Relaxed neighborhood eatery offering an extensive menu of classic & creative sushi & Thai standards.
Decided to stop by here for dinner. Friend their curry and sushi which were pretty good. The curry was advertised to be spicy but I didn’t taste any difference from a regular. Could just be a difference in how they spices it that day. The sushi was also really good albeit a little bit on the bigger side - it was similar in size to kimbap than sushi. Overall a nice experience and the waiter was quite attentive.
Located on Peterson Avenue in West Ridge, which becomes quite congested at times, the location is necessarily ideal. However, once inside, this place feels welcoming and service is very good. Presentation of their food items are also quite impressive. Flavors, however, were inconsistent at best. Ramen noodle in particular reminded of a packet one would purchase at a grocery store. Beef salad, while it looked pretty, was nothing more than sliced flank steak on bed of lettuce. Little more variety of vegetables would have made it so much better. Overall, it is a nice place in an area that could use good restaurants.
Not my first time coming here and they always have great food and service. Place is always empty and nicely decorated. Their food items are great, but their sushi is a bit small and the unagi sauce is a bit too salty. Would recommend the furious Udon and the spicy crispy chicken, so good!
Pride Sushi and Thai is one of my favorite neighborhood restaurants! Their menu offers a variety of different food options that are consistently fresh and delicious. I especially love the different salmon and tuna sushi dishes. The employees provide excellent service. The restaurant is very clean with a relaxed atmosphere. I've been coming here for several years and highly recommended it!
Just tried this small neighborhood sushi place for the first time
Overall very pleased
Decor is almost just right(real brick would be soo much more appealing than wallpaper brick)
The food was satisfying and tasted fresh
We started with Gyoza chicken (fried like potstickers) very tasty
My main was Teriyaki beef, it was appealingly presented. I personally needed more spice so I asked for spicy sauce, with a bit added it was perfect and flavorful
We then had a Philly Maki roll, it was perfect and tasty with smoked salmon
We finished off with the Go Black Hawk Maki plate. It was also satisfying even if the jalapeños seemed to be inconsistent throughout the roll (some pieces very spicy, some not at all)
The service was also friendly, quick and quite adequate
I would recommend this place for a quick bite or even as a date night spot (BYOB)
Everything was really good. The reason for only 4 stars instead of 5 is the fact that I ordered sushi and it wasn't cut all the way through. I'm traveling and in a wheelchair, I bought the sushi so it would be easier to eat on the go. Just made life difficult and killed the experience.
I'm sorry, I've wanted to visit for 1.5 years as I moved into the area. Today, I ordered 2 lunch specials: 1.) Pad Thai w/egg roll - the Pad Thai was a brown gelatinous mess, absolutely no flavor, dried out & shrimp were burnt. (Side: egg rolls okay). 2.) Basil Fried rice w/chicken, again overcooked & dark but, you could taste the basil. The crab Rangoon (side) again was burnt dark brown. What a sad disappointment as my hopes were sooooo high. Good Luck!
Pride has been one of my go-to places for delivery, and I finally got a chance to visit in person. The server was very attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere is nice but not overly formal. It's easy to stop in and have a conversation with your friends over a meal. The food was even better than when I have it delivered. Highly recommend the fire dragon maki if you want a little spicy kick, the crab rangoon for a savory app, and the pad woon sen if you're more in the mood for a noodle dish.
Excellent food and taste. Highly recommend.
The sesame chicken is to die for.

Great food, incredibly rude and disrespectful staff. You'd think a place called pride wouldn't repeatedly misgender you despite asking them not too
Despite it's name my partner was repeatedly misgendered by staff even after she asked them to stop

The sushi was good but the pad see-ewe was mediocre, at best, and the pad Thai was inedible... took 2 bites and threw out the rest inedible.
Also, I got the house salad as a side and it was just a small container of lettuce.
Very slow at their work
That day, our ❤️💒 members, 3 of us 💕sisters In🤍Christ 🤍went there, my first time, my 2 other sisters, may have been there before, I love Chinese food, especially the rice egg foo yung with beef , it was spi-cy🥵but very delicious 😋 ☺️ but most importantly, we as believers of the ❤️Bible ❤️we go out at times to evangelize, meaning help bring more ❤️people to God’s Word 🙏🏼Thank You! For letting me add this

The food was very fresh and delicious. There was a party here and despite that the service was impeccable. We order from here for delivery all the time and that never disappoints either.

