Went here yesterday and had excellent tasting vegetable fried rice and Tom Kha Kai. Easily on par with the top Thai in the region. Very nice when the chefs add wonderful ingredients that add a special ‘only here’ flavor . Sometimes as is the case here thats all it takes.

WOW is the word that best describes my dining experience here. The food is divine. Definitely an authentic gym. I purchased the drunken noodle spicy with veggies only and it did not disappoint. It was just the right amount of spice. The noodles are perfection. Everything about this meal feels healing. My beautiful meal came out extremely hot and took less than 10 minutes from the time I ordered! I also ordered the pot stickers which are so amazing. This is what true authentic food tastes like. Exceptional customer service. Kind and inviting. I'm so thankful I found this gem. I wish I could give 10 stars. Thank you guys for the amazing food experience!! ❤

Des Plaines! How is this restaurant not packed!? Warmly greeted and I felt very welcomed. The food was delicious. My wife said it may be the best Pad Thai she’s ever had!
The price was reasonable and it was a large portion.

placed an order on door dash... i when I arrived at my door in less than 20 minutes I immediately knew that something bad had happened.. opened my brocoli Chicken Pra ma and realized that I was just seved microwaved food at a premium price, it's literally so bland and off putting that I actually want my money back ! * zero stars *
Feels like food is gonna make me sick, called to complain and they don't even answer their phone.. looks like I'll be paying a visit to the cook country health dept Tommorw. Good thing that their office is also located in des plaines

I've been ordering from this place for the last few months and am yet to be disappointed. The food is consistently delicious! The Tom Kha soup and Yellow Curry are so far my favorite! It's definitely my favorite takeout place in the area! Couldn't recommend enough!

I gave this place a chance but it was very disappointing. Terrible food. Mongolian beef tasted like it was from a few days ago. Curry noodles not mixed. Definitely not recommended.

Very disappinted with the pad thai had very little flavor and kind of gummy. Crab rangoons however were good. Will try again but another dish.

I ordered delivery from GrubHub and was served the gummiest, most tasteless food possible. Do not order the Pad Thai. It is an utterly disgraceful meal and an absolute affront to how delicious Pad Thai can be. The noodles were overcooked and tasted like salt and nothing else. I could not finish my food because I was so disgusted by it.

Wonderful food I suggest the Gulf of Thai and the spring rolls. It is a carry-out only place although there are two or three stools there

Almost perfect five stars. Pad Thai Chicken would be better with chopped peanuts, and cilantro, and wedges of lime. The Mongolian Beef was good, no grizzled beef. The sautéed Pot Stickers were perfect.

We've only done takeout since they have limited seating but Thai Square is a little hole-in-the-wall with excellent fresh Thai cuisine - LOVE their curries! Awesome friendly staff too!

The food here is delicious. My whole family loves it and so do my friends. Great service as always, great food. Please support them if you can. We've loved Thai Square since they were in their original location by the theater. Now, next to Wildburger on Oakton, you can still dine-in at the high top counter at the window or a small two-person table just inside the door. Otherwise, take it to go! They're always friendly and welcoming. Panang noodle, Mongolian beef and pad Thai are our favorites.

I bought shrimp fried rice paid extra for shrimp. The person was very dishonest of practice. Ask me if I needed extra shrimp and I said yes and then she added tip on her own . With out my consent.
I only got 4 shrimp in my order. Their try to make money in extra shrimp and the added without my consent.
She should wait and ask me , I would have given the tip.
Please don’t go to this kind of place at all. I would not recommend at all.

This place is great. The lunch special is a really good deal and the food is consistently good. The spicy basil with chicken is fantastic. Highly recommend.

Noodles were oily - not flavorful at all and the fried rice was totally devoid of flavor as well. I had to drink something to make sure I didn't have COVID affecting my tasting abilities.

I was very disappointed in my meal last night. I ordered pad woon sen. It was tasteless. The noodles were overcooked and generally it had a boiled taste rather than stir fried. Wont be ordering from there again.

Ordered over 70.00, worth of food. The food was very bland. Thai is one of my top fav cuisines. So I was highly disappointed with the lack of quality and flavorless food. More so , after my food was delivered I received a call stating the cook substituted my vegetable entree w/ Shrimp pad Thai. I think it’s absurd to contact me after delivery to tell me what you substituted my order with as opposed to using your same fingers and contacting me before to ask me if I want a substitute or better yet , to inform me the dish wasn’t available. NEVER AGAIN! The food is bland and the service is not worth it. Go to a different Thai place … it’s A BIG NO for me!

First off the Thai iced coffee tastes like ashtray coffee - the worst I’ve had. The food was fine, but it’s basically a takeout only spot and for the price of the food you can go to a pretty nice Thai sit down restaurant instead of this place.

This was the worst food I've ever had! I wouldn't even call it Thai, the entree i ordered had no seasoning or flavor. The chicken was dried out & tasted like rubber. I attempted to doctor it up at home by adding my own seasoning, but ended up throwing it away. Such a disappointment & waste of money!!! Never again!!!!!!

Consistently the best pineapple vegetable fried rice I've ever had. Lots of veggies. Not too greasy. Good portions.

Awful food very salty, tasteless ,raw vegetables barely cooked . I ordered beef with broccoli and I got few thin like paper beef triangles and chicken soup was pure salt water. So disappointed knowing there’s so much competitions out there, they don’t seem to put much effort.

Dear restaurant owners, please stop making “Americanized”, tasteless food. Thai food is supposed to be vibrant with flavor and color. What you are making is so far removed from real Thai that it is not recognizable. I think if you sources better ingredients and raised your prices, you would attract a very different clientele. Tom Yum soup - gross, flavorless water, noodles - mess, veggie rolls - no flavor.
Why does Des Plaines lack restaurant owners and chefs who are afraid to take risks? Disappointment.

Always delicious Thai food!

Excellent Thai dishes. Great noodles and my favorite is the sweet and sour chicken. They don't bread the chicken so it's much healthier. Their cucumber salad with their homemade Thai dressing is super on a hot summer night. Really nice people too.

Like the chicken satay. Just wish the container was full of peanut sauce.

Ordered "specialties" off of the menu. They were fantastic! Did forget the rice (honest mistake) but the food was so good we weren't even mad!

If you have a large party, suggest you order ahead as they have very limited seating. Their Thai dishes are very tasty, portions are spot on and priced comparably to other lunch specials. I really enjoyed the mom-an-pop atmosphere as it reminded me of similar places I dined when I was in Thailand. Will definitely revisit soon.

Excellent Chicken Satay!

This is a nice place to go for lunch. Food in good and affordable. Only problem is you may not get place to sit as it is a bit small. Hopefully they upgrade to a bigger place soon. But you can always carry out. Also, they do have a lunch place menu.

Food was beyond bland(like they forgot to use spices)! Teriyaki chicken had no sauce on it. Tasted like boiled chicken. Mongolian Beef was tough and flavorless. We will never go there again. it wasn't good enough to give it 1 star should have minus.

I never did visit their original location but they opened up this tiny spot near my house and we tried it on a rainy Sunday night — ordered carry out by phone and didn’t have high hopes but honestly this is stellar carry-out Thai food!

Everything was cooked to specification, the food was hot but not too mushy (carry-out will never be as crisp as dine-in) and the price was excellent for the portion size.
