I’ve never had Thai food before but I’d thought we’d try something different for my mom’s birthday; it had been about 30 yrs since my parents had Thai lol. Overall, it was delicious & the service was fantastic! I always knew I would love curry but now that I know for sure, I want it on everything! Haha, can’t wait to return! 🍛🤤😋

I have eaten here for over ten years and the food is great. Nice atmosphere inside and outside. I enjoyed my shrimp Panang and the wonderful soup Tom yum gai. Had the coconut ice cream it was delicious. Really pretty inside decor.

I went to the nearest QT for eating utensils and Napkins. After I pumped Gas. I will never go to restaurant THAI EMERALD EVER AGAIN. ever again. There are so many other good Thai Restaurants in the area. Rudeness and Bad customer service will never be okay.

I reviewed this restaurant 3 years ago and gave it 5 stars, we went tonight, and I am lowering it to 2 stars. At our last few visits, the portions were a lot smaller. We both ordered chicken curries. Both of us had very little chicken on our plates. Both the red and green curries lacked flavor. Also the prices have increased for both the food and wine. The atmosphere there is nice if you like subdued lighting like we do. I asked for extra spice. Instead of adding it during cooking, the waiter brought out 2 small bowls of obviously pre-used spices. It was over $85 for our food and wine. It was double the price for the expectation.

I sadly probably won’t be back they have made portions smaller and are charging a lot more including $4 for a fountain drink. Food is usually good at least but was less quality this time.

The chicken in coconut soup was very dry and old. The pad thai had no bean Sprouts, peanuts, or egg...just noodles with a little bit of chicken..even the pad thai sauce was wrong..it tasted like they added vinegar...for $35 ...it was a bust! Will never go back..very disappointed.

Thai Emerald was nice but the food was just ok. We ordered the Amazing Chicken and nightly special (lemongrass chicken with red curry). Both had a good sauce but the chicken was over cooked. The red curry was flavorful but I’m glad I got the “hot” level. Service was very quick for drinks and appetizers but we waited quite a while for our food. However I think the kitchen was overwhelmed because several who can in after us got their food shortly after us with minimal wait. Waitstaff and hostess were very nice and accommodating.

White tablecloths and quiet. Excellent atmosphere. Wine and beer list. The Cashew Nut Chicken (and Emerald Special, which adds pineapple fried rice) are delicious. They do plenty of business through food delivery services as well.

Best Father’s Day restaurant experience ever! Thai Emerald delivered on all 3 of my key eating requirements: food quality; value; and overall enjoyment. I give extra bonus points for the deliciousness and authenticity. I had the Green Curry Grouper with a “hot” level of spiciness. About the equivalent of a fresh grilled jalapeño eaten straight. Nice food with good service!

The food did not meet expectations based on past experience in other Thai restaurants. The chicken pad Thai had hard, dry chicken with gummy noodles; the pad see ew was marginally better. The nearly $30 crispy grouper in green curry was super soggy (why fry at all?) and swimming in a very thin, overly sweet curry with crunchy red peppers. The papaya salad wasn’t even close to anything I’d had before. Truly tasted raw with a lack of blending and sauce. I wanted to like this place based on reviews and proximity, but at nearly $90 for takeout for a family of three, it doesn’t meet the hype.

Just generally “meh.”

The staff is so friendly and accommodating even with high maintenance customers. The food is very fresh and good. You don't feel rushed to get in and get out. Have both indoor and outdoor seating.

What was this? Who’s version of Thai cuisine is this? Beyond disappointed drunken noodle was nothing like it’s supposed be. Talk about kill a craving. The coconut soup was watered down. First and last time!

Have patronized this establishment for about fifteen years and never had a bad experience! Food is always "top-notch." Only thing I find a disappointment is they discontinued serving their Tom Kha soup in the large chafing bowl during COVID and have not offered it since. 🙁

Tried it for the first time for dinner. Our food was very good. The restaurant was very hot and stuffy. I saw the thermostat on the wall said 79° Inside in winter. Not sure if system was broken. Hopefully that was a fluke. I wish it was closer to me for takeout. Would eat there again.

Thai Emerald is a gem and one I stumbled across one night looking for Thai food in Roswell. The flavors are amazing in all of the dishes, the Phanaeng curry is delicious, one of the best I’ve had in Atlanta, second to Thailand. Staff is always welcoming and they are never too busy if you go in the evenings. Highly recommend this restaurant!

So salty and such a bad service place. The soup tasted bad so we asked to replace to spring roll. She refused to replace because we already tasted. How do we suppose to know it bad if we don't taste?
Small plain dark nothing special salty food! Even though we requested less salty it came out very salty!!! Terrible service!

Ambiance and service were great but the food was not authentic or good. The calamari was flavorless and chewy. Pad Kee mao tasted like it had tomato sauce in it and lacked spice. The cashew chicken dish and pineapple fried rice were also not good. We were really looking forward to trying this place because of the amazing reviews but left disappointed.