Get teriyaki beef, the crab rangoon is absolutely delicious and the veggie eggrolls are yummy. Would highly recommend.
The food is outstanding and the service is 2nd to none.
Very bland food. We got the pad Thai and drunken noodles
My favorite Thai spot on the North Side! Their fried rice is addicting and I'll never stop enjoying their California rolls. If I could eat at one Thai restaurant for the rest of my life, it would be Pride!

Great neighborhood spot with friendly service.
Pride Sushi and Thai is AMAZING!
I've been ordering from Pride for many years, and they have never disappointed. Their food is always great, and their service is phenomenal. Super fast delivery every time, and consistently friendly and professional delivery drivers.
For quick and consistently good sushi, Pride can't be beat. Looking forward to my next order from this wonderfully well-run establishment!
Great food!
I have been eating here for years always on point.
It's an awesome place! The food (especially the maki rolls) is great and the staff are so sweet and accommodating. Everything about this place is relaxing and cute. They did a dragon design on my Godzilla roll's plate with sauce, which was beautiful. Will definitely be coming back.
We always go here and live around the neighborhood. Our son is special needs and they don’t let us in with our small service dog even though he has service collar. They argue with us every single time we walk inside. We can’t just carry papers every time. They don’t trust and Not recommended
Amazing Panang curry and very interesting sushi presentation.
The wait staff want you to go away so they can take care of the take out business. I have been going here for years. Mostly take out and lunch. I walked in at 7pm was told to sit anywhere. Only 2 other tables had dinners. Everyone was in the kitchen. After 10 min I had to call the waitress over. 15 minutes later another person came out with both my appetizer and main dish
very rudly through it on the table and walked away. They didn't say here is your food now get out. But they acted like it.
Terrible customer service and bad food... I got very sick, explosive diarrhea and stomach cramps after eating this food. The worst thing is when I called they didn't care... I would never go to this place again. I got food poisoning when eating a delivery order. They told me not possible.. takes three days to get food poisoning... Not true. I recommend finding a different place for Thai food.
We always went here, but the last time everything was ⭐️⭐️⭐️. Yes, the food was delicious, but we were greeted as if we had arrived at the wrong time. Then they brought us water with ice, ice which we didn’t ask for, because the room was not so warm, we had to drink ice-cold water. I closed my eyes to everything, but while eating the shrimp, I discovered fried... This…
no tip today
Great little place for sushi and Asian food. We will come back.
I was there yesterday for bubble tea, it was very good. The little Hispanic girl who prepared and gave the bubble tea to me was very sweet and polite. God bless her .
So yummy! Great pad Thai and cucumber salad! Excellent service. Cozy atmosphere.
I ordered the Hawaiian fried rice and the food was okay but the lady acted like I couldn’t get a side of hot sauce . Tried to lie and say they don’t have any then the chef came out with some hot sauce like what’s the big deal ? Rude and unprofessional
I regularly get delivery from here and it’s some of my favorite delivery I get. All the food I’ve tried is amazing, but their fried tofu is the best in the area. Love the tuna poke appetizer with chips!
Very rude staff! It was 8:15when we walked in they usually close at 9. We are regularly Customer. We asked if they are open since they did not welcome us the waitress said for dining? And looked at the time on her phone then the other staff said yes we are open. She served the food without any plates so we asked for it! She was cleaning the restaurant while we were eating! She turned off the music quickly when we were about to leave. If you don’t want to receive customers after 8 close at 8 not at 9. Very unprofessional. The other staff were nice
I was in the area and decided to try this place for a solo lunch before my hour long drive back home — really glad I did bc this place was so good! I ordered an ebi roll since I’m pregnant and can’t have any raw sushi, and a pad thai. Everything was full of flavor and the presentation was so pretty!
If I’m ever in the area again, I will definitely visit again.
