The food was average and the restaurant inviting. Several people recommended coming here for great food; however, I found the Pad Thai and Buddha rolls lacking flavor and somewhat oily. Service was fast, but the restaurant was empty and they were closing early. The atmosphere was very inviting. But, that does not overcome food quality. I probably will not be back as a first choice.
Lemongrass Cafe is a fantastic spot with solid food, attentive staff, and a welcoming atmosphere. The dishes are flavorful and well-prepared, offering a nice variety of options, whether you’re craving something spicy or a bit more mild. The staff is friendly and always ready to make suggestions or accommodate special requests. The ambiance is relaxed and cozy, making it a great place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. While it’s slightly on the pricey side, the quality of the food and experience make it worth the visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!
What a great find! We were in Illinois for the morning and before we left, we found LemonGrass Cafe for lunch. We all love Thai food and decided to try it out. The food was delicious! We ate the chicken potstickers too quickly, so no picture, but highly recommend. We shared the Pad Thai with Tofu and my friends shared the Pad Woon Sen with chicken. All super amazing and I wish this place was closer so I could go again. The Vietnamese coffee was also the best cup of coffee I had today (roadtrip)
From the greeting by the staff to the farewell, "Thank you so much," the place was very friendly and welcoming. We visited at the end of the lunch service, as the busy weekday working people headed back to work. We were impressed with the servers efficiency and incredible attention to cleanliness after every customer left. The food was very tasty. The green curry was advertised as spicy, and it definitely was. My wife had the Pad Thai which was good for someone who didn't want intensely spiced food. They serve many local craft beers. For those that are in a hurry this is a great stop, and if you have time to savor the flavors and the brews you will not be disappointed.

Extremely authentic food here. Literally everything is good. Literally.
So I am biased because Thai food is my all time favorite. I could eat it breakfast, lunch, dinner, and for snacks in-between. LemonGrass Cafe is amazing. The food is delicious, fragrant, savory, and filling. I have tried several dishes from LemonGrass but my favorite is Pad Keo Mao, also known as Drunken Noodles, which has some heat to it but it brings out the flavors. The potstickers are always a great starter. Highly recommend LemonGrass Cafe to be enjoyed at anytime.
By far our favorite restaurant in the QC. Not just Thai food, but overall.
We ordered food so I don't know anything about the atmosphere. Really quick delivery and good sushi and edamame

Great place to take our guest artist!
Friendly and attentive service team. Food is phenomenal. Portions are large. Worth every cent
So RUDE! We arrived at 11:30 a.m. for lunch on a Saturday. There was only one other table there - with two women - and the rest of the place was empty. We were greeted and told to "sit anywhere," so we chose a table for four since we planned to order the hotpot soup and two entrees, which takes up a lot of space. After we were seated, the same waitress who told us to "sit anywhere" came over and told us to get up and sit at a two-top! At an empty restaurant! Another waitress came out with two waters and place settings. She put them down at a table for two across the restaurant, pointed to it and said, "you sit THERE." I gestured toward the two women sitting at the four-top and the waitress said, "they were here early." Um, okaaayyy. But they didn't even have their food yet. We got up and walked out. I had another recent experience a few months ago when I tipped lower than usual due to poor service and the waitress looked at it, rolled her eyes and said something in another language and walked off. That was a little shocking. I'll never go back. Done. Soi 2 in Rock Island is so much better.
So good every time never fails you can’t go wrong I get crispy larb(spicy) Bangkok rice(not spicy just delicious) and a lavender gin take all my money
Do not order online. It takes over an hour and they prioritize in -person seating over carryout. I sat and watched people eat while I waited an hour for an online order at the bar. Very unpleasant experience, will not be returning.
always delicious
Excellent food!
Service is the worse I have experienced. The food is not authentic Thai Food .! I am new to the area and tried this place 3x . Each time it has always been something . They are very rude and money hungry . I tried the green curry and it was so bad I couldn’t stomach it and asked to try something else , they said they do not take food back and will charge for it . Okay fine. I ask for a to go cup for my Thai Tea and they said it will be 50cent.I am not giving this rude establishment any more of my money .
