Vietnamese noodle house dishing up bowls of pho soup in a casual diner-style setting.
Really good place to eat pho! The appetizers are so good, I recommend the sampler! The Thai food is above average, I generally enjoyed it but it's not their strongest area. But it's nice just in case you have someone who is not interested in getting the soup.
This place can get really busy on the weekends and there is no waiting area, it's very cozy! Good luck everyone!
This was my first pho experience and let me just say I am HOOKED! This is a nice little cozy place in Chinatown. The service was great. The servers were funny. Nothing to brag about the appetizers. They were exactly what you would expect. But I will say the crab ration were much better than your average takeout.
I’ve been here at least twice because of the great taste of the chicken soup. It’s a large bowl with great flavor for only $11.99. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, the service was good too.
Parking can be a challenge because it is in China town. Be sure to fed the meters when you park on the streets. The meter maids frequent the area often.
I don’t usually like to penalize small businesses however I had to make an exception for this restaurant because how poor the quality of the food was for the takeout order that I made. I ordered kung Pao tofu and Pad Kee Mao.
Most egregiously, I found a piece of chicken in a tofu dish which I had specified needed to be vegetarian. Just one random piece of chicken.
With respect to the pad kee mao, the noodles were so overcooked that they were breaking when I picked them up and the sauce was quite bland as well. I tried adding some spice of my own at my house to improve the flavor somehow. Overall, I think I just wasted $30 on these two entrées.
I don’t know if this is a mistake or if this is expected quality, I hope the management sees this review and does better in the future
First let me start by saying that I'm Irish American and my wife is Taiwanese.
We eat in Chinatown probably 3-4 times a week and have made an effort to try every restaurant in Chinatown.
Although our favorite is Lao Sze Chuan.
Ok that being said, let me describe tonight's experience.
We wanted noodles so we decided to try this restaurant.
When we walked in we were greeted nicely enough and seated right away.
We ordered the shrimp appetizer as well as the pot stickers.
The shrimp was amazing.
The pot stickers were not pot stickers at all but deep fried.
They were good but not described accurately.
We ordered the steak pho for dinner.
It was extremely bland to say the least.
The "steak" was basically 'steakumms' and not good at all.
Then to top it all off there was an older lady clearing the tables that stood right by our table and literally stared at us our entire meal making us both extremely uncomfortable.
This is by far the worst experience we've had in Chinatown and unfortunately won't be back.
Please do better with your pho and the people that work there.
I've had good sandwiches and pho
Small place, but the food was good and fresh.
Loved the Vietnamese food in Chinatown!
Delicious pho with very affordable prices and huge bowls
This restaurant is good. Nice staffs and food. You can park on the street near the restaurant ($2.50/hr). May come back again if I have a chance to come to the Chinatown in Chicago. 한국분들도 좋아하실 듯 합니다.. 식당 안 분위기도 나름 깔끔합니다.
My son requested to eat pho. This is located in front of Courtyard by Marriot. The portion is big (comparing Indonesia’s one). They sells Thai and Vietnamese cuisine.
Sorry no photo. Too hungry to take a picture. Lol
Just a quick interior video. Sorry for the quick movement.
We tried their pho and pork chop.
It’s yummy and it reminds me of Pho An that I’ve ever eaten in Bankstown, NSW. Though I still think something is missing with this pho. But for me, Most important the broth is hot and the rice noodles is soft and fresh.
Great service and amazing food! Waitresses are very polite and welcoming to customers! Will be back!!
It’s crazy to have to write this my family and I have gone here multiple times but this last time we went (and will be the last) on Sunday November 24, 2024 around 6pm. We went to dine in got sat down waited for 20 min while a couple sat down after us was waited and served before us and even got their food before us (but not the reason for review). We ordered our usual spring rolls, egg rolls and pho. Everytime we asked for something it was a long wait and a problem or attitude. Then I got hounded for a tip which I feel was not deserved this time. The next day come Monday my husband woke up in excruciating pain, and weak, vomiting and everything under the sun fever. What we thought was FOOD poisoning and after being hospitalized for 4 days with no answers came out to be SALMONELLA. So please be aware this was the last place we ate and will never be going again.
