1st time dine in here- everything was warm, tasty and served as ordered. tried broccoli ginger stir fry, vegetable tom yum soup, Thai banana sticky rice with red bean dessert and coconut boba smoothie with almond milk. still had leftover soup and stir fry to go. fyi, level 3 was already pretty spicy for me (0-10). only 1-2 other customers so not overcrowded like in evening, but noticed non-stop delivery pickups! will definitely be back. large variety of reasonably priced menu items, credit cards ok, but smaller dining area so would probably be too crowded for large families, groups or wheelchair (I am mobility impaired but found a small table by cashier.) i was satisfied that they accommodated my requests and waitress was kind.

Doordash order. Sushi was huge and I enjoyed the Fire (orange color) one very much; Dragon Roll was as expected; Spider roll disappointing because I barely tasted and found soft shell crab in the roll. The differentiation was the radish curls that were common in the early 2000s and you don’t get nowadays and the spicy wasabi.

The pad see eww was NOT good. Rice noodles were not long noodles but broken and there are no eggs or Chinese kai lan.

The Thai custard was not up to standard—dry and chalky.

I gave this 4 stars for effort but I want to support local restaurants like this. It is hard when the quality is lacking.

What happen to this restaurant do they change owners im a real closed neighbour im a regular customer the food use to be good a couple times i try to order and they dont have the ingredients to prepare the food now today i order my regular beef soup it used to be 2 containers one for the broth and the noodels and meat on another im posting a picture of what i get instead never will order again f3om here and is a shame because the quality of the food it use to be real good not anymore i hope if you are the owner read this review and $28 dollars for this it makes no sense!!!!!!!

Really delicious food - we got the crab Rangoon, Gyoza, sesame chicken and sweet&sour chicken. We’ve been searching for our go-to Asian food takeout and we’ve definitely found it.

Ordered yesterday 11/21 around 5:30 bought it so my co worker could have breakfast the next day (11/22) and I specifically asked for it to not be spicy and they added jalapeños

Co worker called this morning to ask if she could get it remade and offered to bring the slightly touched food and was told no that I should’ve asked for no jalapeño like-???? Later was called back and told the manager said they couldn’t remake the food

I called in the afternoon to ask about it and letting them know I asked for no spicy and I just want it remade and was said the same thing that I should’ve asked for no jalapenos and that they removed the chili flakes when I said no spicy

Now jalapenos are a spicy vegetable so you’d think it’s implied but whatever
so are chili flakes if I may add

People need to own up to a mistake and apologize

Edit: got a call from the manager today (11/22) at 3:15 and said my co worker can go by later to get her food remade so everything was sorted out thankfully

The worst restaurant ever!!

So I ordered this restaurant on DoorDash and was absolutely blown away by the amazing crab Rangoons! Unfortunately, I don’t have anything good to say about the sesame chicken I got. I don’t know if I just ordered on a bad day, this being my first time ordering from here, but I got the sesame chicken lunch special and it was kind of inedible. Almost every piece of chicken was tough and I couldn’t really eat much of it and ended up throwing it away because of how hard it was to chew. Plus the sauce didn’t really taste like sesame chicken I’m more used to, more like a very savory teriyaki sauce. I WILL be back for those crab rangoons though!! And I won’t judge them for one bad dish because I’m sure they have really good entrees beyond the sesame chicken or maybe it was an off day.

Not horrible, not great. DoorDash order. Weirdest thing was I ordered veggie udon soup & the vegetables were completely raw. I’m talking big chunks of crunchy carrot, broccoli, onion... the broth was so salty. Salmon nigiri had the thinnest pieces of salmon I’ve seen (not cheaper tho). The “veggie” curry puff had only potatoes inside. The spicy tuna bomb & fish cakes were good. I wouldn’t reorder from here. I noticed lot of reviews complain of quality like this & owners only respond to positive comments, so I guess they don’t care? If you want better Asian fusion I recommend Yummy Yummy further south on Broadway.

I do not know how to verbalize how absolutely delicious this food is. I've come here a couple times now and if I could have this everyday I would. If someone says the food isn't good they're wrong. End of story. Like, have you ever had food so good it made you mad? Cause I'm furious at how good this is.

We haven’t ordered from Miso for a while, but we did tonight and something has changed, and not for the better. We ordered 2 noodle dishes and 1 rice dish. All dishes are overcooked/mushy, greasy, and salty and taste like Chinese food (pad woonsen shouldn’t taste anything like lo mein, so my first bite took me by surprise) and nothing like Thai food. We ordered vegetable tempura which is definitely not fried in a tempura batter and is incredibly salty/greasy with the batter falling off in the togo box. Unfortunately, we’re throwing everything away because it’s inedible.

