Located a 10 minute walk away from the CTA Fullerton stop, Noodles in the Pot is a casual Thai restaurant serving noodles, rice & more. Started with just 1 chef, 1 waiter and 1 dishwasher over 20 years ago by two Thai immigrants, this restaurant has become a staple in Lincoln Park.
With a variety of starters, salads, soups, noodles, curry dishes, rice dishes, desserts and beverages, everyone can find something that they'll love.
Thank you for supporting your local, small business!
I’ve been here countless times over the years and never experienced anything less than the highest quality Thai in Chicago. Their patio seating/byob combo makes dining in a no brainer when it’s warm out. 10/10 restaurant
Just moved into the Lincoln Park neighborhood and wanted to check out the local Thai joints in the area. I got my food to go but would like to dine in sometime (I think they had a outdoor patio). The food was very good but I wasn’t blown away. The Tom Yum was labeled as “Spicy” but I would level it 01/10 spicy level? Will have to come back and try more dishes
I actually placed my order at the restaurant. He was very standoffish, I paid with card, I had my hand out as I thought he was going to hand me my card back, he looked at my hand and put the card on the table. Wow. That’s not all. I asked for sauce, and he was rude. I won’t be going back there. I eat out a lot and when they don’t treat me right, it’s their loss.
Amazing Phuket noodles

Food was very delicious and very affordable

Great little spot! The pad kee mao is my favorite here, as well as their ice thai teas. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing. Service is great and quick !
Used to eat here for years and years and had consistent food. Then during Covid it got worse. Food isn’t fresh, it’s overpriced, and tastes nothing like it was before. Absolutely not worth coming here. Rice noodles and beans sprouts shld cost no more than 8.00. Fk inflation
The primitive folk eat noodles in a bowl (bowl), watch Maradona with his fist score a goal (goal)
Dined outside at 8 PM on a Friday. Absolutely amazing service, there was only one waitress for the whole restaurant, but she was very friendly and attentive. Everyone enjoyed their food, and we all left raving about the crab rangoon! Keep in mind it is BYOB. Will be back!
This place has really gone down hill in recent years. They’re overpriced and it’s mediocre at best. Very disappointing!
The coconut curry was absolutely amazing, totally going to this restaurant again. And the server was so attentive and kind to us. Everything about out experience was positive. 5 star food and service for sure!!!!
Wonderful food! I had the Golden Noodles and it was so fresh and well seasoned. The chicken was also delicious and moist. Great price for the portion you get too. Definitely worth a shot for dinner 👍👍
They have the best crab ragoons in the city!!! The food is amazing and everything is priced reasonably. The people here are so sweet and sincere and very accommodating. By far the best Thai food I’ve had in the city.
Really great crab Rangoon!
I visited this restaurant years ago & the food was great! & know I had the pa kee mo & it was horrible. I guest it's true u can never go back
Rama chicken is the BEST.
Underrated Thai place in the North Side. Fantastic Coconut Chicken Curry. Best peanut sauce I've ever had anywhere!
The one knock is though there is seating, it tends to be a takeout place and the atmosphere can be a bit stale. It is better in the summer when they can move chairs and tables outside.
I ordered here for takeout for the first time and they gave me the wrong order or something. I ordered drunken noodles and they gave me a mix of pad thai or pad see ew? Drunken noodles are spicy and my noodles were sweet. I saw someone else’s picture they posted of the drunken noodles and it doesn’t match what I got either. I ordered at night for takeout so I feel like they just gave me whatever was leftover. Super disappointed, wasted 15 bucks never coming back
The best panang curry I’ve ever had !
Food is great here, but we arrived 45 minutes before closing time and paid for parking to be told that we couldn't dine in. Not our fault the restaurant was empty and they didn't deem it necessary to serve any more people. Change business hours so people don't drive all the way to be turned away.
Delicious ramen bowls, satisfying slurps.
Unassuming place but has reliably good Thai food at excellent prices. I love the pad Thai (not too sweet) and the curry noodles which are fried and crispy. But everything is good, I’ve also tried the Pad See Eiw, Pad Woonsen, and basil fried rice. I get takeout from here at least once a month.
