I recently had the pleasure of dining at Indie Sushi Nouveau Asian, and I must say it was a great experience from start to finish. The atmosphere is welcoming, you can dress casually or opt for a more upscale look—making it a great spot for any occasion. The restaurant itself is nice and clean.
Staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring that our needs were met throughout the meal without feeling rushed. As for the food, I had the Drunken Udon with seafood and it was delicious. Balancing great flavors with noodles having the perfect chewy texture. The sushi is also incredibly fresh, and you can tell it’s made with high-quality ingredients.
The drink selection is reasonably priced, which was a pleasant surprise. I'd highly recommend the Ginger Meron, It’s refreshing and not overly sweet a definite must try!
Overall, I can’t recommend Indie Sushi Nouveau Asian enough. Whether you're in the mood for a casual bite or a special night out, this spot delivers top-notch food, great service, and a cozy yet stylish atmosphere.
Your response clearly deflects from the main issue here, which is poor customer service. Instead of addressing the real concern, you’re making an assumption about personal issues. This kind of attitude speaks volumes about how you handle feedback, and it’s disappointing to see a business dismissing valid concerns by labeling them as personal conflicts. As a driver, I deserve the same respect and quality service as any other customer, and your attempt to shift the blame is both unprofessional and degrading. All customers, regardless of their role, deserve better.
I had a terrible experience at this restaurant today. The waitress, whose name I couldn't catch, was incredibly rude, condescending, and unwelcoming. She clearly doesn't know how to treat customers. The whole atmosphere was uncomfortable, and the employees seemed to just be staring. That waitress definitely needs better training or should be replaced. I won't be coming back.
Such a great experience!
What an amazing night from start to finish.
I dined in on a Sunday evening after 5pm and I must say perfect timing - the location wasn’t super busy.
The space was warm and inviting in addition to being very clean.
The mood was definitely set with the lovely aesthetic.

Thank you for a great evening and definitely returning soon.
Amazing hidden gem for sushi & drinks 😁 the environment has very nice relaxed atmosphere great for a casual date but can be elevated if you visit at night. There are so many options I have yet to try! Everything is prepared with beautiful presentation and tastes fantastic. The art on the walls will definitely spark conversation and the staff is very friendly & knowledgeable if you have any questions.
This place is really nice. The food is very reasonably priced, everything on the menu is delicious, and the people who work there are super pleasant. Love having this place in our neighborhood.
I came in just as the restaurant was closing, and I was given 15 minutes to order before the kitchen closed which I did do. The heavyset waitress was very rude about this though. I tried to order a single piece of sushi which literally takes seconds to prepare just a minute before the kitchen closed, and was very rudely denied this reasonable request. The food is always good here but this particular waitress has no customer service skills.
We had a fantastic dinner at Indy Café last night! My husband, a friend, and I started with the Grilled Chicken Sauté and Crab Rangoon, both of which were absolutely delicious. The Crab Rangoon was particularly impressive—unique and bursting with flavor.
For sushi, we tried several of their signature maki rolls, including La Fiesta, Mexico City, Sex on the Moon, and Devil. Every roll was perfectly crafted, fresh, and incredibly tasty. The quality of the food exceeded our expectations, and the pricing was right in line with what you'd expect at a nice sushi restaurant.
The atmosphere was lovely—inviting and cozy, perfect for a relaxed evening out. A special shoutout to our server, who was amazing! She was attentive and ensured everything was correct despite being the only server managing a very busy evening. It did take a bit longer to get our drinks, but given the circumstances, it was understandable. However, for her sake, they really should’ve had additional staff on hand to help out.
Overall, Indy Café is a gem for sushi lovers, and we’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Just saying that for the prices which have skyrocketed, I wish the food would live up to the hype. I know everyone wants us to support local, but for almost $100 for two people for delivery, I find to be a bit out of control. Looks like it will be awhile before using them again. Better options out there for the price.

Someone on Reddit said this was some of the best curry in the city so I went to investigate. They were right. The katsu panang was so delicious. I will be back…
This is my most favorite Thai&Sushi restaurant in Chicago...
Great food! Wish the ppl servicing would be more friendly!
But food is great!
The food is always great!
Mia is amazing and efficient. I appreciate her warm welcoming attitude. I love this restaurant and will be returning every chance I get 😋
Aside from the Indie Signature Mässaman(fantastic!), I make a point to stop in and order is due to Maya Ignatova. Her positivity, customer service, attention to detail and consistency is, honestly, the reason I continue to spend money here, rather than elsewhere...also did I mention the Indie Signature Mässaman?