I'm giving 1 star because I was denied the opportunity to dine there. I arrived at 1:30 and there were several tables of people eating at that time. But I was told "no dine-in, take out only". Since I was traveling I could not do take out. They should post 1:30 as the closing time instead of 2 if they are going to refuse service at 1:30.
Our absolute favorite restaurant in Moline. The food and drinks are amazing every time!
Great food
Food was great, they were extremely business and looked understaffed. But food was served fast after waiting a while to order.
By far the best Thai food restaurant I have ever had! Love everything I’ve ever ordered off the menu. Try it!
Everything is always ridiculously good
I asked for a hat yai chicken that was chicken wings with lettuce 🥹 they considered that mixed greens😅 and the pickles never arrived 🥲
Favorite place for General Cho chicken and pineapple fried rice. Always busy and loud. Server offered General Cho even though it was no longer on the menu. 😁

Lemongrass soup was delicious and enough for 3 to share. Green curry was spicy and very good. Companions had gai grob and zen garden.
Quick service and food was very hot.
Good place to find Thai cuisine in Moline
This place was fantastic ! It's a pretty short menu but it's balanced perfectly with quality, friendliness and SPEED !
Wonderful food, very attentive staff.
It's worth the try I like it.
This has to be the highlight of Moline. I was in town 4 days, and my meal from Lemongrass is most memorable. Full disclosure, I picked my meal up and ate on my hotels outdoor sitting area. But when I picked up my meal, there wasn’t a seat available in the cafe. And yet, everything seemed very organized and efficient.
For me personally , the best part…
They completely cater to allergy & dietary restrictions. Even when ordering online. Super simple.
Had I know this greatness on my first day in Moline, this would have been a daily meal.
I had the Moo Grob Gra Pow. 🤤
7 out of 5 stars.
So, I have been here 3 times and the food never disappoints! The food is fresh, colorful, and cooked to perfection 👌. And you cannot beat the music!!! I was dancing in my chair and eating gleefully. I didn't want to leave!!!
Visited this restaurant from out of town. Coconut soup was pretty spectacular. Service was pretty impolite.
Very good Thai restaurant!
Amazing food and really good servers
The service this establishment has is nothing I have seen before! Very fast service, my drink never went empty, and the server seemed ecstatic to help us and make sure we were satisfied! Amazing food by the way!
Good foods but they have a strange policy to not allow 2 people to sit at a 4-people table when they were all empty during lunch time.
So after two years of eating better Thai food from other places I decided to give this place another try. First experience here i asked for my meal Thai spicy. All they did was dump a bunch of pepper flakes on top of my food which made every bite crunchy. Should have kept the absence going. Service and communication was dismal at best. Had our menus nice and neat together at the edge of the table signaling we were ready to order. A good amount of time went by and mind you the place was close to empty at 5 15 pm, I made enough eye contact to signal someone over. We ordered our drinks and meal at the same time and I was asked if I wanted a fried egg on mine. I said yes because that is typically how that meal comes. Food came out quickly but without the egg so I mentioned it and she argued that I said no I didn't want the egg. I was backed up by my lovely girlfriend that I Indeed asked for the egg. So they go retrieve an overcooked rubber egg in a bowl and say here. Portions are so small and prices are too high for such. I got the gra pow and my girlfriend got some curry. The curry looked like a can of egg noodles with those Chinese looking dry crunchy noodles on top. What a joke. Will never return and advise you seek other Thai places that are kind and care about service and food. I didn't take a picture of mine but here's a look at a Chinese version of curry.
Excellent food
Amazing food and wonderful staff! One of the best Asian restaurants in the QC!
Dishes were exceptional. Service was decent for being very busy on a Friday night.
I have been coming here for over a year with my significant other and I absolutely love it. The staff are very kind, the vibe of the restaurant is unique and interesting, and the food is fantastic. Every time we order it seems like the food gets out really fast, too. It is pricier than a regular cheap date night, but that's because it's amazing. Definitely worth trying.