Food was super tasty, but service was super weird. (No big deal, and it all worked out, but hostess completely bussed and cleaned a table right next to us before anyone even talked to us.) Portions were generous and flavor was on point. Would maybe skip the jasmine tea next time because it's just a tea bag.
very very nice and kind staff. cute outdoor seating , pad see ew always tastes good. my friend is vegan and they made their dish accommodating that without charging extra which was delightful.
Coconut curry with tofu was really good. Noodles were great. Was hoping the tofu would be crispy but it was raw.
Horrendous customer service. Charged me almost $4 for a few pieces of extra baby corn in a dish. They’ve done things like this before so I finally called and they were beyond rude. It would have just taken some basic courtesy and customer service to fix this small issue. Won't be returning.
delicious😋
The BEST Thai in Chicago! Portions enough for 2 meals and always cooked to perfection.
The food was pretty bland and the ingredients did not seem that fresh. Our entire group was disappointed.
Been coming here since 2003. Prices have gone up, but what hasn't? What hasn't changed is the food. The food is DELICIOUS and hands down my favorite Thai restaurant in the Chicagoland area!
Thai Rice Stick and Lard Na are my go to selections!
***2022 Update***
New ownership. Food quality has gone down significantly. Last two orders were pretty underwhelming. Really sad to see what it's become.
This is my favorite Thai restaurant in Chicago. They give you really large portions and some thing about the way they prepare the pad Thai and the sauce and everything just makes it one of the best tasting Thai dishes in the city. They are also conveniently located on Halsted what she usually has pretty good street parking. Also pretty good value for the price. Definitely recommend checking this place out
It was empty when we came for dinner on a Friday for dine-in so we were apprehensive but pleasantly surprised! Really yummy food. Best crab rangoon I’ve had in Chicago.
Spicy chili noodles are the best, I can eat it everyday
Amazing, affordable, quick and friendly.
Really meh food. Lacks flavor depth. Won't ve coming back.
I was highly impressed with this place. We wanted a good pad Thai experience and what we got was an excellent one! It was so tasty with just the right spiciness. The service was wonderful and did I mention BYOB?!!! We will definitely be back!!
This used to be my favorite place for Thai but since getting new owners it's really declined. The prices are too high, and they keep messing up my to go orders. It's too expensive to get home and have food missing, especially after tipping. I also keep getting attitude from the same male waiter for no reason.
Pretty disappointing. Maybe I ordered the wrong thing. I got the chicken fried rice and it was bland and barely edible. I threw away most of it. I also got the bubble tea, but it had a strange flavor and the tapioca pearls seemed partially disintegrated - like they were soaking in liquid for too long. I also threw away most of the bubble tea. Maybe their other dishes are better, because I notice they haveseveral high ratings on here.
Cheap grub in a styrofoam to-go container can hold you over, once, but don't repeat.
Amazing pad Thai - Always a great gluten free option! Loved the cozy patio.
SUCH good food! I went with two girlfriends and we shared meals. Basil leaves with chicken was great, as was the pad kee mao. Panang curry with vegetables & rice wasn’t on the menu, but I asked the waitress and she was able to make it work. It was all fantastic, and the wait times weren’t long at all!
Pad Thai with shrimp and tofu comes out to be $18. Pretty big portion though. Tastes okay.
The food was ok, but the waiting time to get our meals was ridiculous long, close to 50 min. Plus To get them, we understand you guys got a lot of to go orders but you should aware your clientes before they sit about the waiting time. We were about to to cancel our order when they finally arrived with the food.
I've been going to this place for years and it's great that I've been able to share this food with my kids
Shared the Green Curry and Pad See Eiw.
Both were flavorful without too much heat for the curry. Little sparse on the vegetables in the curry but lots of Tofu. Very nice amount given for the Pad See Eiw.
Absolutely the best!
The best Beef Pad Thai in my opinion. Tangy and sweet!
My favorite hole in the wall Thai joint.
Perfect flavors
Great food, great service! I'd recommend both the Panang curry and the Green curry so far!
Great service and delicious curries! Cute patio!
