Went to Ezankaya with friends for dinner, and it did not disappoint! We started with Thai Iced Tea, which was sweet and refreshing. For appetizers, we shared the Crispy Chicken Skin and Fried Golden Needle Mushrooms—both were perfectly crispy and delicious. The Kra Proa Moo Grob with Fried Egg was hearty and filling, while the Crying Tiger Steak, served with Jaew sauce, was packed with flavor. For dessert, we tried the Steamed Pandan Custard with Soft Steamed Bread, Mango Sticky Rice, and Thai Custard—all of which were the perfect sweet finish to our meal. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, making it easy to chat and enjoy our time together. Will definitely be back! :-)

Everything we had was delicious! It’s all being cooked fresh, so everything just came out as it was ready and the timing really worked for us as well, I personally would all rather have my food fresh!

I thought I had Thai food before but this is a Thai family run restaurant with authentic dishes. Eeverything from drinks, appetizers, main dishes to desserts were soooo good. My favorite were definitely the papaya salad, crispy pork and the Thai curry with noodles. Highly recommend 10/10!!!

They are very new and it took a bit for our large group of 18 to all be served. It was well worth the wait for an absolutely fabulous meal.

The flavor pops experienced here will bring you back again and again. The staff is helpful, friendly and efficient and the atmosphere is cizy but fascinating.

Such a beautifully decorated spot! We had the pork belly salad and it was one of the best dishes we've every tasted. Crispy, tender pork, with a bright zing of lime and fish sauce, topped with mint and cabbage. The khao soi with chicken was so good. Aromatic, deeply warming, with the chicken falling off the bone. You can tell they have a real commitment to their ingredients.

The server was so nice and we can't wait to return. Please support them so we can all be transported to Thailand!

Delicious, flavorful thai food with great service, cute decor, and a BYOB policy. We got the spicy sour and sweet steamed squid, crying tiger, som tum thai, zapp heng, and panang chicken curry. Highly recommend the zapp heng--delectable, soft, and fatty pork rib cooked in a sauce I can't stop thinking about the next day. The chicken in the panang curry was a bit tough and didn't stand up to the quality of the other dishes. The service was friendly and helpful. They even brought milk for one of us who was struggling with the spice level.

They were able to provide vegan options for dishes as well.

Highly recommend checking out this place if you are looking for good thai food in the city.

Delicious food, friendly staff and eclectic ambiance. So often, Thai places are too brightly lit and lacking in a cool vibe I guess? This place has low lighting and fun decor. I Ordered Pad See Ew with tofu, tempura shrimp maki roll and at $25 - they offered a choice of freebie - veggie egg roll was great. You can tell they use fresh ingredients. Excited to head back for a winter happy hour soon. Welcome to Rogers Park, Ezankaya!

My teenage children, partner and I loved this new restaurant. The ambiance was fun, the service was attentive, and the food was yummy and affordable. Especially love the papaya salad (spicy!) and their house special pork dish. Thai fried rice was also great and they happily made it vegetarian (and took out eggs) for us. Also loved the homemade deserts! Cake was soooo good. We will go back and my son also can’t wait to bring his girlfriend here on a date.

Loved the creative vibe, loved the food, which is northeastern region of Thailand. Delicious combination of flavors. Definitely delicious and distinctive.

We ordered crab Rangoon, chicken wontons, chicken karaage, the chicken gyoza, salmon teriyaki, steamed veggies, Thai ping chicken breast and chicken thigh skewers, a fried egg, Thai iced tea, Thai iced tea ice cream, and coconut ice cream. i know- a lot. We were excited to try the new spot and Ezankaya did not disappoint! Everything was really tasty with yummy sauces to compliment some of the dishes. And the service??? BABYYYY the staff are all so attentive- without being overbearing- and welcoming. The only notes would be the rice and ice cream. Granted its white rice, but i felt it could use a dash of salt or something. The ice-cream was delicious, but not as creamy as i would have hoped. Loved the addition of peanuts to the coconut ice-cream! great food, atmosphere, and service. Highly recommend.