Really nice Thai cuisine very flavorful
Best sushi in town ;) love it ;)
“The best sushi and Thai food I’ve ever had! Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced dishes. The sushi was incredibly fresh, and the Thai food was packed with authentic spices. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying meal!”
Top notch pad Thai and sushi, some of the best crab Rangoon I've ever had. Nice urban vibe, great bar and service
Service is very slow
The waitresses look miserable and I wonder why. I went to Indie after years I've been away and the food was alright, but overpriced. $7-9 for three Costco shrimp? C'mon, that's wild. Each make had five pieces with barely any flavor. And they were room temp. Um, what? They had our sushi sitting out for at least 20 minutes before they served it to us. For these prices, they should already know how to perform "made-to-order" and time it correctly. Then, as they serviced the sushi, the server knocked over the salad bowl and walked away. And then to top it all off, I undercut the tip for this bad service. Our waitress has the AUDACITY to come over and ask me why I did that and give me attitude. Right as I was about to tell her, she walked away scared. Excuse me? Yea, no. I'm never going back to this place again. The food was okay, but I've had better flavor and service in a hole-in-the-wall in Chinatown. They clearly don't want my business, so I'll take it elsewhere.
We made online reservation for 8 people however when we arrived the waitress try to convince me that she haven't received the reservation.I told her that if she cannot accommodate us we can go to a different place(even there was only 1 table in the restaurant which had a guest). She started to telling me to calm down but I was perfectly calm.very very rude lady...food was good but because of service we will never go back.
Worst tempura in my life. Heavily battered and greasy. Noodles were ok
I love Indie Cafe in the Edgewater neighborhood! We had both Thai and Japanese dishes, and everything was delicious. The tuna and salmon sashimi were super fresh and tasted amazing. The signature maki rolls were creative and full of flavor – you can really tell they put effort into making each one special.
The place has a chic and friendly vibe, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal. The staff is really nice and attentive, which adds to the overall great experience.
If you're in the area, definitely check out Indie Cafe. It's a local gem that you’ll want to visit again and again. Highly recommend!

My partner and I went when it was less busy and service was great and food was delicious. Menu has options for everyone.Drinks: Thai ice tea and Virgin mojito. Appetizer: crab rangoons. Main Course: spicy blue crab roll, spicy tuna, V tempura with spicy mayo, and Avo-cucumber roll. Love all the veggie options! Highly recommend.
We sat on the patio. The wooden tables are probably a little better than the round tables for two with a longer legged person.
But the service was great and the food was tasty. The drinks were also very good.
It’s right on Broadway in edgewater. So, there is a hustle and bustle when you sit outside.
Love the vibe. Sushi is great and the rest of the dishes as well. I recommend this place!
super delicious and the service is always great
I often come here for lunch. The lunch specials are really tasty. They offer sushi specials with raw and cooked options. Also cooked meals like pad Thai and basil chicken. I enjoy the Thai iced tea. They are very welcoming to solo diners, which is much appreciated. I recommend the taro custard for dessert. I also have the ramen here, which they will make with rice noodles for gluten-free diners.
Ordered take out here, no meat ramen was inedible , smelled really bad . I couldn't bear to eat it. There were huge blocks of raw tofu and not too much else. I also got egg rolls which were disappointing as well. Crab Rangoon was good .
My son DvD introduced me to this place and I love it!!! 5 star all the way!!!
A great restaurant. I haven't had anything on the menu that I didn't like! This has become my go-to place to eat. It's nicely decorated, staff are nice, and it's affordable. A meal for 2 including beers was only about 50.
Best Thai I’ve had in a really long time
Such a great experience!

Get delivery all the time. It’s great food! The crab Rangoons are small but they are my favorite,
I absolutely love this place. The service is always wonderful, the food is unparalleled, and the atmosphere can be casual, romantic, and bright. It has the best sushi around and going here always lifts my spirits - it’s why I’ve come here for my last two birthdays!

I don’t know how long Indie has been around but I’ve been going since 2001. The food is always spectacular and delicious! Tonight I asked who owned the restaurant. They pointed to a lady sitting in the back of the restaurant. I had no clue. In all my years, she has never visited my table to ask how things were. Doesn’t mean she hasn’t done that for other tables, but I’ve never seen anyone but the servers at my table and those around me. And while I find that odd and somewhat disappointing that she doesn’t care about her patrons in that way to visit, talk, and ask for feedback, I will still always go back because it is always solid. The Bang Bang Shrimp is amazing. The Crab Rangoon is unique and tasty (eat it there, not to go), and the Crispy Chili Heaven is out of this world! So many good things on the menu.