I’ve been going here for 6 years n is still one of my fave spots in chicago
Best pad Thai place
Ordered from them and got the Pad See Ew. The food smells weird and doesn't taste good. Took one bite and had to throw the rest out. Would not recommend.
I love this place
Food was fine. Tofu was super fried unfortunately :/
The food is AMAZING. I have been coming here for years and I travel from far to get my fix The 3 stars are based on my most recent experience. I understand times are hard but I'd like to remind all establishments that your paying customers CHOOSE you. Please treat them kindly over the phone and in person when they pick-up their to go orders. Unfortunately, Friday I had an extremely unpleasant customer service experience. I'd hate to rule out a restaurant because of their poor customer service.
Great food at great prices. Some of the best Thai around town with a nice cozy outdoor seating area.
Always great food and service.
Awesome food loved the outdoor dining
This is our go to place when we are in the mood for Thai food. Good menu. Food is well prepared. I have never had a a bad meal or experience there. If I am in the neighborhood I will drop in for lunch. The Chicken Larb and Nom Tok are my favorite meals. I also love the Thai rolls as an appetizer.
Delicious food, polite staff
Some of the best pad Thai and pad see eiw in the city. Highly recommend.
Great authentic thai food. Definitely the place to go if you like spicy! I like the pad see ew. Its really good, some of the best that I have ever had!
Noodle dish was oily and not very flavorful
Good sized portions.
All of the pad thai and curry dishes are well seasoned and the spiciness level is dictated by the customer. Service is quick and water refills are swift. Very good value for this part of town.
Was kind of disappointed in our visit to Noodles in the pot. The restaurant is nice enough, art hung throughout the place with lots of space to sit. The food was quite disappointing for both myself and my counterpart, as the portions were very small (we got a bacci pizza slice after, as we weren't full at all) and not what you expected. My noodle dish had barely any noodles in it and was loaded with way too many mushrooms, and my partner's curry was just chicken with a sauce drizzle on it.. not what you'd expect from a curry. On top of it all, the server was kind of rude and didn't seem like she wanted to be there at all.
You definitely will not be disappointed.
I am always very happy with this place every time I stop by. Their lunch specials are a great value for the quality of the food and the service is always super friendly.
Just okay. Certainly not the best Thai food I've ever had, and certainly not the worst either. This spot is BYOB and seems to be quite the spot for togo/take out orders. Parking on street wasn't difficult to come by and costs $2/hour.
In terms of service, no issue getting a seat on an early Friday night dinner. Place did fill up quite quickly after we were seated so it does seem to be a somewhat popular spot. Overall the service I'd say was attentive, no issues getting some one to take our order, get refills on water, grab out bill, etc.
For food, like I said just okay. The tom kha with chicken was decent. The ingredients could've been chopped up a bit more but overall flavors were there. Pad see eiw was okay but I felt like it shined because I was pretty disappointed with my basil leaf chicken. Thai rolls to start were a highlight of the meal as they were delicious but a bit costly for what it is.
Hard to say I'd be back for this one with Paula's kitchen just a few doors down.
'Til next time!
Great food and good sized portions
I don’t understand how this place is not 5 stars. It’s seriously the best Thai food I’ve ever eaten in all of Chicago and NYC. The food never disappoints, it is a tad on the sweet side but I love love love it!! They have crispy fried noodles with their Penang curry that I haven’t been able to get anywhere else. Their staples of pad thai and pad see ew are solid. If I didn’t live so far I’d be eating there every week. Prices are good and the inside is fine, street parking is decent too.
Nice and clean. Large and delicious portions.
Yummy yummy for my tummy tummy. Love the food always...
Who is rating this very very subpar place? My Pad Thai was missing ingredients that are fairly standard for this dish. Jalapenos served with Pad Thai? Really? My fresh spring roll was equally subpar and was served with an applesauce like sauce. Chicago, wake up and expect better!
Very nice.
Fast good food, have had almost everything here
I've been dining here for almost two decades and it's consistently delicious and low-cost. The weekday lunch menu is incredibly affordable, and the portions are large.
I was so excited when I read all the positive reviews, however my order was quite different...maybe it was just timing?