It would be great if they keep some halal stuff or stick vegetarian without any meat touch. There are so many Muslims and vegan people living there. Hope they will add some items to get this market segment.
Changed their menu completely. The dishes I liked are now gone.
Really tasty! Would recommend!
Great little cafe. Wonderful Vegan options. Great service.
I was in Moline for the holidays and drove past this location while at the chocolate place across the street. We ordered later that night for takeout. Very clean restaurant, and it was very busy. We ordered the coconut broth soup (Tom Kha Gia) with chicken and it was out of this world good. The amount of vegetables and lemongrass was excellent and overall "heat" was perfect. We also ordered the chicken pad thai (not my normal as I love to be adventurous but others were sharing) and the seasoning combined with the vegetables again were fantastic. Would highly recommend this to both new Thai food lovers as those who are far more experienced, will definitely return on my next visit to Moline.
Nice Thai restaurant, food is good service is fast, the portion sizes have gone down compared to our previous visits.
Amazing flavour! It was soooo good! I want more!
My favorite restaurant in the QC by far. Delicious and favorable food with amazing service. The restaurant always appears clean and service is quick and excellent. Definitely recommend if you want great food and service.
It is a nice Vietnam based restaurant which I enjoyed
Cute Asian cafe in downtown. The Pad Thai (I got the spicy one) was amazing and can never go wrong with edamame.
Fantastic food & excellent service!! Try the Crab Cheese Won Tons, the Zen Garden (with shrimp), the Bangkok Fried Rice (with shrimp), the Pineapple Fried Rice (with shrimp), or the Thai Dirty Rice! We'll be back again soon!!
This place was amazing! Instantly greeted in, ladies with water and menus within 20 seconds of sitting. Thai iced tea and vegetable/tofu curry was amazing! Very lightly flavored for my friends first curry but I do like mine more robust. Very fresh wonderful place to go
Love it! My favorite is the pineapple walnut shrimp rice.
Had lunch today. Started out with the cream cheese crab won tons. They were served hot with a flavorful sauce. The main course was the green curry which consisted on chicken and vegetable with jasmine rice. It was delicious and I would recommend. Service throughout the meal was attentive. I highly recommend Lemongrass Cafe.
This place is a joke. Try to order over the phone, it tells you to order on line. Go online and the order cannot be completed on line. Not to mention the fried rice that tastes greasy. This business is totally incompetent. Maybe say "dine in only" Really?
Great place, The Larb selection is different from what I’m used to in other Thai places but is still yummy. The kimchi soup is very very good. I would say there spicy level is mild compared to what I’m used to so if you prefer mild then you will be ok, if you prefer Thai hot, then ask for more chili. Great place , I will gladly return when I’m the area.
Some of the best food in QC, always fresh and cooked to perfection. Fantastic, friendly staff, and a great location. I love it. Highly recommend.
This was our first time stopping at this little Pan Asian restaurant. We came for dinner. The atmosphere was very lively, the place was packed, almost all tables were taken but we were seated very quickly. The tables were very close together, which was necessary but you feel like you are hearing each other’s conversations, so lack a bit of privacy.
We ordered coconut shrimp and pineapple chicken. Both were very good, I wish the shrimp was little bit less fired, but otherwise it was very good. My husband eate the entire pineapple chicken, for some reason the picture didn’t save but it looked really fresh and was delicious.
The music was more like dance but it was not too loud as the speakers were very high at the ceiling so you could stil hear each other very well. The prices were very reasonable. Would we come again? Definitely! A really neat decorations and vibe inside
Wonderful staff!
I really love the rice dishes here. The grilled meats are also very nice.
Food was delicious but we were there on a Saturday night around 5:00. Thank God we got there early. We were sitting in the middle in a two-top table and it is a bit crowded. I would recommend going during the week. I had the green curry and it was absolutely delicious. The pot stickers were delicious too.