Had the devil and I'm always a fan of fried salmon skin, great drinks and there creme brulee was absolutely perfect to finish the meal, I have it rough during the winters and I ruminate over every word I've said and judge myself on merits of perceived accurate values in comparison to all of the things that can be done in life, but I think I have to accept the seasons of my heart
How have I not left a review for this place?! Indie is our go to Thai spot and has been for years. In fact when I went into labor, I ordered their Crab Rangoon as my final baby-free meal. 🤣 their food is fresh, it’s flavorful and reasonably priced. I love their curries, their pad see-ew, drunken noodles, pretty much all the sushi they make, and of course, the Crab Rangoon. A little bit of hot sake is the perfect thing to go with your meal on a cold night. The owners have been hustling and expanding this place for many years and I’m so glad I live close! We love Indie!!
Been here a couple times it’s a below average restaurant. will not be coming back. Although the only thing worth getting is the spicy miso soup.
Indie is one of my favorite Asian Restaurants. Great food at reasonable prices. The staff especially Mia are wonderful. Try Indie once and you will become a regular. Enjoy.
I've been here multiple times and it never disappoints
Indie Cafe on Broadway is a neighborhood jewel. Not only is the food delicious the prices are great. We had a noodle bowl with rice noodles which was tasty and filled with veggies and shrimp. The California rolls were also delicious.
Service was excellent, and atmosphere is nice, with beautifully weird art on the wall. The food was just so-so. I had veggie gyoza, and they were ice cold in the middle when they were served. The veggie ramen was also not very hot, and just average.
Honestly this might be my fav Thai in Chicago. The massaman curry is sooo good. I feel like Indie uses more coconut milk than most places? Tonight I tried the sushi for the first time and the seared salmon did not disappoint. All the ingredients seem a notch above. I’ve only ever taken out, never dined in, but service has been friendly. It’s a tad on the pricey side but for the quality I’ll spring for it.
The portions aren't very big. The chicken teriyaki was burned and pretty bland due to the lack of sauce. Overall I probably wouldn't order again as I was expecting more for the $18 plate.
Ordered delivery twice now with great success both times. Food was lrepared quickly and everything was piping hot. The food overall was very tasty. Really liked the Khao soi (norther style curry dish). Would love an opportunity to eat at the restaurant!
Love their food, always fresh tasting.
Friendly staff food quality and portions were excellent
We're a Thai family living outside-Thailand and on a vacation in Chicago for two weeks. As we were dying for Pad Thai and Pad See eew, our usual comfort foods while on the go, Indie Cafe in Edgewater did not disappoint us. An easy hang-out in the neigborhood, the unpretentious atmosphere with local Chicagoan-touch comforted the far-away-from-home family like ours.
I have been going to Indie Cafe for years and I have to respond to a review that I just saw. In my 7 years of going to that restaurant I have never had a bad experience in that restaurant, with the wait staff or the food. Of all Thai restaurants I eat in the city, Indie Cafe is in the top three of all of Thai restaurants in Chicago. The food, the service and the atmosphere is all top notch. Being in the center of Edgewater, the restaurant reflects the neighborhood in the people who frequent this Cafe. The comment I read the people who own Indie Cafe or the people work there is racist(which is a strong statement) couldn’t be farther from the truth.they welcome all walks of life because the live and work in that neighborhood. I highly recommend Indie Cafe to any person who ask me about the best Thai restaurants in Chicago
Fresh and delicious as always.
Indie cafe is the best Asian food at Broadway street.
Great food, drinks and good service.
No complains related to taste, quality, quantity of the food, It was really yummy! Variety of dishes, fresh ingredients. Both Sushi and Thai food so fantastic Good sized portions but not overdone.
They also have Lunch special on weekday I will go try next time.
Bubble tea flavor was great and yummy
Overall an amazing experience.