Service 4/5
Food 2/5
Ambiance 3/5
Bang for buck 2/5
Ordered for pickup here last week around 3pm. Got pad Thai, crab Rangoon, and a tea. In all honesty I’m really not sure how they have such good ratings. It was some of the worst pad Thai I’ve had in the city for a pretty high price. It looked nothing like the picture and only consisted of the noodles with sauce and tofu. No veggies, peanuts, or garnish?! It was oily and tasteless. I usually love having leftovers, but this one tasted 10x worse the second day. Boba tea and grab Rangoon were fine, nothing special, definitely over priced.
I will never order from or dine here again, and will certainly not recommend to anyone looking for good bites in LP
Food served don't taste right, too sweet. Chicken curry too creamy, too much coconut milk, color o
Me and my families favorite Thai restaurant in Chicago! Everytime we eat or get Thai, it’s from here - we have been going for about 8-10 years now!! I’ve never had better Thai food, try it!! Highly recommend trying either the spring rolls, baby egg rolls, pad woon sen, fried rice, beef and broccoli, coconut chicken curry, pad Thai, chicken satay, cucumber salad, drunken noodles, etc!! Oh and the peanut sauce is amazing too (tastes so good if you put it on their white rice or on the chicken satay)! They also deliver and carry out.
Delish!!
One of my top places for Thai food. Looking forward to coming back with my coworkers. This place has an awesome feel to it.
Delicious !
The customer service is constantly speedy, good ambience, friendly staff. Will come back again when I get in town.
Good and very well priced food. The Crab Rangoon was outstanding!
The food tasted very good, but service was a little slow and I felt a little sick later on in the night.
Delicious spring rolls.
Simple and quick. Service needs work.
Excellent portions for the lunch specials. And it's spice perfectly I will definitely go back
Best baby egg rols around. Everything is great here.
LOVE THIS PLACE. The food is done in a very short time, the waiters are extremely nice. The lunch specials have an amazing price to them and it always leaves me satisfied.
Really good food! Lots of options!
Gotta try the Phuket noodles. They are outstanding and you can rarely find this dish at any restaurant.
Our food was delicious!!
Great good, great prices. Lunch specials 🎩
😁
👕👍Great!
👖
Very bad food. Disappointing.
Loved this place over 15 years
Service was decent. I ordered Pad See Ew and it was fine, not the best I've had.
Yummy pad Thai
Love Noodles in the pot. Its a small unassuming storefront with some great fresh Thai food and an added plus its byob.
Good food
A great little hole-in-the-wall type spot for some excellent Thai food! I had their rangoons and chicken pad thai. Great food for a reasonable price. Would recommend!
Very good and authentic, and they use quality ingredients, but there was a little room for improvement. For instance, we didn't really enjoy the egg rolls and I feel like my green curry had a stronger flavor of coconut milk than curry. But the other two people at out our table had very tasty noodle dishes, so overall, we were all pleased. Would go again when in the area.
Best Thai place in town. Fast and friendly service and the food is always amazing. Love the outside patio. Also great for ordering out, delivery is always really fast.
I have never in my life experienced such immature and horrible service.
My friends and I went on a Saturday night for our friend's birthday when the restaurant was practically empty. Because we only ordered appetizers the waiter was ripping the napkins and our water cups practically out of our hands and asked when we were going to leave. I have never experienced a more rude waiter. We were shocked by how outrageous he was being and when I asked what we had done wrong he was furious we only bought appetizers. I'm sorry but when your restaurant is EMPTY, you should be happy with any business you receive. We were a pretty quiet bunch but we couldn't believe ourselves when he was aggressively clearing the table while we were still enjoying our dining. He even gave a middle finger to me when we asked for the check!! Appalling, absurd, infuriating, terrible. I wish I could tell the world how terrible this place is. I called out the waiter, informed him of everything I am typing, and he still was rude. All other wait staff apologized profusely. Never EVER spend money here, I hope Karma comes back to bite the inappropriate and rude behavior we experienced!
Love this restaurant. Great Thai food.
Delicious! I can't wait to go back. Definitely get the cucumber salad.
Good thai food
The very best Thai noodles in Chicago. Great service and divine iced coffee.
