First, the restaurant had a terrible odor when we walked in.

Second, I ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen. When it arrived at my table, it wasn’t hot, the noodles on top were slightly dried out, and the soup barely filled half the bowl. I refused to eat it and took it back to the counter, telling them I didn’t want the ramen. They apologized and assured me that I wouldn’t be charged for it. However, when I asked for the check, the server didn’t provide it right away and instead just told me the total was $45. I asked her to print the check, and when she did, I was frustrated to see that the ramen I didn’t eat was still included. When I questioned why I was being charged for it, she awkwardly said she wouldn’t charge me after all, clearly caught in the act of trying to slip it onto the bill. It felt like a sneaky attempt to charge me for something I refused. She eventually fixed the check, and I paid.

Finally, our order took longer to arrive than that of another table that came in after us, yet their food was served much more quickly. I have no idea why.

My girlfriend and I had a phenomenal experience! The service was fast and the food was very flavorful!!! We will be definitely coming back.

Byob is always a plus for my husband and I and this happens to be one of our favorite sushi joints. We only like cooked sushi and the shrimp tempura is our fave here. The surprisingly delicious plate we tried is the Thai fried rice with crab meat, and you have to try it spicy. It is still our number 1 sushi spot.

Service, vibes, foods were all amazing. Do yourself a favor and try the crab rangoon for an app. Hands down the best I’ve ever had.

Good Thai and Sushi place in the neighborhood!

My first time here, walking in I can see presentable atmosphere, was greeted and seated. I don't know what they use to clean their tables was sticky not just one but the next too, even the menu was sticking to table..you can hear when grabbing the menu the stickiness. I couldn't put my arms on table because felt weird, sticky. Our order came shocked on the size of the egg rolls, mini the size of my thumb, the crab ragoon was small not the typical kind you see in other restaurants, small dried, not tasty at all...didn't like it. I had chicken fried rice, looked pretty with carrot decor on top. I started eating...the food was warm, the bottom had cold pieces of chicken. I think was reheated only not freshly made. My boyfriend wasn't happy with his order either. He had Pad see ewe...also carrot decoration on top it, didn't look fresh had no flavor. When I walked to pay at counter my sandals felt stickness on floor too. I definitely will not go there again and don't recommend it.

I am unable to put in a 0 or I would. your company charged $65 when I cancelled the order immediately when realizing it was out of state and still no refund. When I called the lady hung up on me and then would not pick up the calls. Be aware they will charge you for no reason when they did not provide any service. Please stay away

We ordered food from here and everything was excellent. I ordered a couple of sushi rolls which were great and ordered pad woo sen and wife ordered the shrimp poke bowl which both were the best we’ve had from anywhere! Love this place and it’s our next go to for dine-in or ordering. Great job guys!!

The food was good however, for $7.40 + tx for the Thom Yum soup it had: TWO cherub tomatoes and THREE medium sized shrimp…LOTS of mushroom pieces. The food portions are too small for their prices. Won’t order from here again.

Food was disappointing in quality but the entrees were reasonable prices. I think the sushi is overpriced. It’s kind of like mall quality chinese food, with Thai options. They also have dine in specials everyday, and 10% off if you leave a review on yelp.

Great food, had the solo sushi, zuke poke, and teriyaki salmon between the three of us. Service was excellent, atmosphere very chill.

First time. You just never know with restaurants that are sushi/thai etc if sushi are good but this place absolutely gave me one of best chirashi bowls I’ve had. I like that the rice was kept separate and the fish above ice chips to keep them cool. Delicious! On top the miso actually came in this large cup/mug and was quite tasty with enough tofu/sea weed. Clean modern dining with good non annoying music in the background! Server very friendly and attentive. Will come back.

The best Tom Yum soup I've ever had. So flavorful. Sushi had a bone in it. The tables and floor were so sticky.

Service bland, dont feel welcome at all. It feels like shes doing me a favor by taking the order for my food and giving it to me. Ordered garlic entree. It came in a bowl. Chicken bland no flavor. Ofc it doesnt have flavor because the thick “sauce” that supposed to be stir fried with is literally garlic flavored water. Yes garlic flavored water fills half way through the bowl. Stay away from this establishment, we work too hard to hand our food to this mediocre place they call “restaurant” Ruk sushi and thai cuisine is soo much better, didnt go there because they dont open till 4pm on sunday. TRASH!!!!

Everything has changed, curry Crabb Rangoon not terrible but unexpected. I get places change but they might want to update the menu to match. Not happy with our last take out

We were served in this tiny plates we wanted a regular size plates and that was a problem for them I think they dint want us to dirty them , cus kitchen was closing ,save clean plates for next day the persons that we wanted the plates for was the grandfather 92 years old and 2 lady's.

I was referred to this restaurant and ordered pad Thai for take out and was beyond disappointed. I did end up throwing it out because it was flavorless and the chicken was not fresh and had hard pieces I couldn’t chew.

Food tastes great good prices

This was horrible! I mean……I ordered my pad see ew and it tasted like vinegar and soy sauce. Super bitter and sour. Totally was not expecting this at all. Also the veggie egg roll was saturated in oil. No crunch at all but a lot of oil with each bite of the egg roll. I should’ve never cheated on my favorite restaurant. Make sure you stay away from this place.