I have been going to this restaurant for years and took so many of my friends from other states and countries. I have never had a problem since today. I haven't been there a lot since covid, but today I decided to take my little family and a friend of ours from out of town to try out their sushi. When we walked into the restaurant the servers were so unwelcoming and so cold. But we decided to sit anyways because we were hungry. We ordered our food and we're waiting. Our little one who just turned two was a little fuzzy for a few seconds but I gave her my phone and she stopped right away but the servers seem to have a problem with it. Our food got there so fast. And not even 10 minutes later one of the servers decided to come by and tell us to finish up because they were expecting some customers to show up. This was around 5pm with 2 tables with two people and 1 table with 1 person who had no problem with our baby making a noise for less than 20 seconds. In short we were rushed to pay and take our food to go. And they had the audacity to put gratuity on my bills. I have never been so embarrassed in my whole life in front of my friends at a restaurant. If you are brown and black stay AWAY from this restaurant. They DON'T WANT YOUR MONEY!!! By far the most racist rude restaurant employees in Chicago.
Great sushi and pad Thai. I stop in here often to pick up dinner.
If I can give them 0 I will, I came here for lunch, the tone was rude, brought veggie rolls and no plates keep in mind not busy at all, this is at 1:47.
I can’t see the reply from the restaurant. However would like to reply class 101 of business serve the customer per them hence start asking for plates if they need it or not as any other restaurant does, plus you are just not serving Thai demo you are in United States where diversity is 101 of business again, hence everyone calls spring rolls your fried rolls, as far as refunding the money we never asked to refund.
I used to come to this place, & after coming today, I’ll never be back again. The service was horrible, along with the sushi. Absolutely tasteless, I ordered Cali roll and a Mexican City. No flavor to either of them, & the ginger drink I ordered, tasted like nothing at all. I was so hungry so I just ate the sushi, and I told the waitress I didn’t like the drink, & she just made a noise with her nose and walked away. When I asked for the bill, the drink was still on a there, and I told her I didn’t like the drink, and she very rudely, and like a child, said “ Well you ordered it”. I have never been talked to like that, & I couldn’t believe her attitude. She’s was very young. When she came back with the bill, I asked her how long she had been serving, after asking if the owners changed ( because the food was awful ) . She replied she’s been there for a year and then asked me if I had a problem with her, she’s never got a complaint before, and to tell her what was wrong, bc she didn’t do anything wrong, which she repeated several times. I told her she can figure it out on her own. Very unprofessional, and I’m extremely disappointed in my experience, & I want a full refund, because the food was awful, but because I was hungry I just ate it and drowned it in soy sauce.
Food was excellent.
Best Mongolian beef I've ever had. Shrimp shumai fried was really good. Friends garlic chicken good. Good cocktail.
Best sushi place in Uptown. Nice ambiance, the 🍣 are to dye for.
The Asian waiter is horrible.
She's the most rude I have ever seen.
She's not qualify to work in a nice place like this.
She's got blond hair asian age 22-34
This place is a vibe and our meal was incredibly flavorful. Will go again.
Food is consistently good fresh and well prepared. We go there once or twice a month. If it's busy you will wait quite a bit for your food, but It always comes warm and or fresh whatever you ordered. Prices are fair considering how crazy prices got post covid I would say they are reasonable. Servers are pleasant if there was an option of half stars I would had done 3.5 on the food and atmosphere nothing wrong with the place, but 4 stars is not. I have been to hundreds of restaurants throughout my adult life and I know what 4 stars restaurants are. Place is clean a d bathrooms too. Bathrooms to me tell you what kind of restaurant is and what kind of kitchen they have.
Great service and pretty decent ramen.
Extremely inconsistent quality and service. Maybe dine-in is better, but carry out needs work. Dishes aren't prepared the same way twice, you might get the wrong sushi roll, the host seems irritated to be there. I love that it's close to home, but everything else about it is meh. Disappointing.
One of our neighborhood favorites. Always prompt service and great food!
Spicy miso soup and sushi were some of the best I've ever had. The presentation of the food was beautiful and everything was delicious from the Indie Signature Curry to the Crocodile roll. The staff was quick, efficient and friendly. Will definitely be back.
The sushi was good, but the Ramen bowls were even better. Great place for the pricepoint. Saki was delicious
Really enjoyed my first visit. Miso soup was especially flavorful and freshly made in house. Good staff. Comfortable seating
Delicious sushi that could use a bit more skill in preparation. Uneven slices, rolls that fall apart when you pick them up, sloppy to-go presentation. The Beef Asparagus was tasty, if extremely fatty and poorly butchered. A little more care and this would be a 5-star place.
Best sushi in Chicago! Great service and the crab rangoons are the best you'll ever find.
Great food, service, accommodation. Mya was able to seat a party of seven late in the New Years Eve when another restaurant lost our reservation. The Indie presented us with an excellent dining experience.