I have been a patron of this place for a long time. Dined in, picked up. No problem what so ever, so I put in an order to be delivered, cost 64 bucks. I get a call from the DoorDash delivery driver saying that the order was for the wrong person but they made him confirm, but my order was not ready at all. I called Miso and they confirmed that the order was to the wrong party, and they did not confirm whether or not my order was ready and then I was disconnected. I called back and told them to cancel my order and I was not going to pay. I see that Miso has charged me for this order when I told them to cancel. Dispute on going!

Everything is hot and fresh. Order here through Uber eats often! Everything I’ve ever gotten has been delicious

I’ve been ordering from this place for several years. And I’ve noticed that past year has been off in service and definitely with the good. Each time I’ve had an issue with the food they never wanted to properly rectify it. They tell me I can have a free appetizer my next order. They refused to refund me or even remake the food. Horrible customer service in my opinion. I have never patronized a restaurant that refused to make a wrong right. The woman over the phone was extremely nice, but the chef, Louis refused to come to the phone or remake my food. I will NEVER patronize this place again. People work hard for their money, and this is how he supports his family. If you cannot respect the people that contribute to your business and how you take care of your family, you do not deserve to have a business in the community. My last day ever buying bad food and receiving horrible customer service from there. They won’t last long! I wish I could give ZERO STARS.

In the last year, the quality of food has gone way down and the prices have increased significantly. This used to be my go-to spot but I can't justify how expensive it is for how little I get. Hopefully another sushi spot opens nearby to give them some competition.

I wanted to like this place but I was really disappointed in the food. The sushi was fine but the vegetable tempura was so greasy from the deep fryer, it was inedible. Also I was charged more for the tempura than the price listed on the menu. The spicy miso soup was also fine but the seaweed in it was gross. I only had the broth and tofu. Bonus: I heard a microwave beep a couple times while I was dining in.

However, the servers were really friendly and welcoming which makes it harder to leave a mediocre review.

Oh my god, lo mein is not supposed to be SWIMMING IN OIL. I could literally drain out the side of my container because it was SO OILY. It got ALL OVER the bags, my blanket, seeped out the packaging, etc. lo mein is pan fried/tossed, it’s not supposed to be saucy or oily. Got bubble tea and they didn’t even include a boba straw so I couldn’t drink it, and when I took it out of the bag it leaked everything. The boba was also stale. My boyfriend paid 8 dollars for egg drop soup in the smallest container that should’ve been 4 dollars TOPS. Even my lo mein was in the smallest container. No takeout is like that!!!!!!! Literally every place I’ve been to when you order soup that’s 8 bucks it comes in a HUGE container. Also pretty sure the veggie egg rolls were frozen. Not even sure this place serves authentic Asian food. Seriously garbage.

Seriously understaffed & everyone regardless of dine-in or pick up got delayed. Not recommended will not dine here again

I am usually not critical of small food places, but respectfully this was just foul. So many bugs. Pad Thai was disgusting and I had to throw it out. We were afraid we would get food poisoning because everything tasted old. Everything is dirty.

First time trying Asian cuisine. Wonderful is the word for it. Fresh to order. Will most definitely visit again!

My boyfriend and I have been going here for over 5 years. The past 4-5 times that we have ordered (a time span of about a few months,) nothing is ever right. The pad see ewe tastes completely different and is always super inconsistent. Today we tried again and it didn’t even taste or look appetizing. He also ordered bbq pork fried rice and got beef, which was over cooked anyways. Sad to leave anything other than a 5 star review but hopefully you guys can fix things. Won’t be ordering for a while

I've always had great experience with Miso Asian kitchen. Their food is delicious especially pad see ew (my favorite). Their customer service is excellent as well, always friendly and if they happen to accidentally forget an item, they will deliver it to you and maybe send an additional item at no charge. 5/5

Don’t order delivery from this restaurant. Waited 45 minutes until after estimated delivery time. For context I only live about a three minute drive away from the restaurant. They need to either hire more drivers or start letting actual Uber drivers deliver their food.

i wish these restaurants had more reliable reviews because holy hell this was inedible. i like trying new places all around chicago and this might be some of the worst sushi i've tried. wasted 80 dollars on this garbage. the rice felt like glue. the fish was starting to get old and smell. the avocado was browning badly. gas station sushi 100%. the edamame look liked it had been pulled out of the trash. the pad thai had rotten tofu in it. like jesus christ what a slap in the face to your customers. if you like this place you have 0 taste, which is ok but it's not ok to be ignorant about it. i'm sure this place will go under so good luck idiots your food is trash. why even open a restaurant?