Wonderful food & great service as always! Everyone is always so friendly and the food is excellent.
So I’m not usually one to write food reviews, because I’m not that important. However, as a Thai-American, I feel as though it’s my duty to educate the masses on Lemongrass.
This place is legitimate. My girlfriend and I went, on a whim, this past weekend and were absolutely blown away by every aspect of this place. The atmosphere: top notch. The staff: incredibly attentive. The food: better than any place I had growing up in Chicago. We got the crunchy larb, crab Rangoon, and the Lemongrass bomb and all were out of this world, with the bomb being the highlight. Seriously, if you value your time, money, and taste buds, spend your money here.
Some of the most delicious food I've had in quite a while! I ordered the Gai Grob, and asked for spicy. It was an expert balance of heat and flavor. Service was fast and friendly. The place was clean, nicely decorated, and had notably comfortable chairs. Price was quite reasonable. I will be back.
Favorite place for lunch or dinner! The gra pow is delicious as well as the lemongrass soup. If you plan on lunch they close at 2 so don't plan on coming in any later than 1 or they will make you do a to go order.
always good! Difficult to pick a dish with the great variety!!!
The gra pow fried rice is a favorite. I love the pad woon sen, poor man noodles, pad keemow and the budha rolls.
from 8/26: not 100% authentic. most of the dishes are “americanized?“ like the recipes are adjusted. the fried rice was overly sweet. and the other dish in the background (forgot the name). the kimchi jigae was bland like watered-down. overrated & underwhelming
service was okay. wish they at least told us about the gratuity tip/fee beforehand.
I came here with my husband for a fun date day and I gotta say this place is really awesome. The service was 10/10, everyone works super hard and everyone is super nice. The food is really really good. 10/10. We forgot to tell them what spice level we wanted, but we were so pleased with what we got we couldn't be happier. My husband got his fairly spicy which he loved and my food was good bit milder than his, which was perfect for me. This place is really authentic, delicious and healthy. I loved the ambiance, the chill vibe and I loved their lemon mural wall. Try the Pad Kee Mao with a side of rice and thai tea. We will definitely return here for date days.
Dinner was great as usual! Service great as well! One of our go to places in Moline for sure. Not afraid to use spices, that’s for sure!
This is my 2nd favorite place in Davenport. The food is always good and my drink is never empty :] Really cozy cute spot
The spicy pork belly was outstanding! It gets pretty spicy the more you eat, but it's so good! I had the fried chicken with 2 dipping sauces. Yummy!! The kimchii was great! Not spicy at all. Hubby had vegetables with pork belly and Jasmin rice. But don't forget to order the mango mousse for dessert!!!! If you like mangos you will love this! Service was fast and always with a smile.
Decent thai food. Could be better.
Good enough that we stop here on our adventures between Wyoming and Michigan.
Amazing food and great service. Some of the best crab Rangoon I've had - the orange sauce is definitely the best I've had. The pineapple fried rice was delicious as well. I will have a hard time ordering something different next time because it was that good! On the pricey side if you get drinks and an appetizer but the quality and taste is well worth it!
Food was absolutely amazing. I am coming back for sure! Served fresh, hot, and layers of flavor!
Stopped accepting dine in at 8 pm - advertised for 9 pm
The best Thai/Asian food in the Quad Cities. Every visit here is pleasant, the staff are so nice, they want to make you feel welcome. The food is very tasty and fresh, except for the Hat Yai fried chicken, it is just 3 whole chicken wings with some vegetables, that's it! Nothing special about it and this is an $18 dish. Drinks are good and prices overall are fine. The restaurant itself is very nicely decorated, clean and the crowd is nice too.
The food at this place is always excellent and they give huge portions. The old school pad Thai and Thai dirty rice are excellent dishes. My wife and I make a stop here every time we are in the Quad Cities.
You can't order online. You can't call the resturant. What's happening?