Delicious food and great service. Large soup less than 13$
Good food! Good people! Good times! 🇻🇳🇺🇸🇵🇭
This was a nice find in Chinatown and it was across the street from our hotel room. The bright and cheerful attitude open the smallish space up quite well. Having said that, the seating arrangements were designed perfectly allowing bench seating around the perimeter of the restaurant and chairs on the other side of the tables. Orders were taken promptly with plenty of time to look at the menu first and the food was wonderful. The spring rolls were great and ( at the time ) huge bowls of pho for under $13 made for a super tasty and inexpensive meal. Highly recommend this place for vietnamese food in Chinatown.

worst thai food i have ever had The pork in the spring roll was a piece of lunch. meat. sauces are not restaurant quality.

カニ🦀チャーハン美味しかったです。
Very friendly staff, amazing food and very affordable! Definitely recommend!!
I enjoyed the salmon with broccoli in panang curry. The sauce was rich and flavorful, with tender broccoli. It was so good, I went back the next night for the same dish!
My friends and I came 3 hours away.. when we sat down they gave us water. After waiting for 20 minutes and still not being asked what we wanted. Mind you, this place was not busy at all, zero communication here not worth it honestly.. way better places around to check out I would AVOID this place
0 Stars, so rude and not deserving of anyone’s business, never came to take or order didn’t even speak to us when she seated us, decided to get up and leave and they were laughing and told us to have a good day, Talking crap so no one can understand them , DO NOT GO HERE !! There is many other places in china town to eat that deserve business
Don’t go here! Save your money and go to the happy lamb or anywhere else. I’ve never experienced such rude service in my life.
I Love this place!

Great food!
We are from out of town and this was the place I found that had high reviews. Sad to say we left highly disappointed in our food. My pho did not taste authentic, but I should have known when we were greeted by a rude hostess and our waiter also didn’t know what a pho dac biet was. This was when I realized it wasn’t an authentic owned Vietnamese restaurant. No worries - we still stayed to give it a chance since everyone in the restaurant was enjoying their food. Maybe the owners have perfected their recipes. Wrong…
When we finally recieved our pho and our com suon (grilled pork chop and rice). It was lacking flavor. My pho was tasteless, almost like I was given noodles in water. It was missing tons flavor and possibly missing MSG. The broth from instant ramen packets would have tasted better than this. As for our pork chop, it was not marinated the way com suon usually is and was basically just a fried pork chop. We’re from Philly and travel frequently, however this is the first time we were disappointed in a pho restaurant. We’ve also eaten pho at non-owned vietnamese restaurants but they were better than this place
Looking back again, I notice alot of their good reviews are from folks who are not asian. But to each their own. If you are used to authentic vietnamese food please look elsewhere as this is not the place and you’ll leave disappointed like we did.
The food is amazing!
Bad experiences at this place. Because we got crab fried rice but it’s was really wet and sweet so we couldn’t eat it and they added a lot of tomatoes into it too. Really expensive and not recommend.
Best food ever. Super kind servers and clean. Good music too. Will definitely be back.
We went there just wanting a smoothie and they tell us it’s a 20 minute wait as we have to sit down. They were just rude and didn’t want to serve us.
This is one of my favorite places to get pho in Chinatown. My family and I have been coming here for years and still think the pho is one of the best. However, the service is okay. The servers don't seem to know much English, but they're trying their best.
Chinese owners poor quality Vietnamese food! Don’t recommend! Pho tasteless soup. Ingredients are not Vietnamese lol.
Bean spouts are discolored with black tips.
Place is totally dead. I can see why people don’t eat there.
But i dun goed here
I don't even want to give one star. It's so bad. This place is not clean at all. The chairs and cutlery are dirty. When I asked them to change the cutlery, I found that some dirt was still on it. When my friend and I finished eating, I started to have stomach pain. I think this situation is very bad and their food is not delicious. They even ignored us when we asked for service which was a waste of our time
The dishes they served were very dirty that had unwashed food like rice sticked on it and the food taste very bad.. Also my stomach got hurt after eating from this restaurant
Fast service, food taste is average. Something different in Chinatown.