We were celebrating a 95th birthday and the restaurant let us put some decorations on the tables & bring a cake. There were eleven of us and I loved my minced chicken basil eggplant dish with thai level spiciness. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their meal except my husband who ordered a pad thai dish (he said it had no flavor). Everyone was a vegetarian except my husband and I. I was too hungry and forgot to take pictures of our appetizers and entrees. Sorry, I ate my whole meal...

I’ve eaten Thai food all around Atlanta and Thai Emerald is my favorite. Consistently excellent prepared dishes and wonderful service. The red snapper with light Thai breading over grilled vegetables in an amazing sauce should win an award. All their fish dishes, soups, and noodle dishes are incredible. The pineapple rice with cashew chicken, Omg. This place will never disappoint!

We had lunch here and thought the cashew chicken with pineapple fried rice and the chicken pad thai were very tasty! Really really good! The Tom Kai soup was not what I was used to. So that is why 4 stars instead of 5.

Hands down, the best and most authentic Thai food that is AMAZING. I live in NYC but am from the area and literally every time I come home to visit, this is either stop #1 or 2. The staff is warm and kind. The food is some of the best I’ve ever had - and I’ve been to Thailand half a dozen times.

Must have: Cashew Nut Chicken. To die for and all I usually ever order.

Also has a great outdoor patio for warm evenings.

Love this restaurant! Have dined in and have gotten take out several times. The Thai Green Curry is my favorite. The vegetables are always fresh and never over cooked or soggy. The ambiance inside is surprisingly so intimate and romantic. There are candles on every table and in the nicer evenings, they have a gorgeous outdoor patio with string lights. Definitely a nice option outside of the hustle and bustle of Canton St.

Portions were small and the taste only so-so. For the price, it's not worth it. After eating there, I'm here at 1000 for pizza cause I'm still hungry. Yeah,small portions, at least what I ordered was small.

My family has been going to Thai Emerald for over 15 years. This place never disappoints; the food is amazing and the service is always friendly. You have to try the cashew nut chicken, it is perfectly sweet, spicy and always fresh. We always stop in whenever we are in town.

The portion size for the dinner entree menu is really less. We have had thai food from many restaurants but none had these small portion sizes. It is very expensive at emerald thai for such small portion sizes. The chicken used in satay chicken was very dry and rubbery and the basil fried rice was equally disappointing. Will not be ordering from here again.

I have been to many Thai Restaurants, and by far this place is the best, most flavorful, freshest and most cared for food I have ever eaten. The same faces have been there for the last 15 years, and the food is just as good as the first time I went.

Patio service was nice and well spaced out. Food was good but, not as authentic as we thought it would be. Not very spicy either... most Thai food has a kick. Dried peppers were used instead of fresh which might have an impact. Service was good.

The Thai hot red curry, phenomenal. It wasnt hot enough for me but the waiter told me I coukd get Extra Thai hot. Wish I wouldve kniwn that when zi told him I like it super hot when I ordered

Went today with my family, the receiptionist is only interested in greeting specific customers. I went with my parents and family today. They dont even smile/greet the customers.

We ordered some basic thai appetizers like chicken satay etc. it took 30 mins for them to bring them out. Guess what the soup and appetizers both were cold. The soup was buried with mushrooms felt like it was mushroom soup and tom yum.

We asked for appetizer plates, those were not brought out, the entrees arrived. They were average tasting. I would not visit again. There are better tasting thai restaurants in the area.

This place is extremely mediocre, and I'm shocked at how many positive reviews there are on here. I'll just assume that others who rate this place highly have not had good, flavorful Thai food. No one that's an actual food critic or has had legitimate Thai food would EVER rate this place 5 stars. The Tom Kha soup was watered down and absolutely tasteless, and every single item tasted like it was missing an ingredient. They're also stingy with their portions, and their prices are ridiculous for what you get -- $85 for a two person takeout order with no leftovers. Try Erawan then rate this place... Not even close.

My husband and I just had a wonderful dinner here! The outside seating area is so nice and quiet, despite the road being close by. With all of the plants surrounding you, you hardly notice. The food and service were absolutely excellent. Serving sizes were just right, and the taste was amazing! We will be back!

Love everything we’ve ever ordered at Thai Emerald. Love anything with their hot garlic sauce on it - especially soft shell crab or grouper! Three flavor salmon is excellent as are the basil rolls!!! And mango sticky rice is yummy!

I understand running long ticket times because you haven’t been open for dine in and it’s Mother’s Day, but I placed my order to go by phone at 5:35pm and it’s now 6:49pm and still waiting.
Don’t quote 40 minutes and then miss the mark by over 50%. I know you don’t want to turn away business today or say anything that might prevent someone from ordering, but this is poor form. I will, in the future, wait to add the tip until after I receive the food, not while placing the order

Finally have the order at 7 o’clock. I’m guessing at least some of it is it packed in his bag for 20 minutes while waiting for the rest of the food to finish. I just hope it’s as good as it normally is

I thoroughly enjoy this place, have been here multiple times. Panang curry and Pineapple fried rice are my favorite dishes. I highly recommend you to try those. Other dishes that I liked here are Basil shrimp roll, Pad kee mow, and Masaman curry.
