A little disappointed with my recent visit tonight. I have been here previously and never had an issue. Tonight, I ordered the Bangkok spicy fried rice with chicken. Pick up my order and when I get home I had regular chicken fried rice. It had a good flavor, but was not what I ordered and was looking forward too.

Chet, the owner of the restaurant, was very accommodating to our party of 6. Everything was clean and neat. The staff was welcoming. The menu is descriptive and well organized into categories such as fried rice varieties, sweet and sour dishes, mixed vegetable dishes, etc. Prices are very affordable and portions are appropriate and filling. They, also, offer 18 different flavors of Boba teas PLUS Boba toppings. Our food was quickly made fresh to order and was absolutely delicious! The pho I had was quite flavorful and the broth is NOT oily like at most places. The others our party really enjoyed their ginger chicken, sweet and sour chicken and kids chicken strip meals. A majority of us ordered the pho and were very pleased with our decision.
We even received some yummy Thai Iced Tea on the house! I'm not at all familiar with Thai Iced Tea but it has a delightful hint of chocolaty after taste. We will definitely make it a point to stop here along our way to the Dells from henceforth!

I had the soft shell crab and classic friee rice, and it was amazing! Every dish we ate was seasoned and cooked to perfection. Great portions. The service was awesome! Everything was top-notch!

Just discovered Bankok Thai Express two weeks ago and can’t get enough of this wonderful Thai food. We are trying something new every other day. Impress with the freshness of the vegetables. The thin sliced pork tenderloin used in the dishes is lovely.
There is only 3 booths for in house seating. We usually dine in although we have ordered takeout on two occasions when we had houseguests

Delicious egg rolls (chicken with homemade sauce), Bangkok spicy fried rice (not super spicy) was so good, pad se ew could’ve been a bit tastier, but still very good. Will definitely be back! And can’t wait to try new dishes.

Food was really fresh and delicious. We ate in and the service was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere is small, clean, well decorated, large tv, and comfy booths. I highly suggest stopping in for the drunk noodle and Thai Basil!!

I've never once been disappointed by anything I've had here, this place is fantastic and you're missing out if you haven't been yet! All the food is delicious and the honeydew boba is some of the best I've had

The flavor of the food was pretty average, but it is WAY overpriced for what you're getting. My husband and I each ordered 1 starter, 1 entree, and 1 drink. And it was $100. Insane. A big thing for me was the fact that the didn't take the tails off any of the shrimp. That was hugely disappointing. Probably won't go here again. If I'm paying that much, I expect better food and shrimp without tails...

Authentic. Excellent, it really made my day better tasting the panang curry, Thai is my comfort food. This hit the spot, instantly made me feel better especially with the rice more on the sticky side 😋 it took me back to Thailand 🇹🇭

Outstanding quality of food and service. All the various dishes I have ordered were absolutely delicious. Highly recommend this restaurant if you are in a mood for authentic Thai food.

First time ordering from this place. Food taste was excellent, however the portion for the price is very small in my opinion. Ordered red curry and its about little more than half of the size where you can get it at 88 Saigon down the street and taste just as good.

Great Food Very Delicious!

My Dad and I tried this place for the first time and it was excellent! For starters, egg rolls (4/order) were light and tasty, not heavy like Chinese versions. Dad had Thai basil shrimp and I had garlic chicken (medium heat, they can adjust the spice level for you), and the meat and vegetables were fresh and cooked perfectly. Finished up with a cool Thai Ice tea (highly recommend). Owner is really nice, and the place is very clean. We’ll definitely be back and recommend to family and friends.

Spice levels are accurate, spicy was pretty spicy. I wouldn’t level up to very spicy unless you can really handle the heat.

Probably the best Thai food in the Elgin area! Picked up an order 30 mins before close and everything was hot and fresh! When ordering online you can add extras to many dishes (like bean sprouts and other veg) so you know everything is made to order. I found the medium spice level to have quite a kick to it, but I usually don’t eat spicy food - so medium and higher is great if you love spicy! The crab rangoons and dumplings were absolutely delicious and crunchy. Bangkok Thai express is definitely our new go to for take out!

I've been waiting for a very close Thai restaurant for some time. They have been open only a few days and are , so far, spot-on. We ordered delivery, it was delivered ahead of time (good news we were starving) and everything was what I expected it to be. Good quality, tasty Thai food. Really glad to have them so close by and this is a definite repeat customer.