Man, what a crazy experience, this place must be buying reviews because no way. Came with my mom, got a pad see ewe, it was overcooked so we sent it back, thinking nothing of it. We try to pay and they charge us for the overcooked meal, when we brought it up to the manager they said that since we touched it they're charging us, I said that was unacceptable because it wasn't made right. I tell her I have this meal all the time from them and it wasn't made right this time. She then proceedes to tell me that the next time I come I can't get the pad se ewe, my regular dish. Don't worry, I won't be back, won't get another dollar from me

They also somehow managed to make crab Rangoon sexier than they already were.

Service and presentation was great, food was average . Every plate ordered had carrots! One plate has carrot sticks and had strings of carrots as decorations.

the food is always always absolutely delicious!! straight bussin every time i order. but the only problem is their phone service sucks and getting into contact with the restaurant is nearly impossible. 22 calls and not a single answer, hopefully my food comes to the correct address because the online ordering wouldn’t let me put my correct area code (60641) it kept automatically changing it to (60634). so i tried calling multiple multiple times to ensure my food comes to the right address and if the delivery man could meet me at the front door so i could tip him cash, but i literally cannot get the restaurant to answer

Unfortunately I won't be ordering from here again. Fish cakes were super oily & very fishy. Ate 2 & tossed the other 2. The description for Shrimp & Asparagus didn't say it is deep fried, that was a bummer. Sushi Roll was also fishy. Tom Yum Soup was also super oily & fishy tasting. But the Cheesecake was very good.

Ordered from here mostly looking for a salad option in the neighborhood - and couldn’t resist adding on a few sushi rolls! I was having issues getting the order in on a third party site so I went right to their webpage, which had a 10% off discount too (that more than covered the delivery cost, if that’s something you’re concerned about). But knowing that using their site/ the toast tab checkout gives more of the margin to the restaurant, I think it’s a fair trade off. They also have a picture for every single item on their website if you go that route!

I got the Hands On Salad (mixed greens and seared tuna with wasabi dressing), which was SO GOOD. It was a little light on the greens, but generous with the tuna/avocado and cashews.- kind of more like a poké bowl- and we’ll worth it for the sub $10 price point. The other sushi rolls I had were great as well ( I die for a fresh Philly roll, or as they call it “Japanese Bagel Roll”), and the pictures of the beautiful plating make me excited to dine in next time! Delivery was so fast, my order got to me in 35 min so kudos for that.

I love the sushi from here and I never hand an issue for about 2 years of coming to this place.. I became a frequent customer now with Covid, first I ordered to pick up for a few months then I started to do delivery when work at home became more frequent. Anyways I started ordering about three times a week or four 😬I know, but I love sushi. I like to add cream cheese to my sushi rolls, so when I picked up my order at the restaurant sometimes I got charged extra and sometimes i didn’t. Note that their mobile ordering style doesn’t charge xtra for this. So when I started ordering delivery I expected no cream cheese but they ended up doing it anyways, which was great customer service. But then one day someone from the restaurant called me after I ordered delivery. They asked me if I wanted to leave a tip and I told them, I would at the door. They told me to add it on the card instead over the phone with him because of Covid.. awkward moment tbh😳discussing tips over the phone. So my total was about 20 dollars. I told them ok leave an even 25, cause I mean why is giving a tip at the door an issue now. Anyway, when I received my order, no cream cheese and they added more to their tip. Why not tell me something over the phone when they were asking for a tip, like hey cream cheese is more, do you wanna pay for it or just get the regular as is??? My total ended up being about $28. Like 🤬😑... I tried calling back 2 times but they never answered. I felt targeted by my favorite sushi restaurant. Now I’m in search of a different place.

Ordered sushi platter which was so fresh and good. The manager, Andrew was so accommodating when I picked up my order. I will order again from this restaurant.

Really kind and quick customer service. All employees were wearing masks and the restaurant is socially distanced. Menu is interesting and not overwhelming. Food was incredibly delicious.

Updated: I would go out of my way to come to this location instead of Addison location as the food here is better and so was the service but in the last few months coming here, the service has gotten bad. Cashier is rude, messes up the order, doesn’t give what you ask for then rolls her eyes as if she’s bothered to do her job.

Been here several times, and visited the Addison location once. Both the sushi and Thai menu are delicious. Pad Thai was very flavorful and big portion. This isn't a "Chinese' restaurant as another reviewer whined about.

The food is ok, but the service is subpar. Also, be prepared to wait twice as long as estimated...

Not the most impressive tasting sushi, but hits the spot. Had the phili maki. Very bland tasting.

Best thai food

Takeout from this restaurant smelled like melted plastic. I think they had pre-packaged food lying around in to-go containers that they just microwaved and packed. The containers aren't microwave-safe either and pose a health hazard.

In the interest of our health, we threw the food out and will steer clear of this place in the future.

I really like the taste of the food. I am however not pleased with the amount of protein given on an entree dish. The cashew chicken entree had very few pieces of chicken and the rest was veggies. I just feel if the main component of a dish is “chicken”, then that’s what I want more of. Very delicious nonetheless.

Cheap sushi and maki rolls. Small servings of fish on a large bed of rice. Nothing special but it nice to have when you have a taste for sushi without going to far from the neighborhood. Tables were sticky need to clean them better.

We love Hands-On Thai. We were ecstatic when they opened a second location closer to where we live. Absolutely delicious food. Their menu keeps expanding and never disappoints. It's our first choice when we want Thai food. They have a very nice atmosphere for dining in and a good delivery range. Much more affordable than downtown options and the food is equal or better than any pricier Thai food I've tried in the city.