L'équipe est très accueillante mais c'est le pire pad thaï que j'ai jamais mangé.
Par contre, mon pote était content de son plat. (Comme tant d'autres, vu les commentaires positifs).
Nice spot for good pho
The food was wonderful I got the coconut drink smoothie and oml I flew to heaven the decoration and vibe in here is very good and traditional service 10/10 whenever we needed something we immediately got served
Food was horrible 😞
Very tasty wonton soup and the adventurers beef pho!! Broth was wonderful!!
Comida gostosa, bem temperada mas achei pequena a porção. Eu comi o Mongólia beef, sabores bem interessantes
Extremely bland and disappointing food. Our waiter was great, but literally every dish was some of the worst Thai food we’ve ever had.
Great food at affordable prices. Would definitely recommend.
took my favorite people here , love this place the food is inexpensive and the servings are great
Ordered delivery. The food looked great, but I didn't have anything to eat my food in! Got 2 cheap plastic spoon that melted and one pair of wooden chopstick. I was literally dipping in a few strands of noodles into the hot broth Tupperware at a time...it was frustrating! No Sriracha or anything per request in the comments when I ordered.
I guess, eat in?! Don't do take out/ delivery if you don't live in Chicago and have no bowls or utensils. LOL!
八点45进门,问15分钟可以吃完吗?吃不完人家说下班了!还有赶客人走的,服务态度极差
The service is quick and professional, great vibes and delicious food 🥰
First time here, and it was one of the best beef pho, banh mi, beef short ribs !!
The place was super clean in the dining room and bathroom!!
Excellent service!! We are definitely coming back next time we're in town!!
I highly recommend this place!!
Also, so close to the airport, it is very convenient, located in Chinatown.
Love there dish of noodles with chicken or in soup have it however you like.
I have been eating here for 27 years. Their pho broth and their nunc cham is the best in the Midwest.
Me encanta este lugar es el mejor lugar Para comer pho delicioso y buenas porciones de carne que le pongan
Great taste in every single dish. Always very clean. But, service is AWFUL, but demand their tip. I always come back because I love this place. I wish I could speak their language to tell them that their service sucks and to stop demanding tip. Do they even read the reviews?
As far as pho on the south side this is definitely my go to. Normally I go up to Lil Vietnam. But when I wanna stay close to home this is it! Biggest portions for cheap. Now, I do have other Vietnamese food other than pho. For example Bun bo hue or Bo kho which bo kho is really hard to find...but they have it and it's PHENOMENAL! I highly recommend ppl graduate to other dishes like this bc once you have them it's hard to not crave them literally every other day. I haven't had their BBH bc they use pig knuckle which I'm not a fan of but I'm sure it would taste just as good as their other stuff. As for pho I suggest the pho w/ rare beef and tendon.
This is my favorite place to go to for great Pho. I also love to pair my Pho with Steak flank with crab rangoons and spring rolls. Also, the Thai iced coffee was absolutely amazing, I highly recommend!
The food is consistently good, as well as the service. Altogether, this place is my favorite restaurant to drop by whenever im in Chinatown and looking for a good meal. I've been a returning and loyal customer for almost 2 years now and ! always make sure to visit whenever in town.
The food was great. I was eating something without the sauce and the waitress came over and told me to use it and she was so right. It really hit the spot on a cold day.
Please don’t go to this place we found a net inside out soup
I went in and ordered take our the girl was on her phone and did not help at all with ordering It was my first time in there and after 15 minutes I went back in to get my order and I handed the lady my receipt and she talked another lady in another language and threw the receipt on the ground I had to pick it up and she did not even care or apologize absolutely horrible customer service
The good is amazing tho and the portions are way too much for one person
Interesting little restaurant in Chinatown. Pleasant casual atmosphere and good friendly table service. The food was less impressive. The larb kai (Thai chicken salad) was probably the worst I have eaten in my life and had very little in common with real Thai larb kai. The taste of the beef pho was very nice and the accompanying vegetables really fresh but the broth just lukewarm, which is quite unusual. We also tried the Thai Kao Soi. The flavor was spot on but the chicken had a weird texture, very similar to the chicken used in the larb kai. Initially we were even wondering whether they perhaps had used fish instead of chicken, as the texture was so strange. My own conclusion was that it may be better to stay away from Thai food at this restaurant.
minimal vegetables, my curry was just tofu and potatoes
Really good flavors in their food. Staff are welcoming. The menu is strong with lots of options. The Pho is particularly good. Also the curries are flavorful and served in generous portions. Good spot.
