Sister and I saw this place while driving, decided to try it out. It’s so calming inside and the waitress was very nice. The food ? Amazing, best PadThai I have ever had. The avocado rolls were so good, and the spring rolls covered in plum sauce were super delicious. Definitely coming back again.

The prices are good, the atmosphere lovely, and the food delicious. Compliments to the chef! Whoever arranged our plate, if they ever decide to leave the restaurant business, could have a good career pursuing modern art.

Second visit and I'm wondering why it's been so long. The food was delicious so I'll be back very soon. The Spicy Basil with chicken had a great flavor and the chicken was done just right. The Pepper Steak had lean beef with just the right amount of char. And the crisp spring rolls tasted so fresh and came with a thicker dipping sauce that was not too sweet. Service was friendly and courteous.

The only downside is when there is a Cubs game going on. Parking would be impossible so you would need to walk or take public transportation. The L train is right there. Can't wait to go back. We had Beef Lard Nar and Chicken Pad Kee Mao.

I have been in the neighborhood and passed this place so many times and finally made the move to try this place. My partner and I got the Panang curry and the garlic Thai entree and we were not disappointed. The food was fresh and bursting with flavor, the staff was lovely, the atmosphere was cozy and full of locals. 10/10 would recommend.

Though I give it 4 stars, I LOVE YINDEE. It's our thai food staple - we only get a handful of items as those are the only ones we enjoy. We like their stir frys and their green curry is ELITE. We almost always get 2 green curry dishes when we go. Ambiance is very chill, the owners are a very sweet couple, and the price is very reasonable. I will keep coming back.

Everything about this place looks, feels, and tastes genuine. Very friendly owners with delicious food that delivers each time I go. Very fun to get small appetizers, like the softshell crab, Yindee, and sweet potato roll, along with fresh house made Thai tea. Great prices and right off the brown line so super accessible. Will continue to keep going for as long as I can. Also very clean bathroom!

Get to know their menu. Many great selections. Affordable sushi.
Excellent curries. Pad Thai is sweet. I avoid it. Catfish is in a hot sauce that will make you an addict.
Miso and all the soups are miraculous. Next to Brown line. Go.

So glad I stumbled on this restaurant! It’s cozy and peaceful, and the food is *delicious*! My husband and I got the fried potstickers as an appetizer and fought over who got the last one. He got green curry, and I got Pad Thai, both of which were played beautifully and tasted just as good as they looked. I highly recommend Yindee!

My partner and I absolutely love this place! This is our go to restaurant for special occasions and we’ve never had anything less than a spectacular experience. The staff are super nice and the service is always great. The food is fantastic. The sushi is always excellently prepared and delicious and the entrees are equally excellent. We recommend the Singapore noodles, Pad Kee Mao, Yindee, Bangkok noodles, the Red Dragon Roll, the Volcano roll, and the Unagi Nigiri

The food was delicious, affordable and the waitress and chef were very sweet, efficient people. We came in about 20 minutes closing and we called before hand letting them know and they didn’t hesitate to let us know it would be alright, they also accommodated for some adjustments to the menu items we ordered. Overall very nice place with even nicer people!

Love having yindee in our neighborhood! The staff are so nice and they have such a wide range of options! Love being able to walk in anytime for a quiet dinner and have always have had a great experience with their takeout too.

I live next door to Yindee. I love eating their food. It is one of my favorites. Our whole family loves eating there and if we have people over we will go there and our friends/family feel the same about the food. I see them cleaning their kitchen mats outside and the fresh food trucks dropping off food. The only thing I would like is if they had tuna tar tar!

Placed a large takeout order for eight people last night (Saturday). It took about an hour to deliver to Lane Tech area but the food was hot and very good and the order was completely accurate. It was not too spicy (could have had more). We will definitely try it again.

I've had hundreds of Thai meals in my life and this sadly was one of the worst I've ever had. Ordered chicken satay skewers, Tom yum shrimp and a chicken noodle dish.
The skewers were absolutely tiny, the soup was bland and I believe had 2 shrimp. The chicken noodles was the plainest not only noodles but food in general I've ever eaten. I ordered from their website and I don't recall being asked what spice level (I like my food extra spicy). There were no chilli spices provided. When I spoke to the restaurant the next day (I happened to walk by) I was told I need to request chilli.
Very dissatisfied and unenjoyable meal.
Would not recommend as there are too many other Thai food places available as options.

Stumbled on this place after getting off at the Addison train station. The sushi was so good the first time we stopped in that we decided we wanted to go back the next day instead of eating anywhere else. Great place for a quiet and relaxing dinner with great food and friendly staff. We will be coming back next time we are in Chicago.

Love this place! Live a block down the street and get carry out a couple times a month. Their panang curry is amazing - sushi is super fresh- and can’t go wrong with any of the apps either.

Yindee is a fantastic BYOB sit down or take out Thai experience that is just good food, good atmosphere, and an overall good time.

My first date with my girl was here and we go back every year because its just somewhere we always feel connected to. Can't recommend these good people enough.

The food was really good! I chose some of the spring rolls, egg roles, and pad kee mao with tofu. All were really delicious and very reasonably priced. Eating with two of my friends, we paid a fairly low price for all of us. A solid place to grab some delicious take out!

Worst pad thai I've ever had ! I ordered Tofu pad thai with extra vegetables (paid extra) and got NO tofu...and the taste was just awful. My son had the the California roll and he liked that, but I'll never order from here again.