1st time here. Visited after a suggestion. Food was delicious. Service was prompt and helpful. The place is on the smaller size, hopefully you can get in quickly. We came from out of town but are planning a return trip
Best Thai food in the Quad Cities! Seating is somewhat limited, but the food is delicious. Old School Pad Thai adds a nice level of spice over the traditional Pad Thai.
SHOCKING BUT TRUE!! Last night me and my wife went out for a quite dinner. When we were ready to pay the tab the manager/server comes with a printed bill showing how much I had to tip. I asked her why is she telling that and that I was tipping her 20% anyway. She literally meant to show either I don't understand math or sarcastically mocking at me for a poor tip I had made during my last visit. The server even remembered that I had tipped only $2 last time so she was making sure that does not happen. That took me by surprise which felt like she came with a vengeance this time and almost held us accountable to pay a good tip. Being a regular customer we have seen a decline in customer service since change in staff. Is this where Lemon Grass is heading - bullying customers? Is this the customer service you expect anywhere? In fact, Soy-2 had excellent service even though they were short staffed.
THE PRVIOUS VISIT - Same thing, me and my wife went out for dinner about almost 2 months back. We ordered our regular 2 dishes. She mistakenly took 3 dishes and as she came back with the 3rd dish we told her that we never ordered this. She argued back that this was the order and rudely left it on our table. We ended up paying for it and felt she deserved nothing more than $2 as a tip. Am a generous tipper (20%) but only if I fell welcomed and the service is genuinely good.
With that in mind this time she came at us showing how much she will add regardless of our wish as a tip. She even said she will herself add the tip. I was mad at this treatment. Maybe this was even bordering racism. I asked her why she is showing me this %ages and I didn't need math lessons. I said will pay what I want. She was adamant that I pay a good tip to which we said we will pay you NOTHING this time. Me and my wife felt insulted and walked away swearing to never return.
Waitress put ordered in wrong coconut shrimp and we ordered coconut soup with shrimp and she argued with us and was rude . She made us so uncomfortable we left and went to flavor Thai and had a great experience an absolutely wonderful food We got coconut soup, ordered pineapple rice, and we ordered a wide noodle dish and mango with purple rice. Absolutely fabulous the wait staff was great. We will never ever go back to lemongrass Café again we meeting there before, and the food was fine. But there is no reason for us to go out and spend money and be operated by some waitress that got our order on.
Great food with on point staff.
Great!
I've been here several times over the years. The Lemon Grass soup is perfect. Chicken or Shrimp Pad Thai are great. Gra Pow Shrimp is delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Great food, great customer service
Never been here before the food was great loved it would go back.
UPDATE (May 15,2023): The server told us to sit on a small table because she said that it will be busy after 5pm. There was no one eating there at that time, around 4:30pm, but she insisted that we use a small table. We usually use a normal-sized one like for 4 persons since we usually order a lot of stuff and we need space for those orders but because of what she did, we didn’t even order anything extra. The food was good, as usual and this is why we ate here in the first place, but the experience was ruined. At our time eating there, no one else ate. We didn’t give a tip because of this and I was willing to let this go until the server went out when we got out of the restaurant and told me I didn’t give a tip. I said I didn’t and she said I’m supposed to give a tip, which I replied that I’m not required to. I was gonna explain to her about the table but I didn’t wanna argue with a yelling woman outside the restaurant so I didn’t bother. We’ve been eating here for more than 5 yrs. What is happening? Are these people being trained? What a disappointment. Hopefully this changes soon. We won’t be eating here for a while.
*****
We’ve never been disappointed one bit in this place. Food is awesome, ambiance is great, and customer service is the best! Whatever we order here tastes good. It's a bit pricey but the food is really worth it. This is a place that you should visit whenever you go to the Quad Cities. And that pork street food in one of my photos is soooo good (that secret sauce is seriously delicious), I could eat that with a bowl of rice! 🤩
UPDATE: Even during the pandemic, this restaurant is still one of the best. I love those dividers! Everything is still 5 stars! Please put Ped Duck back in the menu! 🙏🏻
Oh and we tried the Lemongrass soup, holy cow, you can feel the spices going down your throat in a good way. Seriously, we’ve never been disappointed in anything we order from this place! 😂👍
I wish I could give them 6 stars. Honestly this place gets a Michelin star in my heart. Thank you for your service to all of us- you make the world a better place
Food and atmosphere was fantastic! Staff was attentive and lovely. Will definitely be back!