Great local restaurant.
Great food ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great service ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great price⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Been eating here for 6 years at least once a week. Im addicted to Pho. Very delicious place. Highly recommend
I used to recommend this place for it's fair pricing and everything being good on the menu but after buying late lunch there for the construction boys yesterday it felt mediocre. The panang curry especially was very poor quality. Watered down no spicy kick the curry didn't even stick to the meat or vegetables. It's almost like it was made with 75% water 25% coconut milk. Crying tiger beef was such a small portion of chewy meat I can't recommend that dish either. The bahn mi subs were also lacking the filling amount they used to do. Now onto the pho. I didn't have any but the boys said it was bland . As for the chefs special stew it was still good. I really hope I just caught them on a bad day and it's not always like this but I felt compelled to let people know to curb your expectations if this is how they are now. I used to see this place jam packed but when I went in there was only 1 table seated
Very good paired with a walk through Chinatown. I'm at a conference and it took about 15 minutes to walk from Mcormick. Fair price and good food! I did not try a bahn mi but they looked good
The food was just OK; it took a while to come out, the atmosphere is not my favorite. The floor by the restroom door and hallway is usually wet and the chairs were not very comfortable.
Was in town for business, had a craving for pho. Was not disappointed. Good service good food
Had a few thai dishes. I was half expecting something authentic. Did not get anywhere close to authentic. Missing key ingredients.
Lard nar - waaaay too sweet!!! Not enough sauce. Also missing bean paste and no roasted chilli.
Pad see-eiw - missing dark soy, and was overall too sweet!!! Very watery.
Tom Kha - no spiciness. Canned mushrooms. Should be spicy!!! And must be fresh mushrooms!! Missing kiefer lime leaves and tasted no lemon grass at all.
Overall these were not the dishes we ordered. Felt like some cheap imitation. And SO MUCH SUGAR! I can understand catering traditional dishes to an American audience but please offer these dishes the traditional way just by adding a few simple ingredients.
The service was fine and the price was right.
Me and my friends went to this place to eat. It took forever to get a waiter to take our order. By the time we got one we didn’t have enough time to eat there so we asked for it to go and as so as we did the waiter started to be rude. One egg roll was $4. They gave us water but the cups were dirty and tasted like tap water. Wouldn’t recommend.
It's a great place for those cold winter days when you crave something warm and almost nostalgic kind of feeling. I definitely would recommend this place. They also got a remodeling that's very pleasing to the eye. My favorite is Flank pho noodles regular size with basil and lemon in the broth mixed with raw bean sprouts while sipping the noodles occasionally in sweet hoisin sauce.
Service is ok but the taro milk and mango tango smoothie were very good. Food was good too but not special
it’s good but it’s not like 5 star good. the pad thai is not as good as it’s made out to be and the spring rolls were..not spring rolls? idk how to describe them but they weren’t what i was expecting lol
The pho was good and the portion plentiful.
The curry fried rice was good and flavorful.
The crispy spring rolls were super tiny and expensive for its size. The crunchy spring roll was better size and good.
The price to portions was good and staff friendly.
Overall good experience, minus the tiny fried spring roll.
Overall the food was okay, wasn’t great but wasn’t bad. Service was not good, they waiters only took our order and brought us our food, we asked for the check and they ignored us so then we went to go get it. Tips are included in your bill based on the service they tip themselves more than they deserve and also give no notice that tips are included in your bill.
My favorite cruise is not the pho. The bbq pork rib with fried egg is my favorite! Taste really good and not expensive.
Great Pho and chicken satay
This was nice. Authentic and generous portions.
So excited to find a Thai restaurant in Chinatown the pad see wee & pineapple fried rice was delicious
No. The food is sub par and the service isn’t good. Just a really disappointing meal all around.