3 months ago I posted a 5 star review that read: “This has been my favorite place for Asian takeout food for a couple of years. The food is always very delicious and it’s very well priced too. Service is great! What more can you ask for?”
Today I’m updating it to 3 stars and the following message to the new owners: please focus on the actual food you serve and fresh ingredients! I’ve been ordering the pad Thai and the sushi I always did in the past and unfortunately the food has been getting worse and worse. The pad Thai is oilier and the sushi was dry and tasteless. The rice was very hard, seemed old.
The focus has shifted to bigger menus and innovating the look of the place but it damaged the quality of the food.
Sad to say that today has been my last order. I will not return to Miso because I feel I’ve been wasting my money lately…

Went to order in person and it smelled strongly of sewage. I walked right out. I wouldn't eat in a place that smells like garbage.

I am not sure if there are new owners, but I've been coming here for at least 10 years. I get it that people are short staffed, everyone is, which is also why I stood for an extra 30 minutes patiently waiting for my food.
The guy taking the orders, who is new, could not even take a correct name and number, which was said 6 times in the phone call, where we eventually had to go one number at a time and spelling out the entire 3 letters of my name that was once again way too difficult for him. Until one of the owners or management replies and contacts me, I will not be returning.

A friend and I came in right before they were closing and they treated us like royalty! Super welcoming and patient, offered us water and miso soup while we waited and got our ordered ready very quickly!

Getting home we were stoked to see how well everything was packaged and how good the sushi was! $30 filled us both up with enough leftovers for lunch the next day - truly can’t beat this !

Simple, unassuming place with great sushi for the price! I won't pretend this has the best sushi in Chicago. But, they have some really great rolls. Super fast (we always order out - doesn't look like they have many table inside) and you get a free item with orders over $25. Recommend the Chicago roll and the Veggie Dragon.

Miso is my go-to japanese restaurant. I moved out of the neighborhood, but I still come back for their food and great service.

They refused to take my order and demanded a credit card. Had my friend to place the order and had no problems, didn't ask him for a credit card. Is it because I'm African American?
Honestly, the sushi was okay. The spicy crispy rolls weren't spicy enough and more crunchy than meat in the rolls. Pad thai noodles were overcooked but had a good flavor.

Delivery driver refused to enter the building, and all food was so mediocre that we couldn't even finish. This place was amazing a few years ago so I'm not sure what the heck happened, but we've given them multiple chances recently and each has showed us that doing so was a terrible decision.

Quaint little place, more of a order to go spot. the sushi is good for the price. The Soft shell crab and spicy tuna rolls are my favorite. They are quick with service and very friendly staff.

Definitely my preferred sushi and ramen in the local area. It isn't the sort of place where you take pictures of your meal and brag about having eaten there, just a reliable place that delivers good food at fair prices. I've eaten food from here a few times and been satisfied every time. The actual tables and such in the restaurant are nothing special, though - this is definitely a take-away joint.

EDIT: Having eaten here a few more times, I've been underwhelmed by their non-Japanese offerings. Stick to the Japanese items on the menu and you'll be better off.

Great food and really affordable. The Bi Bim Bop is excellent.

Not sure what all the hype is about. We got sushi to-go and it was loaded down with mayo and sauces. After scraping it all off, it tasted like something we could have made ourselves. Cheap prices, but not worth it. Very small restaurant. There is one large table, table for two, and a counter in front of the window. Definitely more for takeout that sit down.

Got the house Miso Asian Kitchen, roast duck pan fried noodles, and steamed dumplings. The noodles in both dishes were definitely the highlight, and while I enjoyed both of them I would definitely recommend the pan fried noodles over the soup. Service was extremely quick and staff was very accommodating. I don't even like dumplings much either but here, I would order them again. They were sizeable with a lot of filling.

Authentic foods, great service. I probably go there a bit too much at this point, but it's so good!

Insanely expensive for what you get. $10 for an eel bowl. Well, i swear it was just two pieces of eel cut even thinner to make 4 pieces. The avocado pieces was thicker than the eel! Flavoring was on the mild side, the rice was overpowering the flavor of the eel. Was really hoping this place was good. I can get a better rice bowl in Downtown for $5.