[Edit] Two years ago I wrote this review, and little has changed. They still make great Thai food. Yesterday: Drunken noodles (spicy) were excellent as was the Pad Woon Sen (mild) and egg rolls. Note that the egg rolls here are not the peanut butter filled monstrosities you will get at most Asian take outs. These are thin, tasty and very delicious.

This place in my opinion is one of the best Thai restaurants in the business. Great food every time!!!!

We travel up from Kentucky periodically and this is the one place we always stop. Wonderful food!

Good food. Soups are good. Quantity is plentiful. Service is prompt and good. However- Sometimes they are not as spicy as expected.

Great find. Some of the best Thai food I've had in the suburbs. We had panko calamari, tom yum soup, Thai basil beef, pho, and the Bangkok spicy fried rice. The fried rice, pho and tom yum soup were amazing and I'd recommend you give them a try.

So I ordered Beef Lad Na. I payed $15.26. My complaint is I received a very small portions of noodles compared to a nice amount of gravy that includes beef & brocolli. The ratio is definitely off. You can see with the picture I posted. I would not pay $15 for this and not even $11. I will not returned again. Sorry. I wish this restaurant the best of luck and will hope they will take my concern VERY seriously.

The food here is amazing. I work close and eat takeout here 3-4 times a week. My favorites are the beef drunken noodles, beef pad se ew, and pepper steak. Owner and staff are really kind.

Food is very good. Would give them 5 stars but they’re very slow and understaffed. Hope it’s just s Covid thing. Also, ask for hot chili sauce to take it beyond the suburbanization of flavor.

Changing my review to 5 stars since they seemed to have worked out the kinks of being new. They changed their ordering app which was a much needed upgrade. Most of all, the food is awesome. I consider myself a foodie, so I should know. We are really lucky to have such great Thai food takeout in the area.

First time here. We got chicken pad thai, chicken pho, and spring rolls. Asked for extra spicy pad thai as other places never make it spicy even when asked. Well they listened and delivered the HEAT, no joke! Nice size serving of Pho. Everything was fresh flavorful. Will certainly visit again to try other items.

I moved to Carpentersville from a suburb outside of Chicago. I was very unsatisfied by the food options here. I was traveling an hour back towards the city just to get my favorite food which is sometimes Thai. I discovered BangTok Thai Express which is only 4 minutes away and it is amazing. I’m planning on moving back to where I originally lived and will probably drive an hour back to BangTok 🤗

We just moved to the area within the past year. During Covid we have been venturing out to try small businesses to help them along. We tried Bangkok Thai Express this evening and we thoroughly enjoyed the food. Spring rolls were very fresh - Thai Basil chicken was delicious - Sweet and sour pork (pork packaged separately so it wasn't swimming in sauce) very good. We will be back.

Absolutely fantastic! We received a menu in the mail for this place and I was so excited to try it. The food was delicious! We ordered chicken pad thai, beef red curry, Bangkok sampler and beef pho. Yum!! We've been looking for a good Thai restaurant nearby and we are so glad this place opened up. We will definitely be coming back again, especially for those delicious Boba drinks!

Also, I loved that their online menu has photos of the dishes. Not many places offer that. I'm very indecisive about food so I love to see the dishes before I put in my order!

This is a fantastic restaurant I had all vegetarian food so I can’t speak to the meat the vegetables are done just correctly the sauce of the red curry is flavorful the drunken noodles are exactly what I wanted with a variety of vegetables in it not just three types like some places have The pad Thai was very good it tasted like they used good eggs in them you can tell bad pad Thai by the types of eggs that are used it makes it taste funky I also had the Rama vegetables which is a peanut sauce-based vegetable and that was perfect as well overall this is a wonderful restaurant and I will definitely be utilizing them several times a month the foodIs much healthier than a lot of options in the area anyway so I’m glad to have them in the neighborhood

We received a menu in the mail from here. I did not hear about this place prior to that. We tried it out the same day because there was 25% discount for new customers. Great marketing tool because the food is fantastic and we will be returning for sure.

Everything was cooked properly with fresh ingredients and generous portions, but if you’re looking for spice, this ain’t it. Pad Thai and Massaman Curry were both extremely bland and watered down.

The food is amazing and was very fresh. I was so happy to see a Thai resturant open near my house. The pad thai has been the best I have had in awhile. I also ordered the Pho and person that had it told me it was the best. I can't wait to try other foods on the menu.