I have been here multiple and never have had an issue until today. I ordered the spring roll, got it and there was a large piece of hair in it. We immediately told our waitress and her reaction was hostile. She acted as if we shouldn’t be tell her, and became mad and frustrated at us. She ripped the plate off the table and started to stomp away speaking under her breathe we heard her throw the plate saying “I guess you want a new one”, still speaking very mad. She was not properly wearing her mask any time she interacted with us. Very upsetting during a pandemic.

As someone who's lived in both coastal florida for the freshest seafood, and New York providing the widest range of sushi, thai, and japanese restaurants.... I was SUPER impressed with the quality of raw fish. The rolls were amazing, fresh, the unagi was cooked perfectly, the spicy tuna rolls were all fish and not filled with tempura flakes to add filler... Thai tea was to die for as well. The owners were so sweet and I couldn't recommend Yindee better 😍❤️✅

So good! My boyfriend gets the Chicken Basil Fried Rice and I get veggie makis or salmon sashimi for dine-in or takeout, depends on the mood. Never fails. They put magic on their food. Fresh and deliciously prepared. We love Yindee.

This is mostly a take-out place which explains why it's usually pretty empty inside. But the restaurant is very clean and nicely decorated.

Unfortunately the last few times we've been getting attitude from the younger waiter. Last time he never asked us if we wanted anything else before bringing the check. When he brought the check we told him we still wanted to order mochi at which point he rolled his eyes and took a deep breath. We were surprised that this guy was pissed at us for ordering more food when HE failed to ask us before bringing the check. And who complains about more business? maybe we just misunderstood his body language...

Ordered delivery. Service was prompt and food was piping hot. Arrived before we anticipated which is good since they are very close by our location. We ordered the tom kha soup, sweet potato maki, lad nar, satay skewers in chicken and beef, thai iced teas, and cucumber salad. The food was delicious and so much so that I'm ordering from there again right now.

This place is great! Just started working in the area, walked there to order some sushi. They were extremely polite, quick to make my rolls, and the food was fantastic! This will definitely become a regular lunchtime treat for me.

My wife and I were in town for the Summer On Southport festival. After a long day in the rain, we were ready to call it a night and head back to the hotel room. We were both hungry and decided that rather than driving all around the city, we would find somewhere that we could walk to. Yindee was a little further than we wanted to go but we were intrigued by the sushi/thai combo that they advertised and it was basically on the way back to the hotel so we decided to give them a shot. We were both totally delighted with everything that we had! We ordered a few small things to start from both menus but ended up not only getting some food to go but having lunch there the next day before we got out of town. The prices were amazingly cheap for the portion size and the entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. Strangely, we were one of only 2 tables full in the entire tiny restaurant. I don't know why this place doesn't have a line out the door but it will be on our list the next time we come to town!

Yindee is the Best Thia Restaurant in Chicago. Conveniently located under the brown line. They also have an amazing sushi, very fresh and tasty. The staff is very friendly and attentive.

Cute little place under the Addison brown line train. Hello Kitty lovers would shriek with glee at the humongous Hello Kitty collection in the display case. The menu items are very basic Thai dishes and a few sushi rolls. The Viking roll I had was cream cheese, avocado, sweet yellow egg cake (someone remind me the name of that, please!) and fried tuna. It was decent, but the flavor was very mellow. i also tried Penang curry and basil chicken, and again very subtle flavors. I couldn't taste the basil at all in the basil chicken. I do give then credit, though, for putting this together. I asked for this specifically since it wasn't on the menu. But then again, catfish WAS on the menu but they didn't have it, so they owed me one.

I have gone to Yindee's many times, and i plan on going back. It is a perfect mix of thai and japanese. The sushi is amazing and the sevice is spectacular. The restruant was recently built and has a very cool style to it. Ken, the owner, is extremely nice and makes the sushi himself. So you know it will be up to the restraunts stantard.

I love to fuel up with fresh pan-Asian dishes at Yindee. They offer the usual sushi suspects, like dragon or rainbow rolls, plus Thai curries and noodles all beautifully plated and reasonably priced.

My favorite items include the tofu pad thai and spicy tuna rolls, but, if you're looking to try something more unique, the scallop nuggets are a must!

Yindee is BYOB, affordable, and complete with great service and ambiance. Hop on the Brown Line and let Chicago's most scenic train do all the work. It's so easy to locate, right off the Addison stop, that even a Chi town newbie can handle getting there.

My favorite low-key budget-friendly Thai/Japanese hole in the wall. Delicious, fresh, BYOB. The Thai menu is good, the sushi menu is excellent. Fish is very fresh and well-prepared. Mini maki rolls are only $5. I LOVE spicy salmon skin mini roll. From the specialty roll menu I love the Tornado roll. Sushi Special is a great bargain at $15: 8 pieces of nigiri and a mini roll, and you can pick your own. They deliver too! Great spot.

It's a fail unfortunately for me as it's super convenient to where we live. What I would call "food court" standard food. Only tried two Thai dishes so can't speak for the Japanese. Service was fast and friendly but the food at Thai Linda's up the road is much nicer.

Our favorite new BYOB. The $5 sushi rolls are a nice touch for an appetizer to precede the well portioned Thai entrées. Great lunch specials aim to please and these guys seem to take the competition seriously, as the service is usually very personal. Nice to have the Thai/Japanese selection to choose from.