The maki roll was so tasty and fresh and the fried rice was so flavourful. We also enjoyed our appetizers and even the green tea tasted good everybody was kind and I would definitely go back there again.
This neighborhood spot is a gem. We love it.
BYOB or order drinks and wine there. The crab Rangoon is a warm pocket of goodness. Samosas are delish. Massaman curry with pot roast is my go to order. So flavorful and delicious. Pad thai is excellent, too. We've done sushi rolls as well. Fish is fresh, rolls are tasty and creative. They deliver too, with the same quality and consistency in the food as dine in.
The menu at this pan-Asian restaurant is enormous, with numerous Japanese, Thai and other Asian dishes. If you're going to a restaurant with a group, everyone is quite likely to find something to their liking. We order takeout from there as well as dine - in.
Haven't been disappointed yet.
I love everything they serve. Sushi, fried rice, curry. I haven't had anything I didn't like. I really love the Taro. Yummy!
Honestly didn't really know this place existed until a friend took me here for dinner. The food was delicious and not super pricey either.
They have good gluten free options. Food is consistent in quality.
The staff and food were excellent! Some of the best sushi around Chicago. I recommend the almond monkey roll. The only reason for the three stars regarding the atmosphere was because it felt a little crowded navigating around the sushi bar in the center of the restaurant to get to my table, and the artwork I find a little creepy yet compelling. But that's my opinion! Please come, eat, and form your own. Great place.
Lunch was good today. I LOVE their spicy miso soup!!! Highly recommend!
I also ordered asparagus tempura, which is usually smaller bited but was massive maki size this time...of which, I do not prefer (sorry...I have a small mouth, I guess).
My friend had the Tom Ka (sp.) soup and LOVED it. But, she ended up not feeling well because of her shrimp tempura appetizer. The shrimp was minced and was incredibly too greasy.
The service here is hit or miss. There's usually one server who clearly HATES her job. Honestly, it probably wouldn't be so bad for her if she would just supply more than 3 drops of soy sauce/peanut sauce for maki and/or spring rolls. Also, an extra napkin might be beneficial to her awful work shift.
But, again...that spicy miso and Tom Ka soups are ON POINT!
Dined in with my fiancé and service was the worst I’ve experienced here. We were seated, however no one came over to take our order until about 15 mins in. When our food came out it was placed on a countertop where the waitress left it for about an additional 20 mins before realizing it was our order, which at that point she tried to serve it to us. When we brought it to the waitress attention she got an attitude with us and just walked off. At that point she didn’t come back to our table. There were also other diners that either complain about service or simply walked out due to bad service. They were very unorganized and all over the place. Notified management of the issue and she brush it off as no big deal. We will not go back to this place. Very disappointing.
Huge menu! So many selections, varied dishes. My family and I had a delicious meal. Reasonable prices too! Service was friendly and welcoming. They offered outdoor dining as well. We'll definitely be coming back.
This place should be WELL KNOWN FOR NOT BEING CHILD/BABY FRIENDLY.
I was sat and given a highchair as requested. My child is a happy 8m old boy. He makes noise. He was excited about the lights so he made more noise. I’m not going to quite my child’s happiness down to appease others. It’s not my fault that people are triggered w a happy baby! Most people are happy when they see my child but I was asked to move. I tried to ask why and was given an excuse that was obviously not the REAL ISSUE. Then when I said it was fine, I didn’t need to dine there and spend my money there, the woman tried to say she was sorry. If you didn’t want me at that table, you should have sat me at a different table in the first place!
I am breast feeding and running low on blood sugar. I have postpartum depression/anxiety and social anxiety. It took me a lot just to come
Into sit down and eat in public! I already have anxiety and I don’t need to be treated like my son is an issue. It’s not my fault that you or your patrons are triggered by a happy baby!
I did not feel welcome at all!
Service was good, appetizers were good, the entree was underwhelming.
Love this place. The food is excellent, great customer service, neat ambience and always consistent. Great price for high-quality food!
Service was fine. Outdoor patio is quaint. Sushi roll portions were ridiculously small - at least for the vegan options. Not worth the money. Barely any flavor.
Very good food
Absolutely delicious (try basil fried rice, pad thai, any of the drinks, crab rangoon!) but the service is pretty abysmal. We were ignored for 20-min intervals.
