Was looking forward to food from here (11/20/24) after reading the reviews. Disappointed. Pad Thai was bland; very little seasoning/spice; almost no sauce (and I requested extra); no crushed peanuts. It almost seemed like the dish was sent out before it was finished.
Tom Kha soup was a bit bland too.
Ordered takeout and was told it would arrive in 50 minutes but it arrived in 20. A good thing, I guess. But I would've preferred to wait longer for a better tasting meal

Our different meals were really tasty. We each ordered something different and we all agreed that the taste was better than we expected. What a great dinner

Today is Sunday, September 1, 2024 at 4:45 pm. My husband and I came to Evanston looking for a good Thai restaurant and found Pinto Thai. We walked in and asked the person behind the counter for a menu and she just handed it to me with no acknowledgement... just as when we first walked in... no acknowledgement. I took the menu and placed it on the table and we walked out. I decided to go back in the restaurant to let her know that I didn't feel welcomed and that's the reason why we didn't stay. Her response was "I'm the only person here and have a lot to do" and she walked away. Didn't apologize or asked how she can help us. There was (1) person in the restaurant...ONE! I thought to myself, how can you be too busy to welcome someone who walked in your restaurant ready to spend money??? You are serving (1) person that is alreadysittingand eating!! I will never step foot in your restaurant again!! My husband and I went to Yasotorn Thai Cuisine on Dempster Street and had a fabulous dinner on their rooftop! Your loss!!!

Tasty, basic Thai food. I eat here often and recommend it if you’re just wanting good food for dinner.

I ordered (take out) for the first time based on the reviews but the food was completely underwhelming. The quality(esp old veggies, mushy rice) was very poor so much so that I was even worried I might get a food poisoning. I live close but unfortunately won't be coming back.

Small place with some of the best Thai food we've ever had! We're from out of town but love to stop here for lunch when we're in the area. We love the steamed dumplings and fresh spring rolls. I'm a fan of the noodle dishes and my husband likes the fried rice. Today I had the crazy noodles with tofu and husband had the Pinto fried rice with beef. This dish contains bits of pineapple and raisins which adds an interesting taste to the fried rice. Plenty of food for leftovers to take home. I also got a side of their peanut sauce to take home with me because it's soo good!

I lived in Thailand and this food was even better! Haha. I would give it 10 stars if I could 🥹 Great job team.

Pinto is my favorite Thai restaurant in Evanston. They have a nice selection, food tastes great and is usually ready in 10-15 min. Their staff is very friendly too. I usually order their veggie rolls and various noodle dishes like Pad Thai etc.

They were not alot of shrimp on my shrimp tampers and the Tom yum soup was not sour.and she was asking to us to tip her like 3 times . When we got there we had to wait and they were all in the back . Would not recommend .

I tasted this for the first time today. I decided to order because someone at work ordered it. When I tell you the chicken was harder than a brick. I have never tasted chicken so hard. I am very disappointed with my order. Worst food ever! Don't order from here it isn't fresh.

My coworkers and I order delivery from here regularly. A year ago, I would've given this place 5 stars. Lately, they have been dropping the ball on spice, and that is disappointing for a group of customers who enjoy spiciness on everything. I ordered a spicy pad see eiw, but unlike previous orders, this one had zero spice. I noticed that a cup of chili paste had been included in our bag, presumably to add the spice myself, but it definitely didn't taste the same. Tonight, we ordered 3 chicken soups (all spicy) but they had zero spicy levels. There's definitely something wrong because last time, we ordered medium spice, and it still had a kick to it. I really hope this restaurant fixes this consistency problem because I would hate to have to find a new go-to Thai place for me and my coworkers.

Their noodle dishes are good. I love the pad thai. But the first time I ordered sesame chicken, the meat was so hard but I thought maybe it’s just a fluke coz their food is usually good.
Then weeks later, I ordered the sesame chicken again, forgetting my first taste of it. And it was the same as the first time I tried it, tough as nails. It did not even taste fresh.
Lesson learned this time. I will never order that dish from them again.

One of my favorite restaurants in Evanston and a go-to takeout choice in our household. Literally everything I’ve ordered is delicious, the prices are very reasonable for the amount you’re given & their delivery staff is incredibly kind and friendly (one time, they even took in one of my packages on the front steps on their way to the door for delivery). Can’t recommend enough!

First time ordering, we will definitely be back. The order was ready on time (and hot), the people were friendly, and most importantly the food was delicious!

Probably the best shrimp curry I’ve ever eaten! Large shrimp cooked perfectly in a delicious curry. Just fantastic! Also, I really like how the owner Ann, is super involved in the community and is just a genuinely really good person. That seems to be harder and harder to find these days. Great food/great people! What else do you need? Eat there. You will not be disappointed!

Great Thai food! Meats are always well prepared, real spiciness based on the , nothing is served as an oily mess like you get at other places. They also do a great job on a wide range of appetizers

Not a fan of their sesame chicken, too much breading and not enough meat. However, their teriyaki fried salmon and chicken fried rice was pretty good.

I have been going here for about 10 years and I love this place. When I go out for Thai food I always get pad see eiw, so I’ve had many different kinds of pad see eiw from many different restaurants, but Pinto, by far, has the best pad see eiw I’ve ever eaten. It has a lot of flavor and sauce so the dish is not dry. I’ve also noticed that after Covid, many places that used to have tasty pad see eiw now has bland pad see eiw. I went here the other day for pickup for the first time after Covid, and it was more delicious than I remember. Not only was the food delicious, I had a fast and easy pick up experience. Would 100% recommend.