Best sushi in Chicago! We have tried many places but we always go back. Whatever they make is delicious. Best PadThai, Tom Yum, All About Salmon and of course salmon sunrise! No other sushi restaurants are comparable to Pride. One love!

Great atmosphere, but food is so expensive.
Love to take advantage of their weekday lunch specials 😋
Really fresh sashimi and creative rolls. There are a few specialty rolls that are deep fried and they were surprisingly delicious. The servers are so sweet. The smoothies (and bubble teas) are freshly made in house and are super refreshing. It's BYOB. My family and I had a great time and a wonderful dinner.
Food was so good
The food was awesome!
Good food just don't use the bathroom they have need a good cleaning.
Honestly, best place I have gotten sushi in a whileee!! It's close to home and I love that! The servers were all kind and welcoming. (Good looking as well haha)
I ordered the caterpillar, pride, and edamame, gyozas, and ramen! Omg the taste was✨️ IMMACULATE ✨️
JUST LOOK AT THE PICTURES!!! Do yourself a favor and visit this restaurant soon!
Best pad see ew in the country!
I feel like this might be my new fav. Pad Thai is really a notch above. Not too sweet, not too tangy. The green curry is super good too.
I ordered PadThai . It has no taste and kind of stale . I will not recommend Pad Thai from this restaurant. Not a good experience. I will never order food from this place.
My wife and I have been ordering pride sushi on a fairly regular basis since we moved to the area in 2018 amongst the many delights that stant out to us, we love their speed, prices per roll (our go to is the spicy salmon maki. They don't grind it up! It's cuts of fish!) And everyone is super friendly here. It will be a staple in our lives forever. Thanks Pride Sushi and Thai!
Love it however..
I've been coming here for 2 years and I love it however I got take out today and it was super empty, idk if they give less when u take away but it was not as much as I usually get. I got the entree and the amount if noodles was half what I usually get.
Love this place. Always spot on delish!
I'm your neighbor living in Fairfield ave, I should get member 50% discount for your restaurant, i always love to eat your godzilla sushi,
Fresh sushi and very clean area!
Very cold, heating system was not working.
Good
I wanted my fish to be some what done. The fish was so slimy and pink. I’m use to cook tuna with my fried rolls. I specifically called the restaurant & told them how I wanted my roll to be cooked. It was not what I expected. The slices were suppose to be bite size as well.
Some dishes were good but others not so much. Pad thai not so much. Appetizers were good. Especially crab Rangoon.
The staff was very friendly! We got the dragon, ginger, and spicy tuna roll. They were all delicious! The pad Thai was a little disappointing. I feel like the amount of poke we got was not worth the $9, but the rest of the food was delicious
Five stars for my neighbors of 20 years. Only second time eating at Pride. Sushi was good and Thai fried rice was phenomenal
The Spicy Ramen is my favorite. Warm spicy and comforting. Polite and fast service a plus if dining with small ones.
The portions were amazing! The pad that I ordered was divine. The sunshine roll is delicious! Will return in the near future
My daughter and I LOVE this place, it's our go-to for sushi. I've gotten delivery from here many times and love their pad see ew but only recently did we start going there for dine in. We like to go during the week for lunch if we can - they have a great lunch special for sushi and entrees. The green tea with boba is great but I will note that we thought it was going to be iced tea with boba and it's actually a blended green tea drink. Also it does have milk in it which isn't specified on the menu which just means I won't get to steal sips from my kid anymore as I don't drink milk. But other than that we've had the tofu app which is great and we love the miso soup, california rolls, avocado rolls, and the sweet potato rolls.
Just tried this small neighborhood sushi place for the first time

I'm sorry to say my experience was not good it was bland and burnt pad thai 😕 sushi when we go is good but I ordered everything else not worth it honestly , I called to ask why my drink was only half way full the lady's response was u paid for drink with ice we just took it 😅 out could do much better
Ticks the box for Asian food craving. Friendly staff. Reasonable prices.
Food was great!
We had just come in from a cross country drive. We were exhausted and hungry but tired of eating garbage fast food. I was so pleased with everything. The service was just delightful. The young lady was a fantastic hostess and server. The Tom Kha is also a fantastic bargain. So delicious and satisfying. Overall, a great choice for dinner.