The hostess was so rude and impatient today
Ten years I've lived in the neighborhood and keep giving this place another try. If the order isn't wrong, then the food is okay. Not great, but fine. Tonight was the last time though. I walked in around 9:10 pm and asked the hostess to sit inside. She rolled her eyes and said that the kitchen closed in 15-20 min. I said that's fine and she got increasingly agitated. She asked where I wanted to sit and I repeated that I'd like to sit inside and next to the window. She threw up her arms and said, "Fine! Whatever!" as she walked away. I asked her if there was a problem and without turning to face me said, "NO!". With that I decided to spend my money elsewhere. While I am pleased to see neighborhood businesses thrive in these difficult times, I will be looking elsewhere for my Thai and sushi.
Highly recommend visiting this place for lunch or dinner good service good atmosphere all around on the Blessed Place in Chicago to get sushi
Steady service and I've never had a bad meal at this restaurant. Very laid back atmosphere.
for the appetizer i got the chicken gyoza and they were very good for the drink i got thai tea, it is sweet but then has a flavor of nutmeg i was shocked but i like it a lot and for the main course i got drunken noodles with chicken and the portion are big so i ate half and took the rest home, the service was a bit slow but they were busy but they did manage everything very well. i would recommend if you are in the area
Food service
Excellent food...we had 10 people (4 adults, 6 kids). We ordered gyoza, crab rangoon, orange chicken, pad Thai, ramen, sushi (dragon roll, rainbow roll, avocado roll, california roll), basil chicken, coconut glazed pork and edamame. Food was awesome. We brought home left overs but there wasn't much! Definitely get the gyoza and crab rangoon. They were perfection.
Service wasn't great. The server was friendly, excellent memory, but they got busy after we ordered so she pretty much disappeared. We needed napkins, water refills, and chopsticks but she never came back so we had to get napkins and chopsticks ourselves. They added gratuity to our check which, as a former server I totally understand, but it was extremely generous for the service we received (yes, we paid it and did not argue).
Would definitely eat here again, but just order take out.
If you're looking for a slightly upscale sushi bar in Edgewater, you can officially stop looking. Indie is a great restaurant with excellent food, and plenty of indoor and outdoor dining. I would highly recommend people to visit Indie. And it's important to note that even if you don't like sushi, they have a ton of great noodle dishes!
Good place for sushi lovers. A little bit slow. It took them 40 minutes to prepare sushi.
amazing great for date night loved all of it just know it is a date night restaurant
Food was so so delicious, I go downtown for sushi and this one way much better, going be there once a month , have to try it
We had 2 rolls and one appetizer and the house sake, everything was presented beautifully and tasted really fantastic but it was a little bit pricey the bill was $65.
It’s a solid 8.4/10
I really like the consistency that Indie offers. It’s always the same delicious food. I haven’t had anything here that I didn’t like. The people here are always lovely, and they don’t make you feel rushed. I’m not one to sit around too long so I opt for takeout— which is always perfectly packaged and searing hot.
Great staff, great food! Love the artwork too.
Place was amazing. Sashimi was delicious. If you're in the mood for sushi and Ramen, this is the place. Pricey but good.
Was told this place had a great crab ragoon but it was average at best. Terrible service here. I told the waitress it was our 1st time there, expecting her to suggest something off the menu but she literally just stared at me for 10 seconds. Ok....There was no one in the restaurant except my wife & I when I needed another drink. There was no one to be found. I had to go in the kitchen to get the waitress. When I finished my meal, the waitress asked if I was done. I said yes thinking she would just take my plate. She took my plate & handed me the check.I said we would like to get a dessert. She said, I thought you said you were done & stared at me for another 10 seconds.I didn't know what to say. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
their ramen is delicious. i suggest you try it.
The sushi is wonderful and service is very good.
Sushi was ok, not great. Place was empty.
I went a 2nd time yesterday and parts of the food was cold. I'm wondering if it's not made to order. The potatoes were cold. It was good though but disappointing. I had left overs and heated them up. Service was ok.
The worst customer service ever. Never coming back to this restaurant again.
The food is good but service needs some serious attention. I dined with a female friend who was completely ignored by the waitress to the point that she stood in front of her while asking me what I would have. Another time, a baby screamed the entire time we tried to eat, and after several complaints were lobbied, the management said there was nothing they could do. One patron finally walked up to the mentally absent parents and told them to shut up the kid or leave; they left while staring at their phones. The menus have been replaced with the phone app menu which I hate, but that's just me.
Great food, service could be a little quicker but they were super busy so I’m not going to take any stars off for that.
Great place with great employees!
Indie Cafe is one of my favorite restaurants in Chicago and definitely the best Thai food in the city. I have been coming here for over 10 years. Always amazing food and friendly staff!
Fantabulous establishment!
