Established in 2017, Thai Thank You offers authentic Thai cuisine in a casual. They also cater to vegetarians with delicious plant-based options alongside refreshing smoothies.
Decent food, terrible packaging. Duck curry came in a flimsy plastic container, and the lime chicken was in styrofoam. The styrofoam container also had cuts in the top for venting. Who knows how much styrofoam went into the food. And these days with how much we know about the dangers of microplastics, no restaurant should be pouring hot soup into plastic containers. Ramen shops use the paper containers and only have plastic lids...not perfect but it's better. Thai thank you goes the cheapest possible route to give us the worst packaging. Since they jack up menu prices by 3 dollars per item on uber eats, you think they'd invest in some quality packaging.
The lime chicken was strange. It was easily 2x the amount of breading Vs chicken. I was often eating huge hollow bites of breading by itself. The duck curry tasted very good.
Order at your own risk.
So please I feel scam for the chive dumplings. The dough is very thick compared to the filling very skim. The most hurtful is Pad see ew. How come that the noodle is not even a roll but a cut and they didn’t stirred fry with egg but egg flakes on the top? Tasteless, I couldn’t finish and throw to the trash. But thanks for the kale. 🥬
Food tasted and smelled old, was soggy, salty, went straight to trash. About $50 for one appetizer and 2 entrées. Never again. I hate to give bad reviews for independent places and people who are struggling, so I hope this ends up being constructive and opens their eyes.
I visited this restaurant last week and I was excited to eat some Asian food because I craved it. They overcharged me and gave me a smoothie instead of bubble tea and tried convincing me "this is our bubble tea." I asked for a refund; they made it seem like they refunded me but the money was never put back on my card from last weekend.
I ordered a combo rice and the egg rolls were supposed to come with the rice but they charged me separately. They definitely cheated me out of my money. Their sweet and sour sauce tastes like apple cider vinegar.
I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. Negative 10 stars 🤩
Green Curry is my favorite curry. I’m not sure what I received from Thai Thank You. It had NO green curry flavor at all. Just.tasted like coconut milk. Literally the worst curry I’ve ever had. So disappointed.
Best Pad Thai ever ! I tried Chicken Pad Thai and my friend got Panang Curry with Tofu. We were so impressed with the quality of food. The prices are fair for the portion size. Always delicious. Always a great spot to get great food.

Avoid, really gross
Worst staff don't know how to treat with diners

Taro custard here is a gem! We love it

Thai Thank You is the kind of neighborhood joint you’re hoping for when you want a good takeaway. Food always slaps, especially the green curry. Order directly from their site for a better deal for you AND the business.
Ordered delivery directly from the restaurant's website and it was a better deal than uber eats. Good portion, delicious Pad Khee Mao, kind delivery person, and they accommodated to my request to make it vegetarian. Will be ordering again!
Most mediocre papaya salad if all time. No flavor
Dont go there around lunch time . Food taste and quality was really bad i had to throw it away . The lady helping is another hassle to deal with her . Not recommended to anyone

Most HORRIBLE Thai food I ever had, I kidd you not !! 🤮 Chicken in sugary Pad Thai like wood chips ! Seriously !! Must think Americans are stupid?
I should have taken a photo but you can't really tell from the photo anyway, unless you try to bite on the wood chip chicken ! So disgusting ! I just ate the noodles and tossed the wood chip chicken out to the park for the squirrels to eat !!
They are young new owners. The original owner my frequency 10 years ago she sold it to them & must have retired? She was excellent !!
These new owners need to go to an authentic Thai cooking school and learn from scratch cuz even a 5th or 6th grader would do a better cooking job !!
ugh. still only carry out, even though more than 2 months ago, the World Health Organization officially said covid is no longer a world health emergency. Thank goodness just about every other restaurant in the city has dine-in now.
Only carry out
Penang Curry with white rice was hands down.. best most delicious (and very generous serving )meal I've had in years ,and I'm not exactly a youngin!!!!
Only carry-out since Covid-19
Their pad thai and pad khee mao are delicious
Not bad, have had better.
Really solid food and decent portion size. Wish you could select your spice level though!
Wow nice I need more of that
It advertises that you can dine in but you can't. Ugh
The best fried rice ever
Hands down my favorite food in the area. Super authentic, consistently delicious, and reasonably priced. Not to mention, the people that work there are great!