Pad sea ew and pad thai. Goza. Great Thai food.
Awesome pad Thai and sushi as well as crab rangoon
Fried rice tasted like burnt oil. We got a basil fried rice and a curry fried rice. the curry fried rice wasn’t flavorful, it was quite bland. Other dishes ordered at our table included pad see ewe and pad Thai. 2 ppl needed vegan options and the waiter seemed to be knowledgeable about what was vegan on the menu. [(Apparently, there are no vegan curries here- they all contain some sort of fish or oyster sauce. So we got fried rices- no egg add tofu; and for starters we got egg rolls that the waiter said were actually vegan, as well as an order of tempura veggies because their batter for the tempura is also egg free.)] One person seemed to enjoy their pad Thai alot, while the rest of us thought ours were just “okay”. Also My sister said bathrooms were filthy, she said worse than a concert portopotty. The atmosphere did seem intimate and chill with low lighting and string lights, but food is was underwhelming. The service was very good, waiter attentive, filled waters often. But for the food aspect, I don’t recommend this place.
Sushi was good. Haven't tried anything else on the menu but it was nice to have good quality nigiri. The rolls were good, the quality of rice was good. Albeit a bit on the pricey side, I enjoyed the evening and didn't regret my purchase. One of my peers gave this a one star for the food taking long, we were a party of 6 and they were really busy with online orders. Our server did in fact apologize for the amount of time it took for the food to come out. If I'm in Roger's park area and craving sushi I would absolutely return for some nigiri.
We were the only people there and our orders took way too long to receive. No acknowledgement from our waiter either saying our food isn't out yet or apologizing for the long wait. They also overcooked the chicken in their Teriyaki dish making it dry tasting and plastered lots of vegetables leaving only 4-5 pieces of chicken. :/ Waste of time and you get way less than what you pay for. Sad to say, but Panda Express is better.
This is a hidden gem. Really great sushi and Thai dishes. The basil fried rice is excellent.
We did carry-out so can't comment on the service but the food is very good and prices are a little lower than other Thai places in the neighborhood
The food from Pride is excellent, delivery is "on time," as set up with your order. Everything is very fresh and delicious! We have also eaten in the restaurant, a very clean and quiet place with great service. You can't go wrong!
Great food, calming ambience, friendly staff. An oasis along busy Peterson. What more can you ask for? Thank you!
Great food and great service!!
Fave Thai place! Soo good! Great quality
Delicious! Friendly service! Highly recommend stopping by!
Came here for a dinner with friend. Had an amazing time, delicious food and a great waiter!
Definitely recommend 👌
I'm usually not a big fan of sushi, but I went here with a few friends. Their rainbow maki was so good, and I enjoyed the chicken satay too. My friends and I almost came back for seconds the next day! Good food and great service.
I thought this place would be great based on all of the reviews I saw, and I was sadly mistaken. I ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai with an extra side of peanut sauce, some Thai Bubble tea, and a green tea Mochi.
I don't know why, but this restaurant decided to leave the shrimp tails ON the shrimp. I don't know about you, but I want to dig into my noodles and not have to worry about getting my hands messy and pulling off shrimp tails. I want my Pad Thai to go straight into my mouth. So we're already off to a bad start. But THEN. THEN I added on the peanut sauce. Do NOT order the peanut sauce. It tasted okay, but the aftertaste literally tasted like vomit. VOMIT. Like not "sort of like vomit." I mean actual straight vomit. It was unpalatable five seconds after swallowing. I had to cover up the disgusting flavor with the Bubble Tea. Which, to be fair, was very very good, and the only reason this place is getting two stars instead of one. I decided to try the Mochi, and it wasn't very good. It was way too thin, and it just didn't have the proper texture for Mochi.
All in all, I don't recommend this place. Apparently everyone loves this place, and I have no idea why.
Decent food and great customer service
I got the Chirashi Don and the fish was some of the best I've had in Chicago. The rice had more vinegar than expected, but I don't mind at all. The tempura udon was also great! I'm definitely going to order again.
Solid sushi and entrees. Quick and staff is very kind
They are our GO TO and have been for a year+ (and ESPECIALLY during 2020).