A little backstory: My hubby and daughter had just gotten back from a 200-plus mile bike camping trip. She was craving Pho. The closest place to where I was picking them up was this spot in Chinatown (I did not want to make the trek to Argyle). With that, this spot had better reviews than the other spots around the area, plus they are open on Mondays. We ordered what we normally order: Brisket Pho, Banh Mi, Spring Rolls, and Mango Smoothie with Boba.
My criticism is the following: There were very few pieces of beef in the banh mi. Actually, there was very little of anything in the sandwich. Maybe two slices of cucumber, a sprig of cilantro and a couple of small slices of the grilled beef. The bread was not up to par, it seemed to be on the older-side of "fresh". The Pho was a big disappointment. When the brisket hit the broth and sat for a few minutes it turned iridescent. And not just a little twinkle of iridescence but A LOT of iridescence on both sides of the meat. The family picked out the meat and tried to eat around but they had lost their appetite. Nobody finished the soup.
I knew going in that this would not be an amazing dinner but I was hopeful that it would help satisfy my daughter's Pho Itch, but I really felt hosed. $85 for dinner totally down the drain-just like what we had to do with the soup.
I live in the Western Suburbs, it would not be easy for me to pack everything up and bring back to the shop for my money back. Long story short: don't go to Chinatown for your Pho fix.
Disgusting rotten beef in the pho. It shimmered like fish scales. Threw the food away. Enjoy your food poisoning all you five star reviewers. The owners must hate their patrons to serve such a foul meal. Stay away if you have any self respect 🤮
I don't think that I would come back to this restaurant anymore because the employees at this restaurant felt like I wasn't supposed to been there, I understand that everyone have a bad day, the pho was good I'm not gonna lied. The employees wasn't rude, they spoke to me but the sign was telling me that I wasn't welcome to been here in the first place.
How do you send someone dishes with rotten chicken?
Food is amazing, service was average, the restaurant itself is a bit outdated. Overall I enjoyed our meal.
Loving pho here. Lemongrass chicken with egg roll was absolutely fantastic! And best of all customer service is great! Last but not least, it has cleanest restroom ever seen among all oriental eatery I’ve ever been 🤭🤭
I've been going here for 15 years. Best Pho in the city by far. The Noodle survived the lock downs and is still going strong. Amazing staff.
I ordered takeout one night while visiting Chicago for a work trip. I was in the Springhill suites they delivered it to the front desk. Delivery guy was very sweet and upbeat. So about the food. I eat Thai often just to qualify myself real quick. Hands down best Pad Thai I’ve ever had. I asked for “little spicy” in the comment box and it’s perfect. I got the crab rangoons also and omg amazing, they are definitely made fresh they are so light and airy perfect amount inside ugh just a 10/10 very much recommend.
Great food, good milkshakes and smoothies as well. Boba available!
The food was delicious. The reviews were spot on. I took a couple of the reviews and tried certain dishes and they were right. It was my birthday, so husband and I wanted to go somewhere different. We had the following: Banana Shrimp Cake excellent. Panang Curry with Shrimp excellent, and Pad Khee Mao with Shrimp excellent. Great birthday dinner.
Food is good with a wide selection of both Thai and Vietnamese food. The food was really delicious and flavorful but what really struck me was the immense portion sizes! You will definitely get your money's worth here. I have to say mango sticky rice was not exactly what I was expecting (see picture; it is rice but it is just hard to tell because it is coated with what I believe is coconut milk) but was still tasty nonetheless. Highly recommend!
Delicioso todo, muy pequeño el lugar.
Real kin and pop place! Pho was delicious. Portions are so big - I couldn’t finish
The best Pho I've ever had
Best pho big portions nice service the boba is really good had a nice time really good I recommend it
A must
Not a bad place for getting pho.
Good pho place. They have large sized pho (only 10.99!). It's HUGE for 1 person, but you can share if you get another dish to share or simply a spring roll.
Pho was mediocre.
big menu- but with limited variability.
Love this place have been going for years. I live in Texas and still first place I come for pho.
Odered a very delicious sweet and sour chicken for takeaway! Perfect portion, good price :) and nice service