Our go to takeout Thai. Panang curry is lights out. Tom Yum and Rangoons are great too. Order directly through them for better deals
Got 2 fried rice dishes, chicken fried rice and Thai thank you fried rice. The Thai thank you fried rice is suppose to be hot and spicy, NOT! Neither dish had any flavor and the rice wasn't fresh, mushy!
This is our usual Thai place and I usually get the Pad Bamee with chicken, which is a very delicious go-to and the curry fried rice is also a good option. Generous portions, lots of flavor, spicy to your own liking.
Super solid, great local option
Bad experience with Thai thank you on grub hub. The delivery time was 45-55 min so I called after an hour and 20 minutes and no one was answering the phone (x5 attempts). Grub hub was able to get a hold of someone that said it would be another 30-40 minutes!?
Not many places open on Christmas but I cancelled out of frustration assuming they hadn’t started my on order.
They should call the place. Thank you for Nothing Thai or start answering their phone/ get a working phone.
The food is good but it didn’t stand out. Ordered papaya salad, pad khee mao and basil with chicken. Everything was good but nothing stood out enough to make me want to go back. Interestingly the basil chicken didn’t even taste like basil at all 🤔
They must be having an off day. Everything we ordered is salted to the point of being inedible, and that's a lot coming from someone who's been told they oversalt their food. $60 gone to waste.
Short headline: this place has absolutely delicious and authentic Thai food! I lived and worked in Bangkok for 2 years and really appreciate when Thai restaurants in the United States do it correctly, and Thai Thank You really does it super well. When we order Thai, we usually order for dinner and for lunch/dinner the next day. So we ordered 2 orders of Bahmee Wonton, 2 orders of Som Tam Thai, Larb Kai, and 2 sticky rice (which wasn’t on the menu but they were kind enough to add on from the staff’s personal stash), and because our order was over $30, we had a choice of an extra meal so we chose the Pad Thai Kai (chicken). All of it was superb and the prices were better than other Thai restaurants in Chicago.
However, when we received our delivery (earlier than estimated as well), we opened the bag to find that one of our Som Tam orders wasn’t in the bag. I called Kat to let her know, and she discovered the mistake. She sent the Som Tam over and she added a personal note of apology, and a free can of Coke as well! Exactly the type of friendly, kind service you would expect from Thai people, who are some of the kindest people on earth. They don’t call it the Land of Smiles for nothing!
We have found our neighborhood Thai restaurant, and will be ordering from Thai Thank You again really soon. Highly recommend!
Crab fried rice had crab shells and big slice of tomato. Other food was good
Just amazing!! 🤩 i literally come here once a week. Delicious food, great people, and very affordable. Consistent too!
So delicious and great price! They make the food so fast that I can barely get out the door after placing an online order, and they’re so nice :) they’ve been a staple for ordering out during the pandemic.
Probably the best green curry I've had in Chicago. Flavors were super strong, authentic, and on point. The noodles were decent but way too sweet. It makes me sad when thai restaurants sacrifice authenticity for increased sugar content because that's what the typical American palate appreciates. Minus 1 star for that.
Super delicious, fresh Thai food. Friendly staff and fair prices. We will definitely be visiting Thai Thank You again.
Great affordable Thai food and shakes ! Go here nearly every week. Best costumer service and Thai food in the area, mostly get the panang noodle.
Food and service is consistently awesome. The Panang Curry is as good as everyone says. My guilty pleasure is the Lime Chicken and they know how to pack it for delivery so that it arrives hot and crispy. Thank you Thai Thank You!
Great food, large portions. Spicy option is nice
Really disappointed. We ordered food for to go and paid extra to have more shrimps in the dish. When we opened the container, food was not fresh, smelled really bad and we found exactly 4 shrimps in the dish. Really bad experience
20 minutes late for a pick up order and other people standing around waiting too. Decent food, one order was wrong.
Staff members are kind and polite and on their job
Very good stuff and very inexpensive
Yummy
Great green curry. The best Thai place I’ve found in Lakeview/Lincoln Park! Also very accommodating for food allergies. Wait staff was knowledgeable about allergens in each dish. Add a side of steamed vegetables to get baby corn as it’s not in the basic mix.