Very good. Large portions. Many gluten free options
The Chicken Pad Thai is perfection. Get it with a side of rice for a carb fest!
Had the graw po and spring rolls. It was very good and the mild still packed some heat! Watch out.
Haven’t ate here in about 6-7 years. Went to order their garlic fried rice and that was no longer on the menu as it has changed. Still ordered something similar. Had to take some things off and add things here. Food was extremely bland. No flavor at all!! They used to give you the soup of the day with your order as well. They stopped doing that. But $40 for two meal prep containers of unseasoned food is beyond me. Never again. Rice was over cooked too.
Best pineapple rice!
Consistently delicious 🤤
I live near Chicago and the city has an amazing food landscape. This place is just as good as the other Thai restaurants I've been to in and around the city.
Great and friendly service, portions are perfect for the prices, and everything was tasty. I want to make up a reason to visit Lemongrass café from Chicago. Keep up the excellent work.
The Khao Soi is amazing
The food was amazing! The wait staff were prompt, but the music was way too loud and overpowering. You would have thought you went to a sports bar with new age disco playing. The drum beat of the music was irritating. The wait staff did turn it down somewhat upon request but not near far enough.
Really nice place! My husband and I ordered the Pot Stickers and Pad Thai. It was the best we have had in this area so far. I had their Thai tea, which was very good. They did charge .50 for a TOGO cup for the rest of my tea, which seemed a bit much, but it was delicious, so I paid to enjoy it slowly on my way home. Overall, it was a wonderful place, and we look forward to going back!
Always love the food here. However, the garlic pepper fried rice is no longer on the menu! It was the first thing I ever had at lemongrass and was so disappointed when it was gone from the menu on my second visit. Please bring it back!
Great environment, staff are super attentive, food is the very best in quad cities
Nice place & good food. Quick to a fault. Thus, it's not the place for a business meeting/ lunch. Too loud for a good conversation, but delicious for a fast lunch. 😋 Pork Belly Pad Thai was astonishing. Crispy pork, yummy peanuts, tender noodles. Nice looking list of beverages and libations. Menu is a QR code to a PDF of a menu. Sorry.
A wonderful Thai restaurant and hidden gem. The food is Great and the service attentive. The only downside is they're closed on Sunday.
The food is always wonderful, and the people working there are some of the nicest people I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. Newest favorite is the LemonGrass bomb. 👍
We absolutely love lemongrass and have been going here for years! I love the blackberry mojito. We also love pad kee mao, kow gra pow, and Thai dirty rice. So many great dishes and the best Thai food we have ever had.
Our favorite Thai food in the cities.
We cross the bridge for this place.
We have been to Thailand and it's hard to match taste to expirience but this place comes the closest we have ever had
We absolutely love this place. Order frequently! We just placed a $140 To-go order with a $40 tip might I add. Was quoted 45 minutes and hour and a half later, still here waiting.. after watching 6 tables come in after me get their food and leave.
Wonton wraps are my favorite!
We had our family Christmas dinner tonight, on New Years Eve. We were promptly seated at the long table by the front window. Our dinner drinks, appetizers, and meal were fantastic. Will definitely be back again. Everything ordered was hot and delicious. Service was outstanding!
Great atmosphere and great food.
Awesome food. You must try it.
Very good Thai restaurant. The staff were super friendly, and helped me pick a dish that was fantastic. I'd highly recommend this place!
Spent over $70 and wanted to charge us an extra 50 cents for a cup of ice water to go....ridiculous. As much as we enjoy the food and frequent this establish, we will not be returning. From one QC business to another...terrible customer service.
Food and service are really amazing. Do visit with your gang to have fun.