Really extensive selection and lovely fusion concept! And the BUBBLE TEA. My regular order has 4 for my partner and I. The quality is awesome and they get it to you in under an hour.
Always gracious, delicious, & expedient! Have enjoyed every meal. :)
(I also SPECIFICALLY call the restaurant to order delivery rather than via an app so I can tip them more and directly!! )
Best vegetarian sushi I've *ever* had! Got the tempura mixed veggie maki (SO GOOD), avocado roll, and chive dumplings. They even wrapped the ginger in aluminum foil - so thoughtful and full of care. Delicious basil fried rice (great for my friend who doesn't eat eggs). Great options for vegetarians and meat eating friends loved it too! So impressed. Will definitely be ordering in again!! Soon! :) Thank you so much!
Not what we expected, stir fried basil beef not even had basil in it and meat supposedly be grounded. It was not taste like it at all. Everything is way way sweet. Green curry, not even taste like it. Lots kind of particular veggies were missing. Not even close to original Thai cooking. Not to mention sushi.
The sushi was fresh, satay tasty, and the wings meaty. The sauce for the wings was bland.
My last order was disappointing; The Grill Steak Salad -3 small pieces of steak on lettuce. What happened, had ordered this in the past & it was good.
Was supposed to get complementary Crab Rangoon, never happened. Panang Curry w/ chicken, again a tiny amount of chicken. What's going on, have ordered from here a dozen other times w/out any issues. I'll give it another go & hope the neg was a fluke.
Fresh and tasty
Best Thai in the hood. The CBS crew are over here all the time.
Really great food, friendly people, reasonable price. Best thai food I know of in the area.
Spectacular service. Delicious food and nice place to visit.
Great customer service.
Great food.
Fast service.
BYOB
Love this little place.
I love the Sushi here. Nice place with really good people serving. Had a great time.
Excellent Japanese and Thai foods
Good food but customer service gotten much worse and don't even get me going on the new ordering platform that keeps on crashing... Being the old customer I am, I decided to order my lunch as I did in the past (via their website). Usually it takes for them about 15-20 minutes to get the food ready so I sent someone to pick it up knowing that the food should be hot and fresh by the time they get there... was i wrong or what!? So first the website kept on crashing and drop menus would not open to allow me to order my usual. After crashing 3 times, I called and was first put on hold and than after my order was placed, I asked very politely to expedite my order since it was 10-15 after I already sent someone to get it. After explaining the crashing website and all, I was told the wait is what it is and they have other customers that are already waiting... no problem at all... that's the last time you'll see my money.
Great pad see ewe with tofu, huge portions (2 lunches for me!) And the most delicious dragon ever
Good food
Had the spicy crispy chicken dish and crab rangoons. Both dishes were outstanding. Rangoons were crispy and the sauce that came with them was drinkable, so good. The chicken was all white meat, fresh, and cooked to perfection. Quality vegetables with the chicken too, tasted fresh. Will definitely be coming back again to try something new.
Great family owned spot. Fokd is superb
Great spot for Thai and Sushi. We discovered this little neighborhood gem 4 or 5 years ago. We have taken many people to this restaurant and they have all become repeat customers. We have tried at least 15-20 different items on the menu over the years and have loved it all. The people are very friendly and the atmosphere is so relaxing. I love that they have pictures of their customers covering the wall when you walk in. They still have a pic on the wall of me and my boyfriend from 2016. It's the perfect personal touch. I highly recommend.
First time getting takeout there, I got the sushi. It tasted fresh, the meal was packaged so nicely and securely and they give you plenty of ginger and soy sauce. The lunch specials are really affordable. I'll have to come back soon.
Good food. Excellent service. Couldn't have had a nicer experience here! Will be back
Good food, great service. ...
Delicious sushi
Great lunch specials. Also loved the pot of jasmine tea!
Great sushi owner is great woman (if she is one I thought)
Soups are good , little bit pricy
Great food! Friendly staff! Great prices
Great food
Made reservations ahead of time and couldn't guarantee me a table. Then a lady was rushing me on the phone and hung up on me. Terrible service and didn't even step foot inside. Unprofessional