Great menu and nutrition tips with a great staff
I don't expect much about this place but turn out delicious. Excellent authentic flavors of Thai herb and spicy. Services are excellent as well. Highly recommended
Friendly service. Great Panang Curry! Nice place to bring the family.
A pretty standard thai place.
Very authentic and traditional Thai food. Great service.
Nice, Quiet and Cozy. Good for family and dating.
Great food and service.
Heard it is good for some time. Never tried yet
Normally the foods are good but this time the food was too sweet.
Friendly staff. Quick service. Good price for the portions. Get the lunch special with the crab rangoon. Bubble Tea is also pretty good.
Had a very good meal at Thai Thank You! Chicken Pot Stickers were good, Pad See Ew with tofu was great, and Thai Iced Tea was good too, if not a bit sweet. Ginger Chicken was a bit too heavy on ginger, and brown rice was a bit undercooked. Maybe some weak spots on the menu, but some of these dishes were really quite good and I can't wait to to back.
For those who want authentic Thai food and an authentic Thai restaurant, this might not be the place for you. There were quite a few signs in the restaurant indicating that this is more of a Chinese restaurant that makes Thai food. I've had more authentic Thai food, so this was a disappointment for me and I got 2 simple/basic dishes, yellow curry and pad Thai.
Panang Curry with Chicken add baby corn, Mixed Vegetables with chicken add cashews. Best order of Thai food I’ve found in Chicago
Deeeeecent
The Thank You Noodle dish was absolutely delicious. Nice place.
Great pad siew with beef! Very nice and good service.
Great service, food was cheap prices! I'll come back
Great food. Very fresh and well prepared. Friendly people. Good for kids.
Food was cheap but real tasty. Always get pad se ew at any Thai place I go to! It’s delicious!
Always great food and great service. Fast, inexpensive, and always a pleasant experience.
Highly highly recommend!!
You're welcome.
Our regular Thai place. No-nonsense place with great food and good prices.
Pretty good food with some menu items you won't see in other Thai places. Smoothies are good and the curries are a standout on the menu. Staff are super friendly and love playing with our infant when we bring him in.
Love their food. Simply delicious.
Great place very fast !! Will come back for sure!!
Lugar estandar, comida y servicio estandar
Good neighborhood Thai food.
Everything is fresh, flavorful. Have been there twice. Service could be more attentive.
Great food at a great price! Swing buy Whole Foods beforehand to make this a smart BYOB combo.
Delicious food, friendly staff, cheap prices! It’s always a great date night. Cat is a marvelous waitress.
Best Thai food in the city. Penang Curry is unbelievable. A weekly staple in our house!
Affordable and delicious food.
A pleasant environment ,Friendly, courteous servers , menu has a variety of selections with much to choose.
High quality ingredients, it's my preferred Thai restaurant.
It is very delicious! Great prices too. I used my Park Chicago app to pay for street parking. It is very easy parking and quick service.
good food. good people. nice ambiance.
This is a great place for Thai Food with reasonable price ...
and friendly owner.
The last time I visited here some dish is a little sweet and
some is a little salty.
I was suggested to the owner about that.
Probably someone in the kitchen did not know that sugar and salt
in the US are more concentrated than in Thailand.
Other than that the food are great as a true Thai Authentic Cuisine.
I've been cooking Thai Food in the US for many years and
I preferred Authentic Thai Cooking not American water down.
If you like full favor Thai Food this place is good for you.
...
.... full favor is not mean hot and spicy ....
Great food
Thai Thank You is the only Thai restaurant in the area that I eat at. I love it. Everything is yummy.
Great Lunch Special
Absolutetly amazing, and fast delivery.
Food is great! Fried tofu here is my favorite.
Friendly and quick service! Best curry and fried rice I've had so far in the city. Very reasonably priced and the portions are huge! This is the standard by which other Thai restaurants I eat at is measured.
I've eaten here twice, both times ate the Pad See Ewe. The noodles are delicious, great flavors, beef is OK. The only complaint is the portion size- I came in with a friend and she had way more food than I did but I had better vegetable:meat ratio than she (She had more vegetables, less meat). Portion size is not very consistent. Positive size is they are friendly and service is quick.
Thai Thank You- more like Thai No Thank You! The shrimp was NOT cooked at all- gross! The food was also cold- stoves my "friends"! No flavor at all- sauce and seasoning was invented for a reason. Don't go there unless you want bad service. Remember, Thai No Thank You!
